After years of living in the country with excessive power outages with PG&E (5 in 6 weeks) we needed a solution to keep our lights on and the well pumping our water. We couldn’t be happier with the results! Recently we had severe storms and our batteries charged themselves up to 100% so we would have them as a backup should the winds cause power outages. We wish we had done this years ago!

Dominick is extremely knowledgeable in available rebates , he even submitted the rebate on my behalf. I will use Solarponics and Dominick in the future ! 10/10

Great company. They set up our system so our electric bill averages less than $10 a month even with pumping water from our well and irrigating.

The installation of my car charger was done while I was away simply because they had an opening earlier than originally planned. The crew was able to accomplish the entire project quickly and provided me with photos of the finished product. They matched exactly the plan earlier submitted. The told me how to get the system set up and working so that when I returned home I could immediately begin charging my car saving me from having to use commercial chargers as soon as I arrived. i was very happy with the whole process and results.

The experience was excellent. I was nervous as this was a new world to me as its my first EV. Dominic made the whole process smooth and educated me a long the way. He was very prompt and communicated with me effectively throughout the whole process. I also like that Solar Ponics is a local family owned company

Aadi, the Solarponics customer service representative provided a clear picture of what the installation would involve. The Solarponics team showed up on time and completed the installation in a couple of hours. The installation team explained the city inspection process. Aadi followed up with a day and time for final inspection. Now waiting for this to occur this week. In the meantime, I’ve used the charger to refuel the Mach E overnight and charger performed as advertised. Very happy with results.

If you’re considering Solarponics for your solar installation, I’d encourage you to keep looking. It’s rare to come across a contractor that manages to disappoint in so many ways – bad at listening to what their customer wants, bad at communicating with them over the course of the project, bad at the technical side of things, and not that interested in providing follow-up service when installation mistakes crop up almost immediately. In Solarponics, you’ll find all of that. Ours was an all-around costly, frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope you never have to find out exactly how bad.

We were very impressed with the write-up in the monthly Paso newsletter and could tell this was a solar company different from others. From the first call with Ron, who took the time to explain everything, to the proposal, Ron's assistance with working with the County on the EV Charger rebate, the installation and then meeting in our home to review our PGE bill and help us understand the intricacies of the power we're not generating. This last consultation was educational and reinforced why we went with solar and Solarpoinics.

Phil was excellent in explaining how our batteries function, what to expect and our financial positives in regards to rebates. Our entire experience with Solarponics has been excellent. We have a large solar panel array and Tesla batteries that they installed. Everything works great and we have no electric bill or True Up charge!

From Start to Finish on the installation of Solar panels, Tesla Batteries, Water heater and re-circulation pump the job was done in a smooth and professional manner. Very impressed and will refer to neighbors.

In mid Jan 2023... just 3 months before PG&E's NEM 2.0 grandfathered deadline... Solarponics was just 1 of 2 vendors willing to provide a feasibility study for our faculty condo development showing equitable allocation of solar roof space on 3 different building designs with 3-4 units each. This willingness to do so is even more impressive knowing that they would have to contend with 3 entities - Cal Poly Corporation that owns the ground sublease, HOA and external community property manager The Management Trust that didn't have an approval policy/process in place. Other vendors preferred working with homeowners that didn't have these constraints. Solarponics' Todd Burnett provided these studies on the preliminary visits with homeowners. He was also the ONLY sales person that called out the concern re: that “our roofs look tired.” That prompted us to check with our HOA and a roof inspector to find out the remaining useful life of the roofs. We appreciated the honesty up front so we can make an informed decision. Kudos to Todd and the Solarponics team for their EXTRAORDINARY patience with the HOA, The Management Trust and Cal Poly Corporation... which pushed installation timelines by 4-5 months beyond other homeowners. The installation of all 4 condos’ solar panels and inverters were completed over 2 days. The installation and the inspection went really smoothly. I highly recommend Todd and Solarponics team (Jake, JJ, Sal & install crew)!

We hesitated to hire Solarponics because they were more expensive than some other solar companies, but we are glad we did. We chose them in part because they are local to our area, and because we had heard good things about them. We bought solar, a battery, and a generator from them. All went smoothly and we had good experiences with the sales, installation, and service personnel. Recommended.

Very professional. Workers were friendly and knowledgeable and did excellent work. Solarponics modified the panel layout at our request so they were less visible from the street. They worked with our schedule and our installation date was actually moved UP so we could be home at that time. We have a flat roof. (Other companies had refused us). Solarponics follow-up support (regarding tax rebate and the solar-edge app) was also excellent.

I chose Solarponics because of the service and the fact they have been around a long time and were local. The service was always good - friendly, quick to respond, answered questions. Only slight issue is that they need to be more proactive in giving status updates when there is an expected delay (equipment availability, city, PG&E). They do cost a bit more than others but the service and experience makes it worth it.

Since our move to California we have watched the growth of the solar energy solution and we have studied it. After a friend's successful installation and referral we requested a meeting with Solarponics. Kristian Emrich provided a thorough overview and detailed presentation geared to our specific needs and expectations. In addition to his knowledge and patience answering our questions, his professionalism and personal manner were assuring, confidence building, and friendly. That he valued and expressed the standards of a family run business with best practices while also being associated with industry and quality leaders confirmed why he and Solarponics drew such an endorsement. The familie's long history in Solar solutions is also gratifying. When making an investment of this nature it is important to have solid confidence in the team. Justin and a helper came out to diagnose a problem with a system they installed some time ago. It turned out that when it was installed it was wired wrong by the folks from Solarponics who installed it initially. The good news is that Justin was patient and figured out the problem and corrected it. That is the 5 stars. The fact that it was wired up wrong by the same company orginially is a 1 star. This service visit was great, however.

Solarponics(SP) has delivered on the promise to install the solar system we purchased. Though there were some problems with the tiles of our roof (they're old and brittle), SP replaced all of the broken tiles at their cost and delivered the final product very quickly. Our system is producing more power than we use, we're happy with the product, the installation and the customer service.

From our first meeting with Jeff Riley to our last he was professional, informative and very helpful. He responded promptly to my emails and phone calls. The installation crew Jake, Jessie, Sean, Jeremy & Josh were efficient, prompt and great at explaining anything we asked regarding the installation or working of the system. We had been looking at solar for over 7 years but until we talked to Solarponics just couldn't convince ourselves it was a good fit. Others we interviewed and received quotes from hired subcontractors to do the work and we had heard nothing but nightmare stories regarding installations. Solarponics hires there own staff to do the installation and they are wonderful. So happy we chose to go with Solarponics. Thank you all.

My home PV system was installed by Solarponics and I have PV monitoring capability through Solarponics. They noticed that one panel was not at full power. Deana delSol was very helpful and efficient in getting that bad panel replaced.

I was very pleased with the attention to detail and quality of installation that Justin performed with our pool-solar panels. The team was pleasant, organized, and left the area clean each night as well as when they were finished with the installation.

In 2015, I had Solarponics bid on and install a 5kw system on my home in Santa Maria. As this is the second home I converted to grid tied solar, I had a great deal of experience in the process, prices and equipment we needed to select. Todd, Caleb and Deana took great care of me and made the selection, installation and grid integration process easy.

We researched solar for about 6 months, getting detailed bids from 5 companies, 3 of which gave bids on site. (We joked that exploring solar was our new full time hobby for the year!) A close neighbor had recommended Solarponics twice to us. The Solarponics representative, Lawler, was very patient with us and met with us in person at least 3 times. He was extremely well versed in all aspects of solar and went into great detail with us each time. He also did everything in his power to meet our budget needs. The second important thing that he did for us was to encourage us to research the PG&E rate plans to figure out other ways (in addition to the solar panels) to bring down our electrical usage and costs. We worked hard at updating a few very old appliances, signing up with a different PG&E plan and changing our electrical usage patterns so that the solar installation could cover most of our usage. (We only wish that we had known about the differences in the PG&E rate plans years ago and that changing a few bad energy habits was easy and not painful!) We have an all electric house (except for propane for our stove cook-top) and I am happy to report that our bills have gone from over $260/month before solar to under $5/month with solar so far. After the installation there were a few glitches in the inside controller and Solarponics quickly sent techs out to our house to take care of the parts that needed replacement. We highly recommend this company!

Careful planning and excellent communication done on a timely manner was the hallmark of my experience with Solarponics. I was supplied with complete information prior to my decision to install solar and was kept informed on EVERY step of the process. There were no surprises and my system has worked just as planned. It is a good feeling to know I am running my household using renewable energy.

I new what was going on every step of the way. A great company to work with. The schedule they laid out was spot on. They worked around my schedule and were very receptive to my wants and needs. The installation is top notch and one of the cleanest the inspector has seen. Have been on solar now for over a year with no issues and loving it. I highly recommend the purchase option for the tax purposes and long term savings. If I had it to do all over again it would definitely be Solarponics. Before my decision I received estimates and checked reviews for all companies that service the area from Fresno, SLO and beyond. Solarponics was not the cheapest but very competitive and with better materials than most. Thank you Solarponics.

We have now had our small residential system for almost twelve months. We have had no problems and are looking forward to many years of worry free solar energy. We were happy with the original sales team and how easy the process was in the beginning. Our one complaint was with the scheduling of the actual installation. It seemed to take for ever. We were given several start dates only to be delayed for various reasons. Additionally we had difficulty in communication with the office staff. We played "phone tag" with many staffers in our efforts to get some straight answers for the delays. Finally the install date was established. The group of four installers that arrived early one morning were very professional and completed the work in one day. Two or three were working on the roof and one inside the attic doing electrical connections. Finally there were some delays in getting the system up and running due to city inspections and PG & E approvals.

Solarponics was very informative on all aspects and considerations for installing solar electric systems. They were not "hard-sell" at all. They were more concerned with educating us on the details so that we could make an informed decision rather than selling us a solar system. Once we made a decision, the qualification, permitting, installation and post installation testing and follow up went extremely well. Our sales person, who educated us from the beginning, was very involved, and a continuing resource throughout the installation and post-installation process. There was an equipment problem with the SMA SB8000US inverter that was originally installed. I believe it was a new model for that manufacturer which had just come out at the time of our installation. Solarponics immediately replaced it with the SMA SB7000US inverter. We have been trouble-free since then. It is now approaching 2 years. I would highly recommend Solarponics and Lawson S., who was the sales person I referenced above.

Putting solor on our 2400 sq. ft. home was a "no-brainer" and Solarponics walked me through the whole process. The panels are quality, the installation was quality work and the customer service from a well-known, long time local business was excellent. We got an excellent interest rate on purchasing our system: same cost as our PG&E monthly invoice! No advanced cash needed! yes..... a "no-brainer!" Every home should have solar panels!

I have been pleased with my solar installation by SolarPonics. They helped me determine how many panels I needed with no pressure, did a flawless installation, and they were substantially cheaper than the other companies I talked to at the time I researched solar.

We got solar when we lived in San Diego. During that install, from initial proposal, follow up, work on location, final inspection, system activation and attention to a minor follow up issue; they exceeded all expectations. We were just as fortunate here on the central coast with Solarponics. We did research with a few other companies before a friend recommended Solarponics. One proposal was to lease. When we asked if we had the option to buy, and how much, they provided a price that was $10,000 higher than Solarponics. At that point we were convinced that we were making the right decision to select Solarponics. One of the things we liked about Solarponics is that they have been in business since 1975 and the company is still ran by the family that started it. Another plus is that Solarponics has an in house service department for any follow up issue that may occur in years to come. I had a friend who had an installation by a solar company and they had some issues about two years after they had their install and the company told them they do installs only, no maintenance. So when looking for a solar company we made sure to check if they do service calls if something happens 5 years down the road. Solarponics does! I will not hesitate to recommend Solarponics to our family, friends and colleagues. And oh yes! The system is functioning as promised, delivering pollution free energy and it is a wonderful sensation to see my meter spin backwards! :)

Their work is good, but be careful of thir billing. They will NOT give you an itemized billing for any of their work. I had previously negoteated a bill to parts only, and years later when I had them do more work, they added all of the previous invoice. I paid it, but I will NOT do busines with this company every again.
