Freedom Power

Best solar systems and best teams and logistics.

All the various members of the SunPower organization demonstrated good will and timely communications to complete the solar system installation on my home. From James Govea the sales guy to various on the roof team members to the electrical contractors and supervisiors all were pleasant, eager and responsive to questions. I did review various solar panels, system components, warranties, financial partners, etc. before going with Freedom. In the end the organization and experience will continue to pay off if the system needs repair in the future. I believe this kind of support both on the front end of a project and follow up to the long term pays off for their customer.

Going solar...finally

Extremely happy with Freedom Solar, Tony and the entire crew. They took very good care of me and made me so happy with the system. Go with Freedom Solar. Go with the best. No excuses. No regrets.

Extremely Professional

This is an awesome and very professional company from start to finish. I had considered other companies but went with Freedom Solar because of the professional, detailed and impressive presentation by Tony Contreras who is a great guy. In fact, I now consider him a friend. I also got the highest efficiency panels (22%) which is the highest in the industry and the only manufacture that makes them! I extremely happy with Freedom Solar. I highly recommend them!!!

A Great Experience with Freedom Solar Power

Our experience with Freedom Solar Power was outstanding. We were satisfied with all aspects of the process, from our initial meeting with Logan Dunne when he described each step in detail, to our final meeting when he gave us the "closeout" packet. It included the following: 1) technical information about our 12.75 kW system; 2) a 25 year warranty on the SunPower solar panels; 3) a Freedom Solar Power lifetime warranty on the their installation and the labor to remove and repair or replace any defective photovoltaic modules and inverters; and 4) information on how to file for a federal tax credit and a Texas property tax exemption. In every step of the way, the scheduling agents answered phone calls without delay and our emails within a day. They kept us informed about what day and time an agent or the workers would arrive at our house. All of the workers were polite, quiet and cleaned up around our house after the installation. During Logan's first visit, he used our monthly electricity bill to determine how many solar panels we would need to match or exceed what was provided by the Pedernales Electric Company (PEC). A drone was used to measure the different sections of our roof and their north/south orientations. With that information, Cristian Alexander suggested where the solar panels should be placed and how the electricity would be routed from the roof to the solar system monitor and our home's electrical panel; nevertheless, we had the final say. Because of the steep roof and our family arriving Christmas eve, the 39 solar panels and wiring were installed over a 3-day period. When the PEC solar inspector wanted a change in the wiring, Cristian convinced her that would not be necessary. Besides the final inspection, approvals of the solar system design by PEC and our HOA were facilitated by Freedom Solar Power.

Service by Freedom Solar Austin and Irving, TX

I had to have two SunPower panels replaced because they were damaged by animals and thus not warrantied. Freedom Solar expertly and efficiently replaced them at a reasonable price and re-commissioned my system. Importantly, Freedom Solar responded to my request for service, while another company assigned by SunPower itself did not. The quality of the service I received from the Freedom Solar Austin and Irving technicians was outstanding. So there is no confusion, some of the questions I must answer to complete and publish this review relate to sales and post sales support by SunPower. My answers to those particular questions do not reflect Freedom's performance - all Freedom support and service items are 5 stars.

Great Service on Two Solar Install Projects

I have had two solar panel installs - first at the end of 2017, then second project at end of 2019. I expect to be 'electric bill' free now going into retirement. Both installs went without any issues. The installers were professional and listened to my concerns. Sales also answered all my questions and follow-ups to wrap up the project. I would recommend solar for anyone in a high sunshine state and Freedom Solar did a great job for me.

Great experience

I chose them because I was referred by someone I trusted to do meticulous research, and they definitely delivered on everything they promised.

Phenomenal Solar experience!

We really enjoyed the whole solar installation experience! Everything from the sales presentation by Tony to the Survey by Christian, to the installation led by Trey and Brandon was awesome! It couldn’t have gone smoother!

Awesome

Great experience from sales to installation to customer service. Seamless, smooth, informative, competent, and dedicated. Thrilled to see my electric bill go down.

Fantastic all the way around

After doing a LOT of research, I went with Freedom Solar for a few reasons. Frankly, SunPower makes the best solar panels on the market (best durability, highest base efficiency, lowest efficiency loss in heat, lowest degradation over time), and they're very picky about who does their installs - from what I've seen there are only two licensed SunPower installers in Texas, and you can't buy these panels anywhere else. On top of that, the system is built on smart microinverters, so even if a panel or two are shaded they won't bring down the energy production of the other panels. Bonus on that, because they're smart devices, I can look at my energy production vs consumption with import and export quantities too from my phone or computer. Chris Mejia came out to give me an estimate, and he was kind, courteous, and thorough. And on top of that, he didn't just help me get a loan, he worked to get me the best rate. They took care of all the permits, the installation was completed in the time frame promised, and it looks great. Every part of the system was explained to me so I knew exactly how everything worked. Opportunities for questions were given frequently, but I never had any because of how well it was all explained. Chris also walked me through a couple energy provider plans that give net metering so that I can get real monetary value out of the energy I'm producing even when I'm not using it. Fantastic work all the way around, and I highly recommend Freedom Solar.

Great Panels and Excellent Installation Team

I finally decided to install Solar Panels after putting it off for years. Based on a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Zach Stirling at Freedom Solar. I was already interested in getting panels from SUNPOWER due to their high efficiency, durability, and efficiency over their entire life. Zach was verify informative in explaining what makes SUNPOWER better over their lifespan than less expensive panels. The rest of the Freedom Solar team was excellent as well. The process was well organized with members specializing in different roles. Once approved by the City of Austin, our home was fast tracked for installation as we did not have an HOA, and the panels were installed in a few days. Our longest wait was for inspection from the city and installation of the city meter. The panels look beautiful and have been performing great!

Harness the sun, Highly Recommended! Call Bob @ Freedom Solar

Completed my install about 4 weeks ago. More than living up to expectations. Robert Bradshaw @ Freedom Solar took care of EVERYTHING for us. Pretty amazing how super easy the process was. Give'em a call.

Excellent customer service, product and delivery!

Freedom Solar has exceeded all expectations in my quest for solar. My search for solar included five different providers in my area, but after meeting Robert Bradshaw at their showroom my choice was clear. Robert gave me an objective overview of the market and really helped me understand the differences in the products available. And once I made my decision, he ensured I had the best experience possible from start to finish. Thank you Robert!

Excellent experience

The solar installation experience with Freedom solar was a breeze. Robert from sales, Ryan, David, Ben, Jade and entire crew were thorough and professional in their work! Sun power panels are one of the best in the industry. Definitely recommended!

Tony from Freedom solar was very knowledgeable about the panels and what was best needed for my home. The panels do not distract from my home decor and I am pleased with the outcome.

Great experience all around, shopped around but freedom is the only solar company that had what I wanted. We had a rather large installation and it took about 4 days but everything went great from start to finish

Great service, great product!

Going solar is a big decision. James and the rest of the team at Freedom Solar provided us with the information we needed to make this decision. The communication during the entire project was outstanding and the people were incredibly friendly! We are very happy with our system and have even gotten compliments on how it looks on our roof!

With no pressure at any moment, James Govea with Freedom Solar was able to respond all my questions, work with me through the decision process, attentive and professional. His deep knowledge of the Sunpower solar panels and everything related to the installation process guided and supported me at all times. I would recommend buyers to include loan options you can find by yourself in addition to the ones offered by the Sunpower dealer. My system is up and running my super efficient X-series panels look very elegant in my roof. I am proud to have purchased Made in USA solar panels the best of quality, efficiency and warranty, thanks Freedom Solar/James Govea

Great solar company

After sitting with several solar companies, I choose Sunpower by Freedom Solar Power based on the quality and warranty of their products. From start to finish the whole experience was seamless and the team I worked with was excellent. I am very happy with my system and would recommend SunPower to anyone looking into Solar.

Freedom Solar installation was efficient and professional

We had our SunPower solar photovoltaic system installation by Freedom Solar Power completed last month (March 2019), despite a delay due to a new HOA transitioning from the developer. Freedom Solar worked with us the whole way ensuring not only the panel planning and installation steps were conducted professionally and efficiently, but the permits and agreements with the city, HOA, and Oncor were completed smoothly to include guidance on a power provider and plan after the installation. We enjoy looking at the SunPower app (application) on our smart phone to view the amount of solar power generated by our system. We will include the solar investment tax credit of 30% in our 2019 taxes. We definitely recommend Freedom Solar Power to everyone wanting solar energy.
