Great Company, Great Employees, Great Customer Service

This review for Shine Solar is for a ground mounted solar system with battery backup. The system was designed in late 2021, installed in February 2022, and operating in July 2022. Overall, working with Shine has been a great experience. They were thoroughly on top of everything they controlled and nobody can beat them at “customer communication”. They listened well when we discussed why we wanted Solar and how we wanted to use it. They gave us multiple designs to choose from (we selected one with ground mounted panels) and didn’t even blink when a few days later we modified that design to include additional batteries for backup power. They were ALWAYS available to answer questions during this time. I mean always! They answered their phones, returned calls on the few times I had to leave a message (it turns out they have other customers even though they treated us like we the only one) and when I asked detailed technical questions - they let me talk directly with their engineers and Master Electrician. Shine handled all permits and contacts with my local utility company and power generating company. They installed the system over a several day period in February during the worst weather (40F and rain), did a professional job of installation and left no trash to pick up. Thoroughly satisfied with this portion of the project. Any company is fun to work with when everything goes well but good ones can handle things when they don’t. Shine handled scheduling all the required inspections, unfortunately the inspectors don’t work for them and due to the inspectors backlog and multiple inspections required (both local utility AND Tennessee Valley) it took a while to get all inspections done. However, during this time, Shine was providing weekly updates (I can’t stress enough how good their Customer communication is) and keeping things on track as well as they could. The inspection of my fairly complex system result in several trivial “corrections” before the system could be commissioned. These included things like “placard size” and netting on the underside of the panels. These were corrected and reinspection performed, again ALL handled by Shine. Overall, I think Shine went above and beyond what we expected on this project. Every problem that came up was handled thoroughly, promptly and professionally and we were kept informed throughout the project. The employees were professional, courteous, pleasant and extremely capable.

Great experience from start to finish! Everyone I dealt with was kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable in their field.

We were extremely satisfied with the entire crew that took part in the installation of our Shine Solar solar panels. Thank you to Brandon Champion whose knowledge allowed us to fully understand the benefits of solar energy. Thanks to Elizabeth Lyle who became our Account Manager. We received weekly phone calls to give us updates and answer any questions we may have had. The team of James Dacus and Gunner Allen, put the additional installation in our attic. This was not an easy feat as we have a 2-story home and the attic is located through a bedroom and walk-in closet. They were great in the handling of that big hose. We also couldn't have asked for a better team of Devin Reyes, Juan Enriquez, Antonio Lopez and Larry Reyes who installed our solar panels during our OK heat wave. They even had to deal with the misinformation on the location of our water and sewer lines. This caused a minor incident and delay. This was immediately brought to our attention and the repairs were made to our complete approval. These guys are the BEST! Finally a thank you to Nikki Coffman. She walked us through all the features of the online monitoring app. We have been very intrigued with watching how our panels are producing the energy and our consumption. Thank you Shine Solar!

Great experience

Everyone at Shine was nice and helpful from start to finish.

We have had a great experience with Shine Solar thus far. We had a leak in our newly installed heating and air unit. Shine Air was out the next morning and the service tech worked all day diagnosing and fixing the minor problem. We are looking forward to producing our own energy!

Easy process

I know that going through a company to install a solar power system is far more expensive than just installing it yourself, but honestly this was a painless experience. They took care of basically everything along the way, including setting up all the inspections and getting us in contact with our utility to set up net metering. As far as installations go, this was probably the best experience I've ever had with a company working on our house. The system they installed is easy to monitor as well, which makes the nerd in me happy. Not to mention the wicked capacity rating of our system as well!

Love our system! Took a bit to get installed but it is a process. They are right on top of any problem you my have. Highly recommend..

Great Company

Shine has been great in helping us update our house and gain some energy independence. Solar power, paired with a new HVAC and insulation, has been the answer we needed to help us save and produce energy. Customer service has been great and the entire process has been no hassle whatsoever.

Awesome service all around! Everything went pretty smoothly from start to finish. Everyone I talked to was helpful and ready to tackle any problems that could arise. Great customer service and the app gives you a great way to few your solar panels! And the free generator is a awesome plus!!

When we first started on the journey to get solar for our house I was expecting a teeth pulling experience. Shine solar and their teams and customer support have been hands down incredible! They have gone out of their way to accommodate and help us. Patrick Terry, Dillon Con, Colby Myers and Jase Cortez of the install for the solar panel team were awesome! Billy, Logan, Christian, Zac and Eli were fantastic and did a banger job on the hvac system! Brandyn Thomas was our account manager. I can't say enough about this gentleman! Constantly in contact, answered all our questions and flawless customer service! Zach Marchbank was our initial contact very informative about the whole process and gave us peace of mind going forward with this project! Shine Solar is a top-notch company! From start to finish the process has been timely and professional. They are by far the best solar company in our area. Special thanks to Chase (salesman), TJ (account manager), the install team, and Nikki (final touches).

We had an amazing experience with shine solar & shine air. We recently had panels added to our house first. Our install crew for the panels of Patrick Terry, Dillon Con, Colby Myers, & Jase Cortez were awesome to have install our panels when they went up despite the rain we got that day. The next week we had shine air install some mini splits into our house. After years of not having a working hvac system the shine air crew of Billy, Logan, Christian, Zak, & Eli did an awesome job of knocking it out and giving us some comfort in our home. The first hour they were live we could feel a huge difference. They showed us how the systems work & how to clean them. Our account manager Brandyn Thomas called to check on us every week through the whole process & we have to give credit to Zach marchbank too. He was the one that made us less hesitant to go solar for our house. I love being able to track our panels everyday especially at work. It helps me see where the peaks are and how much we actually produce. I love being able to adjust the temps on our ac units or turn them on and off from my phone even though we have remotes. We have all found our sweet spots for temps and our house is actually comfortable. Overall I feel like this was one of the best experiences and I highly recommend them. I've already had people asking me about it and we've only been live in our house for a couple weeks.

Easy to work with

Our experience thus far has been great! The people we met with were kind and courteous and explained things to where we understood them. The people that were at our home were kind, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Definitely recommend.

Initial Install

Good install and completed on time. A monitor circuit was in wrong and they sent a worker out to fix it without even me calling them. Nice app to monitor the solar production.

This company, Shine Solar, comes highly recommended by me since I had the impression that everyone there cared about my family, my home, our finances, the environment, and everything else. To be honest, the sales representative who helped me over the phone was excellent at answering all of my questions. The manager was always ready to answer any queries that arose over the course of the project. All of the construction workers were neat, well-educated, and always on time. They also seemed to care about their own well-being and the safety of their coworkers. In addition, they were both informed as well as trustworthy. During the second Zoom meeting, everything came together after the previous one. This person answered all of my questions and made it clear to me that partnering with Shine Solar was the best choice for me.
