Love my solar!

Justin was great to work with. He came to our home, and showed us what an installation could look like for us. I live in a townhome, and we were the first to put solar on our home. So it was important to me that the installation would be done right. It looks great, and Goldin's installation team was very flexible about when I wanted the conduit run, so that it would limit what could be see on the outside of our building. Finally, Melissa was very attentive to all my questions, and did a great job facilitating with permitting and our power company.

Overall, I am very happy with Goldin Solar. I would use them again. The built a good system and were always respectful of our home and privacy. Brice was the lead during construction, and he rocked. Great guy. Andrew sold me the product early on. He was new to the business, but super nice and found out any info he couldn't answer immediately. My only complaint was communication. It seemed there wasn't a good connection from Andrew to Brice to the home office. Brice had no idea who Andrew was when he showed up. It just didn't seem like the whole team talked to each other about our job to be sure we were all on the same page the entire time. It all worked out in the end. They slightly damaged my sprinkler system and gutters and reimbursed me for repairing both. Thank you Goldin Solar. I am now getting 70-80% of my power covered by mother nature. :-)

Super Responsive Solar Provider

Goldin Solar gave me a tremendous value, did a professional installation, and was extremely responsive to questions I had. They kept me informed through the process and worked well with Tampa Electric and the City of Tampa to get through required installation inspections and milestones. Couldn't ask for a better group of people with a finer product than Goldin Solar.

The installation crew did a good job. The installation was quick and properly built. Passed inspection with no problems. The best part is my loan payment is less than my average electric bill day 1.

Love of my System, and making my own Electricity!

I started paying attention to my electricity bill because my home is serviced by the city of Vero Beach Electric company, and my neighbors a few streets away, are serviced by FP&L and pay a lot less than I do for electricity; there was an intense debate in the local paper discussing a possible sale of the utility to FP&L which could lower rates, but nothing seemed certain, and years away at the soonest, if at all. I was frustrated that I had to pay more for electricity, because of where I lived, and it seemed like there wasn't anything I could do about it. Fortunately, in my search, I learned that I could produce my own electricity with a Solar Power system! I reached out to a few area companies to get a quote, and after comparing 3 quotes, I choose Goldin Solar because their quotation process was far more specific than the other companies. They asked to see 12 months worth of bills, while the other companies just asked to see my last bill. One of their competitors proposed selling me less panels, and a new pool pump, saying that the new pump would reduce my bill by over 20%. Goldin Solar installed an energy sensor that measured the amount of electricity used by my pump and other devices in my home, and showed me that my pool pump only used about 5% of my total electricity, and even if the new pump used no electricity at all, that it couldn't reduce my bill by the 20% proposed; they had my business because they didn't exaggerate. Once I signed on, they came by the house to get my roof measured within a few days. It did take over a month for them to get a permit, but as soon as they had it they were out to the house within a week, and had the system installed a few days later! The install team was courteous and hard working, and did a great job of showing me how the system worked. On the last day of the installation, they set up an app on my phone so that I could see each and every panel. I'm pleased to say that after almost a year, the system is doing exactly what they said it would, and I am quietly producing my own electricity, and hope to continue to do so for many more to come!

Simply the best

Goldin Solar has been one of the best businesses I have worked with in South Florida. Daren the owner is very knowledgeable and to be able to work with someone that knows how to treat customers in South Florida is bonus. The solar system he and his team installed went in with minimal hassle from the HOA (his team provided everything they needed to approve) The permits were pulled and the inspection went well. I am generating my own power :) ......I will definitely have them do more for me In the near future.....seeing a $9 FPL bill is special.

What an amazing team!!!!!!

What an amazing team!!!!!! It was time to change my roof, and so I decided that was also time to consider to go solar, I contacted 5 different companies to get a quote on the PV system; some don't even bother to answer, or just email me a quote with no follow-up call or anything. Goldin Solar not only provide me with a quote they also send a person to my home to do a site inspection and provide me with all the answers to my questions. Since I live in a Home Owner Association I was concern about the Board not allow me to do the installation, but the show me the regulation where the state of Florida protects home owners, from abusive HOA. As expected my HOA give us trouble to do the installation and Goldin team including the owner work with us to get all the information that the board requires and the lawyer to show them that were doing the right thing. They work ethics are impeccable; because of the HOA we had to stop the installation many times, and they never place a complaint. They were always willing to work with us. They answer every call and even came to a meeting that they were not required to participate to help us with the HOA. They work with the roofer company to get my tiles cut and to coordinate their schedule for permits and inspections. While installing the system they keep the site clean and they will always give me a progress report. Since this is very new to Miami Dade county, some of their inspector dont even understand the technology and the materials available to use. They went to the county office to teach the inspector about new materials available to use, so they can approved the instalation of the system. After the installation was completed, they keep in touch with me to teach how to monitor the system and following up on how things are working. I can only say good things about them. I strongly recommend the company.

I had 3 estimates for the work, thank goodness I talked to Goldin Solar before making a costly mistake. The first estimate was useless (one of those door to door companies), the second was Goldin, professional and detailed, the 3rd another large company (they came up lower at first but lots of high pressure and push). So I went back and showed Goldin my quote, turns out it was less because of outdated technology (much less efficient). So Goldin got the job. Efficient, clean and helpful. I am up and producing just what I wanted and at a fair price. Walked me though everything to make sure I understood what I was getting. Thank You Goldin, Thank you Marshall.

Here is why I went with Goldin Solar. I talked to three Solar salesmen. 1. The first one looked at one electric bill and said I needed 15 panels total cost 15,000. 2. The second one looked at two electric bills and said I needed 19 panels total cost 20,000. 3. The third one looked at a years worth of electric bills and said I needed 32 panels total cost 21781.16. The third salesman was Kalen Salmon. I went with Kalen because he looked at my entire years worth of electricity bills to make his assessment. Everything Kalen said has come true. He was very nice and we talked longer than normal because we clicked. Kalen is very knowledgeable about the Solar system that he is selling. He didn't make any statements that embellished his product that weren't true. My cost came 6,000 less than my neighbors Solar system that has only two panels more than mine. It took my installers one day to install 32 panels and it took 3 to 4 days for my neighbors 34 panel install. My Solar aray has no holes due to pipes coming out of the roof. My neighbor does. My installers were all from New York and came to Florida to work. I asked one of the installers if he had gone sight seeing in Orlando. He replied "we didn't come to sight see, we came to work". The installers asked permission to use my bathroom. I gave them permission and they knocked on my door and asked permission each time they entered the house. They were extremely polite and I enjoyed talking to them while they installed my Solar panels. I actually enjoyed their presence at my house and really didn't like that they had to leave. I did have a problem with one panel but my installers came the next day and fixed it. I would pit these 4 installers against any Solar team out there. They were awesome. When they were done, you couldn't even tell they had even been there. They worked well together, no foul language, (like most installers), extremely polite, and hard working. You scored big when you hired this team. I can't say enough good things about my experience with your installers.

We could not be more pleased with our solar panels! They are absolutely fantastic - cover our home electric bill including charging our electric car. Daren Goldin and his team at Goldin Solar were absolutely fantastic. They did a great, professional job. Would recommend them to everyone.

Excellent system

The best desicion that I have taken was to install Solar panels; since they became active on September 27 2016, my electrical bill get down from an average of $ 120.00 to $9.04 that corresponds to the fees for using the grid. All the contract process with Goldin Solar was smooth, fast and accurate, Daren the owner is very easy to talk with, he explains everything with detail, answer all questions and is on top of the installation to make that everything is OK.

Fantastic company!

Working with Goldin Solar was a fantastic experience! I have worked with many contractors and many other companies while updating my house, and they were the number one on every respect. The communication was always very easy, every single person I talked to was extremely respectful and willing to take a little longer to explain the process, the job was done super fast and my house is now working on the PV 99% of the time. They were very helpful while navigating the loan and FPL request process and they are still very responsive and attentive to my requests. I recommend them to anyone that is interested in PV for their home and I truly believe they are doing a great job in saving people money. I pay FPL less than $10 a month and I havent had any issues with the system since it was installed.

On August 8, 2015, the 18 mono solar panels that Golden Solar had installed became active. From the day I signed the contract with Goldin Solar to completion it was less than 10 weeks. The crew who came to attach the panels were smart, efficient and friendly. My electric bills went from an average of $66 per month in 2014, to $17 per month in 2016. That 2016 average includes the six months when all I had to pay was the standing $9.41 grid charge. Since the installation, I have had questions about how to monitor the panels' output through the Internet. Those questions have been promptly answered, and one minor repair was promptly made. I am and have been a very enthusiastic reference for Goldin Solar. I am glad to answer any questions about my experience.
