Lumina was excellent from beginning to end. I worked w/Phil who helped with specing out the solar system and pricing. He kept me informed of the Solar Incentive/interest rate changes as it happened. Answered all my questions quickly and was available by email or phone whenever I had questions. Lumina did all the work from reaching out to the power company to scheduling permits with the township. Scheduling was easy. The installers did great work and were respectful of my property and home. They answered all my questions/concerns and did a good job on the installation especially with hiding the power line run from the panels back to the meter. Great work overall -highly recommend!

Lumina is awesome

Tim Cooke was my point of contact through the entire process. He is very responsive to questions. The installation crew did damage my gutter with their ladder (probably should look into different ladder or ladder attachment that does not rest against gutter...when roof was replaced, they had suitable ladders). After I notified Tim of the damage, he had a gutter contractor there the next day to ascertain damage and gutter was replaced a few days later at no cost to me. Now that is what I call great customer service. The only glitch in process, was the day they installed the system, it was generating power as indicated.by the app, even though they said system was off. Since i did not have a "net" meter installed, the power generated by solar array was logged as power BGE supplied( that is how non- net meters operate in case tech installs incorrectly...no matter which way the power is flowing, meter registers as power BGE supplied). When BGE came to install net meter, I told them about this and tech said he would have account investigated, but I have not had a resolution to this yet.

Lumina has been great

Great customer service. I was informed and responded to all the way through. My neighbor chose another provider and did not have as good of an experience. If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose Lumina again.

Lumina Solar is the Best!!

I would like to thank Eli,Travis,Nate and Austin on the amazing job they did on my Lumina Solar install!! They are a great group of guys to work with, and very easy to get along with. They were very sympathetic to the minor changes I asked for and did everything I asked with no problems! They were very efficient and knowledgeable to their trade! Every part of the installation was very professional and neat! I would also like to thank Courtney for guiding me through the whole process! She is top notch, and made it very easy to understand everything that was happening! I believe all the people I dealt with at Lumina Solar went above and beyond, and I am very grateful to have worked with them! Lumina was knowledgeable, professional, caring, courteous and extremely honest. Their interest rates on loans and cost overall was lower than all other companies I spoke with. I worked with Courtney as my consultant and she stuck with me thorough the whole process from site research and planning all the way through the installation and online account set ups. There weren't any high pressure sales techniques used and I found after a family member also called that if your site doesn't work, she will tell you. No hidden strings and the installation crew were also professional and knowledgeable. Choose Lumina and you won't be sorry.

Having reached out to several solar companies, it was almost absurd how much more thorough throughout not only the first call, but the initial site visit, Lumina was than the others. The above and beyond effort extended through the entire process until the job was done and the panels were turned on. All questions, which I had many, were answered timely if not immediately. Even during the county inspections, a Lumina representative was there to talk with the county inspector and not leave that on me to shrug at them. Aces across the board.

Quality and Attentive Service

Solar Lumnia provided quality and attentive service for our 37 panel solar project. Everyone from Courtney, our Design Consultant, to the site inspectors, installers, business office and everyone we interfaced with were very respectful to us and our home. They each told us what they would be doing, asked if we had any questions, and reviewed what had been accomplished each. Communication were top notch and timely. There were no delays on Lumina's part and our solar system was completed ahead of the expected completion date. I would highly recommend Solar Lumina for a solar solution!

good company to work with on solar installation

Was generally pleased with the pricing, service, and responsiveness of the Lumina team, especially the project manager Andrew Cimino. The staff were all respectful and courteous and took time to explain what was going on and what to expect. The project took a bit longer than expected and there were a few hiccups/oversights during startup that eventually got resolved, but overall was pleased with the team. Would definitely recommend them for others to consider!

Superior Service

It was not until I spoke with Courtney Sollenberger with Lumina Solar that I seriously considered going solar. I had been hearing so much misinformation on solar that I did not feel comfortable making the switch. After seeing the presentation by Lumina and having my questions thoroughly answered it did not make sense not to switch. The information was not only thorough, but it was backed by actual data and science. At every step of the way I received detailed information and I felt comfortable having Courtney guide me in the process. I would highly recommend talking to Courtney if you are even slightly considering solar.

A great experience with Lumina Solar

We have our ground-mounted solar array installed and operational, recently. The solar installer was Lumina Solar, Inc. They did outstanding work. We were particularly impressed by the knowledge, skills, accessibility, and professionalism of Lumina's representative, Kurt Bradshaw who worked with us throughout the process. Kurt made the entire process exciting and an enjoyable experience for us. We decided to go with Lumina Solar for installing a ground-mounted solar array on our property after talking to various companies and organizations. We are happy that we made the right decision. Lumina Solar demonstrated high professionalism, skills, and customer-oriented work style. Soon after we started the contract work, we realized that the solar project was a multistage complex process involving site survey, system design, multi-component permitting process, structural and electrical foundation building, solar devices installation, and the final operation approval process from our electrical supplier which interfaces with our solar system. Lumina Solar made the process seamless with high quality work throughout. We particularly want to express our appreciation of Kurt’s work in walking us through the entire process. He was patient, personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the process. He would explain to us, answer our questions, and even take our calls or communicate with us during weekends and on his holiday breaks. Kurt not only made himself available to us 24/7 before the completion of our solar project, but also continues to respond to our questions after the completion of our solar project. His work made an otherwise anxious process an exciting and enjoyable experience for us. We felt that what makes Lumina Solar a particularly great company to work with is their effort in customer care and communication. All members of Lumina’s team have been quick and transparent communicators; whenever we called to ask questions, a live person was available to help. We also should call out another Lumina staff member, Mark Walker, who oversaw the work on many steps of the solar installation process. Like Kurt, Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and always available to answer questions we might have, and was frequently on site during the installation work. Installing a ground-mounted system is a multistep process perhaps a bit more complex than rooftop solar installation. All the Lumina Solar’s staff and contractors worked on the project were excellent through all these steps. In addition, the company is deeply knowledgeable about local, state, and federal regulations as well as about the financial rebates. In fact, Lumina Solar helped us process many of the applications needed to obtain federal, state, and local green-energy credits and rebates that we are qualified to have! We have had a great experience with Lumina Solar and recommend them 100%.

Great customer service

We’ve almost completed the switch to solar process and this company has been great to work with. Any hiccups we’ve had, have been immediately addressed and our PM has been excellent in his responsiveness to our questions and needs. We can’t wait to see what this technology can do to our electric bill as the years go on! Better for the environment and ultimately the wallet. This investment is a win win!

We had a great experience getting a home solar and battery system with Lumina. Our consultant Peter Hayes did a great job walking us through all the options and helping us select the right system. We appreciated that they didn't put any pressure on us and made sure we understood everything. The permitting and install process was smooth and they kept us informed throughout. We went with Lumina Solar as our solar installer primarily because of the pre-sales service that Peter Hayes provided, and the fact that we wanted to go with a more-or-less local installer. While other installers called and spoke on the phone briefly, Peter was more systematic and generous with his time - he had a personalized powerpoint presentation and explained almost everything in great detail. He was great to work with during the contract signing process and was very prompt in replying to e-mails and messages. Lumina scheduled our installation a little ahead of what they initially had told us the wait time might be. The installation happened on Oct 5 and the crew was very professional. The post-installation stuff happened in a timely manner and we got the permission to operate from PPL on Oct 27, 2022 (a little more than 3 months since we first got in touch with Peter). We have been very happy with the choice we made. Thank you Peter and Lumina Solar.

Solar Professionalism & Excellence

In the spring of 2022, our friends mentioned that they decided to install solar panels. Their experience was fantastic, and they were saving money on their electric bill. It was on their recommendation that we chose to research Lumina, and I’m so thrilled that we made that decision! We reached out to Peter Hayes, who is to be a sales representative; however, he was much more than a sales representative. Pete cordially accepted each of my requests to meet and discuss the project, answered all of my questions.. and texts.. and made both my wife and I feel comfortable and confident about installing solar panels on our home. Pete was a partner in the process, and made us feel like family! Pete communicated every step of the process, from financing the project, to installation, permitting, and interconnection. The installation team was thorough, friendly, and professional. In particular, I remember the installation manager having impeccable attention to detail, ensuring that the solar panels were completely parallel to our roof lines. Furthermore, the electrician took pride in molding the electric line to the contour of our home to ensure that it was hidden as much as possible. It was incredibly important for us to make the project aesthetically pleasing, and Lumina was up to the task! My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our purchase and the quality people and installation that we experienced. Half good - Half bad

The sales and contracting process with Lumina was quite good but they did push for a quick decision to beat a pending price and financing rate increase. Could have been legitimate or sales tactic but I elected to proceed regardless. The rest of the sales process was efficient and relatively fast. The issues came with installation. The job was challenging due to roof pitch and a 2 array configuration. The 4 person crew was undersized to get the job done and properly cleaned up in one day with short, late Fall daylight hours. The electrician was competent but seemingly gave little direction to the mechanical technicians. Of that group, 1 seemed to know what he was doing, 1 was able to follow instruction and the 3rd just stood around a lot. The first real problem was the hole that the electrician accidentally punched in an interior wall. He did notify me but did a very half-hearted clean up in the interest of getting back to the install. Accidents happen... The second issue was the volume of debris left after they had supposedly cleaned up at the end of the install. Leaving wire, wire nuts, chunks of u-frame, knock out plugs and self tapping screws in the driveway, back yard and patio for my tires, dogs or mower to run into or over is pure negligence. A huge problem? That depends on how those things are found and the eventual outcome - certainly unwelcome and unexpected for a nearly $50,000 purchase that needs to last 20+ years. Next on the list - the electrician never reported the wall damage, so I had to contact the company to arrange repair. After that, the repair company scheduled the repair for ~6 weeks after the initial damage so I elected to fix it myself to 1) get it done and 2) not face the problem of an unknown contractor creating another problem and or mess. Back to the good side - the permitting, interconnection agreement and SREC setup were all simple and painless. Bottom line - if their A team shows up to do the install - likely a good overall experience. If the crew that did our work shows up... see above.

New Solar System in Dover PA

Lumina Solar installed a system on our house last week. The day after installation the Township inspected it and gave the Goldy Locks seal of approval. One week later the power company gave their approval and out system went active. I can't say enough nice things about the entire Lumina team. From the sales force to the back office staff that do most of the work, and finally the installation team--they showed up on time, did the work and finished on-time with no drama! We have a kick-ass system and I am soooooo glad we asked Lumina to install it. Anybody considering a system should talk to Lumina; you won't be disappointed.

Excellent product and excellent service

As soon as I bought my house a couple of years ago, I started looking into the viability of solar panels. I spoke with a number of companies, and Lumina was by far the most direct and informative in their presentation. I was impressed, and ultimately went with them for my system install. They made the process easy, were extremely transparent, and continued to work with me over the long period of time it took me to finally commit. I am happy with my system now that it is up and running, and I highly recommend Lumina if you are looking into solar for your own home.

An excellent solar company

When we decided to look for a solar company to build and install a solar array on our farm, Lumina was our choice. They were excellent to work with - professional, friendly, experienced, and scheduled everything in a timely manner for our project, from getting all the required county permits to scheduling the final county inspections when the project was complete. They handled everything from start to finish. It was wonderful to work with their staff, and to know their always friendly customer service continues even today when we have questions or need their help. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants a quality solar install.

He was always quick to reply with answers to our questions and if he didn't have the answer right away, he responded to let us know he was looking into it. Outstanding Service

My wife and I had a great experience working with Lumina Solar through the whole project life cycle. We had been wanting to go solar for some time. When we realized it was finally time to replace our roof, we were ready. Starting with the initial presentation by Kurt explaining why solar made sense and the steps involved, the actual project pretty much followed the laid out plan. I was particularly impressed by the software used to evaluate and design the solar arrays. We went with the roofer American Home Contractor who partnered with Lumina. This decision saved us money and also provided us with the option of applying a thermal sheet on our roof to improve our insulation and waterproofing barrier. The $0 down financing with Dividend Finance was a no brainer, especially when you apply for the tax credit to reduce the overall principal. The installation went very well and any hiccups in the approval process (which can be expected) were quickly resolved. Overall - an outstanding experience. We highly recommend Lumina Solar!

Professional and personal

From the beginning, Peter Hayes was informative, helpful, and answered my questions. I liked having the “sales” person as the project manager. My system was installed 3 months ago, made operational by Peco 2 months ago, and I received a communication today from Peter to check on how the system was working. I appreciate the professional, personal approach Lumina utilizes to serve their customers.
