Great Experience!
From start to finish, the team we've worked with have been amazing. Alec was super patient with me, explaining the product and the process and keeping in contact at every step. Joe did a great job getting us through the permitting process, and ready for installation. Minnie was super quick to contact me for scheduling, and was super easy to talk to and arrange things with. The installation team especially, did a great job! They were onsite early, did fast but great work, and the at the end of the day was impeccable. I'm so happy I chose SunRun!

Delayed activation
System installed 2 years ago, finally activated after going through 4 different reps, company keeps blaming power company, however there have been significant delays on their end too, for which they refuse to take any responsibility. When I ask for some compensation based on the system not generating power for 2 years, and also the damage suffered by the loss of Warranty on the panels and roof during this timeframe, they refuse to provide any significant compensation and threaten me to turn off the system. Really poor customer service if you ask me. I would say RUN AWAY from Sunrun.

Negligent installation and the worst customer service
We had a roof leak before the 5 year warranty due to cracked tiles. This was repaired under warranty. Fast forward to year 9 and now more damage has finally appeared. Mold visible on the outside under the fascia. When we reached out to Sunrun they referred us to their current contractor who charged us $867.00 to remove 2 panels for inspection. After the panels were removed we were informed by the contractor (who Sunrun contracts with) that they do not do roof repairs. They only remove and reinstall panels. We were told we had to find our own roofer to do the repairs. A roofer inspected and found the roof is rotted all the way down to a hole in the ceiling due to holes drilled in wrong locations and never sealed. We now are left with 25 more panels to have removed to ensure there is no more damage. It has now been over 3 weeks and we still cannot get any assistance or response on how to get this resolved. Each time we do get to actually talk to someone we are told they will open a case and yet each time we call we have to re explain the entire situation as there has been no documentation made. The original installation company went bankrupt, imagine that. The customer service rep we do reach has very broken English and is virtually impossible to understand and continues to tell us that Remi (their current contractor) is who we need to contact. Remi keeps assuring us they do not do roof repairs. We are in Arizona and monsoons are on the way. We are so extremely frustrated and with that will advise anyone looking to get solar stay away from Sunrun and honestly reconsider installing any solar on your roof all together unless you get a better warranty for installer damage. Shame on Sunrun.. surely if was your roof you wouldn’t be okay with this lack of service.

Solar System Upgrade
I requested a diagnosis of my current system due to rising electric bills. After several calls without any progress, it was determined that I meet additional panels. After a few hiccups with the scheduling for the installation. It has been completed and inspected. I am waiting for the official activation and rebate for Sunrun.

Avoid at all costs
I thought as Costco supported them- there would be some reliability. They ruined our roof. It has leaked 3 times and they refuse to do the repairs the way our roofer recommends. They are impossible to get a hold of- it takes multiple calls, voicemails, calling for supervisors, and when you finally get a response the person who responds is clearly under trained and puts you off yet again. They send out repair people who admit lack of experience. They say you can use your own roofer to repair, but won't approve their quote. Go with ANY other company. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Poor customer service
System down for 3 months, repeated calls, broken promises, cancelled service appointments. Don’t go with Sunrun customer service is atrocious

The worst
Stay or run away from this solar company. No transparency, terrible customer service, bills are a surprise every month. You’re better off with PSEG. Sunrun is a scam.

Service Calls
Do Not Contract with SunRun. They contract their "maintenance and service and it takes over a month to schedule a service call. One of the Worst Decision of my life to get Solar with SunRun. Don't do it. You are better off paying current electrical prices. They will promise a lot and the delivery is quite lacking.

Sun Run is very good with the parts of installation that at under their control. Waiting on the permit and outside inspection is frustrating.

10 years are almost up and they won't replace a panel
I called 8 months ago stating that 2 panels were not producing power. A tech came out and determined that the panels need to be replaced. When it was time to come out and replace, the tech only replaced 1 panel and said he go the other one working, BUT he did NOT! The panel to this day is not producing power. When I called to get it replaced they said that the system is generating above the contracted amount and said they wouldn't replace it. Don't go with Sunrun!
