Very happy with solar bear and there team. This has been a very seamless process and very professional. I couldn't thank them enough. Thank you solar bear

Thankful

This was a great company to deal with from start to finish. And when I have had a question they were prompt and answered any concerns I had. If you choose to go solar this is the company to go with.

Beware of this company!

I signed a contract with Solar Bear in September 2020. Panels were finally installed in June 2021, but have never been hooked up. They didn’t follow Duke Energy guidelines for what was needed to pass inspection. It has now been over 20 months that I have been making payments on a solar system that is not functional. If you are considering solar, DO NOT USE SOLAR BEAR. They have been paid in full by my finance company over a year ago, and I can’t get them to finish the work. They seem to always have an excuse. They got their money and now ignore their customers. Horrible company.

Great service

The guys did a great job very fast and efficient. Installed 17 panels in 2 hours with clean attic runs. I would highly recommend them for any of your solar needs. They also took the time explain everything on the final exit survey very happy.

Very happy

Excellent experience and looking forward to future benefits.

great fast service

Everything has been great i appreciate everyone at solar bear i would highly recommend.

Outstanding Customer Service

Our experience with our sales representative Chris Barrow and Solar Bear can be summed up in one word-AWESOME. Honest and friendly meeting to discuss the system and costs. The installation was on time and charges didn't start until we were up and running. We can call Chris any time with any question and he gets right on it. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. And if he needs to check on something for you, consider it done- he's very reliable and will get back to you. We are very happy we went with Solar Bear and having Chris Barrow as our go to person is an added BONUS.

Excellent

I chose Solar Bear &Roof Bear after reading the reviews and talking with David and Aaron. I was not disappointed. The service and quality craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. They removed my old solar panels, installed a new metal roof and new solar panels. It looks amazing and my panels are producing as promised. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone considering a roof or solar. Every employee was friendly, knowledgable and professional. Thank you Solar Bear and Roof Bear

U.S. Manufactured Products and No-subcontractors

Solar Bear was outstanding to work with and since they are a roofing company and the installer, I was able to have my panels installed within 3 weeks (most companies take 4-5 months because they use subcontractors and put their installs out for the cheapest bid). With the installers and electricians all being Solar Bear employees, it only took 45 days from the time I signed the agreement until my solar was turned on. There is a reason they are the highest rated and highest reviewed solar company. When making a buying decision I always look at the reviews and go with the best value. Solar Bear is definitely a 5.0 and I would have given them a 6.0 if that was an option.

Terrible experience

Solar Bear Salesman, and Company --- The Salesman was Deceptive throughout his Representation of the Facts that Solar Bear was working with the Government to help make Solar energy affordable. There was an implied reference that the government was going to pay for 26% of the cost. (False) That the utility bill was fixed at $178.00 per month and on repeated questing reassured us, that was all, except for $30.00 per month for the new meter. (False) No other disclosure was forthcoming. When asked about the cost, stated that it was a fixed cost for 25 years that could be passed on when the house sold but that there was no documented, or lean on the house but would add value to the house Sales price. (False) He repeatedly stated that there was no down payment. (False) Still with no further Disclosure. Never did he tell us that a finance company would be involved. It seemed to us that Solar Bear was the owner as they were going to continue to do yearly maintenance and cleaning. We have no Taxable Income and the salesman was told that when he asked. To place the order, a cell Phone was used to sign the order. We were never given any document associated with the order or have any time to read what we were to sign let alone even see it on a Phone. Just sign here and then here. After months had passed, we had to call repeatedly to finally find out how we were deceived, when reading the documents that arrived approximately 30 pages. (Never seen Prior, and we would have never signed) We only thought we signed an order, not a Finance Contract that required the payment of the 26% in 18 months, that we were told the Government would pay. (Undisclosed) We were also told that we would be supplied a phone app. to be able to follow the progress of the solar panels savings. Still have not received the app. and it is now one year. The salesman now states that two people who heard the same thing and signed a document on the Phone, handed over by him, are now misrepresenting what he said. The misrepresentation was his non disclosures of all the facts. The Vice President of Sales was contacted recently who responded with a rude response, and the Owner-President, who has chosen to just ignore the fact that there is no help for the widow’s son or anyone else, said he would be in touch but now just ignores our e-mails and never answers his phone. There is no Honor!

Great staff and very professional

Solar bear was a fantastic company to work with they dis everything they said they where going to do and answered all the questions that we asked. Thank you solar bear and Will for a great edit survey helping me understand everything about my system.

Great company

Solarbear was amazing to work with. They dealt with the HOA without any issues. The spray foam made such a difference. The solar install is such a peace of mind with future billing. The batteries give comfort that we will have power no matter what!! Will set up our final system and made sure I knew every in and out and made sure I was comfortable working the system.

Terrible Experience - Nothing Done - Nearly 6 months in

My name is Charles. I hired Solar Bear to install a new roof and solar panels. There was a lot of red tape from the city of Plantation which caused delays. Once the permitting was finally over, the roofers worked extremely efficiently and completed the work. Shortly after, they removed the old insulation and replaced it with the closed cell (foam) insulation. There were a few more delays (from the city of Plantation again), but the solar was installed immediately after approval was given. I am extremely happy with the work. In the end, Solar Bear was new to the area and overcame many challenges that were thrown at them. They got everything done and made things right as they promised. My solar is new- so I do not have anything to report on it yet
