No service?

EHS installed our solar panels in May, 2024. At the same time, they installed our A/C and heating system. All was well for about a year, and then I had an issue with the heat. I called — no answer. I must have left six or seven voicemails and got no return call. Finally, I called another independent heating service. A year later, again, a problem with the heat. I called EHS. At least someone answered. A very nice woman informed me that no manager was available to review my warranty because they were ALL at an off-site training session. All of them. I expressed my frustration, told her this was my second disappointing experience with EHS. She sympathized and the. Added that they actually no longer offer service to their systems, but they will offer warranty service, hence the need for someone to review my watt see if I qualify for some help. Since the install was about 18 months ago, I apparently do NOT qualify — so why not just tell me that? I called an outside heating and cooling company. I made it clear to EHS that I was unhappy and I would be letting people know what my experience had been.

Efficient home services do not honor there warranty. They are very evasive and do not respond and give support after installation

1st review after owning for 4.5 years

I was excited to get a solar system installed but after it was installed there was a lack of communication and won't get into that. Owning now for over 4 years my savings is not what I expected it to be. I own about a 1950 square foot home with an upright freezer and two refrigerators. As well a few small fridges that are not on often. One 3 ton air conditioner with an additional high efficiency mini split for the bedroom and a triple head system for the back three bedrooms. Also a mini split for the shed. Now you might say that is a lot of AC but in fact it is high efficiency and not all the mini splits work all of the time. We have a very small pool pump. Last year I spent $2,851.53 on electricity and paid for my solar system $62,000.00 back in 2019. January's FPL bill was 358.47. So the pay back is decades and yes I am sure I am getting some relief it my yearly FPL bill but to be honest it is not all what it is cracked out to be and $62,000.00 certainly can pay for a lot of electricity over the next several tears in addition to what I am paying now. My honest opinion I am not impressed so be ware what you buy into. I'm stuck with it and the only person that will benefit is the next person that buys my house. The problem is I don't want to sell so I am stuck with it.

Not what I was promised

I first came into contact with EHS in May of 2018.2 gentleman came to my house and inspected its energy usage and recommend a 10Kw ground mounted solar array consisting of 44 panels. The contract I signed also included 2 new A/C units. Solar pool heating and replacement of my old water heater with a new instant hot water system. Remember this was in May and I was promised my existing electricity bill would be completely covered by the 10Kw solar array and I would only have a small meter rental charge to pay. They also promised me they would. Monitor the system and refund any money that I had paid to FPL if the panels didn't cover my usage. The instant hot water heater was installed in August, the ne A/C units in September and the solar heating in December. Repeated calls regarding the status of the solar array install were answered with we are waiting on permits. I think we "waited' until late January and solar panel installation started in mid February. And was completed by early Marxh when I started paying for the system but it didn't pass inspection until June 19th 1919 when it was turned on. From the start the arrays have only ever covered 50% of my electricity usage and this was pretty obvious. I contacted EHS in late 2019 and told them but they said they were monitoring it and we would like at the usgae oce a full year had passed which was June 2020. Well I contacted them and was asked to. Send copies of my EHS bills which I did twice with no follow up from them. After repeated phone calls they told me that the contract was for 10KW of panels and that's what I got so I had no recourse. I don't have a copy of my contract is was all signed via IPad and I don't think I ever had a physical hardcopy. Nonetheless I feellike EHS have not lived up to thier end of the agreement the same agreement that is plastered all over their website that they will take care of any differance in the FPL bill and the amount of power created. On top of all that the system was out Sept, Oct last year as the inverter failed and they had to order a new. One and now I see I have almost a 3rd of my panels are not currently producing power at all. I will call them on Monday.
