Excellent Company, Great Experience

We recently completed our install with Lumina. I can say that this is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor for a project like this. From start to finish, Lumina was VERY pleasant to work with. Gabriel, our sales rep, was straight forward and informative, but without being pushy. They listened to our needs and tailored the process to accommodate what we were looking for. In the end, I got the distinct impression that they had no interest in jamming anything “down our throats” and were committed to making sure we were satisfied with what was being done. Their pricing was very transparent and straight forward (this was NOT the case with other companies we spoke with), and they clearly explained all the payment options available and the impact on the cost analysis of the project. With the current federal tax credits, this project, for our family, was a no brainer. I highly recommend this company!

Can recommend without hesitation

My system has been up and running for more than 6 weeks now and I couldn’t be happier with my panels and choosing Lumina Solar. From my initial meeting with Courtney, to installation and follow-up I couldn’t be more satisfied. No high pressure sales pitch, instead I appreciated the education and information that helped me decide the best system for me. Courtney answered all of my questions and I didn’t feel like I was just another person she needed to close a sale with (can’t say that was true about other companies I talked to). Scheduling and installation was super smooth. Every single person I interacted with were professional and skilled at their jobs. This is a big investment and I felt comfortable that I was (and continue to be) in good hands with Lumina Solar.

Great Customer Service Experience Throughout the Process

My sale rep, Shane Williams was well versed in solar and walked my wife and I though the entire process of installation to final completion when we turned our system on. He was great at explaining everything we needed to know about our system and more. I received 4x quotes from 4x different solar competitors and I am so glad we selected Lumina Solar. The installation team was very professional and did an excellent installation of our solar system. They answered all my questions promptly and I really learned a few things about the product I received. Lumina Solar provides the best product, customer service, and return on investment for my family’s solar needs.

Great Experience- Truly Professional

I had over 6 companies give bids and had settled on a very large company for my solution... Then, I got a call from Lumina.... I thought, why not give them a shot? I am sure glad I did. Kurt was great to work with. The combination of professionalism, preparation, straightforward explanations and responsiveness to my questions (I had a lot), coupled with their proximity, the quality of the equipment and the fact that they had their own installers (not subs) convinced me that Lumina was the right choice. Solar Project

First, I would like nto start this review with our Jack Wood our solar energy consultant, He was great to work with in the initial process of what we were looking for and why. I can not say enough about the treatment Jack gave and showed us. Very respectful and professional. He explained everything from the beginning to the end. I am sure we will have a lifetime relationship with the solar project. The process was extremely easy as I look back on it. We had the company walk with us through the entire process. We were well informed of time frames of what was suppose to take place at specific times. All questions were addressed. The excitement of making this project happen was my fault. I do admit that I was the one excited. When the installers came they we very proffessional and answered any questions or concerns. This was great!! They treated our property like it was their own. I can say we are above satisfied with the entire Lumina Solar company. If we had it all to do over again, I would definitely choose this company again for sure. We are up and running and the system is doing exactly what was proposed. We are excited that we are a part of clean energy and helping the earth! Thanks Lumina for making this a great and painless project!!

Best Solar Company in Maryland

Lumina Solar's customer service and the way of operation is A+. I am very happy that I choose them as compared to any other companies out there. Their rate was very comparable but they beat the other companies with their customer service they provide, as well as the panels they have. They also offer 30 years of warranty with parts and labor included, which is well worth it. From start (day of signing) to finish (day of Permission to Operate), it took less than 1.5 months and went by super fast during a busy summer season for solar panels. My neighbors also liked them and went with them for their solar system.

Pete Hayes and Lumina solar shine above the rest!

Our experience with Pete Hayes and Lumina solar was radically different from our experience with their competitors. Our meeting with Pete was via zoom. Pete was well-versed in his product and very informative. He did not sit in our home for hours and try to pressure us into signing a 50+ page contract with an 25 year financing option that is predatory. And he beat his competitor’s price by $9000! Lumina has a staff that handles contacting your township and your utility company so that you do not need to even make a phone call for permits, etc.. Their staff was responsive and quickly coordinated the job. The staff provides you with a window of what to expect timewise for your installation. I am pleased to say that our job was done within one day and performed ahead of the schedule given. And Pete was involved all the way, following up each step. When you examine the contract of some competitors, you will learn that the installation of your panels is performed by subcontractors from parts unknown. Not so with Lumina solar! Your installation is performed by Lumina solar employees, who are all trained,certified and well versed on their product and certified before setting foot on your roof . I doubt you will have that experience from a subcontractor who is the lowest bidder for your project from a competitor. Our experience with Lumina solar left us very satisfied!

Exceptional Company

I was a referral to Christopher Richardson, Sales consultant/Project Manager, through a good friend who had Lumina Solar install their solar system. From our initial contact, Christopher impressed me with his knowledge and the history of Lumina Solar. Once the project was underway, Christopher and Stephanie Deitelbaum, Scheduling Coordinator, were in constant contact with me throughout the entire project! On installation day, the team that arrived were polite, professional and informative about each step of the install process. Communication was, and still is, EXCELLENT!

We have been very happy and impressed with everything Pete Hayes and the rest of the Lumina Solar team have done. The communication and customer service have been excellent. Every step was as we discussed, on-time or ahead of schedule. The data shows that our system is running as planned. We are very happy with our decision to "go solar" with Lumina Solar.

Solar installation

The whole Lumins Solar team is excellent. From our first contact with Chris Richardson who explained the whole process very well, to our installation team, who were knowledgeable and very efficient, everything went smoothly. I would absolutely highly recommend this company.

Great work steering us through the process

The Lumina team was great in scoping and implementing our solar installation. The process involved extra work as it included an Historic Preservation review, but all went smoothly. I especially appreciate the followup with help in applying for the state energy rebate, setting up the connection to trade Solar Renewable Energy Credits, and the Internet connection and website that tracks energy production and use overall and in real time as well. Great work!

Philip Jordan and Lumina Solar are Great

From the very beginning until now after our system was installed our experience with Lumina Solar and Philip Jordan has been awesome. In the beginning we looked at a few different Solar companies. My wife and I thought that the presentation that Philip gave was the most informative and the best. Philip was only a call or text away for all the many (and by many I mean alot) of questions that we had and still have. Our system would have been installed about 2 months earlier if not for having to file for a varance for the township. Philip assisted us with all the paperwork and then even offered to help us with addressing about 50 envelopes to send out for the hearing. Once the permits were issued the process went quickly and smoothly. The panels (41 between the house and detached garage) were installed in only 2 days. My wife told me that Cameron and his crew were very professional. Cameron took his time and made sure to explain everything to her. After the install the inspection was only 2 days later and I signed the last form for PPL that Friday. The following Tuesday afternoon our system went active. It's been on for a week now and producing more then we are using so we will have some credit in the winter. Again the whole process with Lumina and Philip was a great experience. Ps. I just asked Philip another question today and as usual he was quick to respond.

The experience With Lumina Solar was great and transparent. Based on talking with many of the other installers I was considering, I felt Lumina Solar was honest and had my best interest during the sales process. Lumina Solar handled everything and the system was installed within a month of signing. All I really had to do was sign the contract, let them in the day they were putting up the panels, and then flip a breaker when I got approval to turn the system on. I've had the system online for about 3 months and so far there have not been any problems. The production estimates have so far been pretty close to the actual energy generation. Overall I've been pleased with the experience and would recommend Lumina Solar.

Premiere Solar Panel Service

Absolutely professional! Very easy to work worth, competitive pricing, great product and installation. Fanus was my contact and he was very communicative and helpful every step of the way and got me a great price. The installation crew was effective, fast, and clean--they were also very friendly and informative to ensure I understood the process and knew how the system worked once it was installed (within just a few hours, despite scorching heat and angry wasps). Shoutout to Eli, Nathan, Will, and Eric for an incredible job done. Would recommend to anyone!

Outstanding service and installation

After interviewing several companies, we weren’t comfortable with the sales or process. I entered our info on a website and the next day, a very professional woman called to set the appt. Our sales rep, Fanus Coetzee, was knowledgeable and answered our numerous questions with patience. The installation was flawless and again, the team was very professional and detailed. After installation, the process continued exactly how we were told. This company is in for the long term. We wanted solar to reduce our carbon footprint and to save money. We are so pleased with the decision to go with Lumina!

We made the right choice with Lumina Solar

When we decided to purchase solar panels for our home, we interviewed many companies, conducted numerous interviews in person and virtual. My wife spent hours reading reviews and recommendations. It was Lumina Solar that "ticked all the boxes" for us. We specifically wanted a company which used its own employees and not sub-contactors. Peter Hayes, who was our point of contact was very easy to work with and responsive to any questions we had. We could not be happier.

Project Simplification Through Lumina Solar

Our project for moving to solar energy involved six different companies who install solar panels. Using the information I learned from my personal research on the topic, a questionnaire I configured to pull out the details from each company, and a spreadsheet where I was able to store both objective and subjective information I was able to get a quick summary of the information and data I received from each company and do a visual comparison. Knowing which manufacturers produce the best solar panels and microinverters, and which products the installation companies use in their systems are certainly major factors in making the final decision. But reading detailed reviews from their clients and discussing the facts with the sales person should play an important part in the process. I found Christopher Richardson, our sales person, to be both knowledgeable and forthcoming in the information he provided. After looking at all the pieces from the potential installers I found that Lumina stood out both in terms of using top-rated equipment and simplifying the process through to the time of activation. My work as a customer ended at the point at which we selected Lumina and signed our contract. Afterwards their team carried the project to site survey, obtaining all necessary permits, installing the panels and electrical equipment, working with our local power supplier, and setting up warranties and certificates. In our observation we found that all employees of Lumina (salesman, system engineers and designers, schedulers, installation and inspection teams and project administrator) worked together seamlessly. We are now truly basking in the sun and seeing our solar production meet and exceed our electrical consumption.

Absolutely great group!

Courtney is my consultant! She led me through every step of the process before we even started. All the possible ups and downs etc. first class! The crews that came to my house were 100% professional and really loved their work. They were very proud of the job they do as well. I would 100% recommend them and will be using them in any solar builds I do from now on!

Lumina Solar provided a great experience from start to finish. At my the first introduction to my saleman, Andrew Cimino, all my questions were answered. Andrew was very knowledgeable of the process and very professional. The install team was great as well, led by Jason Larkins and electrical lead Devin Jones. The install team was very friendly and answered all my question during the install process. All the trash was cleaned up prior to leaving after the install was complete. As my trench was done in early March, I had trouble getting grass to grow where the trench was dug while the temperatures were still on the cold side. Andrew stopped by in April on his own time and brought with him enough seed and straw to redo the grass seed. All in all, Lumina made the process seamless and were very friendly and professional. I would certainly recommend Lumina Solar to anyone considering adding solar panels.

The Adventure of a Lifetime

Lumina did a good job at providing the service recommended. They talked us through our concerns and put our minds at ease. I felt comfortable trusting them with the numbers and managing the mechanics of the installation. Ultimately, we installed solar panels and have a much more efficient running house. In addition, the software allows me to view how much energy we spend and produce. The installation went smoothly, and they did a very thorough job. However, there were times when communication was lacking, and our sales rep embodied professionalism to maintain the company's appearance instead of showing us authenticity and truthful responses. Overall this was a great experience where they delivered excellent customer service and the requested product while making accommodations for our situation.
