Solar Energy World provided knowledge-based guidance in helping us to select the optimum solar solution for our home. Followed by perfect execution of our project all our expectations were met or exceeded.

Straightforward & Successful

We have an atypical house & roof (EPDM with a slight slope, no attic) and were quite concerned about puncturing it, but ultimately felt at ease after walking through the process with SEW. The warranty also gave us peace of mind in terms of being covered in case of any potential leaks in the future. We haven't actually been able to turn the panels on, but we don't expect any issues once Dominion installs our new meter and we can finally start using them. Would definitely recommend SEW based on our experience so far.

The install team was great, they explained everything to me prior to starting. The job site was kept clean and when they were done, I was left with a great looking installation! My system is up and running strong! My BG&E bills are gone! I am selling my SRECs and making money. I could not be happier with my decision to go with Jamie and Solar Energy World!

Great operating system

The final installed system is working as advertised by the salesman. The installation was explained to me completely. The system is providing the necessary KWH to supply our house and barns with surplus to sell back to the power company. The installation was done professionally and efficiently.

Solar Energy World's representative, Paul Skorochod was incredibly informative and attentive to all my concerns and questions. He is very knowledgeable about both the financial (selling SRECS, etc.) and the technical aspects of the process. The office staff was also very organized, pleasant, and flexible. The team which came to install the panels on my roof were friendly, did their work thoroughly, finished one day earlier than originally planned, and cleaned up after themselves. The Best in the state. Locally owned and operated while Nationally Ranked. They take care of everything. They have their own installers and they use solar on their own business. Not just slick sales Guys! My rep Paul W was awesome he listened and really cared. He also has solar on his house he couldn't have been nicer!

Clean and Efficient as Solar should be

The entire process, from start to finish, was one of the best experiences I've had since purchasing our home. Our consultant Austin was able to handle all of our needs and made sure we were well-informed from the start. We were given plenty of notice on what the layout of the panels would look like on our roof and offered the option to alter the design if we didn't want as many panels as was planned. If we had any questions about anything, Austin made it clear he would answer any and all questions we had so that we felt comfortable with everything going on. When the time came for installation, we were told 2 days and the installers were so good I'd say it was only a day and a half. Our installers Justin and Hasan introduced themselves as soon as they arrived and made it clear that the electrician would be the only one entering the house to run the cabling from the attic to our electrical panel. During the time of COVID-19 this was a very important and thoughtful work restriction that made the experience even better. The work they did on the roof took no time at all, before I knew it they were done setting up the casings for the panels and installing them . The electricians Louis and Touch knew exactly what they were doing and made sure they did a thorough job so that there was no worry on my end. After they were done, I was walked through how the circuit works and given clear instructions on how to operate the panels. Both the installers and electricians made sure to clean up any mess they made during the installation as well. Everything was handled seamlessly by this team so that the most I had to do was sign the contract. With how well everything went, there's no question we'll be using Solar Energy World again if my wife and I ever move to another house.

Professional people and professional workmanship

After several years of considering a solar energy system, I decided in 2018 to buy or lease a solar energy system. I narrowed the potential contractor to three firms. As a result of phone interviews and in-person sales pitches, I decided on Solar Energy World after talking with EW, one of the sales managers, who was very helpful in explaining the differences between a lease and a purchase. It also helped that he had a solar system installed by his company (SEW) and showed me his production logs. He also allowed me to meet a local customer who had a system installed by SEW. The installation, financing, and permitting processes went smoothly, except for a minor hiccup with the final inspection that delayed commissioning a week. It was not SEW's fault. Anyway, I can report that after about 20 month's of operating the system, I am very happy with the reduction in my electric bill of about 66% from PEPCO Maryland, as well the SREC payments that I receive from the broker, which SEW also helped arrange. Solar Energy World took care of everything, and I have had no problems at all with the system's performance. I think 20 months is a fair evaluation period of the system, and I am satisfied with the system. If anything, I wish I had installed a few more panels to make it a 9.9kW system, rather than the 9kW one I have. But it is a small regret. My advice to potential customers: purchase, rather than lease, if possible, and maximize the system size. EW's recommended configuration was a good one, but he allowed me to choose the final configuration. I did not ever feel I was being pressured to do anything I did not want to do.
