We did our homework and signed with SEW with confidence, and there hasn't been a regret. From start to finish the ONLY hiccup we had was the delay in our "snow breaks" as we will call them, installed. Our snow breaks were discussed at our meeting with our sales rep, but for some reason, they were not installed & we had to have SEW back a few weeks later to take care of it. Other than impatiently waiting to have our system "turned on" by the power company, we've enjoyed knowing that we are being as "green" as we can ever since! Their installation was swift and clean (a HUGE plus for this type-A homeowner). But more importantly, it was that EACH and every person we dealt with from our agent to the installers were as professional as could be & THAT is refreshing! When you look at systems on other homes, I see square footage unencumbered by trees that is NOT maximized. This company structured a layout that gives us all maximum benefit of solar energy!

Trustworthy company

I spoke to several companies about solar panels and felt the SEW gave me the best prices with the most options and the best guarantee. The company was great about following up and keeping us in the loop of what was happening. The only issue that arose, involved poor communication between our roofing company and the solar company, which later lead to warranty issues with our new roof. However, SEW followed up immediately and the owners called me to offer a fix at no charge. So despite anything that went wrong, their customer service was excellent.

Professional installation

All installers were very professional and spent extra time making sure the system components molded to the outside of my house, additionally, they ensured everything worked well by testing frequently as they were installing. They gave me many options on how I wanted the installation to be completed, this included where to run the conduits connecting the various parts, the placement of the inverter (which could have been inside the basement or on any side of my house), the placement of the panels, etc... They were the only ones to include some simple repairs to parts of my electrical system, and install 5 extra independent outlets throughout the house. The only issue was their timeliness. They took close to 5 months, from signing, to complete the install. They took another two months to deliver the final paperwork, including a warranty. I highly recommend them, just negotiate the timeline and ensure an installation date is on the contract.

Very Happy Customer, Love my Solar system!

I'm glad to have found a local company providing excellent engineering, installation, and customer service. Working with Eric from Solar Energy World has been a pleasure, being able to make contact with the company including the CEO gave me comfort that I was going to get the special treatment I needed! I strongly recommend this firm (and I have tried to deal with the national ones previously).

A very responsible and responsive company

Among the three or four five-star solar companies that I approached for panel-installation cost estimates, Solar Energy World (SEW) quickly impressed me as the company to go to. Here are the reasons: After looking at the roofs, the representative of the company, Sean, recommended that we put the panels on the south-facing roof. That was a pleasant surprise to me because all other companies had proposed to put the panels on the larger, west-facing roof. Obviously, the south-facing roof will receive more sun light on average, everything else being equal, and in our case, there would also be no need to relocate some of the roof vents. Sean next proposed to use the more efficient 310-watt panels; this would reduce the number of panels compared to the more commonly used 285 watt panels for roughly the same total solar power output. And even more important, SEW offered the most attractive price and payment schedule and excellent work and product warranties. Sean also patiently addressed many of my questions and concerns prior to the panel installation. The people who came to inspect and measure the roof were all very helpful in explaining what they were doing and for what purposes. The panel placement design was logical and aesthetic. The folks who did the installation were all very courteous and professional. The wiring was all clean and neat and well hidden. About a month after the installation, I noticed a hole (less than 1 in) on my ceiling. I contacted SEW. Two days later, the hole was patched and painted (I provided the paint). I can’t even tell where the hole was now. The company also handled all the permit applications expeditiously. I am now enjoying solar electricity to help reducing CO2 emissions. Frankly, I can’t be more pleased by going with Solar Energy World, and will have no hesitation in recommending the company to other interested consumers.

Great Company

This company is great and puts the customers first. They were willing to work with me in any way necesary and it was nice to make face to face contact with a person who is local to the DMV and not just a person on a phone. This company wanted my business and ensured that I received the best deal possible. Installation was done without issue and right now I am electric bill free. Something every home owner should have on the roof!!

I'm in my 4th month of enjoying my new solar system. I'm thrilled to get away from relying on coal and nuclear power that kill our environment and cause global warming. Best part is I'm saving a ton of money at the same time!! Didn't cost me a single penny out of my pocket to get the system installed. Bryan Hacker my Solar Analyst took care of me the whole way through, all I had to do is sign a couple of forms and he did all the work for me. Seamless, excellent great home improvement. My hat comes off to Solar Energy World and all the people who put my system together!!!

Throughout the entire process Solar Energy World was prompt, courteous and professional and a pleasant surprise compared to other companies I had dealings with. The project went very smooth and quick. I have already recommended Solar Energy World to several friends and family who are in the process of going solar with them as well. Solar Energy World installed my system October 08, 2016. I have been extremely happy in how professional they have been. The process from beginning to end was laid out and followed, always putting us first. I researched this company thoroughly before calling and setting up an appointment with Solar Analyst Bryan. He explained every detail in respect to our options, system size, contract price, Federal, MD State and county tax credits. Boy am I glad we went solar with SEW and Thank you so much. Here it is February and our 6.82 kWp has produced Lifetime Energy: 1.35MWh and Lifetime Revenue of $158.04 to date. This is way better than one of their competitors SC quoted me. Everything was explained clearly and they all were so supportive. Whenever we had a concern or question and we called, there was a quick response and resolution. Excellent Service and Follow-Up

Solar Energy World provided excellent installation services with actual electricians that were expert at what they did. The County inspector was very impressed with the quality of their work and even asked me how I found them. Additionally, Solar Energy World monitors the production of the panels once they are on to ensure that you are getting the maximum potential from them. If the panel production is low they will contact you and follow up with inspection/repair if necessary. The panel production promised is guaranteed by them as well. I take Solar Energy World over Solar City any day!

Very professional installation and service

Right from the initial engagement to the time the system was turned on and became operational, Solar Energy World provided excellent customer service. A few minor glitches that led to electrical installation not getting approved during first inspection were fixed with minimal delay and the rest of the process went through successfully. Solar Energy World did an amazing Job of designing, getting approvals, and installing a large Ground Mount system for us. We checked several other solar energy providers and none proposed as large a solar array and none offered as good a power purchase agreement price as Solar Energy World. If you are evaluating installation of a solar array don't commit to any other provider until you have had Solar Energy World provide you a proposal. Besides giving us the best price and largest solar array than the competition Solar Energy World was extremely competent, professional, and communicated with the customer during the entire design, approval and installation process. They are an outstanding company that I can not say enough for how satisfied we are that we contracted with Solar Energy World.

Happy with product and people

Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable and did their best to provide us with a product that is performing exceptionally well. Our system is ground-mounted, and well placed in an area of our property where it receives the maximum amount of sunlight possible without intruding on the aesthetics of the property. Our daily production is excellent. Weather conditions prevented the installation as quickly as hoped, but the schedule moved as quickly as possible despite the many regulatory requirements and permits. Solar Energy World moved things along like a well oiled machine, grinding through the paperwork, coordinating numerous installation personnel, and outside contractors - all this despite our remote location and the distances each crew traveled to reach our property. Our solar array is a sight to behold - the frame is solid, the panels beautiful, the electrical conduits installed as requested, the meters and inverters firmly affixed in a convenient location for us and our utility meter readers. The remote monitoring is an excellent feature as well which can be accessed by us and Solar Energy World to ensure the system is working as it should. I would highly recommend Solar Energy World to anyone interested in saving the environment and enjoying all the benefits of solar energy production - Solar Energy World is a class act.

Competent, Efficient, Best Customer Cost Effictiveness

Solar Energy World is the only installer who would provide a ground mount solar array which was large enough to maximize the Solar generation needed for our large electric usage. Eric Winkler did a great job of explaining the process and the options available to us. We shopped several solar power providers and Eric representing Solar Energy World offered us the largest Solar Array (Ground Mount) and the best life cycle cost to the customer. Matt and the Solar Energy World installation team along with their subcontractors were very efficient, knowledgeable, competent, courteous and kept us informed and coordinated with the installation process. While the contract is with Sun Run I would suggest any one check with Solar Energy World directly and not initially through Sun Run. I highly recommend Solar Energy World to anyone contemplating the installation of a Solar Array and a power purchase agreement for onsite Solar power generation.

Solar install - great job start to finish

They handled everything well. From the initial contact, to the sales pitch, to working out my installation to meet my expectations, to the install. We even had a hiccup, as I had installed a new standing seam metal roof and the clamps that would hold the rails and panels weren't quite the right size. But they resolved that and got my install done on the same day.

From the initial sales presentation to the final inspection, Solar Energy World personnel were very professional. They answered all of my questions throughout the process and handled all documentation from HOA approval to the state/county incentive application. I am a very satisfied customer.

Let the Sun Shine

It has been a wonderful experience, we enjoy watching the "meter run backwards". We designed our home to be passive solar thirty-six years ago, the solar gain from that in the winter time is great, the panels are icing on the cake.

Proud of our Solar

For several years I have been thinking and looking into solar and in the fall of 2015 I contracted with Solar Energy World for two systems. I have a 141 acre farm in Western Howard County MD and I decided to put one system on a horse barn to feed into my home and cover the multiple barns and then I needed a larger second system to go on the roof of my landscape / construction building to take care of our offices, shop, and warehouse. After price shopping and hearing out 4 different business I selected Solar Energy World and I was very happy with the entire process. The salesman Brent Cotton knows his stuff and was easy to work with, the filed manager Danny Polk came out and walk the farm with me talking about different ways he could do the install and then went back to work with the County Inspectors to get special permission on a vibratory trenching method in which to install the 600' of conduit in my horse pasture (saved us from having an injured horse). There crew was nice and kept the site clean, did what they said they were going to do and no extra charges were incured. In my world you can't ask for more than that. Thank you to the whole Solar Energy Team, great job!

Fantastic experience

Every person we interacted with from this company has been courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable, and that includes the salesman, the receptionist, the system designer, the installers, the CEO (yes, the CEO personally called to confirm the appt and even showed up after the install to meet us, see how everything went, and pick up our check), the service tech, everyone. Fantastic experience with everyone in the whole company. Can't say enough good things about them.
