Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

I want to relay that my wife and I had a wonderful experience working with Solar Energy World to get our system installed and online. Form start to finish, our project lead and sales rep, Pete Barnes provided knowledgeable, responsive, and quality service. It was the right combination of understanding the engineering/technical aspects, the financial/economics, and then just good old fashioned project management-A rare combination. When we had questions, he answered them. When we had doubts or second thoughts, he gently addressed our concerns that gave us peace of mind. All of these things transmitted a sense of care and concern that is the way a company should operate. With regard to the install team, the electricians, the team leads, the panel installers and crew were also top notch. They took care of our house and treated it with they same care they might give to there on home. Really took the time to make sure things looked right in addition to working right. At the end, they explained everything to us and the next steps in the process which was quickly followed up by a call from our project lead Pete Barnes. Appreciate all of your help during the install process. Looking forward to years of savings.

Stress-Free and Informative Process!

I recently went solar on my first home I purchased, and although hesitant at first, I could not have been happier with the outcome. I was constantly supported and kept informed by my sales representative. Anything that was of concern to me or unknown to me was elaborated upon in the greatest detail but in a manner that was easy to follow. I was given directions and "things to expect" practically every step of the way so that I was not hit from any blind spots, and I still get periodic check-ins after several months of my system being installed. I strongly encourage Solar Energy World to anyone considering solar energy for their home!

Just Getting Started! So far its been Great!

Seth our sales rep is great. He walked us through the whole process. And yes it is a process. After a few back and forths, we decided on a design. They handled all the permitting. Our original installation date was pushed back due to the weather. Wow, these guys work HARD! Darielle and his teammate like sherpas carried all the installation material including the panels over 2 days to our roof. The electricians Garrette and Will worked inside our HOT attack getting everything connected. They went above and beyond my expectations, with the clean way they ran the electrical conduit, and installed the additional panel boxes both inside and outside, very professional. Now we are finishing up a few odds and ends, then the inspection, then the new net metering by the power company, Then we get to turn it on!!

Smooth Installation and Setup

After initiating the process in May with Seth Tobin, we had an easy experience setting up the financing and planning the install. This was despite one section of roof not existing in the overhead photos available from online map services; we had just built it. In September the installation team came for three days. We are having other construction done at the house, which they were expertly able to work around and use to their advantage in some cases (i.e. there were already holes in the wall near our breaker box). Despite all the activity, there were no issues and the team handled it very professionally. We're still waiting on the power company to do its part, but Solar Energy World has done an outstanding job getting us this far.

Seamless solar panel purchase and installation

Our experience to date with Solar Energy World has been excellent. They have helped arrange for the entire process of putting solar on our roof--purchase, installation, inspection, and financing. They have responded punctually, transparently, and clearly to all our queries and have deftly stewarded the entire process. We are excited to have solar in our house and reduce our carbon footprint!

Great System; Great Experience

I spent about six months researching solar before finding out about the Virginia "LEAP" program (a non-profit org that negotiates the best price), the LEAP price that Solar Energy World provided was much better than what I'd personally found, so my wife and I decided to make the plunge. From the initial call with Seth Tobin, to the engineering team and the install team, everyone was very easy to work with and made it clear they cared about my experience and opinion of their team. Since they coordinate solar systems everyday, they were able to take care of the painful details for me (negotiate with my HOA, work with my power company, file for tax incentives). What continues to impress me is that they still treat me well after they've been paid. I definitely recommend Solar Energy World to any homeowner looking for a residential system.

After we replaced our roof last year we decided to go solar. Thankfully I have a friend in Commercial Solar Sector, he specifically recommended Solar Energy World. After talking to Ari Fischel with SEW I understood why. From start to finish the process was a piece of cake. All the forms and paperwork was done by his team. I only had to ensure my cars were not in the driveway the day of the install. I've recommended them to several neighbors and so far 4 additional homes have began the process of having solar install.

Well priced, Excellent Staff, Clean install!

It was a pleasure to work with the staff from Solar Energy World. Whether it was working with the initial engineer on sizing the system to my needs, ensuring I did not oversize the system, to the actual installation, and support after the installation was completed. Whenever I had any questions, all the staff I interacted with was eager to help me, and answer any questions that I had. The price I was quoted is exactly what I ended up paying. It was all around a nice experience. They even completed the install while I was out of country, to ensure it was completed upon my return.

Fast & Friendly Service

The company was transparent with install times, and all workers and employees were beyond kind and courteous. Tom walked me thoroughly through each element of the pricing and install before I made a decision, and wasn't pushy at all. Installation was a breeze! A bush was obstructing the electrical panel that needed work, and instead of just ripping out the bush, the workers trimmed it back so there was the chance it would grow back - and lo and behold it has! Their care and attention to detail is unmatched.

We enjoyed working with Solar Energy World! We were a little rushed in the beginning of the process but that was because we were trying to get in before the Building Code changes in Virginia that would have limited our panel install. Despite the rush, I was able to get multiple quotes and SEW came out cheapest (likely thanks to working with them through Fairfax County’s Solarize program). Our sales rep was Ari and we appreciated that he was attentive, available, and knowledgeable. He was always a text away when we needed (our many) questions answered. The install process went smoothly (took 3 days) and we appreciated the crew’s willingness to wear masks while inside the house since we had a pregnant woman and unvaccinated 3 year old in the house at the time. The crew was very professional and hard working. In addition, when they called to schedule our inspection, I mentioned that I saw a couple labels from the panels stuck in the squirrel cages and they came out the next day to fix it. We were very happy to turn on the system in mid-August. The entire process took from April 30th (signed contract) to August 10th (permission to operate) with most of the delays on the part of permits, approval from the power company, and inspections. So far the panels have been doing great and we’ve enjoyed producing more power than we consume!

Amazing company, staff and great service

A friend referred me to Solarworld, but the Sales representative, Nick Briggs, made me feel very comfortable from the first meeting. He has been very patient and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He has provided all the updates during the waiting period. The crew who came to install the solar panels was very professional and knowledgeable. They installed the panels in a day and cleaned up well post that.

Respectful, friendly, and professional team

Overall our experience has been great, from the first call my wife and I had with Seth Tobin to the home survey, and installation process. Seth has been very quick to respond to any questions we've had along the way, sometimes even having to repeat himself :). We would happily recommend Solar Energy World to any friends or family that might be looking at going solar.

The sales process was excellent. Liam Ross answered all of our questions and spent a lot of time with us to be sure, that we understand everything. Installation was also so perfect, on scheduled time and they spend some time to find the best solution for the way, how bring cable from electrical panel from one side of our house to solar panels on another side of house. Finally, on day of township inspection there was again person from solar company, who answered all questions and comments, and he spent time with all three inspectors.

Professional installation, no surprises, great follow-up service

First, special thanks to salesman Seth Tobin, coming out to my house to make sure all the reporting devices were up and running after they failed. I could never have done any of that myself but he stuck with me and came out TWICE to solve the problem. The entire process takes longer than one might expect because of the multiple permits and inspections but Solar Energy World took care of everything and I didn't have to do anything but wait for the installation. The install crew was also great.

Amazing Job!

Everything from design to installation was easy, efficient, and well done. We got a panel design based on maximum efficiency, the panel installers and electricians were amazing. These guys really know what they are doing. They installed 37 panels on 4 different sections of roof. They cleaned up perfectly and were extremely thoughtful and polite.

Easy and affordable Solar Install

We recently had 16 solar panels installed on our roof. From my first meeting with my sales rep, through planning and engineering, to the day of the install everything has been easy and seamless!

One of the best decisions we have ever made

Solar always seemed like a far-fetched reality for us. That was until we met with our analyst, Ari. He was informative, amicable, and patient with all of the information that came with making this decision. Needless to say he made a complicated subject digestible. Everyone in the company has been nothing but friendly and helpful with my many questions that came up over the course of the project. Solar Energy World was timely, efficient, and their experience in the industry is really displayed. We did not have to lift a finger with any paperwork or county/Pepco permits, they handled it all. The install crew was phenomenal, even going out of their scope of work to fix our door for us, just because! They explained everything they were doing in detail and the installation looks fantastic. We have since had two months where we did not owe Pepco any money, and we have to admit, it feels really good. We could not possibly recommend this company any higher than 5 stars, we'd leave 6 if possible! The choice to go solar was financially and environmentally savvy, and Solar Energy World made it all come together beautifully.

Overall, a great experience!

Buying the system proved to be a lot easier on our nerves than we thought it would be. Making the decision to go solar definitely pushed our comfort level to start out with, but once we got matched up with Solar Energy World through our state's Solarize Virginia program, things went pretty smoothly. Solar Energy World handles all the government paperwork, and that's a definite plus. As with any significant home project, applying for all the various permits can get complicated and it's much easier and quicker to let the pros take care of it. We felt the install went very well. Solar Energy World has a very professional install team and we were comfortable with giving them access to where they needed to be. Visually, the work looks good and they did a good job making external conduit as unobtrusive as possible. They also did a great cleanup job! We're still waiting for county inspection and for the power company to install our new electric meter before we can activate the panels. The inspection is scheduled for next week which is only three weeks after install, so no complaints there. The install team really seemed to have its act together, so we're not expecting any problems with the inspection. A neighbor got their solar system through Solar Energy World well over a year ago and they assured us that Solar Energy World continues to provide them with good post-installation support. I'm sure we can expect the same.

very responsive and helpful

Chose this company after reaching out to 3 others companies. they were quick to respond and patiently answered all my questions. ( I have to say...I haven't yet met Austin in person..only via zoom!) Clear and and transparent about the estimates on production, had competitive pricing. We had an issue with the design where critter guard had to be put on the inner perimeter of the panels. They quickly came over to fit that with out any extra cost. They also were monitoring the production over the initial few months (don't know if they still do) and detected an error on the part of some connection..came over by themselves and fixed it. Have literally walked me thru many form fillings and questions. Appreciate their service. I literally waited a year to write a review. Hope our decision to get solar panels with them turns out well now and for the future.
