SunLux Solar Installation

Please do your solar system research homework. I spent almost 8 years researching and interviewing prospective solar installers and finally settled on Sunlux Energy Inc. My installation was one of the first to use both solar and battery systems. This install was tough going at first, however, Sunlux provided on-going support throughout the entire process. In fact, Sunlux continues to provide great support to this day. My first yearly bill indicated that SCE owed me. Wow! Now that's a smoking solar/battery system. Kudos to Sunlux Energy Inc.

New roof and Solar panels

I did a lot of research on solar companies for some time and I was please to see that SunLux was the right choice from the research I had done. I had both the roof and the solar system installed. They are A rated, have been upfront from the beginning and best of all they are guaranteeing my system, inverter, and MY roof (to not leak where they installed or altered) for 25 years. From the very start I was a little skeptical, but the salesperson who helped me was very honest and didn't pressure me at all. After the sales process, someone comes out and surveys your house then to the design/engineering team. Engineering made plans and sent them to me for approval. After I said yes, they had to get approved from city. After all was approved it was time for installation. Everything went better then I expected. The install was fast and clean. They are quick, there is no disruption to you or your family, if you blink you may miss them. Very easy to get in touch with. In fact It was so easy that I still question if they were even at my house! Lucky for them the roof and solar panels at the house is proof that they were there!

Great and Extremely Professional Work

SunLux was great. Were there issues with the install? Yes. Is it normal to have a hiccup here and there? Yes. What made it great though was the communication by the office and the installers. They were all very professional and courteous. Even when the city no show canceled on their second reschedule for inspection SunLux did everything they could to get me back on the inspectors' schedule. I have already recommended them to five friends that are looking to have solar installed. Thank you for being professional, communicating, and accommodating.

sales rep was not pushy. everything was explained in detail. all our questions were answered. after sitting with several companies we chose sunlux and glad we did. Installation took only 1 day. the technicians were very courteous answered my questions, they explained the process before starting and the installation was very clean and professional. very satisfied.

Honest and Quality Product

After getting four estimates for solar panels we selected SunLux because of their customer service, quality name brand components and price. Our sales associate was honest, up front and worked with our needs and budget. Other companies wanted to install more panels than we needed, this would make our monthly payment for the panels more than our current electric bill without solar, defeating the reason for getting solar. Our sales associate worked out the numbers to come up with a system perfectly suited for our needs to zero out and produce more electricity than we need, but stay within our budget. In addition the components they use are name brand components with an excellent warranty. Other companies that we got estimates from used no name components with a lousy warranty period. The installers were quick, courteous and cleaned up after they were done. Another reason we went with Sunlux was they said we didn't need an electrical panel upgrade. Our panel is original to the house built in 1963. After the sight evaluation it was determined that it had the correct amp rating and had enough space to add the circuit breaker for the solar panel system. The other companies just said our panel is to old and must be upgraded without even looking at it. This would add an additional $3000. Also I wanted the electrical conduit run through the attic not on top of the roof making a cleaner looking installation. They said this is their standard practice to run it through the attic. Several other companies charged an extra $300 dollars to run the conduit through the attic. The experience we had with Sunlux was excellent, from estimates, financing, installation and customer service.

Bait and switch

Don't sign with this company they will give you a reasonable deal during initial talks, very responsive during this time frame. But after signing in the dotted line things changed drastically. A few days after signing I review notice via phone call the price of the equipment will increase 75% due to errors on behalf of the distributor. I email the owner requesting answer and have yet to replied to it has been over 3 weeks. My suggestion to all that read this is to go with a different company any company. They had the nerve to force their distributor to call me instead of responding to me direct. Still awaiting answer and a resolution will update once I get one? But as for now don't make the same mistake I did.

Awesome Price and Great Quality

When I decided to go solar, I conducted an extensive research and got quoted by multiple companies. At the end, it came down to price, quality, but most importantly warranty. Sunlux provided me with the best warranty and the best price. No other competitor could beat their quote, while providing you the extensive warranty Sunlux did. My sales person, Adam Cunningham, was simply the best. He was so responsive and very attentive to everything I wanted. He thoroughly explained everything I needed to know in order to make an informed decision. Every time I had a concern he was prompt to respond to my calls and emails. His customer service was seriously off the charts. I would recommend working with Adam. He will make sure that everything that was promised is delivered. The only hiccup I encountered was with another representative because I complained about the installation of my skirting system, which I highly recommend for aesthetic purposes. It was poorly installed, but they took ownership of the problem and fixed it. Adam was able to be the mediator and had the problem resolved quickly. I highly recommend that you get everything in writing when it comes to installation, especially if you are asking for something really specific. It simply helps in case there are any issues along the way. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the service and the work that was performed.

From the time the SunLux workmen came to our home to install our solar panels, until the job was completed, the men worked every minute from the time they started until the job was finished. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing and they completed the job at the exact time they estimated. Which was the same day I would recommend SunLux for your solar installation company

Solar with Peace of Mind

I chose SunLux because of their reputation and for who was promoting them. I might have gotten a slightly lower price elsewhere, but I wouldn't have gotten the peace of mind that comes with their process and guarantees. They were very professional from the start, even admitting to accidentally spilling some paint on my driveway that I would never have noticed. I liked how much I was able to contribute to the discussion of how big the system should be. I was included the whole time. I also like the Solar Edge monitoring app. The only thing I might have liked for them to do differently is to give me some written instructions on how to turn on the unit. I was supposed to get a lesson after the inspection. But with a last minute change of time by the county, I was unable to get there. So it would have been nice to have something in writing.

Sunlux Solar Installation

The installation of our Solar System by Sunlux went very well...the crew came in and very methodically installed the Panels and related conduit and meters in a professional manner. There were no real issues and the repair to the stucco where they installed the upgraded electrical panel was done well and the color match was good. The only area where I would have asked for a better job is the lack of any Instructions on how we can monitor the new system. They did not even give a basic summary of where I could get the information until I complained to the office and then was told to contact Sunrun. Overall, the Installation was done well, it was just the lack of any communication regarding the ongoing monitoring that could be improved.

Reliable Company even after installation!

I interviewed 5 solar companies before I decided on Sunlux. They were the only company who would show me their contract before I decided to buy from them. Their salesperson, Ryan Reyes, continued to answer my questions and thoroughly explained my options in purchasing the equipment. Also, Sunlux is located in the State of California where I live. Many of the companies have salespersons here, but the Company itself is located out of State. That is horrible if you have any disputes with those Companies as you have to go tho their State to resolve any legal differences. Sunlux was quick to supply me with their license and insurance information. Sunlux gave me a twenty-five (25) year parts and labor guarantee. The other companies only wanted to give twenty-five years on the panels but 10 years on the labor. This was very important to me as inverters normally need to be replaced after 10 to 11 years. The electrical inspector had signed off on their work. However, a second inspector stated some additional work had to be done on the 220 panel they installed. As soon as I contacted them, even though the permit had been approved, Sunlux was there to go the extra mile and follow the suggestion of the second electrical inspector. The stucco work done on the house initially did not blend in to the rest of the wall on the side of the house. Sunlux made sure their contractor came out again and feathered the stucco work to blend in with the remainder of the wall. I have worked with contractors on improvements to my home and I have to say they are the most reliable contractor I have dealt with---especially after they had received their final payment! I was also impressed with the fact once I told them what other solar companies were offering - they made sure to investigate and bring to the table any extras other companies were giving as additional perks to sign.....In summary, Sunlux stands behind their product and I greatly appreciate receiving an electrical bill of $12.50 for the hottest month of the year. Solar was a good choice and Sunlux is the right company to spend your dollars with.

Happy to have gone green with SunLux

Sales and support staff was patient, available and knowledgeable. The sizing of my installation has proven to be appropriate have seen me though a very hot summer with lots of haze from fires and partly cloudy days. I'm very pleased.

We shopped around for solar panel companies and we are glad that we settled on SunLux. We have been very pleased with our solar installation experience. We felt that they really care about their customers. We didn't feel pressured after the initial proposal. They gave us plenty of space and time to think about what we wanted and answer any questions that we had before coming to our final decision. We had been interested in going solar for a number of years and began researching solar panels and installation providers. I contacted several solar companies, including Sunlux, for information and estimates on our household solar needs. When the Sunlux representative began going through the solar plan for our home we knew we’d finally found the right company. The representative was well prepared and had tailored ‘the numbers’ of our solar usage to our house and our actual energy needs. We didn’t have to guess or try to estimate how many panels or the output or the impact on our long term energy budget. Everything was laid out - easy to understand and clearly presented. And the cost was competitive- less than other companies we had contacted. It was an easy decision to move forward! And then, Sunlux handled EVERYTHING! They scheduled to evaluate our roofline, and worked with us on an aesthetically appealing panel configuration. They also applied for our solar rebate from the local energy company on our behalf. The installation crew was thorough and efficient and had our 24 panel system installed in a day and a half! Sunlux then scheduled the city inspection and power company meter installation to finalize the project - we didn’t have to a thing! And they kept us notified of each next step along the way. The panels look amazing and operate wonderfully! Sunlux even sent us a link at the end of the installation to download an app to monitor the output of the panels in real time. We are very grateful that we found such a professional and organized company. We highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering solar! Sunlux made it extremely easy and we can’t imagine the process would’ve been this smooth with any other company. Five stars!
