Fast Process

Vivint Solar reached out to my wife and I since we have their security system to see if Solar was something we wanted to consider. During our first meeting our sales rep, Eric, had a full breakdown of our average electric with JEA and provided a comparison if we were to switch to Solar. He was extremely informative and made the process of signing up so easy! The panels have already been installed, now we are just waiting on the final inspection snd for them to get turned on!

Save with Solar

Sunrun allows you to have Solar installed with NO out of pocket costs up front. Sunrun owns the Solar panels and guarantees them for 25 years and will replace non functioning panels at NO cost to the consumer. You pay for the KWH (Kilowatt Hours) that the panels generate on a monthly basis and excess energy supplied to SDGE will be credited on a yearly basis by SDGE. You have the option to buy the panels at a reduced cost after 6 years and will no longer have the monthly payment to Sunrun. Note that the 25 year guarantee will be null and void if you buy the panels. Solar panels DO NOT come with a warranty. The 25 year Warranty is only covered by Sunrun, Inc.

SunRun is a good solar company

When I had questions or needed an issue addressed, SunRun/Vivint has been very responsive. The customer that we recommended some years (2) has also been satisfied. I still want to reiterate the focus for existing customers who want to add battery backup to their systems..This is key for us to remain solar customers as we want to be independent on the monopoly power company PG$E who we have to have as our Gas and Electric service.

Proactive service and maintenance

We noticed that our recently installed system was not producing the right amount of power and were about yo call customer service when to our surprise, we received a call from Field Maintenance seeking to make an appointment to service the system. He got here as scheduled and corrected the problem that the system was not communicating with Sunrun and when I explained it wasn't producing enough he looked at our inverter and saw we were only getting about half the production, so he will be coming back to fix the issue when he has the parts and we will be getting a credit for the lost production. That is excellent service!

sun run proved "too good to be true)

i got an email from my cable provider telling me i can get solar panels with no money down, free installation, a very low lease cost, and a gift card. i've always wanted solar panels and my curiosity got the better of me. i was so glad i called. the sales rep, weston wheelehar, put us at ease and was able to answer all my questions (and there were a lot). i signed my contract in april of 2018. sun run applied for all the permits with no cost to me. it took a little while for the permits to come through and getting the inspectors to pick a date to turn on my panels, but finally in august my panels were turned on. i saw the savings in october ( we decorate for halloween and christmas) even though it was later in the year. having the panels made a huge difference. one of the best choices i ever made.

Don't be a slave to Southern California Edison

I moved into my home about 3 years ago and I knew with all of the prevalent Sunshine up here and the high temperatures my electricity was going to be an issue. I moved in in late spring and contacted Sunrun within the first month to start my solar experience and I have never regretted it. My electricity bills are Rock Solid every month and automatically paid through my account. Even though I've been keeping the house in the mid to Upper 70s All Summer Long with your conditioning running almost Non-Stop day and night some days I have never received an overage charge for electrical usage. My pool pump runs 6 hours every day while the sun shines and it is crystal clear and ready for a nice cooling dip. I keep lights on in the house while I'm away without ever worrying about electric usage and my home always look like there is someone there even when empty, which is important as the home break-in rate in the high desert has increased exponentially since I moved up here. Anyone that is not taking advantage of the sun beating on the roof and creating enough electricity to run their home and put something back into our overloaded electrical grid is very foolish. I'm sure that some of my neighbors who don't have solar have been paying some pretty enormous electric bills this summer or suffering as they try to tolerate temperatures in the mid to Upper 80s inside their homes because they cannot afford to run their air conditioners and make their homes livable. Thank God for Sunrun and for the continued sunshine that creates more electricity than I use everyday. Gas prices have increased over 240% in the last year or so and I am seriously considering some way of heating my house during the winter using the plethora of extra juice that my cells provide every day.

Quality Product & Quality Service

From day one when the gentleman showed up at my door, I was apprehensive. However, from that point on the customer service has been exemplary. Every phone call, email or in person communication has been professional, kind and super helpful. Having someone walk you through everything and still answering questions 5 calls later on the same thing and not being frustrated or rude as I get used to this new technology. The You Tube videos are super helpful as well, especially understanding the bill. My City was a pain in getting the inspector out for their part. I appreciate that you all stayed on top of them to make it happen. The only things I can say that would be a great addition is adding the bird guard option so that can be done all at once and having backup power that is not through Tesla. Other than that, I love my solar and I am very appreciative of the excellent customer service. Please do not ever change that. So many companies have it is is disappointing. I would pay more for a quality product and quality customer service. Please don't ever lower the standards. Thank you for being terrific!

In 2015 when I was having my system installed I was having some doubts about it's productions. Here I am Eight Years Later a very happy man that I made the decision to go with Sunrun. This is the truth I have not paid an electric bill since the system was installed. Richard Gauthier

Very helpful

From the beginning to the end Ariana Ryan have been very informative, helpful, n just someone thats easy to work with. No matter what questions i had she was there to answer it. Great Company

I've had solar panels for 8 years and there has never been a problem with any of the services provided by Sun Run. The panels continue to produce power and reduce my total electric bill. Also, I recently had a visit from Bruce Nelson to check on my system. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk to.
