Poor followup and warranty repair

Shine Solar advertises 24/7/365 )lifetime monitoring. What they don't say is that there is no follow-up to the monitoring. One of my inverters went bad causing me to lose production on 29 solar panels on January 17th. It was not until mid-March I noticed the production loss. Shine Solar had recorded the inverter loss of communication, but DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. After complaining, it took another 10 days for a technician to arrive. He reset the breaker and smoke and fire gushed out of the inverter. He said he had replaced a bunch of these recently because of a bad design. The inverter is under warranty, but he said it may take up to 5 weeks to get another inverter, then maybe another two weeks to schedule the work. I have two inverters, so I asked if he would just replace them both before the second one caught fire and damaged my home. He said they probably wouldn't do that. I called the providing company, Solar Edge and asked their customer service why they just couldn't replace them both. He said that was a good idea, he would ask and let me know....that was 5 days ago. Still waiting. Still waiting for replacement inverter, the installation and worried now my house may burn down... This is not a company I would recommend to anyone.

Shine Solar has kept us updated and answered every question. They've kept every promise and have been friendly and courteous every step of the way.

Extremely pleased

It's hard to believe in this modern era of "Customer Service", that I am pleased with all facets of my experience with Solar Shine. The installation was done sooner expected. The installers were fully professional. The sales and project management team have always been available to keep me up to date and have courteously answered all questions in a timely manner.

Recommendation

I would highly recommend Shine Solar to all my friends and family. They were very professional with the installation of all equipment and the workers explained each step to me and my husband. Great company to work with.

Great service!

Would highly recommend Shine Solar. They have been very professional throughout the entire process, from start to finish. They kept in contact with me to make sure I understood every step. The installation crew was great! Friendly and worked quickly getting everything installed... especially in the weather we had that day! It was almost too easy! Thank you Shine Solar for making this a reality for me!

Very Happy

I really don't mind sayin' as an old school petroleum/natural gas man, I was HIGHLY SKEPTICAL and WRONG! This has been the smartest decision I ever made because this system I just had put in will be paid off! PSO BILLS COME FOREVER! My panels run my house no problem! Fridge, deep freeze, big screen, ceiling fans and my studio all run off the panels solely! Yes it was a sunny day! WOULD YOU BELIIEVE WE PRODUCED AS MUCH IF NOT MORE ON CLOUDY DAYS?! We do! We got the batteries too, so if the skies STAY DARK and the grid is out, I have over 10 hours of FULL HOUSE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely by then, the sun is back up and I'm producing again! BY THE WAY, when the grid power goes out, there's not so much of a flicker when it automatically switches over to batteries and panels! We love this new step into a more INDEPENDENT WORLD! Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful getting us started with our solar system. Mason c , Cody k , Josh p, Ryan m, Aaron , were great at installing the system.

Awesome System and Company

From the moment we decided to go with solar power, Shine was there to guide us through every step and answer any questions that we had. They were able to customize a system that was based on our specific needs. I recommend Shine Solar to anyone needing or wanting to use solar power.

Very positive… the installation crew were awesome… very professional… highly recommended…

Great Product

Thanks to Sine Solar for the great install on my home. The crews were prompt and professional and everything is working as advertised. I can't wait to see my first electric bill!

Nothing but good things to say about the process. Very communicative through all steps of the process. I really like the monitoring app that allows you to see real time production of your solar array. The production from the system is every bit of what the team said it would be.

Solar is the way of our future!

We are so happy that we found Shine Solar. They answered all of our questions with detailed answers. We were included in the planning stage. The installers were professional and very helpful. They explained the procedure, so that we could understand. Best of all was the nice lady that helped us to install the monitoring app. She taught us patiently. We check on the monitoring system often during the day. Bring on the SUNSHINE.

Great experience. System works great à

Best dealing I have every had with a company like Shine Solar

Everyone working for Shine Solar were just wonderful. The crew members worked super hard to get their job done and done right. Teagan who helped with filling out applications, Brandyn who was my manager during the whole time, Nikki who helped me get the app for the panels to see how they were working, etc. Just can't say enough on how I am so pleased with this company. Great work everyone. Everyone was so kind, helpful, so pleasant, making me feel so important. Good team indeed.

very satisfied

the shine solar team worked remarkably well in explaining to my complete satisfaction the money (no hidden costs anywhere) to the inner workings of the der box! i have a large property that requires 32 panels but the price tag was less than expected and the fixed premium is VERY manageable. yo if reading this convinces you, use Paul Rancier as a referral!! PSA: find your power company’s distributed energy resource (der) department—it’s not the regular power/electric company people. shine solar will eventually work with these folks. shout out to tristen k who will always be cool with me!

Stepped up

Had a issue or two, but they were very quick to fix and address my issues. And now I can say I'm happy to be a shine solar customer. Very friendly people to work with.

Shine Solar is Great

My experience with Shine Solar was very good. The sales person, installation team, and consultants were very professional and they explained everything to me. They kept me informed throughout the process. After the installation they even cleaned up. My very first electric bill after going live was a partial bill and it was only $18. I really love the App which shows how much my system produces!
