What a great experience

I highly, highly recommend Lumina Solar if anyone is looking into solar. One of the best decisions we made as a family. Our sales rep and every single installer was absolutely wonderful to work with. Each person was courteous, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. We weren't sold more panels then needed and the Lumina team's customer service is out of this world. Reach out if interested! Fantastic, Thorough, and Professional

Lumina Solar proved to be an excellent partner in getting our home solar array installed and operational. They handled all of the paperwork for us, including permitting, financial loan (with their partner Dividend), SREC registration, and even our county tax exemption. Everything was easily signed online electronically, which helped to keep the process moving along smoothly. Catie Meck was exceptional in informing me of all of my purchase options, their various benefits and drawbacks, and how each phase of the process would work. I never felt lost or overwhelmed, which is really quite amazing considering how complex a project it is to hook into the power grid as a producer. The entire project from install to operational took 1.5 months, with the majority of that time waiting for either a slot on the county inspector's schedule or for Dominion to come swap out our old meter for a new net meter. The solar panel installation itself only took two days. All Lumina installation personnel were professional, maintained social distance, and wore a mask if they needed to enter my home (which was only for some brief work in the attic). I was notified whenever electricity in the home would need to be turned off, and their personnel even waited around for a full hour to continue their work when my wife had an important online meeting she couldn't miss. We appreciated that so much. If you are looking into a solar array for your own home, I HIGHLY recommend Lumina. They made the process easy, and everyone we dealt with was polite, competent, and professional. There were some other solar providers that had a slightly lower price tag, but I am happy to pay a bit more to get the level of reliable service I received from Lumina.

From my first virtual meeting with Lumina (Shane Williams is great) to the assistance in turning things on post-permit, Lumina offered terrrific customer support to complement an excellent product. Strongly recommend.

Excellent Company

The team at Lumina Solar were excellent to work with, both before and after the sale. They were on time for appointments and the installation was flawless. No surprises or complications at all. We could not be happier with our decision to go with Lumina. Everything was explained in detail and was simple to understand. Highly recommended solar installer

After doing our research, we chose Lumina Solar for our solar installation. We worked closely with Tim Cooke to get the system designed the way we wanted, and the Lumina team was always very responsive to our questions and requests. The entire process, from design to the final inspection, went pretty much flawless. We would like to specifically call out how well the team managed the whole project and kept all the key stakeholders in the loop the entire time. Often customers focus on the technical specifications and the system costs; in our experience with home projects, good project management can easily be the most critical and important "element" that we are procuring. The Lumina team gets 5/5 from us. They made this solar installation a simple, trouble-free turnkey project. We have been using the system for the past two months, and we are extremely pleased with it. We would recommend Lumina Solar without hesitation.

I thought that I got excellent service for what I needed done.

My solar panels had stopped working and I needed a company to repair them. My son's wife is on face book and as I do not have face book she found people that were very excited about the work they had done from Lumina Solar. As I had tried many companies to help me none had responded to my calls. Going on the Facebook recommendations I contacted Lumina and they were happy to help me with my problem. They came out, found the problem and installed a new Invertor to get my system up and running again.

Great from start to finish

Everyone I dealt with at Lumina was fantastic. We shopped around with multiple providers and we very impressed with the service we received at Lumina. From the sales process with Matt Dier through install and setup, permission to operate and everything, we felt supported and could easily get our questions answered and concerns addressed. Matt has continued to be awesome post-sale, answering my daily pings quickly. Thrilled to be solar, and confident to have done it with Lumina!

Professional and efficient from intro. to post installation.

We chose Lumina Solar due to the simple way in which Solar power and its benefits were explained to us. It was not a sales pitch , but more of an education, which is what we were looking for. The system recommended to us made sense for what we needed, no attempt to oversell. The entire process was seamless, Lumina coordinated obtaining all the necessary forms for us to review/sign, even our HOA approval. Colin Gload of Lumina was always available for our questions on the process and system we selected. Installation day was especially impressive, the team came by and with very little disruption, within a matter of 2-3 hrs had completed installation, cleaned up, explained the system and were gone. Our system has been on for a little over a month and we have already eliminated our BGE electric bill. No regrets. We highly recommend Lumina Solar for anyone looking to go green and save some $$$.

High quality all around

I purchased a home rooftop system from Lumina in June and had installation performed recently. So far the experience has been exceptional, from pre- and post-sales support (Tim Cooke is both knowledgeable and responds rapidly to questions), to the installation team (Dominque & Anthony), and top-notch electricians (Drew & Devon). Basically, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I also appreciate the thoughtful design of the system, as you can't see any exterior conduit on the roof. It's just a very neat and clean design. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend selecting this growing company from the many out there given Lumina's knowledge of photo voltaic systems, in addition to their genuine commitment to customer service.

Responsive. Knowledgeable. Professional. Helpful.

Lumina Solar was one of three solar companies I contacted for quotes on my solar install. All offered the same services but only Lumina provided the service needed to complete my project. From the start I was provided a great sales representative Phil who was knowledgeable and able to provide multiple system options to suit different needs. No pressure was ever applied to make a sale. The other competitors only tried to sell their preferred system setup. Lumina gave options from the number of labels, types of panels and back up batteries to personalize my setup for what my home needed. Installation was a breeze and complete timely even in the dead of winter. Hassles from the solar loan company and parts availability due to COVID were handled efficiently and everything is perfect and as should be. Their customer service is top notch and they are always willing to assist and answer any questions. I have never gone without communication from the company on any aspects.

They do what they say they will do

It's wonderful to deal with a company that keeps its promises. They respond to your calls, come on time, and do good work.

GREAT SERVICE

Another company looked at our funky 1930 bungalow on Google Earth and refused to even provide an estimate. Lumina did a thorough structural evaluation to maximize the number of panels that could be supported safely by our roof. They scrambled to finish the installation be the end of December 2019 so we could take advantage of a rebate that was set to expire. Lumina kept us informed all the way through the process. We've now been online for 19 months. Our 8 kW system has worked flawlessly and has supplied an average of 25% of our household energy over that period. We have three adults working from home and lots of tech).

Lumina Solar is great!

I spoke with five different solar companies before deciding to go with Lumina Solar and I am thrilled with my decision. I chose Lumina because they really focused on the data and were less "pushy" compared to the other companies I spoke with. I really like the projected cash flow chart they provided which shows predicted levels of solar output and the associated offset of energy costs. Shane was super helpful walking me through the proposal and the specifics of how everything worked and answering the dozens of questions I threw at him throughout the process. Miranda in scheduling was great and the inspection/installation crew was awesome. I was kept up-to-date with every step of the process and everything went very smoothly. I strongly recommend Lumina Solar if you�re looking to install solar panels!

Great service, great price

"We looked at a few solar providers and Lumina struck a perfect balance for us with good price and fantastic service. Tim was extremely helpful as we were picky about how we wanted our solar panels placed but were blocked by metal pipes in our roof. Tim helped us find a contractor who was willing to move them for us so we can have the panels straight across and we are thrilled with how it turned out. Would highly recommend this company to anyone!"

Lumina Solar was awesome! From the very beginning they were up front and honest about the process and walked us through everything. Our representative, Luisa, was particularly great and was very communicative and available at all hours for any questions we had. They handled everything and made switching to solar very simple and easy.

Lumina is awesome! Alex was very thorough and amazing to work with. He explained the process well and communicated everything. The whole process was pretty quick and painless on my side. I highly recommend Luminia to anyone interested in going solar.

Best project mgmt and customer service

Lumina Solar did a fantastic job of managing the installation and operation of my solar panels, batteries, and car charger. Every part of the project was expertly managed and any questions or concerns were dealt with quickly so I was never in the dark about what was happening. We've had our panels and car charger installed since Dec 2020 and our batteries installed since June 2021. They even handled most of the documentation that was needed for state and local tax credits which made it super easy to get the financial incentives straight. I wouldn't go with anyone else for my next solar needs.

The time is now!

We had a fantastic experience with Lumina Solar - we live in Columbia, MD - and Lumina completed all the paper work to have our project pass the homeowner association reviews. Everything went like clockwork - from the initial consultation, the design meeting, the installation, the inspections - that day we got to flip the switch! Our system is designed to generate about 110% of our annual needs (and note - we have 2 EVs - think of that - powering the house and our vehicles). Plus Lumina supports WTMD... where we originally heard about them. The time is right - with the efficiency and cost of panels, federal tax credit, state incentives, the low interest rates and SRECs still to be had - call them today!

Such an amazing experience!!

We want to give a huge shout out to a Lumina Solar company, who installed our solar panels, and Matt, who’s been with us through the whole process!! When we got this house, we knew immediately that we want to install solar panels – we do not have even an inch of shade! So, I started my research. And while a lot of companies for some reasons did not get me serious, and were not very interested in talking to me, and promised that they will come back with a design system and then never showed up…Matt came on our first call all prepared and ready to go: even the whole system was already designed!! He spent about 4 hours with us answering all our questions and explaining every little detail. Everything was so clear to us by the end of the call, that the very next day we signed up the contract. Yesterday we turned on our panels!!! After we signed the contract, Lumina Solar took care of everything for us: from tons of application to all the permissions and finally - installation. So all we had to do is keep bothering Matt with questions!!:) and be sure Matt was right there for us 24/7, which totally amazed us. So huge thank you to Lumina Solar and Matt!!!

Excellent Experience

I am very happy with my Lumina Solar system. Alex was my project manager. Before our first call, he was ready with a satellite picture of my house that showed how much sun and shade my roof received and what my options were. He patiently went through each option, answering all of my many questions, and designed a system that met with my needs. Miranda took care of all of my paperwork and followed up with me as needed to ensure that I stayed on track. The installers were polite and efficient. I was at ease with all of them. They also answered my many questions. I needed to have some of the drywall cut out for a new electric panel. They cleaned up after themselves, vacuuming the bedroom for me. Their online portal is easy to use. I can see each panel working and how much my system is producing on a hourly to yearly basis. They are highly recommended.

Honestly Call Lumina Solar and Save $$ with honest sale people

If you are looking to go solar you must talk to Colin Gload at Lumina Solar. When I was shopping for a solar system I was going to go with the first fast talking salesperson that seemed like they had a good deal. Thank God I talked to Colin before signing with the other company. Colin from Lumina Solar told me the truth about solar. Honestly goes along way, he took the time to explain all of my tax credits the other company was trying to take from me and turn over to themselves. All together he saved me $20,000.00 in tax credits and rebates and that does not include my yearly savings on electricity and my yearly SERC ( old electric bill from BGE was between $300-$500 monthly now I only pay a $8.65 service fee and BGE pays me about $150.00 a year true numbers). 4 years later one of my solar panels stops working. My panel was under warranty but the panel company was no longer in business. Colin and Lumina Solar did not walk away from this problem. They worked it out to replace the damaged solar panel at no cost to me. Even after the sale is made any they get your money Lumina Solar will still treat you like a new customer. In today’s world of poor customer service and even poorer sales practices made to mislead you, it was wonderful meeting Colin Gload and Lumina Solar, I even offered Colin a job at my company but he loves his work in solar. The average person does not have the time or knowledge to understand all the workings in solar discount, credit, wattage, inverters, SREC, etc but you will be responsible when you sign the contract, so take a few minutes to call Lumina Solar. You have nothing to loose, Colin saved me over $20k and I own my system and it pays me every year. CALL Lumina Solar—you won’t be disappointed!

Great experience

Lumina Solar was a great overall experience. My salesman was Alex. He listened to me, answered questions honestly and was very knowledgeable. I did a lot of research before buying and Lumina was the company I was most comfortable with. They were helpful throughout the process. The installers were professional and polite. I had no issues during the entire experience. And there was no high pressure sales pitch. Five stars
