DON'T BELIEVE SHINE SOLAR scam!!

liars.
They still continue to advertise on radio, "lower your electric bill as low as 15.00 a month." Not only this proved adversely false, but my financial burden doubled. Having to concern myself with a measly 150.00 electrical bill, I average 315 to include their loan. It's only because they have a signed contract makes me hate them soooo much. Damaged my property. Refuse to repair
The team who set up the panels, destroyed the steep slope on my property. Geo textile to keep the dirt in place were ripped away, top layer of stone were scraped away. The erosion prevention features were removed or destroyed. They left my property without cleaning up. The latest communication from them was that they will not repair the damage, pay me to have it repaired or pay a contractor to repair it. The estimates for repairs of contractors are more than $8000. This is just the latest in a series of mess-ups. We reached an agreement to install the system at the end of 2019, in time for the big tax break. After trying to contact them, they finally came and messed up my yard. Not only do I have the damages, but also lost the tax break for 2019. On top of that, I received bills from two different financial institutions for the same job! I definitely DO NOT recommend Shine Solar. All promises, until they get the contract. Then everything falls apart. Find another company to save months of struggle and friction, ending in huge financial losses. I cannot save that much in electricity in a lifetime, to recover my losses.

BEWARE! Stay far away from this company!
I don't normally write reviews, but I am doing so in hopes that no one else goes through what we did... Almost a year ago we decided to do business with Shine Solar. The loan was finalized and panels installed seamlessly... all 70 of them. Because of the sizable job, we were given a great deal on a generator package by our salesman. This is where their service went completely down hill. All of our paperwork was completed for the generator/mini-split package back in the Fall of 2019 and we got the runaround until March of this year when the generator was finally installed. The package we agreed on included two mini split air systems, that were to be installed separately, along with actually hooking the generator up. In April, we randomly got a denial letter in the mail regarding a recent request for a loan. When we confronted Shine Solar about it, 'supposedly' the pre-approval expired, so other financing had to be obtained. The issue is that no one informed us of what was going on. Why a company felt it was okay to use my personal information to begin applying for a loan without notifying me first, is unprofessional. On top of that, the install delay was on Shine Solar, not us. At the time we called, I informed them of an error report we were receiving on the solar meter. It is now June and no mention of fixing it. To say I am dissatisfied with their service is an understatement. My husband has asked them to come and get their equipment, however their reply is that the decision seems "drastic". There is nothing drastic about a request for a homeowner to have a company come and pick up equipment, especially when we are well within our guarantee on one system and the other system doesn't even belong to us, nor operating. The fact they are more focused on illegally obtaining funds vs keeping a sizable account by fixing an issue is a major warning sign. Please proceed with caution when dealing with this company. If you have service with them, watch your credit closely. If you are in the process of working with them, do like we did and keep ALL documentation in case they do this to you. We thought we were doing the right thing by using a company located in AR. We do plan on taking action regarding the misuse of personal information, especially after we requested once again that the equipment be picked up and my husband was hung up on. BBB is next up on the review/complaint list!

Did not get what I paid for! Check yours.
Shine sold me a 14.5 KW system, then installed a 12.4 KW system. They owned up to that mistake before I found it. So the told me they would add panels to make it right. They added 5 panels which required removing my fence. While I was fencing around my $61000.00 folly I observed the second install was no where near as clean as the first, to include muddy foot prints on my panels as well as poor alignment through out. In attempting to get solutions from shine on making it right I got mad and the madder I got the more I looked. Its really simple math (surprised their engineers have trouble with it) size of panel times number of panels equals KW. Example 45 x 310 W = 13,950 W or 13.95 KW, I bought 14.5 KW and received first 12.4 then 13.95 KW. They tell me I am getting 5 more panels, which will put me over what I purchased, but that was two months ago and I am still waiting. If you have Shine Solar, do the math. I suspect I am not an isolated incident.
