If they come to your door - tell them to kick rocks
Prior to the panels being installed they were in relatively constant communication. After they get installed, that's when the communication stops. My issues started in March of 2022 after they were installed. I had a go live date of roughly June 2022, that day came and went. I made numerous calls into the support and finally got someone that elaborated on the issue. Turns out the inspectors for the city of Nampa ID wanted to verify the brackets used for the panels which is apparently common. They ended up removing several panels on a Thursday and leaned them up against my house outside my fence, the inspection was on a Monday. I think the worst part about this was that a single guy was doing the removal/reinstall, so he hauled those heavy panels up/down the ladder on his own, not safe. I finally got PTO 8/23/22, their portal tells you someone will call to walk you through powering it on. After a couple days there was no call so I called in, apparently this is not the case, no one will call the customer, the customer must call in. Finally got it activated on 9/26/22, and it was humming along until 10/3 when it just stopped working. I'm glad I was looking at it daily otherwise who knows how long it would have gone without being noticed. Called in when I noticed it, the rep opened a ticket with their monitoring team to investigate. I called in the next day to get an update, apparently the inverter was bad and needed to be replaced but with supply chain issues I was looking at 1-2 months, I requested a tech come out and verify the issue; they said no, not without the inverter in hand. Throughout October and November I called in numerous times to get updates on the status, every time it was the same thing "no update on the replacement, and no we won't send a tech without having the inverter". I requested multiple times to speak to a supervisor/manager, they said someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I never received a callback. I finally got someone that ended up giving me more info than he probably should have, but he told me the inverter was never ordered because a tech had not come out to verify the issue first. I'll be honest I was dumbfounded at that point but I requested a supervisor and refused to wait their usual 24-48 hours. The call ended up "dropping" so I just gave up on customer service at that point as I didn't want to wait another hour or so to speak to someone. I then posted an update on their Facebook page, while also posting a review to the BBB about my experience so far. Turns out you get a response rather quickly when you do one or both of these things. I was eventually assigned a case owner and we communicated via email and a few calls. As an FYI though they will hide any negative feedback on their Facebook page but this route seems to be the quickest way to get something going. A tech finally came out in late December and verified that the inverter was hooked up incorrectly so it ended up getting fried. It was replaced about a week later and has been producing power ever since. I was advised I would get reimbursed for my loss of service, but we'll see how that goes as it's a power generation guarantee and based on their quoted yearly MWh production. I was guaranteed to produce 10 MWh per year, I'm currently at 9.48 MWh lifetime. This has to be initiated by you and is a 12 month rolling window from when you start producing power. This of course requires the customer to call in or maybe an email to support to initiate this and apparently can be done yearly. Lastly I will say when it works it works, you just have to deal with a lot of BS along the way, and if you have any issues and need to call into support be prepared for a long tedious battle.

The worst company I have ever dealt with in any capacity. Nothing but lies and shady underhanded business practices. Free electricity ? I get it, sounds great and originally I was on board with it all I wanted was one thing, a roof pentation warranty, which they said they had. Im not going to let you put a 120 holes in my roof without warranting that. They said they warranty that but fail to produce that in writing, lie.

Not a Pre-approval then Ghosted
Same story as many other people. They had me sign what was made to seem like a pre-approval. I backed out of the process as soon as my roof didn’t pass inspection. They set me up with a $19,000 loan through the third party company, and the salesman never replied to any of my messages. To think I let the guy pet my animals, how rude. Called “Mosaic Solar” to have my loan cancelled.

Incompetent Project Management
This has been an awful experience. I was enthusiastic at first and even recommended Freedom Forever to others, but I would not wish my experience on an enemy. The story below is long. The TL/DR is that Freedom Forever dropped the ball for 3 months and counting during the hottest months of the year, when I need solar power the most. My installation began on May 22. It failed the city inspection on June 8 a label was missing. That was corrected and it passed inspection on June 14. I thought that was good news. Unfortunately, someone in Freedom Forever left the ticket open and it stopped all progress on my project. I emailed a photo of my unit with the city's approved sticker on July 5. I received an email back promising action. It never happened. I followed up again on August 24. That's when I learned that about the open ticket. What was the open ticket for? They needed a photo of my unit showing it had the required labels! I told the rep about the previous photos, but he said they needed to send someone from the Schaumburg office and promised it would be done within 72 hours and promised to call me the next day. The photo was not taken and I received no call. So I called again the next day and spoke to another rep. They told me they could see the note about coming out, but the ticket was still open. There was nothing they could do. Finally one of the reps reached out to the electrician by chat. She did not get a reply immediately, but promised to call me back the next day she was scheduled to work (4 days later). That call never came. On Sep 12 I took my own photos (again), emailed them. I called three times that day to ensure that these pics would close the ticket. During my last call I finally asked for a supervisor. He told me that PTO requests take week and he would call me back on Sep 19. He called back today and told me he meant 7-10 days, so we are still on time. (Yep, on time three months late.) The root cause of this problem is that their management software is inflexible. Once a ticket is in place, it puts a hold on everything and the customer cannot do anything to move the process along. The only people that I can to talk to are in customer service. A contributing cause is that custormer service has no power to actually do anything. They cannot close a ticket or compel action by other departments. They can only send a note or chat, but those did not lead to action, at least in my case. I have contacted customer service nine time since August 24. I was promised a call back six times but only received my first call today and during that call he just changed the timeframe he had given me a week before. It leaves me with the feeling that the customer service department exists to run interference for the rest of the company. The contract has a "guaranteed completion date" when the unit would be ready for testing, but the way Freedom Forever regards that clause, it is almost meaningless. Freedom Forever says it means that the unit will be physically ready for testing. However, the utility will not perform the testing until Freedom Forever submits the paperwork. As far as I am concerned, my unit is not "ready for testing" because they have not applied for PTO.

They tried to take the money and RUN
I had a sales rep call and speak to me on the phone and I agreed to a quote. During the quote process they also recommended getting pre-approved for the solar financing so that if we decided to move forward, it would be ready...made enough sense at the time. I applied for what the sales rep told me was a pre-approval on a solar loan through a third party company. We decided not to move forward with the project and let our sales rep know right away. Turns out it the loan paperwork was not for a pre-approval, and the sales rep had the bank move forward with the loan and disperse all of the funds to Freedom Forever. I now have a full solar loan showing on my credit report and I have zero solar panels on my house. I called the customer service team and they said that this happens really often because the sales reps just push loans forward and then disappear "all the time", they filed a ticket and that I "should" see the loan close out within 90 days. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone for any reason ever.

Company is a joke
Sales guy was great and then it all went down hill. I will start by saying we chose this company bc they offered a zero percent and zero payments for a yr financing plan. Seemed like a good way to pay off interest or have a break from the high fpl bills. We were under the impression from the great sales guy that this was a quick process where they handled hoa, permits, etcetera(not true). Put the panels on in April. We had minor issues with scheduling but no big. Had no idea why they were so rushed to get them on but we wanted to move quickly so we were all for it. Found out later it was so we would be contracted and stuck through all their chaos. It’s now September and we still don’t have solar turned on. We have had to get involved with the permitting because they didn’t read the responses and just kept going back and forth for a month. Had to get involved in the hoa. We call wait for an hour and still get all different answers and excuses. Also our sales guy stopped answering calls, texts, and emails. We were told he left the company. Once we needed to do something, he appeared. So long story short the company is very unprofessional and difficult to work with.

Solar panels and Tesla battery
We are very happy with our solar panels and battery. Salesman, Ryan Stilwell, was the best. He said he would be with us every step of the way and he was! The installers came on time and did what they came to do. No problems at all. I highly recommend Freedom Forever!

A Mess/Rip Off
We purchased our house with the panels already installed. The remaining balance on the loan was over $40K. We needed a new roof installed and this was part of the purchase agreement. The previous owner contacted Freedom Forever to do the R&R. They did the removal and neatly stacked the panels in a pretty good spot but just left all the conduit all over our yard and there are clips we are still finding randomly all over our yard. Well, they did not secure the panels and a wind storm knocked the first few panels over and we reported this through their ticketing email. When it came to re-install the panels they would not come do this until the R&R was paid in full. Mind you, this money is in an escrow account and cannot be released until the contractor completes the work. We went round and round for months with Megan Nielsen at Freedom Forever. She was very impolite and naive in the matter. Somehow after contacting every Freedom Forever c-level and legal member I could find on LinkedIn, they were scheduled to come out to re-install them after 3 months.

The worst service ever
If I could I will give zero star to this company. My new solar system started on January 2023 and only worked for 2 months. The system suddenly went off on March. Freedom turned it on but since then the system never works properly. The production dropped by about 70%. They used different excuses to refuse to fix the problem keeping telling me there is no problem with the system. Freedom forever is the worst choice I made.

Company deserves a class action lawsuit
Purchased home with complete solar system installed in Oct. 2021 by previous owner, who unfortunately fell for their sales tactics. System went down within 6 months of buying the house, and the company has not bothered to even contact me. I initiated numerous calls to customer service, all of which ended up nowhere, with ever new excuses coming from them. I have been paying for my power for two months now, and there is no end in sight. I'm going to consult with lawyer, as I see no other option at this point.

System not producing as contracted
I'll give them one star for getting the install done as planned, however, since then the system has failed to produce the contracted amount of energy for 3 of the 5 years i've had the system. Everytime it's the inverter that is the issue. After 7 months and multiple follow ups, submitting multiple documents, etc, Freedom Forever finally responded and noted a clause in the contract that they are not responsible if the inverter doesn't work. What?... I bought a solar SYSTEM from Freedom Forever and that included the inverter. I didn't get to chose which one or have any say in this, so how do I know it's not a cheap, undersized device? I can see it breaking once in that timeframe... but not three times! ... and it take months for anyone to notice and fix it. I paid for a solar SYSTEM to produce at least X amount of energy per year... and because part of that SYSTEM breaks Freedom Forever won't make it right. I would not work with this company ever again or reccomend to anyone.

Not a reliable company.
This company has the worst customer service and I do not write many reviews. But I am tired of not getting any help and the system is normally down during the months of May through September. I also use up our credits due to this problem. My electric bills are high during the summer and this should not be tolarated by any body who complains about this in their reviews. Our system went down in 2021 and 2023. All I want is it to be corrected or replased with a new or updated system. May be a chance for a class action law suit.

Complete Incompetence and Carelessness
The team that installed my panels blasted sexually explicit music all about “sucking” and “f***ing” that could be heard throughout our house and neighborhood. Maybe this is one of the company’s misguided marketing tactics? They didn’t even have the decency or awareness to turn it off/down when I was out with my eight and ten-year old sons walking past them. I had to ask them to turn it off. Then, after the installation, the company demanded payment for a service that was never rendered. They stated if the money wasn’t payed, the system would be shutdown. I provided them with evidence that they never provided the service. They begrudgingly managed a half-okole apology. But then two months later they demanded money for the same imagined service, and I had to provide the same evidence again. Customer service is painfully slow and disinterested. When they answer the phone, they sound like they have just woken-up from a month long medically induced coma. You will likely get more reaction and assistance from your pet rock. Avoid this company like the plague!

Don't do it
First couple years they tried to make it right - system had to be traded out once. We rarely get any production during the months we need it most. When we complain, they have us send in a years' worth of electric bills and then send us a nominal amount to compensate for any differences. This year when we complained, they said they reviewed, and we are receiving what we were promised. How can that be when we were sold we would benefit most in the worst months of the year. I honestly believe we will never ever get our money out of solar. $35,000 - truthfully, we did get a rebate on our taxes - but still, we will never get our money out of it let alone any savings. Our bill for August was $733.26 and NO solar was produced? How is this possible? We got the most in the months of January - April. We are in Las Vegas. Just awful.

First off--STAY AWAY! It has been since March of 22 that I signed the contract--to date (August 21, 2023) still no service. Panels were installed in September of 22. Customer service is non existent. They no longer respond to emails. I filed a BBB complaint as well as CSL Board complaint--and it appears many other have done so as well. How do they stay in business? I spoke with "Zach" who said he was a supervisor (took months of phone calls to get to him), and he said he would look into it and get back to me on Friday August 25--I doubt he will. Have contacted an attorney to get panels removed and roof restored to original.

Submitted my information to Edison incorrectly and 4. Didn't anwer the phone with Edison finally DID call and 5. FORGOT about my project. Then, after calling, calling and calling my project was fianlly completed and turned all. The hold up was the invertor, which HAS GONE BAD AFTER 6 MONTHS. I was promised a $1000 rebate for a referral, which I did refer someone. It took me months to get it because my saleman LEFT and was never heard from again. I had to prove that I was told I would get this rebate....thank god I saved the text message. I was issued the check, finally, but then 4 days later Freedom Forever WITHDREW THE MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT. I have now been fighting with them to get it back. The NEVER call back, even though they promise that they will. I wish I NEVER went with these people. I am currently waiting for a new invertor, and having to pay both my Freedom Forever bill AND Edison because the panels are not working. I called and was told that it was not Freedom Forever's fault...so I still have to pay both. I guess it's MY FAULT?

Service and equipment quality
After getting the equipment installed in 2021. Initially they were extremely delayed in installing. We paid the first installment on the equipment well before we had seen any equipment. We were promised a reimbursement of that payment, which never happened! (1st Red Flag)!! After 1 year, the cellular card in the Solar edge inverter had a systemic failure and took a couple months of calling and waiting to get a technician out to end up just switching out the inverter. At least it was producing power! Four months later, complete failure of the inverter! Constant idle mode, No production for five weeks and counting! Hottest time in Texas and now we pay for full electricity and on broke-ass crappy equipment and get BS excuses why FF cannot get it fixed! ("We are remotely troubleshooting" For 4-1/2 weeks???)!! After nothing short of 10 separate calls to support line with an average wait of 30 minutes and the possibility of waiting for a call back, We finally had to threaten with our attorney contacting them to get a BS appointment the following Saturday before 9am with a tech call prior to arrival, came and gone. Contacted support and service coordinator, support said appointment was from 8am-10am. No response from coordinator! 10am came and went, no call or tech! Contacted support once again. She messaged tech who said he was stuck on current job and will be here 12:45 pm. No phone call from tech to communicate issue. She gave my number to tech to contact me.(He already was supposed to have my number!!) And here we sit wasting half of the day waiting without any communication, for a repair that was due a month ago!! If you are looking for a solar solution, look somewhere else! This company is the worst for communication, product, customer service, and overall customer satisfaction! RUN, RUN AWAY!!!

They pull out at second mortgage in your name with your house up for collateral. Then they come back to you saying that you'll get less solar coverage than they promised. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! We cancelled at this point. Called the sales rep and he assured us of cancellation. Called freedom to make sure of cancellation. Their customer service is designed to confuse you. They talk alot about sending out a ticket to this department and that department. Anyways, flash forward to six months later and I'm still having to get my project cancelled. And I still have a 30 THOUSAND dollar loan on my credit report that the bank won't remove until freedom sends them confirmation of cancellation and gives them their money back.
