Professional Honest Trustworthy Knowledgable

Have you ever looked at endless positive product or service feedback and asked yourself "is this fake, generated by the employees? I am not an employee nor did I know anyone at at Goldin Solar. I did 6 months of painstaking research into local providers. I requested contact information for customers both satisfied and those with complaints. Goldin gave me a comprehensive list (with customers permission) to speak with and visit. For those of you who don't want lengthy reading, I will give you an early summary. My system went live the last week in April. I have the smaller of the 2 tiered systems. April May marked the start of rainy season. Clouds block the sun anywhere from 10% to 90% of the day. Of course clouds are the enemy of solar power. Last years May FPL bill was almost $300. With one full month of overcast days and guessing that my system is working at 60% due to the clouds, my May bill came it at $56. Since my system went online with the start of heavy A.C. use, I won't start building credits until fall. I then expect my FPL bills to drop to -$0-. Their salespersons were not pushy. They didn't have a canned presentation with "special incentives" if you "sign now". I had endless questions that they patiently answered. They have been solidly in business in South Florida for a number of years. South Florida is littered with "Solar companies" here yesterday and gone today. Some of the other companies who also gave me a bid actually are not installers and use Goldin as their sub contractors. Painless from start to finish. Yesenia was my contact at Goldin. She handled everything from permits to scheduling. She was accessible before, during, and after business hours (weekends also). Aaron in sales was was a good guy and site manager Aldo was always available when I had questions. Two comments to wrap up. I walk the walk. Call Goldin if you want to speak with me or see my system and if you are in a hurry and want solar tomorrow don't purchase solar. With engineering design, customer aporoval, scheduling, permit submission, permit approval, site inspections, building code inspections, FPL inspections, FPL net meter order and install scheduling, you are looking at 8 to 12 weeks depending on your municipality. If you do decide on solar, consider Goldin.

Great service, super easy process!

Solemne, our project coordinator, help us all the way from project to final permits making our experience a excellent one. The City of Dania permits office is famous for being difficult to work with and Solemne even went in person to obtain the permits faster. Then Alex did a great work putting everything together in less than a week. Kudos to this great team!

They are a great company to use when installing solar panels. From the beginning to the end they listened to the customer. I got Exactly the system I wanted without salesman pressure. The whole team worked well together. My solar arrays look very nice on my roof. It’s nice to be producing 85% of my electric use.

I purchased solar through Goldin and the Solar United Neighbors of Florida co-op. The co-op did all the leg work of finding a qualified installer and negotiating the prices. However, I had a great experience with Goldin, as they helped me to choose the right equipment and appropriate system size for my needs. They kept me up-to-date throughout the installation, and sent someone out to help me when I had issues with understanding how to use the app.

Golden solar installation

I use them to build a 37 panel system on my house everyone that I interact with in the company was extremely Pleasant professional they made the entire process easy and seamless I would highly recommend them if you're thinking about getting solar panels.

Great service, great price, highly recommended

This isn't one of your run of the mill solar companies that goes door to door trying to sucker people into buying a system based on uneducated estimates. Instead they provide real data and accurate estimates based on your energy usage and real calculations of expected solar production. As an engineer I have to see the data and check the math and this was the first company that could show their work. I have had long conversations with other people who have installed PV this year and I know that I got the best price per kw, and had the least problems with Goldin Solar handling everything. Initially there was a problem with a defective inverter but it was handled in a timely matter. The only other issue was waiting 3 weeks for the power company to come out to change the meter. I can't fault Goldin Solar for that as their paperwork was submitted early and they kept checking up to see what was taking so long. Additionally there were no hidden costs. I paid exactly the initial estimate amount. Finally the system is outputting the expected amount of power for this time of year.

Excellent Job

The owner and his assistant were very responsive/professional. The technicians were helpful and knowledgeable. The panels have reduced my electric bill by more than %50. Very happy that I did it. It did take a while to get started, but after that everything went seamlessly.

Use Local Solar Companies

I believe that every review should cover the good and bad aspects of a project. Because when I decide to do business with a company, other reviews help me form an opinion. Goldin Solar wasn’t our first solar company we looked at. The whole reason why we wanted solar was to have a way to power the house during a hurricane when FPL power was down. The first company we looked at didn’t fit this requirement. Our neighbor told us about Goldin and that they offered a solution with a battery backup. We contacted Goldin and they sent out a salesman to discuss our options. They worked with us to get financing though the Florida Pace Program. Madelin, my project manager was amazing. She worked with my schedule to get the solar installed and she walked me thru the process and answered all my questions. Aldo, my installation manager made sure I was happy with installation, and made sure that the system was operational. I am sure there are several people behind the scenes that deserve my thanks as well, from the engineers, installers and electricians. There were a few things that didn’t go as expected or discussed, however after talking to Goldin about these issues, I feel Goldin has addressed each of my concerns appropriately. There are a lot of companies that are pushing solar these days. Most of these companies are from California, it’s nice to work with a local company. It helps our economy, and I find that local companies are more responsive. I feel that Goldin is a solid company that would work hard to make sure you get the product and service you need. I wanted to add this one bit of information, on my first day of power generation the monitoring tool said I remove enough CO2 that it was an equivalent of planting two trees. That’s an awesome feeling to know you’re helping the environment.

While communication may have been just a bit better, installation and service people and their work were excellent, and ultimately the office representatives were professional and clear and effective. We are satisfied with the product that was installed.

Great experience start to finish - they know solar.

I worked with Karl Markeset at Goldin Solar who did an amazing job of explaining how it all works and planning out a system that met the needs for my home in Miami Shores. The installation process was smooth and they explained what was happening every step of the way. We ended up with a 33 panel 9.9 kW DC system - you can monitor how it's performing via a web portal so you always know how it's performing. Great company to work with!

Worry-free Solar

The folks at Goldin Solar made the process of installing my solar system 100% worry-free. From clear and concise answers when I walked into their showroom, to excellent project management over the course of the project ... I'm very happy I chose them over the competitors.

New installation

We started this process back in September 2017, searching for the right company and project for our house. We obtained 5 different proposals. We selected Goldin Solar because the answered all my questions in a timely manner. Emails, phone calls and texting. We also went with Goldin Solar because they are a local company that understand our needs in Central Florida. The process is somewhat long due to the complexity of the project. Not everything is under their control specially when you depend on the approval of the HOA, the county approval of the project, then installation, the final inspection and the change of the meter by the utility company. But after all that, our system is up and running. So far it seems that we are producind enough solar energy to upset our use from the grid. Still waiting for the first bill after the installation of the new meter. We will see very soon
