Impressed with Solar System and Service

Our system was installed in late March of 2014. The first month our electric bill dropped by $50 after operating for only a week during that month. Since then, for the past 8 months our bill has been $7.59/month, which is a minimum required charge and covers the local administrative fees. We haven't paid for electricity since it was installed. We were thinking that we would have to install 30 panels to eliminate our electric bill and were concerned when we could only fit 20 panels on our roof. 20 panels is doing the job. We couldn't be more pleased.

What I so liked about Intermountain Wind and Solar was how I was treated. There was nothing pushy about the folks from I.W.S. They worked with me in realizing the goal that I had for so many years of having solar panels installed. Truly these folks are the best of the best!! I was s impressed that I referred some friends of mine to I.W.S. for solar panel installation and they too were most impressed. It was truly a joy doing business with I.W.S. I would turn to I.W.S. again. That is how good the company is!!

From start to finish I was impressed with the process. They came to the home to actually look at the roof and did not just use the google satellite image to do their layout. They worked with me to use the rebate from Rocky Mountain Power. I felt I always got honest answers to my many questions even when they weren't what I wanted to hear. They quoted several different system sizes and configurations based on some financial constraints we were under. When the crew showed up for the actual installation they were polite, friendly, professional, and did not act the least bit annoyed with my many questions. They worked together as a team and got the job done and did not leave a mess. Their electricians that upgraded the meter were just as friendly and professional. After the system was up and running they sent another quality control team to check the installation and they made a couple of adjustments tieing down a loose cable and adding a couple of roof mount supports they felt would be beneficial. One of the most impressive things was when the City inspectors new it was IWS doing the install they seemed confident in their work from their past experiences with IWS. When RMP came out to inspect the system for the rebate they were equally happy know that it was IWS because of their past experiences with the company. I felt the salesman I worked with was attentive but not pushy. I stopped by their offices just to check things out before I committed and they happily showed me around the offices and warehouse. I would highly recommend IWS without reservation.

Solar Power for my Electric car

I was looking for a solar installer to provide a system to cover the additional energy usage from my electric car, what I found were excellence, professionalism, and honesty from start to finish. Intermountain Wind and Solar started by educating us about solar and the best in the industry products they sell. They let us set the pace and answered every question we had, there was no rush to sign on the first meeting. After gathering 6 competing quotes over several weeks and after sending out a 30 point questionnaire to all 6 installers, Intermountain Wind and Solar came out on top with the best company longevity, personnel, quality of product and installation history; and their price knocked the socks off the rest of the competition. During the one day install we were able to interact with their master electrician, their certified solar installers (they don’t contract-out the install team, all were company employees) and their project manager. We learned even more about what’s going on behind those solar panels and the inter-connection between our solar produced energy and the utility provided energy. We also walked with our city inspector as she raved about Intermountain Wind and Solar’s “time and time again flawless installations”. From our first introduction to the company to their guided help with our state and federal tax credit forms; this is the only company we would recommend for the perfect solar installation experience.

I had a great experience with these folks. My cabin up in the Park City area had been wired with solar panels by some college kids who thought they knew what they were doing. I called Justin in their sales department, and he was able to quickly get an engineer out to fix the issue. Apparently it was a close call.
