Solar Panel Installation

I met with Justin Roche last year in February from Long Island Power Solutions. He was very professional, very informative, and came through on every detail on the products they sold me. I purchased 34 panels for my home, and have not had a bill since other than the basic PSE&G meter fee. Do your research before you go through with this large of a purchase. A lot of these companies will try to sell you on cheaper panels. The panels he suggested for me, after extensive research were every bit as good as he said. The guys that did the install were quick, clean, and professional. Last month, an electrician forgot to turn a breaker back on in my garage, and the company was quick to call me and notify me that the panels on my garage were off. I've recommended many others to this company and they are as satisfied as I continue to be a year after having them installed. Call Justin and LI Power if you're in the market.

Great Experience Overall

I purchased an 18.55 kW system from Long Island Power last year. My sales and project rep Justin Roche was very thorough and compelling in outlining the benefits of solar, planning our intended capacity, and giving us a good idea of what we could expect at each stage of the process. Because of the numerous regulations we have in NY, a local company is best suited for a project like this, and there was no additional work I had to complete on my part since the permitting applications were entirely handled by Long Island Power. Moreover, Justin helped us get the best tax incentives on our project by getting it scoped by the end of the year and bundling our required roof repairs into the project. The install only took about 3 hours or so and the cleanup was quite thorough.

Diligent, Courteous, and Affordable (15.4 kW system)

As a chemist and electrical vehicle owner, I was set on the technology aspect of the solar array installation. I was instead focused on finding a no-nonsense team that knowledgeable and diligent given the amount of coordination the project needed. Justin at LI Power Solutions led that team. As first time homeowners, we were apprehensive to making our first significant home improvement a new roof and solar installation, given some of the nightmare stories shared on the internet. LI Power Solutions was one of the few companies that made a re-roofing (paid via financing) through another contractor possible WITHOUT forcing us to go through weeks of red-tape. Justin who was nothing short of a model professional as he strongly fulfilled his role as a conduit between us, the financing company Sungage, the roofing contractor Xterior Solutions, and his systems design team. All permits were acquired and milestone dates for the project were realistic when relayed to us. There were never exaggerations, lies, or false promises. The day of the re-roofing, we were expecting to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for a handful of plywood that was soft and needed replacing. When the roofers found all of the plywood sheathing was rotting, I contacted Justin. Within the hour, he had made contact with Sungage and the owners of LI Power Solutions. I was assured that the new $4500 cost discovered under the shingles would be financed one way or another. I was assured being a first time home owner is stressful enough without those types of awful surprises. The day of the solar installation (less than a week later) went smoothly. Justin drove 3 hours from his home to ensure all was going well. The installation time was supposed to take a business day. The team arrived at 8 AM and was done by 2PM, finishing sooner than expected. The flashing on the shingles were well done and the electrical work going from my breaker to the roof was tidy. Given the size of our solar array, several companies offered competitive quotes. LI Power Solutions offered lower Sungage financing rates than other publicly traded solar installers/manufacturers, offered roof prepping as far as a complete re-roofing job, and a service team that was transparent, reliable, and available. I will not hesitate in calling Justin at LI Power Solutions when we are ready for a second array on the other portion of our roof.

Amazing!

After looking at several companies for solar we happened upon long island power solutions at a street fair in ronkonkoma. We spoke to Matt Debardelaben who then came to our house and truley WOWED us! He was very professional and never made me feel like I was talking to a salesman rather I felt I was talking to a friend. He was with us step by step through the entire process including showing up the day of the install. Everything from the consultation to the final install was a smooth process including fhe amazing job theor roofing company did. We needed a whole new roof and they were able to get it done quick clean and with amazing customer service. I recommend this company to every single person I talk to!

Great Experience from Start to Finish

Bruce Vaughan came to my home to provide an estimate for the cost of the installation and also to provide an ladea of what we would be saving. We had just purchased the home and were at least a year away from making a commitment, but Bruce diligently researched the numbers prior to the meeting and took a great deal of time explaining the machinations of the process. One year later, when we were ready to get the panels done, Bruce returned and covered all the details again to finalize the installation. I had shared with Bruce that my wife was pregnant and he brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers for the expecting mother. He was extremely helpful through the whole process and promptly answered every call, text and email. The day before the installation, Bruce called to make sure everything was going to plan and I mentioned I was having a hard time getting someone to be home for the install since my wife and I both work. Bruce, unselfishly and graciously, offered to stay at my home to make sure there was nothing to worry about. My wife and I were so comfortable with him during the prior visits, that this was certainly a great option. He arrived exactly when he said he would and spoke with my wife as I had already left for work. I was able to swing back through and speak with Bruce. Not only was he taking care of watching the install, he also took the time to watch the dog and let him out. That level of service is unprecedented and really showed how much he cares about his customers. The installation was done perfect and it looks great. Bruce took the time to explain how the system was installed and how to use the mobile app. I highly recommend calling LIPS and especially recommend asking for Bruce. He is a great person and is a great ambassador for the this company. 5 Stars absolutely.

Excellent from start to end.

I started with 6 estimates from different companies. Then LIPS was recommended by my Neighbor's friends. Tom Scala is the Energy Consultant who walked me through the entire process. Everything went very smoothly from start to end. Installation is highly professional as well. I requested that conduits not be exposed so they ran the wires inside my attic. Compared to others, LIPS offered me the best cost per system watt and able to work on how I want the panels laid out including trenching from the garage to the house. I can now monitor my solar production and it's been working great. Amazing company with a top-notch staff. Totally satisfied with my experience. I highly recommend LIPS to homeowners considering going solar.

Professional company

After a few friends had recommended LIPS I decided to give them a try . I was very hesitant at first because I didn’t fully understand the whole process . After Matt had come over not once but twice to go over everything we took the plunge. I couldn’t have been happy with the way the company was so professional . Everything that they said they were going to do they did . The day of the instal the crew were very neat and Courteous of my home. When they left there wasn’t a piece of garbage ,paper anything around. I can totally appreciate that. Matt has always gotten back to us very promptly . Nice Gentleman and company to work with. Can’t wait to start to see the savings!!

Very Impressed

Long Island Power Solutions is truly a great company that puts their customers first. If you are looking for a turn key installer with competitive pricing AND customer service, look no further! Matt from LIPS was great! He was very informed and patient to answer all my questions. He did everything in his capacity to make sure I was a happy customer. He had Sense monitoring installed for me (I bought the Sense monitor myself). This was in addition to the Enphase monitoring they provide. He also help work with the owners to negotiate my deal. A true professional! Thanks Matt and LIPS, I will always refer you for any Solar needs.

Easy process

We interviewed several companies and ultimately decided to use Long Island Power solutions. Tom was our sales associate and explained to us the process which seemed straight forward. Tom made himself available always to us. There was minimal work needed on our end as everything was done for us. We had a few issues that delayed installed but nothing due to the company just due to the structure of our house. So from start to finish it took about 3 months until install, but we had delays due to permits. Even on install day the crew was so nice when we thought we had to have our conduits exposed the crew and the main office were trying to do everything not to do that... in the end we don’t have any showing but they were all willing to make sure we were satisfied. Very neat job also! Let there be sun!

Professional Installation!!

Our neighbors had LIPS do their solar installation. We were interested, so we talked with them. After doing a little research, we contacted Matt D and he came to our home and explained how everything would work and answered all of our many questions. We thought it over and decided to move forward with LIPS.

Clean Install

I had a few solar companies visit prior to Long Island Power Solutions. None of them were willing to hide the conduit in the attic and walls. Tom from LIPS was highly recommended to me and I gave it one more shot. I'm glad I did.. these guys were awesome. Not only were they able to hide the conduit like I wanted but they walked us through the entire process from design to install.

Quality work. Excellent customer service.

I actually met Matt at the Farmingville street fair. He came over explained what they would do and what I could expect from the system. No pressure at all. Left the ball in my court. I called back to give them the job. I’ve had other solar companies give high pressure sales pitches which immediately turned me off. Matt is highly knowledgeable and his explanation of the system made the decision a no brainer. The office staff I have spoken with are equally professional and fantastic to work with. The entire installation crew were phenomenal. I would highly recommend Matt and LI Power Solutions to anyone interested in solar.

Best solar company out there

I am someone that over researches a company's had 4 companies come to my house,2 i threw outfit was between 2 companies, when Joe came to my house and showed me what i would get, plus he was the only one that told me about micro inverters, he told me what i should produce, he said i will get more then he is telling me. My father was in constructions i know more then the average home owner, when they came to install my system, what a great job, nice and neat, it came out awesome,i have had my system for 7 years' just broke even, un believable how great the system works,PSEG has owed me money every year since i have had my system.I would and i do recommend them to everyone.Thank you for being a great company and great people.

Matt was very knowledgeable and understanding. Long Island Power Solutions was chosen based on design and price. I had looked at a total of four solar companies. Long Island Power Solutions was best choice. The installation team was very friendly. The work was completed in a timely manner even with rain and wind delays. My solar panel system was producing electricity on the first day at the completion of the installation. The system produces electricity even on cloudy days.

Solar panels were just installed, energy savings I have not enjoyed yet. Tom was professional thru out the entire process, paperwork was handled by Tom and the staff in the office. The installation took just one day, I would recommend Long Island Power to my friends and family.

Henry LaRosa was the best advocate for his company and can be reached at any time and has done his job above and beyond any other company I have ever dealt with. The installation was a breeze. They were neat, professional and courteous. When Bill Betancourt came to explain the system to us after installation, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable.
