Justin was very helpful and professional. The whole process was easier than I imagined it could be with the IWS team handling all of the paperwork and performing the installation in about 5 hours. The system has been seamless since installation and we have a healthy kilowatt hour credit balance that should more than cover the winter months of lower production

Totally Happy with Intermountain Wind and Solar

Totally happy with Intermountain Wind and Solar. They did what they said they would do and more. Very professional, and prompt. System installed in May 2014, and Power Bill since has be $9.00 and a few cents a month. In Aug. we purchased a Nissan Leif full electric can and are driving green, charging the car from the Sun. December now and we have over a month's credit with the Power Company doing Net-Metering.

Go no further!

The staff of Intermountain Wind and Solar are incredible. They answered all our questions, were always on time and polite, did an incredible job on a very difficult installation, and lead us through the process with confidence.

Intermountain Wind and Solar did an excellent job installing our system from start to finish. They took care of all the necessary filings and paperwork with the entities involved. They did all the leg work that would have been a hassle if we had tried to do it ourselves. Our home is a very old home, and we had to have some electrical upgrades in order to have the system installed. Intermountain planned for this, and when they arrived to do the work they were able to get the system upgraded, installed, and ready for production in a single day. Our Sales person, Justin, was great to work with. He listened to what we wanted and provided a system that was perfect for our desires. He kept in touch with us throughout the process. We feel the price for the system was more than competitive and have not had any regrets. We have had the system for a little over a year and it is working great. This is an excellent company with which to work.

Great sales people/coordinator, prices great, installation seamless. Only complaint is visibility of panels from street.

Good follow through and follow-up

We were not ready because of the need for a new roof. After we got the roof on they followed up with an application to Rocky Mountain Power. When we were notified that we were a lottery grant recipient we went ahead. The whole process was straight forward and they kept us informed and performed as they said they would. They followed up with the post installation materials and we held a solar open house that over 14 of our neighbors attended.

Great company, good service

They were great to work with. I would recommend providing them with drawings showing desired panel placement on the roof. They didn't mount the panels where I wanted, but were quick to respond and make the fix.

Achieved expected results with above average customer service

We have installed a handful of solar power systems over the last 2 years with Intermountain Wind and Solar. In every case, we have met the production goals we have set and are seeing a huge impact on energy bills. Our sales rep, Mark Richards, always is available to help with any question or concern that we might have and quickly has worked to get us exactly what we need. Follow through has been exceptional.

Great Job a t a Great Price.

I was going to have Solar Panels installed by another company they would have covered about 55% of our energy usage for About $132K. I Called Inter Mountain just to get a price comparison and found that Inter Mountain's Price was MUCH better. It was so much better that for $144K Inter Mountain was able to install panels that would cover 100% of our companies usage. I am so glad I called around. I figured that all the solar companies were the same but that is clearly not the case. I called the 1st company and explained that I could get 100% of My needs covered with Inter Mountain for only 10K More. He asked what brand of material they would be using, I told him and he said that is very good equipment. He just kept trying to sell me on the fact that there are a lot of incentives, depreciation and tax credits that offset the costs. I said I agree but I would prefer to get more and spend less if all is relative. He didn't have much to say. Working with Inter Mountain was Great. The took care of all the permits, and helped getting the engineering approval for the roof. Everything was done on or before schedule. They were great to work with and I highly recommend them. what a wonderful system and great support save me a lot

the sales process was pretty slow but Wednesday got bugs system in in the sport fall asleep for a year and a half save me a fortune in power bills made me more green and gives me some emergency power I can run my house on a summer day with the power my panels create.

Intermountain Wind and Solar Forever!

I stumbled across Intermountain Wind and Solar by accident at a Home Show. It was the best thing that ever happened to my family. Their pricing was excellent and they had a system designed for whatever anyone could ever desire. We selected the system that had battery backup because I use a CPAP at night and need the extra security of being able to breathe through the night. We had a few problems with the equipment and the proper outlets being assigned to the battery backup panel and I thought that now I would find out just how good the IW&S customer service would be. Believe me folks, it is the ABSOLUTELY BEST!!!. When the difficulties were taking so long to fix the owner and founder actually came out to our house himself! He assured me that until they were able to find and fix the problem to everyone's satisfaction that it would remain at the top of his personal priority list. The problem was finally isolated and a faulty piece of equipment was replaced. The correct circuit was hooked into the battery backup panel and the rest is history. My bill has now been reduced to the basic $9.00 a month the Utah Power charges just to be hooked up to the grid. The office and sales staff along with the installers are so professional, polite and friendly. We know each other on a first name basis and I truly refer to them now as my "Best Friends." Thank you IWS for all your help. I will happily refer all my family and friends to Intermountain Wind and Solar forever! Tom and Larean Borrowman

Sales process was excellent. I solicited proposals from seven purveyors. Intermountain was among the lowest priced. As far as I could tell, the panels themselves are comparable from one source to another. If someone has done exhaustive testing, I didn't find the results. Ditto for the micro inverters. I had questions about the engineering of additional roof loading by the system; I don't believe that my concerns were adequately addressed. After the installation, I discovered that 8 of my panels weren't oriented due south (and my flat roof would have allowed such orientation). I keep finding stray sheet metal screws on the ground, but that is no big deal. I love the lack of electric power bills since the installation!

Best thing I ever did!

I had been very skeptical for many years before investing in Solar power. But since I had Intermountain Wind and Solar install my solar power plant, I have never paid another power bill to Rocky Mnt Power. And I still have over 4,000 KW credits with RMP this year to take me into the winter months. IWS really provided me with everything I needed, and then some! They are the greatest bunch of solar professionals on top of, and under one roof. Pun intended!

My solar installation experience

I have been very pleased with installation and performance of my solar collectors. They have produced the power as advertized by the solar engineer designing the system. As of this date we have produced enough power to satisfy our electrical needs.

The sales folks knew what they were talking about but we were really amazed at the installation team. They were fast, professional, and very responsive to all our questions and requests. And, unlike most construction teams we've had at our house, there was no loud music, abandoned trash, etc And the follow up team has done a good job of answering all our questions too. We wish all our visits from installers and service folks were so impressive!

7.14 Kw dc system

In brief: I am totally satisfied with my experience with Intermountain Wind and Solar. My installation presented challenges that they met without blinking. For example, I have a 1 in 16 pitch roof with 45 mil thermoplastic membrane over 3" of dense foam insulation and my stipulation that the installation not penetrate the membrane. IW&S contracted to place the panels on weighted pans having a 15 degree angle. The manufacturer of the pans suddenly informed IW&S they no would longer support residential installations. Long story short this required going to a weighted racking approach that could only use a 10 deg angle. This required adding an additional panel and inverter as well as additional roofing material padding. This was done at their expense and with no prodding from me. The installation crew was quick and professional. I was impressed they arrived on site, held a conference to review the job and discuss the safety aspects of the job. A single day job to completely install racking, wiring and 28 panels ready for service in a single day. The entire staff is knowledgeable and above all friendly and available to take time to answer questions and deal with any perceived problems. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

New Solar Plant Owner

The decision to install a solar system on my roof only occurred after talking with other companies and comparing. Intermountain Wind and Solar provided me the information I needed to make an informed decision. The advance work was professional. I was kept informed throughout the process and once construction began had the opportunity to monitor their work. Was there some hiccups - yes, but the customer service and follow-up was excellent. It became clear that I was not just a sale but a lifetime customer. Customer service continues after the sale which is the way it should be.
