I am completely satisfied

If you are still shopping for Solar Panel system to offset your high electric bills, in addition to those nationwide companies you have heard of on radio and TV's, make sure you add SolarMax to your list - and place it among the top. My system has been installed by SolarMax, and I am completely satisfied - especially with the customer service provided by Garrett Kramer. As per common procedures, I signed the purchase agreement, roof & shade analysis conducted, e-signed the layout approval (11 panels facing West and 11 panels facing East - all connected to SolarEdge string inverter), and the system was installed. After tracking production for a period of time, I was somewhat unsatisfied with the production of the panels on the East roof due to shading in the morning from the mountains in the East (those big mountains by Lake Perris). I voiced my concern to Garrett, explained the situation, and requested for the East panels to be moved to my South roof and West roof. Moving all panels would be too big of a job, and Garrett did not recommend that. After some discussions at SolarMax office in Riverside, we came up to a compromised solution. And that was to, instead of moving all of the East panels, three were to be moved from the East to the South roof. Garrett would throw in an extra panel along with an Enphase's Envoy device, and my part was to provide Enphase micro inverters for those panels (due to some restrictions on SolarEdge inverter, the South panels couldn't be added to SolarEdge inverter without compromising overall production). After a few visits by SolarMax crew, the job was completed successfully, and I am now getting the production that I am satisfied with. More than satisfaction of the production from the panels, I am superbly satisfied with superior customer service provided by SolarMax Technology. I totally understand that Garrett didn't have the obligation to fulfill my request because I was the one who signed the consent/approval for the original layout. Garrett, however, did fulfill my plea - along with many follow-up phone calls to make sure I am completely happy, and that simply showed his excellence in Customer Service. I am pleased with Garrett, his team, and with SolarMax as a whole. I am happy for SolarMax for having Garrett in the team, and the Customer Service part that Garrett and his team excel in - will definitely get a lot of business and referrals coming your way. For all the people that I know who are interested in adding Solar Panel System on their roof, especially those who live in SoCal region, I will make sure they strongly consider SolarMax as their top choice

SolarMax completed my installation several months ago and we are happy with the results. The installation was completed on time,including my panel upgrade. The person who did the panel upgrade also did a good job matching the existing stucco and paint. The system is working as it should, and no longer have an Edison bill. We did our taxes and got the tax credit and applied it to the loan, no issues there either. Pete Herrera was our rep and he was easy to talk to, professional, and did everything he said he would. First of all if you are thinking about getting solar, then you need to think SolarMax Technology because they Rock! It started with our salesman Dan “the Solar Man” Cooley. Dan walked us through the entire process from beginning to end. He explained everything in layman’s terms and made us understand everything so we could made an educated decision on our solar purchase. We had already done extensive research on solar but Dan made us understand how it all comes together and lines up with Southern California Edison for a flawless installation and connection. Both SolarMax and Dan have been great to work with and have been on top of the whole process from the very beginning! We really cannot say enough about Dan. He is not one of those high pressure salesman. He knows the product and the process and lets it sell itself. Great product and Solar instalation

After looking at a series of solar companies I wisely made the decision to go with SolarMax as my vendor as I felt their design and installation planning were much more detailed and thought out than some of the other vendors. My install went fast and painless which included a new 200 amp service panel as even before the solar installation I was woefully undersized for my property and pool equipment needs. The installers we all very friendly knowledgably and professional and at every phase of the planning and installation I was kept up to date with the progress and timelines and as a hands on kind of guy I was able to ask the installation teams questions to ensure my understanding of the systems and processes. From the no pressure sales process with my salesman Chris Handzel to the final call to tell me I received the notification from SCE to go live I have honestly felt like a valued customer and look forward to working with and recommending them going forward. As for the system I purchased I have been ecstatic to watch my power generation quickly eat away at the power I had used earlier in the month and where my SCE bill was $280 last month I anticipate to zero as I am quickly moving toward over generated KWH for the month. I shopped and compared many other solar providers for over one year. When it came down to the last two solar companies, SolarMax earned my business. Andrea is the best no pressure, no gimmick, no hard sales approach; just the pure plain simple truth. I can’t say enough good about the whole experience. Everyone has been very responsive and professional. When it came time for installation the SolarMax crew was right on time and very clear on what was going to take place. As far as stucco repair goes we all know that it is almost impossible to match the existing stucco. Not for these guys. Their stucco crew, again, was top notch, very professional from the start to the end and matched the existing stucco perfectly. I was concerned about the stucco matching, so if you are please be assured they will make it match. I can’t say enough good about this company. They stand behind what they say 100%. SolarMax really made me happy

I would like to say that SolarMax has been very helpful on my solar project at our house from start to finish. They made sure I was aware of what was going on every step of the way so I would not have any surprises. When the system was complete they even walked me through the process to make sure the system was operating correctly. SolarMax really made me happy when we had a leak from a rain storm. I calked in and we had someone out the next day to fix the problem. A couple days later they came back to fix and re-paint the damaged ceiling inside the house. You can't even tell we ever had a problem as the paint matches perfect. I would recommend SolarMax to anyone that is looking in to Solar for there home.

I shopped around quite a bit and asked a lot of questions. To be honest, I did not get a solar system to reduce my carbon footprint. It was simply to save money because I am tired of SCE looking for every excuse to raise my bill. Therefore, quality and price was very important to me. SolarMax's pricing was very competitive. I thought my salesman (Marvin) was the most informative salesman of them all. Their installation staff was professional and the job was very clean. The timeline I was quoted was accurate and the financing was flawless. I am able to track my daily production online. It is nice to see my meter turning backwards. It was a great investment and I highly recommend them.

Highly Recommend SolarMax

The experience with SolarMax has been a very pleasant one. We invited 4 solar companies including Solar City for installation proposals back 2 years ago. We carefully reviewed each proposal, and we decided to go with SolarMax because they gave us the best value and overall experience. The installation process took about 8 months, mostly was due to the design and approvals from city. The installation was completed at the end of April, 2014. As part of the installation, SolarMax replaced all our lights with LED bulbs. This is more than $1000 value that comes with the installation for free. They also installed a monitoring program that we can track production performance. Now it is my new hobby to check how well the production performs on a daily basis. Right after the installation, we can see that our electricity consumption becomes negative. It is an amazing to see that for the very first time. From that point on, my electricity bill goes to zero. SolarMax service is very good too. They have various teams that came to my house for different things. They came in at different phases of the project, including inspection, design, rail installation, panel installation, power Inverter connection, production monitor installation, etc. They are all very professional, and pleasant to deal with. Whenever I have any question, all I have to do is to give them a call. It has been a very pleasant experience with SolarMax. I highly recommend if you are looking at solar energy. This was one of the best things we did to our house.

SolarMax was excellent

The buying experience that I had with SolarMax was excellent in every way. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a Solar system, or “PV” (Photovoltaic) as it is more correctly called, regard SolarMax as the first choice “go-to” company. First the designer got the math exactly right when he recommended a 33 panel 6.5 Kw system for our 2100 square feet home. Even when the a/c is running the meter has a hard time deciding whether to go forward or backward. It seems to depend on whether a refrigerator is running at the time. Of course, when the thermostat turns the a/c off, the meter goes backwards. Some companies offer a lease deal on PV systems, but I would recommend the purchase option through SolarMax. With a lease deal you do not get the Riverside Public Utilities (“RPU”) rebate, nor the Federal Tax credit that practically wiped out our tax liability for 2013, and of course you will have to keep making the lease payments. As part of the Solarmax purchase deal they offer very affordable low APR financing, and the repayments are lower than the electricity bill you used to pay, so you save money from day one. When the payments are done, you literally get free electricity. My wife and I have expensive Spanish tiles on our roof, but not a single one was broken by the installers. In addition to removing all packing materials and odd scraps of wire, they washed down the whole driveway, so afterwards there was nothing to show they had ever been there. Each panel has a built-in inverter (from DC to AC), so you do not have a great big ugly inverter on the side of your house like the older systems do. The system also has a Wi-Fi feature, so if like me you are interested, you can view performance from your computer. I am told this also offers remote trouble-shooting so they know the problem even before they come out. Not that we have had any problems. All in all, very professional, a system that delivers on its promise, and a great company to do business with.

Our Solar install experience

The short of it is Dan Cooley (my point of contact) went the extra mile for me, and SolarMax got the job done& done well, and we love it! In the longer version: There were some obstacles that had to be overcome. The first one was that I was not willing to put up a solar system on my 25+ year old roof. I was expecting to replace it in the next 6 months but as the best laid plans of mice and men so to speak I was not able to get that done after about 8 months. Dan call to touch base and find out where I was on the project and I told him I was not able to get the roof done yet, he suggested SolarMax could roll the roof into the financing (I am purchasing not leasing). I said deal! Next obstacle was: I wanted a large system that would cover all my power usage, SCE inspected my Electrical panel and said #1 your panel does not have a sticker on it with it’s max rating so they must assume it is maxed at 100watts and that is not big enough. #2 therefore your system will require a larger panel be installed BUT #3 a larger panel will require trenching my power feed line up from its main junction and putting it in a conduit because it is not currently! Well that was out cause they are talking 10’s of thousands of dollars for just that! I assumed we were done and I could not have solar power. Dan said he was sure the electrical panel could handle more than that and set out to prove it. He scoured my neighborhood until he found an Electrical panel with the sticker showing it’s rating and was able to prove to SEC that my panel was large enough and did not need replacing. Thanks Dan for going the extra TWO Miles! Next issue was: I was worried about shading because the neighbor next to me is two story house and has a chimney who’s shadow sweeps a large section of my roof through the day. After working with their engineer we came up with #1 micro inverters and #2 a layout that will work! Next little issue was SolarMax does not do roofing directly so it is of course outsourced. Unfortunately the first roofer sent out was not up to par in my estimation. It only took one call to Dan Coolie expressing my concerns which he took back to SolarMax and that roofer was let go and another roofer was sent. That company did a great job was very professional and the roof looks great, but I will leave them un-named here. All this took some time so the system did not go up on quite the schedule that was originally laid out but it was happening. Next little thing was they ran out of the original panel we were scheduled to get so they bumped us up to the next larger panel at no extra charge. But because we were already getting about as large of a system we could get we would likely lose a few panels to stay within the system max. As it turned out they still passed it so we were very pleased with that! Now the install of the system! The installers showed up on time and were a great group, they did not mind my poking around and watching, asking questions and taking pictures of the whole installation! I liked everything I was seeing and very impressed as to the process. This includes one of my biggest concerns which was leakage where they penetrate the roof for the panel mounts. The way they do it, it will NOT leak! By the way one of the key components in the system are the micro inverters and the ones they use are “The Name Brand” in inverters! When we got permission to operate we found that there was a problem with a group of panels but they were out soon enough to get that fixed (it was just some fittings that needed attention) So it’s all up and been running for 6 months now and it is producing as expected! Yes I recommend Dan Cooley and SolarMax Tech.

Roof top Solar 156 SMX 230 Panels with Locus Monitoring. Using both Fronius and Delta inverters. I have met with a few other solar companies, but SolarMax was great and offered a good price on the system. Had the system for only 1 month but so far so good. Monitoring being installed soon, delayed due to my schedule and not being available. Very helpful and informative when questions were asked. Hope to track energy creation soon. Also take advantage of the government tax credit while you can. I will keep you guys updated as I have the panels for a longer period of time.
