Cannot go wrong with Boston Solar

I did not have a perfect experience with Boston Solar, not even close, and yet there is STILL no other company I would rather recommend to anyone considering solar than Boston Solar. They are not just one of the best, if not THE best, solar company out there, but I think they are one of the best COMPANIES, period. I've never experienced such care and attention to making sure I was fully informed at every step of the process, and that any and all problems were completely and thoroughly resolved, if not the same day, by the very next day. Projects of this size can rarely be executed perfectly - there is almost always a hiccup or two. But the best companies care deeply about their customers' satisfaction and take full ownership of any issues that come up, then work diligently and quickly to resolve them with as little disruption as possible to the project and the customer. This describes Boston Solar perfectly. Not only do they offer an excellent product and a compelling financial case (even to clients with a less-than-perfect site in terms of roof angle/slope, partial shading, etc), but they are really just a great group of professionals that is 100% focused on doing right by their customers. You will not regret going with Boston Solar.

Residential Solar Panels

Process was extremely easy. Competitive pricing. Boston Solar walked me through every step of the way and took care of all permits. Was able to get a system that produced more energy for less money when compared to other companies.

Boston Solar has been wonderful to work with from initial conversations to getting our system up and running. They are VERY responsive to any and all questions, and take the time to really educate you on everything every step of the way. They honor everything they say they will, and have even done some extra stuff for us outside of the panels (of course, we paid for it). I will recommend them to all of my friends that are thinking of going solar.

Knowledgeable, organized, responsive

Nice experience start to finish. Sales person knew his stuff, not just a pitch. Project manager was friendly and well-organized. They seem to have the process down. The installation crew was efficient and cleaned up well. The head electrician was particularly responsive, explaining the equipment and answering questions in detail.

I checked out a lot of solar company's and after 6 months researching with many estimates I called Boston Solar! Boston solar worked with me on my system and using the Massachusetts Solar solution. MSS work with companies and banks to make sure the install meets state standers for the customers. Boston Solar made the whole process very professional. The sales person knew the size system I needed, help me through the MSS to get my loan, system buy down it saved me 10,000. The system has a 25 year warranty on the system and production. Boston Solar is the only system to Have it. I liked the company so well I am going to help sale the product.

We had a number of companies come out to look at our property and give us estimates. But it wasn't until Bill Martin came from Boston Solar and offers us the best price and explains everything in details. Working with Boston Solar was a great experience from start to finish. From sizing to installation the whole process was smooth with no issues. If I ever have a question and call the company, they always there to help me. ZERO regrets - NONE!!

The entire process couldn't have gone better. From beginning to end, every person from Boston Solar was pleasant, informative, and always felt like I was their most important customer. We were hesitant to sign up, not knowing if the credits were as good as advertised but after running the numbers 1000 ways, I know it couldn't go wrong. We chose the LG black on black panels because they're on the front of the house and they virtually disappear on the black roof. Our neighbor didn't notice until after a month! I also appreciate the interactive app and website from SolarEdge to see the production real-time. Very cool overall. After the system was turned on, I noticed one panel wasn't producing and contacted Sana. She was able to see it on her end and sent the guys out right away. Unfortunately for them, it was 5 degrees outside, but they still got up on the roof and swapped out the bad optimizer. Is it worth it? Its clean energy at a cost next to nothing. Ask yourself - " Why not?" and then try to come up with a good answer.

Boston Solar is a great company to deal with from first contact through installation and after they have been attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating and passionate about what they do. I was presented with several product options, after their input and my decision they guided me through the incentives my state (MA) offered and loan options. I choose to purchase my system. As soon as all the paperwork was in order, my job was scheduled and they met or beat their timetable at every stage. Boston Solar is highly professional company helping their customers to install Solar System which is right for them. The sales process is streamlined and less painful. They do not pressure their customers unnecessarily and sensitive to their needs. Their engineers are expert in the solar energy field. They used top quality panels and inverter. Entire process from Sales to commissioning was seamless. Their technicians were very professional and courteous and took extra precautions to make sure that everything in the house remain in order. The project was completed on time and they had provided timely updates on the different stages of the project. They also provided post commissioning consultation if any additional question. Professional, knowledgable and affordable

Producing my own power for over a month now and absolutely no regrets. I researched and obtained quotes from 5 of the top Solar companies in my area. Boston Solar was the only company to explain the advantages of owning vs leasing. I am so happy I chose to purchase the system and to start generating income rather than paying the electric companies. They have their own installation crews, electricians, back office support and sales people -- a big factor in my choice. Boston Solar is a true professional company - the whole project went ahead of schedule and they included me in every step. Their price was mid level as compared with my other quotes. The all black LG panels look awesome on my roof, clean and neat as the roof vent was relocated so no "missing" panels. I would highly recommend Boston Solar if you are considering going solar - at least have a conversation with them, you'll be fully educated.

Happy with Boston Solar

Boston Solar was very responsive and professional throughout our sales and installation process. Pros: *They price-matched a "Solarize MA" price even though they weren't the selected installer. *The sales rep was very responsive and honest, answering the constant barrage of questions that I lobbed his way. *The installers that put the panels on the roof were among the most professional folks that I've ever dealt with. They came out for a pre-visit to talk about where I wanted conduit run and cables placed. During the 2-day install, they provided me with frequent updates about what they were doing and why. When they left, they cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell (other than the panels on the roof and other equipment on the house!) that they'd been there. *After the install, my questions continued and they continued (continue) to answer them in a professional and timely manner. Cons: *For some reason they installers left vehicles running the entire time they were here. *Communication about scheduling and general timing of milestones was handled poorly, and delays were _always_ blamed on someone else (me, the town's inspector) even when I knew that wasn't the case. *The second group of installers that came didn't consult with me about what they were going to do, resulting in unnecessary work being done and a last minute avoidance of an ugly PVC pipe going up the side of my house. They also didn't clean up as well, and I had to pick garbage out of my yard afterwards. I am overall very happy with the entire process. I feel that I was and am treated professionally by all of the Boston Solar employees with whom I interact.

Great experience with Boston Solar

Our experience with using Boston Solar was one that went professionally, smoothly and efficiently. The information given by our sales consultant was to the point, no sales pitch, just the numbers that showed why solar was for us. Our project manager was efficient and did everything to ensure a quick installation, quickly organized inspections and the electric company. The installation crew was very good. They worked fast but safe and kept the areas clean. We would highly recommend Boston Solar.

Great Experience So Far

We went with Boston Solar because they are a local company that uses their own crews for installations. The sales person was thorough and knowledgeable. There was some minor delay in getting everything going and communicating about things during the contracting process, but overall, we were happy with their service and professionalism. We were happy with the level of detail provided about both the financing options and the technology. Installation went quickly and the panels look great. There are a lot of steps between installation and getting the system running involving inspectors and the electric company and I felt like Boston Solar kept us updated and helped them go as quickly as possible. Really looking forward to generating lots of electricity!

Great experience

I cannot rave enough about Boston Solar. From the sales, to the service, to the installation, to the post installation service, everyone was great! They were all very transparent throughout the process letting me know the next steps. I had some delay, due entirely from my HOA, but Boston Solar was always in my corner. It felt great to feel like I had a team behind me. The sales team was great making sure I understood all the steps, which was very helpful since I knew nothing about solar before meeting with everyone. The free estimate was awesome. They walked me through the process and savings. Then moving forward I felt like I had a team at my disposal, it was awesome, every question I had someone was there to answer. The installation team was awesome! Friendly and efficient. They even sent someone out after installation to explain everything to me once more, just in case I forgot or didn’t understand prior to the system being on. I will highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

Wonderful experience with Boston Solar

Great experience from start to finish. The sales rep did a very thorough presentation and answered all of our questions. We consulted with a different solar company first and were much more impressed by Boston Solar. Communication from our project coordinator was very helpful throughout the process, and the installation went very smoothly. High level of professionalism all around, and the panels look nice and neat. Very impressed with these guys and highly recommend them.

Boston Solar Install in Chelmsford

Boston Solar was professional at every step of the process. From our initial sales meeting with John, and with our inside sales representative Sana, both kept me updated every step of the way. Install crew number 3 came out and did a wonderful install job. They even ran some of the wires inside my home to avoid unsightly connections up to the meter. I recommend them highly.

Solar array

After speaking with several solar installers, Boston Solar is hands down above the other as far as clearly explaining the entire process and verifying that you completely feel comfortable and understand how everything will take place and work. Speaking to other installers they were not able to answer some of the basic questions I had and new the answers too from doing my own homework. Just can't say enough about the great experience I have had dealing with them. Everyone should at least check with them before making their final decision.

Professional installation at its best

I had a 20K watt system installed 3 weeks ago and I could not ask for a better experience. From the beginning the Sales staff was great, no pressure just the information I needed. Customer support was always there, if they didn't have the answers they would get it in less than a day. Engineering and installation was topnotch, they filed for all permitting and inspections. If there was a snag it was resolved in hours not days. Thank you for a great job and saving me $400 dollars a month in electrical bills!

Boston Solar was professional at every step of the process. The sales rep who came to our house was informed and courteous. The sales folks, installers and technical staff all know their stuff. We were concerned about getting it all done by Jan 1 and they finished as promised. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
