The Best Experience Ever

I recently purchased a newly built home and I'm dealing with a multitude of service providers. Hands down, the experience I had with my rep, Hayden Nix, and his staff was the best of the best. Hayden went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything I needed to understand in a concise manner and walked me through the entire process which was seamless. I checked with other providers and they did not compare. Renova installs Sunpower panels which are top of the line and every facet of their business (sales, installers, finance, etc) were in line with the quality of the product they represent. I highly recommend Renova and particularly, Hayden Nix. I couldn't be happier. The installation has not yet begun so I can't rate it but I would be highly shocked if it were anything less than a 5-star experience! I'm looking forward to it. Thank you Renova, it's been a pleasure.

Dealing with Renova Energy was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The whole experience exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. We live in a society where customer service is becoming obsolete and it is hard to hold high expectations for any type of business dealings. It all started when I was referred over to Renova by a close friend. I was helped by a kind and respectful gentleman, named Jeff. He came over and presented to me a slew of unbiased material that helped educate me on all things solar. (Rates, time of use, installation schedules...) It was hardly a sales pitch to say the least. I felt like he really cared about educating me and my family on how solar works. I appreciated this type of approach and we immediately signed up for the solar lease program which was no money down with a 50% reduction in my monthly electricity bill. We decided on 34 panels to offset my energy production. We signed all the necessary paperwork to get the ball rolling. Jeff explained to me that it would take about three months for all the permits and their current work flow to get my panels installed. I could not wait. About two months passed and I received email updates throughout the process whenever a permit was submitted or an update to my case was made. Whenever I had a question, I got an immediate response from Jeff or a fantastic customer service agent at Renova. That made me feel wonderful. Again, this is not common in our society. When it came time for the install, I was notified by email and phone that the installers were going to arrive at a specified time and date. Renova pulled and paid all the permits on my behalf and I did not have to do anything other than the initial signing of paperwork for everything that was done. They even registered me for a Sunpower Account that I use to track my solar production. I seriously could not believe the VIP treatment that I received... The three installers that came to do the work were amazing! They were so friendly and courteous. They explained everything that they were going to do. They warned me that there would be a lot of noise the first day. (The solar mount installation) They also explained to me the timeline that they would adhere to. They said it would take four days, and they ended up finishing in three! When they were done, they repaired any cracked roof tiles and painted all the conduits to match my house! Seriously, amazing guys! They worked like a well oiled machine! Can't say enough good things about these guys! At the end of it all, Jeff invited me to the main office in Palm Desert and he went over all the FAQ's and tips on how to reduce my energy usage even further. They even made a gift basket for me! Incredible experience from start to finish. I rarely leave reviews, but I was blown away with the overall professionalism, knowledge, quality products and customer service! I just want to thank the entire Renova Family because it was a seamless process for me. I did not expect it to be that easy and efficient. It was like too good to be true for me. I was always waiting for bad news and it never came! Incredible experience! Kudos to everyone there. Top to bottom!

Excellent from start to finish

Like most consumers, my initial plan was to call a few companies, learn about solar and then, perhaps, install a system. My first call was to Michael Cordero at Renova .... and I was done calling around. Michael was responsive, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. He designed a system tailored to my needs. There were several internal handoffs within Renova as we moved through the project from design to HOA approval to installation. All of those were seamless from my end. We did hit a few minor bumps in the road with my HOA and Alisha Nieto, working with her in-house engineers and Michael helped us navigate those. From start to finish, Renova was great to work with. Highly professional and responsive and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them!!

Lessening our carbon footprint

From start to finish our experience with Renova Energy was seamless. Nelson Lewis is a personable, professional energy consultant who explained everything thoroughly when we were deciding our best options. The office staff kept in touch throughout the paperwork and city permit process including dealing directly with our HOA for approvals needed. The installation crew was professional and on time everyday. The panel installation looks so nice and clean and they even painted the lines to match our stucco and tile roof for an immaculate finish. We are excited to lessen our carbon footprint and begin to see our savings. We would highly recommend Renova Energy.

FROM THE OUTSET, RENOVA WAS TRUE TO THEIR WORD. THEY WERE METICULOUS IN COMING OUT TO MY PROPERTY AND ASSESSING MY NEEDS, TO INSTALLING THE SOLAR PANELS ON TIME AND WITHOUT ANY MESS . AND FINALLY, AFTER THE PROCESS WAS COMPLETE THEY WALKED ME THROUGH THE PAPER WORK AND WHAT TO EXPECT GOING FORWARD. IN SHORT, I WOULD LOOK NO FURTHER THAN RENOVA SOLAR.

The whole process went by so smoothly, Matt McPherson-consultant, is awesome from the beginning until the completion of the installation. The Solar panels were installed in a way that it'll look very pleasing to anyone who sees it from the street view, the conduits were hidden for the most part, you do not see any conduit running by the side of your house, it's tucked in hidden and it looks so well done, those installer crews from the start and the finalizing crews were awesome they clean up their tracks no mess or garbage left out.I highly recommend this company.

A Class Company

When we decided to look into installing Solar, we asked friends that had an installation. Two very close friends highly recommended Renova. We contacted Renova and was introduced to Ken Waski, their Energy Consultant. He came out to the house and explained everything that was involved with a Solar installation. He discussed the upgraded panels, the connection with Southern California Edison, the compensation factor when the energy is sent back to the grid and more importantly, he explained a financing program that would save us money by working with Mosaic. After convincing us that Renova was the best fit for us, another representative came out and handled all the paper work. All we had to do was write a couple of checks to the HOA all part of the program here at the Springs. When the installtion date rolled around, Renova's team showed up and promised they would be finished in four days. Four days later they were done and they did such a brilliant job of installing, that you can hardly notice the panels from either the golf course or the street. A week or so later, Ken Waski came by and explained how the system works and downloaded an app so that we could monitor the system. It is quite evident that Renova is a "Class Company"

Renova Install in Palm Desert

We purchased our new home in Palm Desert in October of 2017, and immediately began thinking about adding a solar system, so we educated ourselves about whether it made economic sense, since it certainly made ecologic sense. After some research we chose Renova as our vendor-of-choice, and worked with Ken Waski as our consultant. Ken asked a lot of questions over the phone and a few days later came to our house to discuss the options. His team had done research using Google Maps to look at our roof and determine how many panels we needed to cover our electric bills. He also brought along an engineer to verify the panel placement, location of electrical connections and other factors that would impact the installation. Using our electric bills and estimates of future rate increases, Renova sized the system so we should have a net zero electric bill every year. At times we'll be selling electricity back to SC Edison, and during the peak periods of the summer we'll be buying - but overall the system is sized to net out to zero (for electrical usage - there's still a small monthly "connection" fee). Ken went through all the details and brought spreadsheets to show how the estimates were calculated. His presentation was clear and understandable. Overall, this has been a very easy decision and working with Renova has been a great experience. The financials work, and the Renova team has been super professional, helping with rebate paperwork, communicating regularly, doing a very professional looking installation, and even cleaning up and painting the walls where some holes were drilled. The best part is that we now have guilt-free air conditioning during the hot season and we are doing something positive for the environment. Ken was also a zero-pressure sales guy - he spent hours educating, and his information matched what I had researched independently. Our system has been up and running for a few weeks now and everything is working great. The Sunpower system controller is connected to the internet and we can see how much power the system is producing at any given time. So far this month we've produced 415kWh, far more than we've used.

Sunsational solar experience

I did a lot of research and talked to many solar companies before deciding who to work with. I wanted to make sure that the company not only had the best products and installers, but that they would be there for me in the future should I have any issues. My experience with Renova was fantastic from my initial consult to the after install follow-ups. I have had the system now for almost a year and it is producing as promised ++ and I feel the system that I was advised on was the perfect size for our home and its electrical needs. There are a few really great solar distributors/installers in the desert, but I ultimately went with Renova for a few reasons that made them stand out from their peers. The first is their competitive lease prices (they were the best deal at the time), and second was the quality solar consultant who was my representative, Michael Cordero. His expertise in the solar industry gave me confidence that I was getting the best product and quality system for my needs. I never felt pressured to work with Renova, and unlike other reps I spoke with, he never spoke badly about competitors. Lastly, the communication with anyone at Renova was excellent. The entire process was very transparent, on time and seamless. The team of installers was also top-notch and very respectful. We love that the panels can not be seen from the street and the work & panel upgrade was done professionally. And the team never left a mess at the end of the day! Renova knows the needs of the desert and I believe they work really hard to maintain a level of service that their clients can stand behind.
