From start to finish American Sentry Solar was very professional and reliable. The installers were on-time professional and efficient. After they were done everything was cleaned up and I couldn't even tell that they have been there. The staff has handled all the paper work for the permits rebates etc. and the rebates have started coming it. We have received the first bill (only for 10 days) and it was right in the ball park as estimated by the salesperson'. So far we are very pleased that we have done this .

Wonderful Experience

They made this process easy! They explained everything and detail and kept me abreast of the progress. The installers made fast work of my panels and finished so soon I decided to go into work since it was so early. They quickly submitted the paperwork to get my panels and meters approved so I could start benefiting from them. American Sentry Solar prefilled all the grant paperwork so I only needed to sign and mail. I would strongly recommend them to any looking to invest in solar panels. Their app is amazing and I look keeping an eye on my production. They are responsive and do great work!

Go Solar Power!

On July 18th BGE switched out my meter and a couple days later I was able to turn on my solar panels! The Job is complete and I've officially gone solar! The process took about three months from sales Pitch to turning on my solar panels To be honest, I was not planning to go solar just yet I just wanted to learn more about it I'm glad I made the decision. It all began on April 27th, Larry was very knowledgeable during the salespitch sharing quite a bit about the microinverters and the various programs I'd be eligible for. He conveyed the message that ADB is a good company and will get the job done professionally and conveniently at a reasonable price. Larry was initially really pushing for me to make a decision right after the sales pitch but I was able to take a bit of time to think it over and decided that this is something I can actually do. I signed the contract on 5/2/18 and from there I was happy to find that they kept their promises. They handled the permits, the install was scheduled at at a time that was convenient for me. They came out an installed the solar panels on 6/24/18. They were on time, the panels look good, they cleaned up after themselves, and they were very courteous and professional. while I awaited the inspection by the county and the changing out of the meter by BGE. They filled out the AA County property tax credit paperwork and the Maryland R-CEGP grant paperwork including providing envelopes to mail them out. All I needed to do was review, sign, and mail. They even emailed over the registration application for SRECS. They made the whole process really convenient and painless…I am a satisfied customer.

Quick and efficient installation. Now that the system is up and running, it is delivering as promised. Today the final patchwork of the sheet rock in the garage was completed. Can't tell where the original openings were, that's how goos a repair job was done.

Solar installation

I was intending to just shop around and get a quote to see if solar was the right thing for me and much to my pleasure, my sales rep was extremely educated and showed me all the details. I decided to move forward with the process and everything was five star. Literally from beginning to end, I was extremely impressed with their professional approach. The instal was clean and efficient and they maximized my space. Than getting the permits and paperwork completed for me to just sign and send to local and federal gov. Everything was easy and simple to understand. This company is the real deal and I very much enjoyed the experience. 5star all the way.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end!

After trying for months to get in contact with someone from Tesla, I did a quick search for local solar ompanies and found American Sentry Solar. Larry came right to our house the very next week and worked out all the details with us. From that moment I knew we made the right decision in going with a local company. Once the installation was started, it only took three days to complete. They take care of preparing ALL of the paperwork, financing, installation, applying for the permits and rebates, as well as getting BGE to change over your meter. I can’t say enough great things about American Sentry Solar! I will highly recommend them to everyone.

New solar customer

The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because there's always room for improvement. The guys who came to install my panels were fantastic. Wasn't even sure if they were going to be able to keep to schedule due to the rainy season in Maryland. They came by sat in there trucks whie the last drops fell and started on installation of the panels. Luckily the rain did not return that day. They were polite, engaging, professional, and with the exception of the new solar panels on the roof you would have never known they were here. The panels have been on for just a little over 2 weeks. I look forward to my next utility bill. Thanks again to American Sentry Solar.

New installation

I just had 25 panels installed today. The installers were on time, polite, and professional. It took less time than I thought it would. The installation looks neat and sleek. I am very happy so far. I will update my review after the system has been up and running for a while.

Great company to do business with

We enjoyed working with these people. They show up on time and they always return phone calls promptly. Their workmen were professional and enthusiastic about their work. They found a way to run the electrical wiring from the panels through the roof of my indoor arena so we would not have to see them running across the outside of the roof. We have 30 panels in a long row on the arena's metal roof. It is so great to see the electric meter running backwards on sunny days!

Very Happy Customer

The entire process was seamless. The representatives we worked with (Jacob Ballas and Gailan Wensil-Strow) were completely professional, friendly, and extraordinarily helpful every step of the way. All work was performed and completed as promised right down to manually submitting a Residential Electric Consumption Calculator when the power company initially disapproved installation because of skewed usage data. I put great stock in businesses that communicate in an efficient and timely manner with attention to quality and clarity. This has been our experience with American Sentry Solar, from the on the roof technician all the way to the President, Mr. Joseph Tunney. We received our authorization to go live as of yesterday and are looking forward to seeing if our investment in renewable energy is as we had hoped. Well done, American Sentry Solar! Thank you!

Great Communication

We have just had our panels installed so have not been able to turn them on yet while we wait for BGE. But I can attest to their customer service as being excellent. Phone calls were returned promptly as were emails. Questions were answered in full. All the workmen involved with the installation were polite, considerate of my gardens, and also answered all my questions. They have led us through this process and made sure that there were no other questions on our part. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

5 Months and Very Happy

We had these installed the end of Nov 2017. Have been very impressed so far with the output I get from them. Can't wait to see how they do in the summer. My last BG&E bill was the minimum $8.xx which is the least BG&E can charge. My other monthly BG&E bills have been reduced to about 1/5th of what they were prior to the solar panels going up. My roof does not have a steep pitch, so when we got snow they were covered for a couple of days, so I got no minimal output then. Other than that I love them. American Sentry Solar was very professional with everything, from the sale to the installation.

Everyone with whom we dealt at the company was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous and the product is amazing. We are now up and running in time for the peak of solar season and we are already seeing this purchase pay dividends with regard to our electric bill!

Here Comes the Sun and a job well done

The final step is done and the job is complete. The workmanship looks great. Our Solar System has been running since April 24th. Our meter is running backwards! Every step of this process was handled competently by the good people at American Senty Solar. There were a lot of steps to be coordinated but American Sentry did all of it. It made the process quite easy. Lots of follow-up phone calls to make sure BGE showed up at appointed times to do what was required. Our journey started on March 19th with contract signing. We learned a lot about ‘microconverters’ and net meters and panels… great panels...285 watts each (among the best currently available) and extremely durable. On March 29th came panel installation followed the next day with a new breaker panel and system wiring. After installation of required grounding wire came Baltimore County Inspection which passed on April 11th. While awaiting on the scheduled installation by BGE of our new ‘Net’ meter, we received filled out paperwork to apply for Baltimore County Grant and property tax credit… all we had to do was sign and mail! Net meter installed on the 23rd followed by BGE monitoring net meter function then notifing us on the 24th of April that it was ’OK’ to turn on the system and, after 1 initial overcast rainy day… has been running ‘backwards’ ever since. Every step of the way American Sentry Solar was there with pertinent information about what to expect next… and when. This seems to be a well run company with happy employees (yes we were informed by some of the employees that they liked their jobs and one that said it was the best place he’s ever worked.) American Sentry Solar made a believer out of me. If your ‘on the fence’ about Solar, I can tell you that this company does it right, their pricing is competitive, and the system they install is top notch using the newest proven upgraded tech.

Best Contractor I have Ever Worked With

American Sentry Solar was responsive, professional, punctual, and kept me in the loop during the entire process. When I had questions, Gailen would respond and answer my e-mails quickly, with follow up phone calls to ensure that I did not have any questions. Honestly, the entire process was seamless and easy. They value their customer's time. I have worked with quite a few contractors on my home since I purchased it, and American Sentry Solar were by far the best.

Purchased Solar Panels in October 2017

We had a few companies come by and offer a free quote. The first company, not American Solar, was pushing us to get front and back panels on the house and to do a solar lease. We wanted to only do this if it could cover all our electrical usage through the year. They could not guarantee that and what we would be paying them was what we were already paying to BGE plus a little more to cover the difference, it just did not make sense for us so we said no finally. A couple months later, we were in a Home Depot in Aberdeen and a representative from American Solar approached us and offered a quote. A gentleman came to our house and spent approx. 2 hours going over all options. He even showed how we would get so much more production out of rear facing panels on our roof. It was not worth it in his estimation for us to get them on the front when they would only product 25% of what the rear ones would. He was never pushy about anything. He explained the options of renting/leasing/purchasing. After explaining the benefits of purchasing, we then got down to costs. These are better systems than what Solar City offers. I guarantee that. I looked into everything before deciding on getting 1 year same as cash finiancing for our 5.13kW system. We paid it off in 5 months, my wife is a very frugal woman. We have quite impressed where we can see the energy it is producing each day. We also see it in our lower BGE bills. This past month, March.April bill, we used approx. half of what we used last year and it was warmer last year. We are so looking forward to see what our system produces in the spring and summer months since we have only see from last day of October when it was turned on by BGE. A great company to deal with and are trustworthy and honest. We had many questions and all were answered throughout the process while the system was being created until it was installed. These systems also sit more flush with the house and you see very minimal piping where the wires go. Unlike Solar City panels, which are on a couple neighbors homes and it looks just bad cosmetically. Thank you.

If you are looking to get Solar Panels on your house, I highly recommend American Sentry Solar. From the inception of the process everything was laid out simply and was easy to understand. Once the installation process began Galen communicated what would take place in each phase of the installation and kept us informed as to when everything would be completed. Everyone on the installation team were very courteous and explained everything they were doing as they went along and answered and any questions that arose. Once the system was ready to go live, I was contacted by Galen and he walked me through the activation process which was quite simple and explained how to load the MyEnlighten App to my phone to monitor the system. Overall American Sentry Solar provided us with a great product and experience for our Solar Panel install and sale. If you are serious about putting Solar Panels on your home to save money and add to the value of you home, then give American Sentry a call, you wont be disappointed!!!

American Sentry Solar provided my best option for solar electricity. They replaced my main electrical, panel which was outdated and a potential fire hazard. Their installation of the panels was excellent and efficient. They especially paid attention to preserving my exterior architecture (running as much wiring inside my attic as possible) leaving only one cable running down from my soffit to the meter location.

Solar Installation

From start to finish, this was a very smooth process. While my wife and I are not fans of dealing with the sales process associated with this type of thing, American Sentry Solar were a dream to deal with. From sales, to site inspection, to taking care of all the HOA and solar grant paperwork and the install team, not a step of the process was painful. I have had to call Gailan (VP of Production) a few times and he always answers my questions right away. American Sentry Solar is a top notch team and their attention to detail shows in the quality of their product.
