My husband and I bought our home in 2020 and wanted to add solar to the home. We thought it would be difficult to have solar installed due to covid. The process was so smooth. There was a bit of wait before install, but completely understandable during Covid times. Our Energy Consultant was thorough and didn't just quote us for what we were using at that time. He guided us through expected changes in energy habits after going solar and included our future plans for the home (children + potential home upgrades). Side story: It is SO TRUE, people use more after going solar. I walked into the living room and asked why are so many things on at the same time. My husband had the TV, background music, and handheld device all on and literally said, "Don't we have solar?" Me = *Face Palm* Our greatest worry was we would not have power during a power outage, especially being in a home without adequate insulation and expecting a child. So our system included a battery to protect us during outages. A battery was a great call because our hayward neighborhood has so many outages throughout the year. The storms in December 2022 broke a couple of redwood tree branches on our property and the neighborhood had outages multiple times a week. We were so lucky to have power for lights and an electric heater. We were so glad that our consultant explained how California was transitioning to a more electrified state. We designed a system with more power than we needed at first. After having a baby and upgrading to an electric water heater, the system was able to cover just enough for us through the year. We have a negative bill for 3-4 months of the year and our average bill is about $11/month because PG&E charges to rent the smart meter on the home and we generate a bit of credit to cover $3-$4 of it. Not only that! Sunrun provided us a Subsidy to cover our roofing costs, which was such a HUGE game changer. The roof was probably 28+ years old and we had a couple of leaks in the roof. We got a few quotes ranging from $18k-$25k. Sunrun's cost at the time only included labor and materials. With the subsidy, our cost was only $4,000... Let that sink in for a second. Seriously, we felt so blessed. I'm sure roofing costs are much higher today because after Covid, materials and renovating costs shot through the...roof. ;) Overall, fantastic experience. I know a few people who when through a solar broker and their experience has not been as great as ours. I highly recommend going through a Local and Direct Sunrun Energy Consultant. Communication is great, you don't get transferred to multiple people, and the process is smoother.

Easy process

The end to end process was great. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and kind. We were kept up to date on the permitting process and once approved, our panels were installed two days later.

Exceptional and professional customer experience and work functions.

Sunrun and my sales representative/regional manager Rick Carns are the best in the solar business. I’ve run into a lot of issues with other solar companies and other sales reps and Sunrun and Rick were nothing like them. They literally gave the the best experience possible and the best product and service possible. Highly recommended! Don’t use another solar company, go with Sunrun! And ask for Rick!

What a team to compete with the best, everyone was on the same page when tKyle came out to assess the property, he was the type of hard worker that made you feel right at home and that goes with the whole team...kept it simple lets rejoice be thankful for Sun run!!

Review for Alex Sargisian

This review is specifically for Alex as he was very helpful for the situation we were in regarding our panels and breaker. We added panels in 2022 to our previous set and the third party installation team from Bright Planet added too many ponytails to our breaker when they were working. During the heatwave on July 11th, those ponytails melted and caused a small fire in the breaker box, but it was luckily contained in the boxer instead of spreading to the rest of the house. We only found out about the fire the next day when our AC stopped working and we called out AC company to ask them to look into it. The owner came by to check the unit, then checked the breaker and saw the fire damage to which he called his electrician to help us as quickly as possible as it was supposed to be 113 that day. The electrician was able to fix the damage for us and reconnect everything for $1200, complete with a full invoice detailing everything he did. Alex came into play the following day when he randomly arrived at our door to check on us as customers overall. He was not aware of the issue at hand and we had not alerted Sunrun yet. Despite not being our actual representative and not from Stockton, once he found about about our situation, he immediately went above and beyond for us to make sure we received a refund for the out of pocket expense and ensure it wouldn't happen again. He stayed at our home for about two hours, calling all the lines needed in order to advocate for us. At one point, one of the employee helpline call taker thought he was related to us somehow with how hard he was trying to find solutions. Alex also followed up numerous times via text to make sure we were on the right track. A few things needed to be corrected, and the process to actually getting any results took until late August, but Alex was right there the whole time. If it were not for him, we would probably had a much worse time with Sunrun and its service.

I highly recommend Sunrun for your solar needs. The process was fast and efficient. We have saved lots of money each month. Carolyn Villella was so helpful throughout the process and is absolutely amazing at what she does! I highly recommend this company.

Maika’i loa! Great job! Joseph Burns and the Sunrun crew was very polite, communicative and gave prompt service for our installation. They even used safety measures with cones and caution tape for the work areas. I was not expecting that. This attention to detail gave me more confidence in my decision for choosing this company. My experience since Carolyn Villella became my representative has been nothing but awesome. She stands by what she is selling besides when she says she's goingbto follow through right till the end she does. Even now it's been 5 months and she still is checking to make sure that I'm still a satisfied customer. Carolyn is definitely an asset to The Sunrun company.

I was a little skeptical of having solar panels and what the process entails but I was pleasantly surprised. Carolyn the sales representative was awesome and reassuring. She explained every step and walked me through it. Always following up with me during each stage of the process. Very professional and knowledgeable. A true asset to Sunrun. The entire experience with incredible. Mike Long was there with us throughout the entire process, answered any and all question and if he didn’t have the answer he put us in touch with the correct person. He was there on the day of install and have been following up with us ever since. We have recommended 2 of our friends already.

Great Costumer Attention

We installed Sunrun last year and after that decided to switch our heating system from oil to Electric heat pumps and water heaters. To be more efficient since we already had solar power. We spoke to Sunrun to add more panels because we increased ( double) our consumption. We reached out to Brian Galfano, our Rep and he explained and priced the new panels. It was a pleasure talking to him as he is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He was with us thru all the steps from pricing, installation, permits and finally turning on the system. Brian and Sunrun exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier. Thank you to the entire team!
