Great Experience

I did a ton of research on solar reviews when looking to install solar and spoke with several installers to make sure I could land on a firm that would do a great job. I can't stress how important it is to get a good reputable vendor when installing solar (search for "Pink Energy" or "Power Home Solar" on google and you'll understand some of the horror stories out there). The Solar Energy World team did a fantastic job from sales to service and the process went smoothly without a hitch.

Solar Energy World did an outstanding job in installing our 37 panel system. The sales process was smooth, the installation quality was top-notch, and the project remained on schedule. My Project Manager, Jeff Nachman kept me up to date throughout the entire process and always quickly responded when we had questions. Jeff made himself available and accommodated our busy schedules outside of normal operating business hours and we certainly appreciated what he did. He went above and beyond of what we normally would expect from a company. Even after our system successfully passed all county inspections and we were given permission to turn the system on, Jeff has kept in contact with us to see how things are going. Overall experience with Jeff and Solar Energy World is nothing less than spectacular.

Attention to detail

Great experience from start to finish working with Zach, who was able to explain how it all works and handle all of the steps to get permits and manage the HOA approval process. The installation took less than a day, the crew wore shoe covers and cleaned up after themselves, and they did a walk-through with me to explain everything once they were done. The icing on the cake, though, was the follow-up. Our roof was hard to access, and the ladder they used bent our gutter. I didn't notice it for a couple of weeks, but when I did, they were on site the following morning and fixed it without any fuss. It was a minor issue, but Zach and the team acted quickly to make it right. I'm happy we made the right choice!

Love our solar. Very pleased

Worked with Jeff from the Maryland office, we lived in Maryland for years before moving to Florida full time. The solar system was installed as promised, they did an great job. They had to come back a couple times to make some minor tweaks, but all in all, it looks great & the app is easy to use.

Solar Power project

SEW rep, Eric Winkler, was outstanding in his product knowledge and management of the project throughout (we purchased solar panels, EV Level-2 charger, and new roof shingles). Always available to answer questions right thru the install dates and beyond. Got best price too (I compared to 3 other quotes). Some slight damage to landscape occurred during the install, but they quickly provided repairs free of charge. Utimetaly, it has been a good win-win experience ....this is how a great company should operate.

Nick put us at ease through the process

We made the decision to get a quote because a neighbor raved about Solar Energy World's work. We made the decision to move forward because of Nick, who was our representative through the process. He put us at ease and kept us in the loop as much as we asked him to. Nick was very honest and even talked us out of a few extra panels that would have been too shaded. Everyone at the company has maintained a high level of customer service, from the scheduler to the installers themselves. They had the project done in two days and left our property like they found it (aside from a new power plant on a roof). The process did take a little longer than I would have guessed, but Nick properly set our expectations through everything. It's only been a couple months of having the system up and running, but it's producing more than anticipated, and I have no doubt that Nick and Solar Energy World will have my back if there are ever any issues in the future. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Prompt, communicative, courteous, honest and high quality

Nowadays you feel lucky to find any business that checks more than one or two of those boxes, well.... Solar Energy World checked them all! I turned my system on about 4 months ago and so far it is doing what I was told it would do. My power bill is now averaging about 60% less from a year ago (actually a little bit better than I expected) making me wish I'd gone solar years ago LOL! Had one small issue with a microinverter misbehaving early on but they got it squared away quickly with no hassle. Their warranty was ultimately the deciding factor in going with them even though they were about $200 higher than another company I spoke with. I figured the cost difference was negligible over the life of the system and well worth it to go with a well-established local company that gained my trust at our first meeting and worked hard to keep it throughout the process. Not much more to say other than two of my neighbors are now getting systems through Solar Energy World based on my experience and recommendation.

Great experience overall!!

I met with Solar Energy World after getting a few quotes from different companies. While they were not the lowest price it was clear from the quality of the presentation and thoroughness of my project consultant that they were a cut above the competition. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and kept me in the loop on the schedule. The installation process was surprisingly fast (only a day and a half) and they did 99% of all the paperwork on my behalf. It was a smooth and seamless operation from start to finish.

Start to Finish A Solid Company!

Why did I decide to go with Solar Energy World (SEW)? Because from the moment I started working with Paul in sales I knew the company was looking out for me. He was just so honest about what we should expect out of the system and the games that others play with the financing that seem to good to be true. Others oversold the number of panels I could fit (at least efficiently) and had financing numbers that were just too good to be true. Unlike like most salesman, Paul continued to communicating, something unheard of once a sale is closed. Every aspect of Solar Energy World has been great. Timelines were a head of schedule. The install team was exceptional, explained every step, courteous and did a great job routing the conduit (something I was worried about). SEW has handled everything as well. Connecting the gateway to the cloud, submitting my MD State incentive, and establishing my SREC broker. All this fast than most folks I know have been turned on. The system is humming away with no problems at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

good costumer service

I commend all the staff of this company. I wish that I could remember all their names so I can list them here in this review. They are respectful and very smiley. They also respect my house by putting on shoe covers, simple gestures that I highly appreciated. Although I was slightly disappointed that there was an issue with the installation that prolonged my wait in using the panels. Nick Briggs was awesome; he made sure that I was up to date with the process, and he answered my questions everytime I send him a text message.

Had a wonderful experience with SEW - particularly with Nick. Everything was explained very clearly and the scheduling of the project was as anticipated.

Top notch experience

Solar Energy World managed every detail of my installation meticulously from beginning to end. Jacques was our Field Energy Advisor: he was available, communicative, and proactive throughout the process. The financing steps were totally painless. The home office's design, permitting, and scheduling teams were very efficient and effective. Everyone from the roof inspector to the installation team (Rodney, Kevin, John, Sedrick, Raph, and Kevin) were on-time, communicative, personable, professional, and extremely competent. The physical installation looks clean and professional and passed county inspection on the first attempt. The time from first contact to system activation was significantly faster than I expected. Anyone looking for residential solar in Virginia should definitely contact Solar Energy World!

Super Excited

Thanks to Tom Shaw for all his help and the Crew of installers. they were quick clean and did a fantastic job of making the huge solar panels look seamless and not an eyesore. i forget that they are even there now all the while thinking of the savings we will achieve now that they are on.

Professional and assisted throughout the process

Great service and installation

I Recently jumped into the world of renewable energy and it was an eye opener. I did my research and it was still difficult to find a company that had longevity and was not a fly by night organization. This company helped me from start to finish including financing and although at times the communication stream seemed lax I was still very impressed with the final outcomes and the stages of the process. I knew going in to be patient as there were multiple steps and processes involved so I was and I am just over joyed with the level of service that I received and the product including the quick and efficient installation and planning.

From our initial meeting with our sales rep.(Seth) to final installation everything was well managed by the Solar Energy team. Information and timeline was detailed and communication was excellent throughout the process. They managed all the interactions with the county for permitting, power company for meter replacement, and prepared the HOA document packet for submission and kept us regularly informed. I will highly recommend Solar Energy to anyone looking to go solar.

Excellent service, amazing sales rep, great product and price

The purchase and install experience from Solar Energy World (SEW) and my sales rep Kevin Morrow were top notch. Information was detailed and communication was excellent throughout the process. SEW managed all the interactions with the county, power company, and HOA and kept me regularly informed. Schedules were kept and design & install crews were very professional. Equipment is great and made in America. Kevin was always available to talk and clarify questions, via email, text, phone, whatever. He was able to educate me on all aspects of solar and the system SEW sells and installs. Kevin could expertly talk about all the rules, regulations, and other financial breaks of owning Solar in VA. He even handled the process superbly well while I was on an extended vacation out of state. SEW was also able to replace my roof and at an amazing price bundled with the solar system. SEW is the type of company that really focuses on customer service and satisfaction and that makes it easy to recommend to anyone who may be considering purchase a solar system in VA, MD, or D.C. This system is brand new so I can't comment on post install quality or support, but given my experience with SEW so far, I don't expect any issues as I get through year one and the rest of the life of the system.

Going Sunny

I had finally made the decision to go solar. So I called SolarEnergyWorld and was given Seth Tobin as my sales representative. When he came out he walked me through everything and took the time to explain whatever I did not understand. When I decided to finally sign on the dotted line it was time to set up the installation. The team that came to my house was very professional and took the time to clean up around and in the house where they were working. They also explained what they needed to do and what was happening as I heard the hammers and drills working. I have been pleased with the process and the constant reaching out after the installation of my panels.

Easiest decision I’ve ever made - that saves me $1000s!!

Tom was so knowledgeable and helpful- before, during, and even after my solar panels were installed. I can’t imagine the process being any easier or feeling more comfortable with my choice to go solar with Solar Energy World. Now I just have to figure out when to spend all of this money I’m saving on! Lol
