Boston Solar

Boston Solar rules!

We shopped around, we approached some, some approached us. Once we learned we wanted to purchase instead of renting panels, it was a no-brainer, Boston Solar seemed the best to us. Their clear talking professionalism from the get-go was refreshing and going from not knowing anything about solar to making this decision needed lots of explaining. The paperwork process ALL handled each step along the way by their office was superb. Their tech teams that arrive and do the setup/installation were also great! I would and have highly recommend The Boston Solar company if one is heading down this road. Last 4 months my electric bill has been $0, with credit built up as well. With electric heat, that will not be the case over the next several months, but expect some relief. Oh, we received our first SREC check a few weeks ago, the process works as advertised with all the agencies/websites involved.

They were Great by me

These guys did the installation for my provider, Sungevity, back in March 2015. It was cold, there was snow and an ice dam on the roof. Yet they got the job done efficiently and within the window they predicted. During the installation I left. When I returned hours later I saw a crumbled gutter in my driveway. There was a brand new one next to it. The old one was attached with nails and it came off with the ice dam. They pointed out a small bit of rot in the fascia and asked if I wanted to hold off on installing the new one till it was repaired. I said no because the new gutter attached with screws and they put it up. The guys doing the electrical tie inhere neat and efficient as well. They custom bent the pipes to fit the house and honestly i thing I have the neatest installation of any I've seen. That's important to my wife who is esthetically attuned.

Solar review

I had many questions along the way and all answered and explained.

SOLAR PANELS

THE PEOPLE AT BOSTON SOLAR WERE EXTREMLEY EASY TO WORK WITH AND THE PANELS HAVE SAVED ME A LOT F MONEY!!!

Great Experience

Boston Solar installed our panels (part of a solar lease with Sunnova). The crew was great. They got the panels and meters installed in a day, the crew was professional and respectful of our property.

Solar Install

My experience with Boston Solar was simply terrific. When I called to inquire about the technology my call was returned promptly. I was asked a few questions and when the sales tech arrived at my house their proposal was complete, no wasted time. I contacted two other solar companies and spent almost 3 hours with each over the phone and in person and still did not have the information I wanted. The people from Boston Solar understand the key elements of doing business. If you are interested in using the power of the sun I strongly recommend contacting Boston Solar.

Solar Installation done in January

I was more than pleased with the installation done by Boston Solar. We had panels over our garage and our family room, at opposites of the house installed in January They made the connection between the two sides from inside the cellar. The install itself was completed in two days and they came back and they explained everything very well. We went live with the system in April and every month to date we have generated more electricity than we use, and we get a credit on our bill each month. We purchased our system, the payback is about 6 years, well worth it since we intend to be in this house for some time. Just a word to the wise, the process takes a while, from initial investigation of your house for solar, to install and the permits and inspections from various places like the city. Ours took about 7 months, but we were told upfront this would be the case. Patience is a virtue. We generate as much as 5.5 KW per hour when it is completely sunny; we have 18 panels at 250 watts each, info for the technical folks and seem to average 20-25 KWH per day.I could not be happier. I love the sun.

Boston Solar review

Very professional and high quality work. On time and with great communication.

Great company

A true company that stands behind their work.

Awesome Service!

The entire process even though it is lengthy was done in a very professional and timely manner. The crews who provided services from reinforcing the roof to final installation and turning on the system were awesome. Highly recommend Next Step Living & Boston Solar to any one interested in going "Green".

Great Company, Great Job!

When we had solar installed on our home, we were involved with multiple sub-contractors. New roof, tree removal, dumpster companies, and Boston Solar. Unlike some of the other subcontractors we dealt with, Boston Solar delivered. They involved us in the discussion regarding how and where the electrical connections could/would be run, allowing for a far better overall appearance of the system. The workers were professional and pleasant while completing an eye-appealing installation. After installation we had an issue with the internet reporting system and Boston Solar was right there to remedy the issue. I would and have recommended Boston Solar for anyone thinking of going solar. If you want the job done right Boston Solar is the way to go.

A very good experience

From the beginning, Boston Solar was a pleasure to work with. I was impressed with all of their people and the work they did. They were always on time and always helpful in answering my questions. They were flexible in considering all options and the final job was done to my satisfaction. Though the required involvement of my town and Eversource took time, Boston Solar handled their pieces of the project efficiently and effectively. Team members coordinated well with each other and kept me informed. I would recommend them without reservation to anyone considering a solar energy system.

going solar

Boston solar was a great company to work with they answered all my questions in a timely manner very professional. The system works just as the said it would. They were on time completed all work when scheduled and for the price quoted. Easy company to work with looking forward to many years with my solar system.

Quick, Clean, and Efficient

We had Boston Solar install our solar system in the fall of 2014. They were here on time, were quick, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The lead installer was professional, answered my questions and concerns and was able to help me understand what was going to happen step-by-step. They made the seams as invisible as possible with regards to piping and any boxes that were visible from the outside. They did a fabulous job. We would definitely recommend them.

Great Job

Boston Solar did a excellent job installing my Solar array. They got there when they said they would be and worked around the ridiculous amount of snow still piled up from the winter. Friendly and professional.

Go For It

Boston Solar performed as they promised, came to the house to assist in moving equipment when we re-sided the house, followed up every question, guided us through the SREC Trade procedures and, I believe, remains at our side should we ever need service and/or guidance.

most professional

I interviewed 3 solar companies. Although Boston Solar was not the provider, as the installer they are fantastic. They did everything i asked them to. Their crew were fast and professional. The attention to detail was what i appreciated the most.

Solar Panel Installation

The whole process from sales to installation and commissioning was outstanding. The sales process was direct and informative providing all the information to make an informed decision. A fantastic refreshing approach. All the engineers turned up on time to complete the work, often in cold conditions. They explained the work and made sure that the installation was carried out to a very high standard to leave a very professional looking installation. This is the number one Solar Company.

Great experiences here!

I have nothing but good to say about my experience with Boston Solar - from the booking and confirmation process, on up through execution - they showed up when they said they would, the flexed around my schedule, their work was quick and clean and considerate, and everything was done on time, on budget, and better than I would have expected. Really, it was the booties. These guys were all about their booties and keeping our house relatively clean. Which wasn't a huge concern with me, I have kids - but still, the attention to detail is very much appreciated!

Install at 45 Schofield Ave, Dudley, MA

I visited with many solar companies before I invited Boston Solar to go on my roof. Obviously there are many choices out there and I feel like I made the right choice with Boston Solar. From the professional engineers who climbed on my roof to ensure structural integrity to the sales staff who walked me through the investment side of my purchase, the company performed at a very high level. The solar array is now installed and generating electricity. I cannot say enough about this company and the people they employ to represent them. If you are looking to have solar installed on your roof, do yourself a favor and at least meet with the Boston Solar team as part of your due diligence if you have not already.

Great installation crew!

Boston Solar was the installer for Trinity Solar. The installation crew of Boston Solar was extremely professional. They had great communication informing me of all the steps of the installation processed. The was very courteous and clean!

7.0 SunPower System Installed

The team was great and very professional. They walked us through the entire process and made it very simple. We liked that they used high quality materials (SunPower) and that the team was very thorough and knowledgeable about the product. Our installation was slightly delayed due to some of the panels being back ordered, but the team kept us apprised of the situation. I would highly recommend The Boston Solar Company to anyone looking to install panels. These guys are top of the line!

Gloucester Solar Install

Our house had the perfect solar angle for roof installation. So glad we did it!

I Recommend Boston Solar

My previous review was solely on an incompetent former employee of Boston Solar, not on Boston Solar Co.!! In fact, Boston Solar Co. has since taken very positive actions to rectify the problems: (1) The employee who had caused the problems was disciplined. Ensuring it will not happy again. (2) Boston Solar has deployed HIGHLY qualified technicians to correct the installation issues: (I) corrected the drain pipe flow of one of the indoor unit. (II) leveled the unleveled compressor unit; (III) Corrected the compressor terminal shielding; explained why some terminals are unshielded. Boston Solar has demonstrated and acted as a caring and responsible company, very competent and proud of what they do. I am a very happy customer, and would be happy to be a referral!!
