Originally my husband n I just wanted more information about solar. When Jerry showed up at our home, I was truly impressed. He answered all questions n then some. My electric bill is about two thirds less already and that's in the winter. I am anxious to see how the summer goes!! The staff were very professional, patient and customer oriented from start to finish. The app is fun too. I enjoy checking how much energy my panels are producing.

American Sentry Solar was a great company to work with. The installation team showed up on one of the coldest days of the year, and got right to work. They installed 23 panels onto our roof in one day. The installation of the meters was smooth and completed on the same day, as was the connection to our fuse box. The team was professional and courteous. Follow up visits to ensure that the wiring passed code were simple, and the American Solar Sentry representatives showed up early and stayed until the inspections were completed by the local inspectors.

The sales man Jake made me feel confident in our choice with this company. The insulations and getting up and running was a little longer then was stated although the grew was great and very efficient. I still need to get the info for the for the rebates so that I can complete may taxes. I have not received an electric bill yet that indicates the what the panels have produced, but I cant wait to see. I'm hoping to come back with amazing news.

I saw an add touting the virtues of solar. Many households in my neighborhood have added solar panels to their homes. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, so I called. One of the best calls I've made. I was provided with a one on one interview where all my questions were answered. The installation process was orderly, fast, and clean. My neighbors weren't inconvenienced by the install. The company took the lead coordinating connection with my utility company. They also did most of the work sending the necessary paperwork to the state and local government for the tax benefits. I'm very busy and needed that kind of carte blanche service. It was an overall great experience and yes my electric bill has gone from +$200 to less than $10 in just a few short months. This was doing the winter months. I'm looking forward to a sunny Spring and Summer. If you are interested in going solar you will do yourself a great service by giving America Sentry Solar a call.

Going Solar!

I had thought about the idea of going solar for some time, but never really looked too deeply into it. Then, one morning while listening to my favorite Christian radio station, 95.1 SHINE FM, an ad for American Sentry Solar was aired. The fact that my radio station was promoting them was clearly enough for me to find out what this solar company was all about. I made the call and gave them my contact information; soon after, I was contacted by Conner. He was sure to provide plenty of information to convince me to move forward. We set up an appointment for him to come over and explain the process. By “explain”, I mean a really deep dive! I liked what was presented and was ready to move forward. During the installation, Gailan and his team did an outstanding job! They completed the job in less than a whole day and the follow-up inspection was completed very soon afterward. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. For anyone considering “going solar”, I highly recommend American Sentry Solar!

Solar Panels Installed!

Jake was was very helpful and knowledgeable and made the entire sales process a pleasure. He was able to come up with some very innovative solutions regarding the financing. He was helpful through the entire process. Gailan and his crew did a great job. All 28 panels in 3 different arrays were installed in one day. The follow up with inspectors was amazing, wrapping the whole process up in less than a week. The system had a start up hiccup and the American Sentry Solar crews were here the next day to rectify the issue. The monitoring app is also very informative, which actually told us there was an issue with a couple of the arrays. I would highly recommend American Sentry Solar to anyone interested in going solar!

LOVE IT

My wife had looked into solar panels before and I admit I wasn’t to sure about them because there are several types out there. One is that you lease or buy them. I had folks tell me they were leasing theirs, but when We sat down with our sale person. He was knowledgeable and the thing I loved was that he was so friendly and easy going. I never felt pressured because the process is just like buying a car. After doing the paperwork everything was like a well oiled machine. I got a call for the pre-inspection and he showed up on time. He told me everything the installers would do. In a few weeks the installers showed up and the were professionals and everything was going well until later in the evening the wind picked up and they had to stop. They believe in safety first and I was glad to see men that put safety before the money. They came back the next day and finished up. They left my place just like they found it. The whole team was great and they were could have finished in a day. I recommended this company to another friend and they also got the panels. I got two electrical bills so far and I am like WOW. Thy were less them 50 dollars and my system not all that big. I have 16 panels if I had one more I would pay anything. We are glad we made this investment and the team at American Sentry Solar have been great. Just waiting on the federal and state credits.

Eagerly awaiting the first month's electric bill

Whole process from start to finish was very enjoyable; the company either met or exceeded my expectations across the whole process. They were very informative about the whole process from the beginning and were able to break down each individual part along the way. One of my biggest hurdles as a consumer was the fact that my house runs purely on electricity (no natural gas or other sources), so I had to have a larger system installed than typical. In addition, the roof on the house was very close to the end of it's life; which actually turned out well considering the company can also replace roofs AND I became eligible to receive a tax break on a new roof specifically because it was being replaced so solar panels could be installed! I will say the honesty given to me throughout the whole process was very refreshing, as they were able to outline not only the pros of a solar network but also potential cons and how they limit any negative experiences that could develop with the process. So far I've been keeping track of the net electric usage of the house and it's very good so far!

The panels and install were excellent. The first bill was basically nothing. I'm making a surplus in October, but then no AC or Heat needed this month. Owning the panels will make you more conscious about you conservation of electricity in general. One bad note though is I live in Prince Georges County, MD. There is a property tax rebate. But I got a letter that I CAN'T collect on it till 2027! and is not transferable. That was a $5,000 credit. So that will change the math somewhat of the overall system. That point was not communicated beforehand. I had the expectation of getting that money back next year, not in a decade.

100% Amazing Experience

October 23, 2017 Dear Mr. Tunney, I wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we had working with American Sentry Solar. From the very first interaction, when we met Jake, until the last when the installation was complete the entire process was easy and uncomplicated. We appreciated that everything was done for us, the permits, inspections, financing, making sure that we have all of the paperwork needed for our taxes, running all of the electrical work and getting BGE to switch out our meter. One thing that I really liked, was that it was the same people coming into our home throughout the process: Jake who told us about the products, financing, and how the installation process would go; Ponch and Louis the electricians, Eric the roof measurer and Matt the foreman. The entire team had the project complete in three days, and did a great job of cleaning up, leaving the place exactly as they found it. Outstanding installation of panels on roof. Installers were professional and knowledgeable. Installers and electrician did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. The electrician even used a swivel sweeper to clean below the attic access.

Solar made easy

American Sentry made the process of going Solar painless and easy, The installers were more than happy to talk about and explain the system and the process. The salesman thoroughly covered all the options and different ways of financing the system and explained the benefits completely. I am very happy with the install and appearance of the panels and have gotten a lot of compliments on how it looks.

My Solar Experience

My salesman was prompt and very knowledgeable about the function of the solar panels, installation process, pricing, and available credits. I was so impressed with him and his presentation that I signed a contract that same day! The installers arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional. They worked efficiently to install my 26 panel system and instructed me on how to monitor my daily energy production by accessing an app on my smart phone. My cost savings is enormous! They Make It Easy

The process was seamless, from sales through installation which only took two days for 50 panels. American Sentry Solar also filled out much of the paperwork needed in the process, just requiring our signatures. The only hiccup was some communication issues with the Envoy. It took a few times times from different members of the crew to come out and work on this before final resolution. But they were dedicated to completing the job and having it working correctly. We also love the web login and interface to see how the panels are doing. We call it our new computer game as we have become somewhat fixated on checking this out each day to see how much energy we are generating and how much money we are saving!

SOLAR PANEL INSTALATION

We made a sound decision in our life, and that was to go solar; so far it's been great. They came in and install them in one day, but then pepco came right behind them the following week(2) to switch out my meter, as soon as they put the new meter in power up and that's it. I haven't had any problems they didn't leave any mess and did everthing they said they were going to do. In the long run i can see my savings, this is a good buy.

Seamless Process

We have always been big believers in leveraging renewable energy and especially solar. We had heard radio adverts about solar installations by American Sentry Solar but always thought that the decision was very far from our reach. We never had a budget and it wasn't anywhere in our short term financial needs either. One day, a sponsored Solar advert popped up on my Facebook feed about a program that Maryland was giving to qualifying families and that's how we renewed my solar installation plan. The website gave 4 participating companies and that each would call me to see if we qualified. One of the 4 companies called and told me that we didn't qualify for the program, 2 called and as I later found out one did business with another and I somehow felt conflicted choosing one or the other since one had called first and talked the process over with me and offered to install solar free for a minimal monthly fee (The number was so precise, it scared me). Lastly, American Sentry Solar called and told us they would help us instal a system that we would own. The cost though was prohibitive and we almost gave up on the solar, seeing that it wasn't anywhere in our short term financial goals. The Associate that visited our house gave a number of financing options that made the decision easier for us. Remembering how high our electrical bill went every winter season was reason enough for us to lock-in a monthly cost that would be stabilized by our solar units. The process henceforth took about 2 months and at some point we thought that the plan had aborted. In hindsight after the seamless approval, installation and commissioning of our system we appreciated the fact that American Sentry Solar did all the hard work without much involvement from us. To our amazement, the installation was completed in one day. We are very excited and satisfied clients because we know for sure installing solar was a worthwhile investment and thank the American Sentry Solar team for helping us through it all. We love the online system that monitors and records the daily production by our panels. We so love everything about our solar project. Installation went pretty smooth. Guys were very professional.

I did my research. I'm glad I waited. I almost went with another company, but just before I signed the papers they showed their true colors and became really pushy. I came across American Sentry Solar by reference when I had my home assessed for energy consumption. They were professional from consultation, to financing and on through the installation. There were some time gaps in communication, but they were always on point when they called and let me know exactly where we were in the process. The professionalism isn't just in the sales pitch. The installation guys have a very hard job but you could tell that a lot of them really enjoy what they're doing. It was very hot, but they all really maintained a high level of energy and seeing things though. They all also had a great sense of humor. They answered my dumb questions. They broke everything down for me. When there were issues, they assessed it, figured out the best course of action and executed it all in a very timely manner. I have 44 panels and it still only took 1.5 days to install. I'm still in the process where it hasn't been officially turned on yet, but I'm very excited. Larry already showed me how the app works and looks on his phone during the activation. I can't wait to see how much this system saves me. There was only 1 small mishap, but they've assured me the extra holes they had to cut will be patched and painted. I'm confident in their commitment to the customers happiness.

i am very pleased from start to finish. After talking to 5 different solar companies. American Sentry Solar stood out from all the rest. They were very knowledgeable and professional and treated me with integrity. Everyone else i dealt with said it would be 6 to 8 weeks. American Sentry Solar completed job start to finish in 2 weeks. Wonderful company

My husband and I recently purchased solar panels with you and we have been nothing but pleased during the entire process. Our free home estimate with Connor was in February after we had already met with Solar City and were not happy with their options. Connor spelled out the entire process, the roof and attic survey, financing, electricity production, rebates and all of the necessary permits and inspections. Gailan was great about keeping us in the loop about where we were in the process, getting necessary paperwork to us, and in scheduling the installation and inspections. The installation crew was efficient and polite, all wiring and 36 panels were installed within 2 days and completed on May 25th. Adam made the trip down for each of the necessary county and electric company inspections and was wonderful about answering questions. ADB handled all of the county permits, county inspections and connecting with our electric company to have the proper meter installed. We are over a 2 hour drive here in Calvert County from where ADB is located, and the employees that made the drives down here never had any complaints. We have already received many compliments on how nice our panels look compared to many other solar installs in the area. We were officially turned on live on June 21st and we are excited to see our electric production and savings! The online availability to see our daily production is a great tool as well. We will be spreading the word about American Sentry here in Calvert County for sure.

At the end of May, we became official "greenies". Thank you American Design and Build for providing our ground mounted solar system and "a made in the USA" product!! You have an awesome team to work with and it was great that you handled the entire process from start to completion...so effortless on our part!!! We highly recommend this company if you are considering going solar and owning your own energy source and all the environmental benefits (and financial benefits) of going that path for future generations.
