I've put this review off for awhile, but wanted some time to allow the system to do it's thing & to allow me to compare electricity bills from previous years until current. I've been pretty good a logging our families electrical usage & bills over the past (3) years; we are a family of (4) living in an approximate 1500 sqft home. We had Solar Energy World install a 10kw system for us & so far have been very impressed. We'd probably rate our overall experience 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason for the 4.5 and not a full 5 star rating would be, not very much support with the Enphase app following installation; BUT the app is very easy to navigate & there are plenty of tutorials online that walk you through most if not all your questions. Solar Energy World was not our first choice, although they were in our top (3) contractors. The deciding factor in making our decision, was 1.they weren't pushy, 2. they were very knowledgeable in the field & answering our questions very quickly (via both text/phone & email.) and 3. They stand behind their recommendations & the products they use. It's a comfort decision & Solar Energy World gave us that comfortable impression throughout the process. Now, onto what everyone wants to know; the savings. Realize, we have updated our home over the past (3) years (new windows, energy efficient appliances & hvac, adding attic insulation and now solar being our newest addition to be more economical & efficient within our home. This 2024/2025 winter here in Florida hasn't been the best with clouds & cold but overall the solar has typically cut our electric bills in half! Now, we expect that to only improve (which it has started) with having more daylight & sunnier days ahead. Solar Energy World still touches base with us every couple of months, just a friendly text message (no spam or additional sales pitches.) They do their job very well & effectively & from what I've gathered, they keep in touch to know you're continually satisfied with the outcome. Our best advice. Quotes, quotes, quotes! And a few more after! But for sure allow Solar Energy World the opportunity to be one of those quotes. In the very end, when you've come to a decision (or a top 3) just give them the opportunity to talk with you and whatever things you're looking to achieve long term. Great company, with great personalities & attitudes from the office to the field work. They did a fantastic job for us & hope others give them the opportunity to do the same if you're considering going solar!

Installation of Solar Panels and setup of monitoring system

My sales representative Carson Landis was professional, proficient, knowledgeable and very patient in working through all the requirements to establish a viable solar energy system. The installation crew, master electrician, and inspector carried out their duties efficiently and effectively. They worked through and around adverse weather conditions. I give them my highest rating!

Easy and efficient company to work with

Working with Solar Energy World was simple, informative and straightforward. Each person I dealt with knew status and what the next step was. Everyone was courteous and listened to and answered my many questions. They worked with me to design an attractive layout. Installers were great people and neat, too. System is working very well, generating more than I thought it would at this time of year (well, except when covered by snow, of course). I'd highly recommend SEW for solar panel installation.

Excellent execution

I found working with Solar Energy Would to be a seamless experience. As an engineer and project manager I have been impressed by their well-structured project management. Their customer engagement side is alert and responsive. Their installation crew was a polite and tightly organized team. I researched the tech they install and it is top of the line. Add in a great price and it's an excellent value.

Exceptional Company

Everyone from salesperson (Jairo), support and administrative staff, to installation crew, to follow-up team, performed in an experienced manner. Their competence and professionalism was readily apparent at every phase of this project. Detailed information was provided in advance for the next stage to prepare for the type of work, inspection, and utility visit throughout the entire process. These professionals are courteous and polite.

Happy with my choice of solar companies

My coworker had a good experience, so I got a quote from Solar Energy World and one competitor. The prices were comparable, so I chose Solar Energy World for 3 reasons: 1) Their sales, engineering, electrician, roofing, and administrative people all work for the company. No outsourcing or subcontracting. 2) It's a local company (for me) that has been around for decades and is growing. 3) My coworker had a good experience just a few months ago. They do all the paperwork - and there is a lot of it: permits, applications, and scheduling with the utility company and the county. All I had to do was read a form, sign it, and return it to them. Every person I talked with on the phone or in person was professional, knowledgeable, and cheerful. That's amazing!

Focused

The overall process is refined, and you can tell they have learned from experience. The sale of the Solar system in my case was captured based on the Fairfax County "Solar Switch" program. The program provided one more layer of scrutiny. The estimates on timelines proved true and the installers executed the panel layout and electrical routing as desired. They did miss the estimate of a one day install, however based on circumstances it was safer to execute over a two-day period.

Excellent Service

We first engaged with Solar Energy World over two years ago while we were beginning to consider Solar. We spoke with Paul who informed us about the process with Patience and expertise. It took us a while before we finally made the decision to move forward with Solar, including a few pauses on our end While we got comfortable with the overall process and costs. In each instance, Paul was patient and accommodating. Not overly pushy, giving us the space in time to make the right choice for us. When we finally decided to move forward at the end of 2024, Paul was quick to execute on our paperwork and moved through The actual installation process extremely efficiently, helping us to complete the project before the end of the year, so we could receive the tax credit as soon as possible. I was extremely impressed with the speed and professionalism of the entire Solar World team. They handled all of the details, all of the paperwork, all of the processing efficiently, effectively and quickly. Throughout the process we considered going with some of the more budget, friendly companies to execute this process, though after wadding through many of the details and fine print, we found that solar world really was only marginally more expensive. Without a doubt we felt like we got what we paid for, and the efficient effective and streamline processing and installation was far different than many of our friends have experienced with other installers. I couldn’t recommend solar world energy more.

The salesman didn't do a hard sell. He explained everything clearly & answered all of our questions. The installers were clean, neat & always on time.

Speedy Installation

From my initial phone call with the Solar Representative Jacques Frink and his on-site presentation to the Instation Team, it was overall a smooth and quick process. This office location (Laurel) are very responsive, and informative.

Happy with my experience!

I was connected to SEW through the Solar Switch Program in MD. I loved working with our sales rep Dave! He was patient and guided me through the options. The installation went smoothly, the technicians were all very professional and competent.

Project Sale, Installation & Follow Up

Our system has been on line since last April(2024). From the initial meeting with the Sales Engineer (Carson Landis) I have been quite pleased. After listening to his presentation, I offered some input on the placement of some panels on a separate building with a slightly different exposure. After the site/structure assessment, they were more than willing to put those additional panels on that building. That meant installing additional disconnects and underground cable but the overall cost was minimal. One of their competitors would not even consider that suggestion. After project approval(internal & municipality) the job started as per the target date and remained on track. As I was on site during the installation, I conveyed some concerns and they were addressed immediately and professionally. After the job was completed, the local code inspector came for inspection and asked that the service cable from the meter to our panel be replaced due to its age and condition of insulation. This had to be done before the system could go on line. Solar Energy World replaced that in a timely fashion at no additional cost to me.

Solar Energy world is the most honorable company I've ever delt with. No matter when you have a question, and no matter how silly you might think the question is, your call is responded to quickly and respectfully. Even with all of our cloudy days we are saving money with lower power bills. Their website allows for easy navigation even if technology is not something you are familiar with.

I want to leave a review regarding purchasing solar panels for Morgan Webster, our salesperson. He went above and beyond to assist, even as far as solving issues with the installation company he was not a part of. My father passed, and he ensured we had additional time to get our finances in order before we could submit the second payment to fulfill our obligation. He was the best and most helpful salesperson ever, and I can't recommend him enough.

We Had a great experience with everyone. All the staffs were very nice and answered all our questions.

I have tried a few times to get into Solar and had trouble with other companies in the past. When I started working with Solar Energy World I didn’t get my hopes up in the beginning, but the entire process was so smooth. Everyone was so knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything every step of the way. The whole process from initial interest to having the panels installed was also faster than expected. They have also kept contact after the panels have been turned on to make sure everything is okay. I’m happy that I completed this process with this company and anyone looking to have solar panels on their home needs to choose Solar Energy!

Good experience

They've been good to work with, and kept the installation and permitting process on time. A few panels had performance issues, but they resolved them in a timely way. They were confused about dominion powers rules to make the final permanent connection-for a month or so i was waiting for dominion to do it, but eventually an electrician from SEW did it. Despite this I got online as scheduled. I'd recommend them for sure.

Longi Solar Panels and Tesla Powerwall 3 Installation

I recently had an 11.7 kW solar panel system installed, featuring Longi Panels paired with a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery, and the entire experience was outstanding despite several significant challenges. The installation process was complicated by unexpected harsh weather conditions, including rain, snow, and freezing temperatures, as well as some structural complexities. One particularly tricky aspect involved feeding wiring cables through an existing conduit under the garage, from the exterior wall to the circuit box in the basement. This required precision and expertise, and Vince and Pedro executed it flawlessly. Scott, the Field Energy Advisor, played a vital role in ensuring the project progressed smoothly. He kept me informed at every stage and coordinated scheduling efficiently, ensuring clear communication with the installers. His proactive approach made the process much less stressful. The roof work was nothing short of impressive. The installers worked fearlessly on a steep roof over 30 feet off the ground, expertly placing all panels exactly as planned. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and they made the correct call on panel direction, ensuring an optimal balance between grid energy and battery storage. Despite the challenges, SolarEnergy delivered a flawless system that is already exceeding my expectations. The Longi Panels and Tesla Powerwall 3 are a fantastic combination, and I’m confident they will provide long-term energy savings and sustainability. I wholeheartedly recommend SolarEnergy for anyone considering a solar installation. Their expertise, communication, and commitment to quality set them apart.
