My project manager was great in keeping me informed with progress of the project. There was an issue with my city permits, but both the city and Sunlux worked to resolve the issues.

Helpful and professional!

Hi! We heard about SunLux from KFI and then from one of the neighbors and felt that the would look into SunLux to install our solar system. It was extremely simple from start to finish on SunLux's side. The only issue that I had wasn't with SunLux, but with SDGE. The positive is that Alex from SunLux was with us from day 1 and he helped make sure everything was in order with SDGE (even when they changed their policy in the middle of the approval), he was extremely patient with us and determined with SDGE. I highly recommend SunLux to those who are considering solar!!

A very good company

Over the years we have looked into solar many times. Recently I researched solar companies and contacted Sunlux myself. We had a very professional presentation by the salesman which was absolutely not high pressure but very informative. We also discovered that loans are not all the same. Some companies use loans that are very low in interest (1.99%) but have a hidden huge loan origination fee! Plus, after seeing the quality of their Tesla products and feeling very comfortable with the caliber of the company, we decided to go with Sunlux. Sunlux is one of very few companies that does not use contractors for the install but have all their own employees. Our installation went very smoothly and we were kept informed at each step of the way. The only problem was with the final completion of the project and receiving our permit to use from the electric company. We were told it would take approximately 6 weeks after installation to get our permit but I had to follow through with the project manager to push for final inspection with our city (finally done on October 31) so application could be made to Edison. After submission twice by Sunlux with errors causing it to be rejected twice, final approval was given by Edison on December 6 — 10 weeks after installation. Other than this final delay, everything went very smoothly and we are very pleased with our system. And we even had a small test of the abilities of the battery. Recently during a thunder storm our power went out briefly and it seamlessly switched over to the battery! What a wonderful thing to have peace of mind during a power blackout. We would definitely recommend Sunlux for any solar project.

Found that the entire journey was very easy. Everyone that we dealt with was professional and, most important, able to answer my questions. A big shout out to Berlyn Yamas, who, was very very friendly and helpful.

The whole company exceeded my expectations on my Solar System Install. Berlyn Yamas the Project Manager assigned to my job was superb. SunLux Exceptional Expertise/ Installation

My experience with SunLux was outstanding. We experienced Exceptional Expertise in Customer Service, Project Management and Installation. Chris Dillard was my initial point of contact. Chris provided an outstanding presentation both on paper and online explaining all of the detail of solar panels, the components, and the software that calculates the exact position of each panel based upon the exact path of the sun over the 365 day year utilizing the exact location of my home using GPS and over 1,000 drone photos. He also promptly called me back with all of my questions that came up. Chris provided excellent, professional, prompt customer service. Bonnie Torres provided above and beyond excellent, professional, prompt customer service, often multiple times per day, during all hours of the day, including evenings and weekends beyond normal business hours. I can not say enough about Bonnie’s knowledgeable expertise on all facets and components of the project, all while juggling many members of the SunLux team that performed installation at my home. In addition, she continuously was in contact with the city of Ventura in regard to the final approval of my SunLux Solar components, and she expedited the final approval with Edison, our power company for Ventura County and much of California. Without Bonnie’s relentless communication with the City of Ventura, I believe the final approval process it would have taken much longer, as I have heard of from other neighbors, friends and colleagues that have had solar installed at their homes. Again, I am so grateful that Bonnie was our Project Manager, as that is such a critical, focal point in the success of any project. Lastly, Jessica Britzman - Engineer Who Mapped the Panals and our entire System, including SolarEdge, provided excellent, professional, prompt customer service. I would recommend anyone that is considering solar power for their home to compare three competitors to SunLux when making a final decision on which company to choose for their home solar solution. It will become evident by the expertise of SunLux in Customer Service, Project Management and Installation that SunLux will be the superior choice.

Complicated process but worth it at the end!

I ordered the Tesla battery after my system was installed, (quite efficiently), a couple of years ago; however, it took a long time for Tesla to make it available. Once it came in, Sunlux was right there for the installation, then it was the City of Ventura's chance to slow everything down due to their staffing issues. We made it past that and So Cal Edison took their sweet time in approving the work, which was solely because of their bureaucracy. The battery works great and I'm ecstatic with everything Sunlux installed. Thanks for your patience and tenacity.

Five-Home Installation

After signing the agreement to contract Sunlux to install solar panels on five homes, LG announced the company was ceasing production of its solar panels. Although it was no fault of their own, Sunlux upgraded all five homes to more powerful, more aesthetically appealing, and more expensive Tesla solar panels for the same price quoted for the LG panels. It was an unexpected gesture that reassured me I had made the right choice of solar installer.

I was satisfied with my solar system from sales to installation. Berlyn, the PM, was very helpful during the installation process. Chris, with sales, was very thorough with the system and the contract. The system was activated last 8/26/22. So far it has been performing well. Waiting for my first electric bill with solar.

Great service

Our questions were answered and the install went well. We had frequent contact with the project manager, Alex, who was helpful with all of our questions and concerns.

The process took a few months from start to finish but Sunlux was there the whole time making sure everything was moving forward. Our sales representative was Gary Lupo, he was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Our project manager was Erik Karlson, he also was very helpful, easy to get in touch with and he handled everything from scheduling the installation, securing the necessary permits, and working with our electric company. All-in-all it was a good experience. We are looking forward to having solar and reducing our electric bill.

I would recommend Sunlux. I had a new roof installed and solar panels. They did a wonderful job. The company is very professional and they kept me informed through out the entire process. A big thanks to Fernando and Erika.

(Few Tips and Checks to Look For) My overall experience with Sunlux from sales to project completion has been great! Gary “Don” Lupo was my salesperson. His sales presentation included all the info that required me to choose a contractor. Besides, Don was always available to listen and give advice to any of my concerns throughout the project lifecycle. My project manager was Erika Garcia. She was thorough in everything she did from project initiation to closeout, including HOA coordination and making sure my solar installation was completed on time in a professional manner. The Sunlux contract had all activities listed in a step-by-step process with estimated durations. This helped me understand what activity would come next and how long would it take to get it completed. Contract signed in 9/2021. Due to Covid, my HOA approval took almost a month to complete which delayed the city and fire approvals. After materials were ordered, the solar installation took just 1.5 days. Main Service Panel installation took a few weeks to complete since after each step a city inspection was required. I was ok with the stucco and lathe completion delays due to heavy rain. SCE PTO approval was the most critical one, which took less than (3) days to complete. I had my solar connected to SCE before the end of 12/2021. I am glad I chose Sunlux for my Main Service Panel upgrade and Solar System installation. I recommend them to anyone! Tips and Checks to consider: Request (3) quotes. Decide your expectations such as solar system size, panel types/size, count and placement of panels on the roof, and most important warranties. Do No Hurry to select a contractor. Read the contract twice to make sure you are getting everything you were offered at the time of sale to avoid any changes later. Ask for a “final-final-final” drawing, as last-minute changes are common in this profession. Take before and after photos of your solar installation. In my opinion, a contractor can get away with a change they made without informing you, but if you happen to make any changes later, then that will be considered as a change order costing you a little bit of fortune! Make sure to ask for all final documents that you as a homeowner should keep for future use, i.e. Utility NEM and PTO agreements, photos, city approvals, any warranty doc, and stamped drawings. Neither the Utility nor the City will retain these documents. Excellent from beginning to end!

Sales consultant (Bill Young) was professional, super knowledgeable, courteous & assertive without the pushy sales tactics. Everyone from the office to installers on the jobsite, were friendly and completed the job with professionalism. This project is almost complete and waiting on City approval. Great experience.

First rate service

I felt thoroughly taken care of at every step of the process of purchasing and installing solar panels. This process is entirely new to me and Alex at Sunlux made the journey simple to understand and took his time to make sure I was fully informed at all times. Dealing with local municipalities can be a slow and confusing process and alex stayed on top of it for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sunlux to a friend. Great solar installation

Alex was in touch with me every step of the way throughout the process. It was a long process, but Alex informed me of this ahead of time. The installation proceeded smoothly, often without us having to be home. I am very pleased with my new "greener" house. Thank you Alex and Sunlux.

Our experience with Sunlux was very good from start to finish. Don explained how we can benefit from solar and very thorough in explaining the difference between leasing and buying our solar panels. We opted to purchase the system which made more sense to us. Our project manager, Erik was in constant contact with is guiding us every step of the way. He was quick to respond by text, email or phone. The installation took 1.5 days and the system was operational when the crew left. The city inspection took a couple of weeks, but that’s on the city not Sunlux. I have already recommended Sunlux

Exceptional service from Jerry Hong

I'm so glad to have found Jerry from Sunlux. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and customer orientated person. He will explain all the pros and cons on choosing different equipments and offer his suggestion on what's best for the customer and not trying to sell every equipments. His initial presentation was full of information and he prepared the proposal the next day morning and the office team also provided all the documents within the same day. I am extremely impressed by their efficiency. They also have great pricing compared to other companies. I would highly recommend Jerry to anyone.
