Certasun

Smooth and Satisfactory Experience

The Certasun team was organized, responsive and communicated well the progress and scheduling of the installation. The system started up and has worked well in the first couple of weeks. The hit all their committed timelines.

Fantastic experience

I just want to say that I have received top notch service with Certasun. I wanted to wait on my review for 6 months now. I had four different quotes and Certasun was the least amount of games played. As a busy person in life, I don't have time for games. I would highly recommend this company for solar.

Great Company

I was looking into going solar since beginning of 2021 and did my research with 5 different companies, ultimately I decided to go with Certasun due to the great presentation and explanation of the entire process and the difference between their competitors. The whole process went smoothly, from the signing of document to setup of payments but what I was most impressed about was how professional and careful the installation team was when they arrived to install the 19 panel system we purchased. This shows that the company cares about repeat business and to have a great reputation as they sent a very knowledgeable and professional installation team.

great experience

I quoted my solar about a year ago. The whole process has been great from communication of all the steps before installation date, post installation, a heads up when I will receive my state rebate (which they filed for me). No issues with the system or the ap. I hope filing for my federal rebate will be easy.

Excellent

Ordered on the end of December 2020, and was guaranteed to get state solar rebate. Installation was planned and performed on March 2021, it took 2 days. Also they do paperwork to get all the rebates from state and city.

We had 31 panels installed on our roofing in August. Every thing was done in a professional manner, the electricians and panel installers did a fantastic job! We are enjoying the savings on our electric bill!

Installed on time no issues

Sales was helpful, installation was as promised, no change in price.

From the introductory meeting; to the system design; thru permitting and on to system installation; then rebates and system checks; and once the system was operational, an app on our phone showing solar production data: at every step in the process, all our questions were promptly answered. Every staff person with whom we interacted was capable, knowledgable, helpful. A solar advisory sent regular updates throughout the process. CertaSun installs SunPower systems. We highly recommend both installer and system. We did our homework, interviewed several installers and asked many questions about the panels and systems they install, asked other people about their solar system. We made a good choice and we are very happy.

Great experience working with Certasun; Goy the done efficiently

Great experience working with Certasun Goy the done as promised And the Solar panels are working efficiently

Easy Solar

Certasun made the process of getting solar panels incredibly easy. They did so much of the leg work - and only involved us when they really needed to. The installation took a couple of days, and so far, about a month later, everything has been working great. The consultations were very informative, and they helped us understand the tax credits we would be getting. After install - we got an app that allows us to monitor our electricity usage and solar power generated, which is really cool to see.

The installation team was professional, neat, and through. The installation was completed within the given timeframe. The entire process from consultation to completion was handled well. I am very please with their service.

Experience with solar purchase and installation

I received bids from 3 solar vendors for purchase and installation. Certasun was the most professional and transparent of all three vendors. The other two vendors would not provide written information to assist me in doing a thorough comparison. Certasun representatives answered all my questions about cost, rebates, warranties and time lines for installation. Certasun has it's own installers whereas the other vendors did not. I found that the other vendors had too many layers of persons I had to deal with, while I dealt with only two persons at Certasun and all of my questions were dealt with promptly. All and all lines of communication and accountability were much clearer with Certasun. The installation was smooth and inspection with minor adjustments necessitated by changes in the building codes. The installation was thoughtful in terms of the placement of the panels and looks super. I am very satisfied with the professionalism of all three phases, sales/purchase, process coordination leading up to installation, and the installation itself.

Excellent Product, Service and People

We were so impressed with the Certasun people and the products they installed. Thank you Certasun!

Lovin solar

The experience from sales to installation was awesome. Everyone was friendly, informative and helped us through the process. Super easy and now we have solar!

Excellent Service and Competitive Pricing

Certasun was great to work with for our solar project. Excellent communication from initial discussion to the end of the process, with knowledgeable representatives who were always able to answer my questions. High quality products and in-house installation with great warranties for a very competitive price relative to other local vendors we got quotes from. Would strongly recommend meeting with this company if you are considering getting residential solar panels.

Certasun proved to be a believable and reliable installer and importantly Certasun is certified as an Illinois Shines installer. They are a Sun Power Elite dealer. After a thorough series of conversations with Bill in sales during which he pointed out pitfalls of a contractor I had already selected and my decision to cancel that contract, I appreciated all the more that selection of the "best" of the four solar contractors I was working with was no small task. Thanks to Bill's patience I decided to move forward with Certasun even as we entered a summer of uncertainty regarding Illinois legislative action on a clean energy bill which affected the Illinois Shines REC incentive. Bill assured me that Certasun would guarantee the incentive even if legislative action did not occur. As of Thanksgiving 2021, we have a fully functional Equinox system that was permitted, installed, inspected and connected to the grid. I appreciated the people-centric philosophy of the company evidenced even as I spoke to the president, operations coordinator, installation lead and team members, electrician and REC manager. This approach is welcome in a culture of Smart technology from phone apps to Smart metering. It can be alien territory until you catch your bearings and I appreciate the help of staff.

From the time I decided to go with Certasun until the the panels were installed and up and running Certasun was on top of every detail. From the sales staff to the installers Certasun demonstrated a high degree of professionalism. I did a lot of research and Certasun was hands-down the best value. I highly recommend Certasun. You won’t be disappointed.

Superb Service

Certasun engineered and install a full solar plus battery system for my Chicago home. Everything, from my interaction with sales reps to commissioning the system, was top notch. A few things stood out: 1) the sales rep Paul took a lot of time to explain the solar process and the options available to me, this gave me the confidence to compare/contrast other solar options before purchase; 2) Josh over-engineered the battery and electrical plans, and the install crew did a phenomenal job executing a very clean installation; 3) the final system exceeded my expectations for performance and visual elegance. I’ve already recommended Certasun to my neighbors. Thanks again!

Best provider to work with

I like everything in this company. The sales agent Bill Wayne was specific on equipment, installation times, system capacity, and savings estimates. It was a pleasure to work with him. Jeniffer coordinated the process smooth and hassle-free. She is very dedicated. The installation team - just awesome guys. We have an inner pipe going inside the house, which we tried to use to avoid the outer piping, however, there was an obstacle that did not allow us to do so. They were fine despite spending hour of their time on this trouble. The installation started at 8:00 am and was finished until 05:00 pm. Fast, professional, synergy-oriented teams, would definitely recommend to all I could possibly can. Well done!

Install was great!

The team was early, friendly and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. They committed to finishing that day and did so. Really please so far!

Great product and expertise

We’ve been very impressed with Certasun throughout the process and highly recommend them. The 2 main factors that made us choose Certasun was the specs of the panels and the expertise and service they guarantee. Compared to the other companies we received quotes from, Certasun provided a much more thorough evaluation of our needs, answered all our questions in detail, and stayed on top of the changing legislation in IL. We were really impressed with the specs and ratings of Sunpower panels so was happy that Certasun uses their products. We had our system installed a few weeks ago and are very happy we went with Certasun/Sunpower.

Certasun did an excellent job from A to Z

I was pleased with every element of this solar project. It started from the discussion with sales to answer questions and provide my proposal. Then to the communication during the process from site inspection to full installation. Everyone was on-time, accurate and professional. Then it ended with the electrician meeting our city inspector for final approval. All went smoothly. The only complaint was that I was only sent an email about how to access the monitoring APP, but was not given any instructions how to use it or what it means. Overall very happy.

Best product on the market

I chose them for the best production, support, maintenance and guarantees, their mounting system, designs and panels are the best you can get. With that however, they aren't very customer oriented or accurate, my plans were designed but in actuality the panels would not fit as planned, they had to be moved and when I the owner had concerns I was given BS excuses, straight up talking in circles. I like the look, so far the production is great and Im hoping I never have to actually deal with a person from the company again.

Certasun - Exhibits true professionalism

Right from Sales through completion of the project, Catia Conenna, Jennifer Rickel and Kathleen Falk was very friendly and shown highly professionalism and complete the project on time. I would refer Certasun to any friend in future happily with highest confidence.

Seamless experience

Very easy experience from start to finish with CertaSun. The online sales consultation was efficient and answered all of my questions. Subsequent site visits were convenient and timely. Installation took one day and went off without a hitch. Communication from the main office has been consistently clear and timely. My panels were installed a couple of weeks ago with inspection and activation about a week later. Still waiting on full connectivity for net metering, but, you know... ComEd. Obviously I've only had a very short experience with the array itself, but the process of getting it installed has been perfect. Pricing and power specifications were similar to quotes I obtained from other local installers. CertaSun hit all the milestones of the installation process (permitting, installation, inspection) well towards the front end of the estimates provided in the contract. I would definitely choose them again if I ever need another solar installation.
