I recently had solar panels installed and couldn’t be happier with the experience. This company was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and always clear in their communication. They got the work done quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality. The installation looks great, everything works perfectly, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar!

1st time ever getting solar panels installed and went with American Sentry solar. My first mistake was not shopping around and my second was not educating myself on the matter. After 3 years of ownership I haven't produce enough to cover the Electric bill and the extra solar loan. One of the main reasons the loan is so over priced and I didn't realize this untill my neighbors started posting what they where quoted. For example I got 20 panels for 34k one of my neighbors got 29 panels for 17k. Yeah big difference and my grants programs never came in on time for me to put towards the loan causing my loan bill to go up to 162 a month just for the solar alone panels insane. No i would not recommend American century solar for that reason. Now installation was great and the panels work fine just dont produce. So to potential buyers be aware and shop around.

The installation looks great and was put in promptly. The price was reasonable after they finally offered the real deal.

Working with American Sentry Solar was easy process start to finish. Two of our neighbor has previously purchased solar panels from American Sentry. After speaking with them and seeing how the panels were producing electricity, this made a decision to proceed. Starting with Stan Kovachki (sales) explaining the system and process to purchase, to the electric installation crew explaining their process, to the panel installation crew explaining what they would be doing. And finally Brett who completed the process by scheduling the county inspector and BGE meter switch. Very satisfied with the whole American Sentry Solar team. Panels started producing before they install crew has left the property.

Excellent from start to finish. I will be honest, I was hesitant at first, with the initial cost, but once everything was laid out and explained it was a no brainer for us. Believe me my wife is an accountant and if the numbers made sense to her the numbers made sense period. With the warranty, the monthly saving for us between the monthly cost and our current electric bill was pretty significant. From day one with the visit with the techs everything was great and their employees were all a pleasure to have working for us. I will admit we have PPL for our provider and slowed things down a little but once they approved everything we are up and running. I would definitely recommend American Sentry Solar To anyone looking into Solar.

The phone scheduler was great and understood that as an EE, and someone that's done research on this, I had a goal in mind and just needed to chat about price and warranties offered. The sales rep, who is also their marketing manager, started our visit with a few sales faux pas: 1) He refused to take off his shoes when asked; 2) He used the bathroom. Setting those aside, his first business comment to me was, "Where's your husband?" I informed him I was the sole home owner. Then he commented, "Well....this is a mighty big house..." as if I couldn't handle my own home, alone, and/or without a man. Then he continued to insult my intelligence when I informed him I'm an electrical engineer, so I understand how solar works, and made me watch the videos on solar because I "couldn't possibly understand how solar works, it's so complicated." I tried to skip those, but he shooed my hand away from his screen. Then he dropped the bomb of DOUBLE the price for a system with less efficient panels and inverters than I was interested. I informed him that other companies were half that price, which he scoffed because of his 11 years in the business, he never heard of them. When I told him of the better panels I was interested in, he scoffed again because he also never heard of them (a leading solar panel company for the last 30 years). He eventually offered me $5k off his price, because the owner of the company is a nice guy and the chairman of the MHIC, if I put signs in my yard and told 4 friends who eventually get solar from them. Then dropped the price another $20k if I pay cash up front. He didn't even leave information with me except his price tag. I sure will tell everyone I can about this company - and to stay away! If this is the person representing your company for sales and marketing in the age of cancellation, Mr. Chairman, I wish you luck, sir.

Installation done on schedule and as promised. People are very helpful and responsive. Easy to do business with. They have an excellent reputation which is well earned.

I cannot express how good of a job American Sentry Solar did. The crew that they sent out today was super friendly and knowledgeable. I’m glad the money that I would be putting towards my energy bill is now going towards something that I can profit from along with bringing my home value up.

This was one of the easiest installs we have been through. The Sales person was very nice, not pushy. Explained everything clearly and if we had a question he didn't have the answer, he did not make something up. The crew that showed at our home was very respectful of our property and me. They cleaned up all messes that were made. Verified I was happy with the cleanup before leaving. Some may say this is pricey but I would much rather pay for Solar than the electric company. We have already seen a huge drop in our electric bill and we only had it for 1/2 month before receiving our BGE bill.

The team was amazing - left everything neat and clean and working! They are the nicest people. Most importantly, they work for the company and are NOT hired contractors hired on the side. Thus, they care about the job and getting it done correctly and efficiently!

I spoke to three vendors and it was clear that the disclosures were vague at most. I decided to search again and put my request at the mercy of the internet. I got the robocalls and others two weeks away from scheduling a consult. American Sentry Solar called and was available that day. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and sincere. I am glad we closed that deal then. This company had to deal with my HOA, which lasted for seven months. When we got the signal from the HOA, I had my solar panels fully operational and authorized by the electric grid and local government in less than a month. I am now producing double my consumption and am very happy to be contributing to the grid and the overall environmental impact. Thanks to everyone, especially Gailan, who was with me throughout the seven-month HOA conversations. For those reading this, look no further. American Sentry Solar has the best thorough process and professionalism I have ever experienced.

Terrific company. Minor technical problem with installation. I had some shadowing due to a dormer. They immediately re-positioned panel and took care of roof where panel had been. Production greatly improved.

We had been thinking about going solar for awhile. I saw a review a friend had posted, after getting a system from American Sentry Solar. My wife and I asked her about her experience, and she had nothing but a positive experience. So after deciding to move forward, we were contacted by ASS, after a referral. From the initial consultation I was happy with how everything was explained and all the options explained. We felt no pressure to buy, but decided it was the right offer. From then through the entire installation process was very easy. Everyone we had been in contact with was very professional and nice. All questions were answered quickly and fully. The installation was was done much quicker than I expected, and was done professionally. We are very happy with our decision, and are looking forward to lower electric bills.

Bel Air, Maryland - So, I have gotten 5 estimates for solar panels for my home. I decided to go with American sentry solar because the estimate process was straight forward, they answered all my questions and did a good job at explaining the County/State/Federal Solar incentives that would apply to my project (plus they are local to me). The project was quick and again straight forward. This is the timeline of my project: 09/22/23- Started the paperwork- contract/permit/Loan etc. 10/04/23- Site planning visit- (electric panel and roofing system inspection) 10/25/23- System Install – Took about 4 hours – (The crew was outstanding) 10/31/23- Local Government (County Permit Inspection) 11/15/23- Power Company updated power meter to be compatible with the system. 11/16/23- System in full Operation I like being able to see what the system is producing to include the system status and what each solar panel is producing with the Enphase enlighten App. Now the wait to see the effects to my energy bill begins and I will update in the future. Overall, I’m very happy with the whole project and would recommend the American sentry solar team.

We replaced our roof and installed solar panels at the same time. Installation was well organized and efficient. A window screen that was accidentally torn during installation was fixed within the week. We went from great to good when the electrical panel failed inspection twice. Both times an electrician was out the next morning and had it fixed in 10 minutes, but it takes at least 2 weeks to get the county inspector back out, so we had an extra 4 weeks of electric bill, and frustration. ADBuilders paid our additional electric bill.

Everyone that worked for this company was very helpful. They all completed their work quickly and well. I have not had any important problems. When their equipment told them that a cell was not working they immediately came and fixed it. I am so happy with the service provided by this company that I have already asked them to do some other work for me.

I was very happy with the prestation and thought it look like what we were looking for. We signed a contract then.

I had an excellent experience with American Sentry Solar. The initial estimate with Jonathan Solovey was honest and straightforward. The installation team consisting of Casey Bottiger, Matt Tennis, Matt Tobin, Kevin Dawson, and Chad Williams, was very professional and friendly. They worked well and efficiently installing my system in under 6 hours explaining what they were doing and answering any questions I had. The final system is functioning and looks great. I'm extremely pleased with my entire experience with American Sentry Solar.

My decsion to go solar was made easy through easy financing with no out of pocket expense. The American Build team continues to assist through the process.

This company runs on high pressure sales tactics and over inflated prices. Their strategy is to corner you in your house, presenting their offer as extremely marked down (45k to 35k) with sales incentives that are available if you sign up right now. After signing their contract, I got competing bids from other companies and received quotes of 22k for the same exact KwH set up for my house with higher quality panels. A.S.S. also dodged my questions about the cost, and radio silenced me when I decided to cancel my contract within my legal window. I would not recommend this company at all. Please do your research and get a wide variety of quotes before moving forward with a solar project.

The team that came in to do my install was very kind and worked efficiently throughout the day. There was one electrical mishap that was not caught during the install. A neutral wire was cut to a lighting circuit. I called the project manager and they came right over the next day and fixed it. I am confident that if I ever need them for anything in the future, they will be there for us.

Our experience with American Sentry Solar were surprisingly stress free! Honestly, when it comes to solar installations, I was skeptical solely due to hearing about a co-worker’s horror story about how an installation caused water leaks due to roof damage. Then there were the legal actions to hold the solar company responsible for damages. However, we are pleased to state this was by far NOT our experience. American Sentry Solar staff and technicians took care of all documentation to include completing the state grant paperwork, initiating the process for us to receive our Solar Renewable Energy Tax Credits (SERC), providing supporting documents for our HoA application, and requesting a new electrical interconnect meter from Delmarva Power. We had our consultation with a sales consultant, Jonathan, within a few weeks of scheduling the appointment. He was very polite and gave a good introduction about American Sentry Solar and the steps involved in their solar installation. The process began with a review of our electrical consumption to determine the panel configuration suitable to our situation. Next, we talked about cost, and quite surprisingly solar ownership is very doable once federal SERC tax credit and state grant funding are factored into the purchase. Completing an on-the-spot financial application was fast and easy. Even though we decided to pursue the solar installation, we were offered several days to review the provided documents about cost, materials, and the overall investment. A site inspection was performed by Gailan who explained what our installation would entail and answered all our questions. On the day of the installation, I had to work, but the solar foreman, Casey, explained what he and his team were to do, which took less than 4 hours to install 14 panels then run conduit and wiring through the attic into a junction box on the opposite outside wall from the house circuit pane. Throughout the installation they were very polite and respectfully. In fact, Casey took time to speak with me on the phone to answer any questions I had, particularly about how the panels were mounted to roof. I was surprised to hear they didn’t drill holes in the roof. Casey explained the mounting system and even provided a sample of a mounting bracket. The installation is finished and we are very pleased with the outcome. The panels blend in nicely with our roof shingles. The interesting part is we can monitor our electricity production via a phone application as well as what we are drawing in from the power company. Going solar has been easier than we had imagined! The company is very easy to work with. The salesperson, Brad, was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions before I made the decision to purchase. All of my interactions over the phone have been friendly. They even made the extra effort to make sure the subpanel in my garage was able to be used since I wanted the panels installed on the detached garage roof. The installation was done after only a few weeks from contract signing and was done very quickly and efficiently. Still waiting for BGE to do their inspection and switch the meter but I can't wait to start saving on my electric bill.

I am very thankful American Design and Build and especially to Adam for answering my questions, to Brad and his team for the installation of my solar panels onto my roof. I was hesitate to install solar panels until an American Design and Build representative came to my home and showed me all aspects of solar panels, the incentives, costs, installation, etc. They did any outstanding job with the installation, they were thoughtful, courtesy and told me everything they were doing. In addition, they arrived at my home right on time and I was shocked they were done so quick. Thank You again to Brad and his teams.

We were of course nervous at this big idea, but my wife and I figured the savings and sustainability made it worth the uncertainty. Jerry Hopp did a splendid job explaining all aspects of this important move, and we felt very sure that we were doing the right thing. He made a lot of assurances, and we were prepared to have some of them not come true. But it all turned out just as he said. The audit inspection was smooth and flawless. The work crew was prompt, polite and quickly about their work. Each team member knew exactly what he needed to do and even our most skittish cats had no trouble when they came through! The job was done in only a few hours, and we can already see our roof panels are producing much of the power we used just yesterday. What a feeling! And as soon as the power company can attach a smart meter, that proportion is only going to rise. Nothing can completely take away the nervous tickles at doing something so important. But we are thrilled with the service, efficiency and friendliness of the staff at American Sentry.

Our search for solar began in January. We compared about a dozen companies from the internet and contacts made at the Maryland Home and Garden Show held in March. American Sentry Solar was our clearcut choice. There were a variety of reasons. Brad, our sales representative, was outstanding. Other major factors were the price, the complete warranty on all aspects of the equipment and maintenance, and the attention to details by them. American Sentry Solar is a local Maryland company, which became increasingly important after dealing with out of state companies. Most of them didn't have their own installers, nor local representatives, nor in some cases, people who could speak clear English. One Pennsylvania company would not present a written contract (only verbal). One company was charging extra for trenching for our field mount. Several companies did not have good ratings on consumer review sites (that was also really important for us). During the installation workers talked with great respect about the company president, Joe. Other impressive comments were about the quality of the company and working conditions. All conversations were positive. There were no negative comments made about coworkers nor the company – none. Galen and Casey kept us informed about their work schedule for us. Twice I asked questions about “could they”. On both occasions my concern was addressed respectfully…whatever the customer wanted. Casey actually went above and beyond to check out safety caps for the end of girders when I asked.

The process was made extremely smooth when working with American Sentry Solar. My panels are up and running as of today, and it is so exciting to literally see my solar energy accumulate with the app! Very excited to see my savings in the months and years to come!

The process was seamless, we met with Brad at our home. He walked us through the whole process. He answered any questions we had and explained the solar systems they install. We decided on a ground base system. We couldn’t be happier with the system. From Heather in Financing to Gailan and his install crew. We were walked through the whole process as well as financing without the pressure of needing to sign on the dotted line right than and there. My husband and I have debated over Solar for a while. When I saw an add for American Sentry Solar. Brad came to the house armed with all the answers to our questions. We did not want to rent panels, we wanted to purchase them. Brad was able to help us out with a new roof and critter guards as we have a ton of squirrels. The crews that came out to install the roof and solar panels were fantastic! They were respectful of my property and the clean up was beyond compare.

We really wanted to go solar in our new home. We were very apprehensive after hearing from people how pushy some of the providers can be. However, Brad with American Sentry Solar was anything but. He arrived with data that he and his support team developed that offered a recommendation. He spent most of the time asking about our needs, different options, the weather, etc etc. It was only toward the end of our discussion that he went through the ownership model, cost, etc. He emphasized that although he would like a decision then, it was not required. He spent time discussing various financing options as well - a very complete package. We ended up asking for more panels than originally recommended to completely fill the back roof. The company kept us informed throughout the process. Now, just waiting for the electric company to show up with the meter !

I am extremely pleased with American Sentry Solar. So far, the whole process of going solar has been great. I did shop around to check prices and reviews and found American Sentry Solar to be the one for us. They are local, do their own work and use top quality panels. Those qualities were all high on my list. Brad was great. He has been with us every step of the way. He has made the process straight forward and manageable. He answered all my questions and if he did not know the answer, he would find it and get back to me in a timely manner. He has made it a stress-free process and I hope he can do so until we are 100%. Casey and his roofing team and electricians did a great job as well. They came on time and worked in a professional manner. From start to finish, my experience as a residential customer with American Sentry Solar was first class. During the sales presentation, I was informed why ownership is preferred to lease options for a solar array. Additionally, the company presented themselves as the custodians of top-of-the-line product, installing LG panels with Enphase microinverters. The initial quoted price was above what I was willing to pay, when I was contacted a few months later with a significantly lowered "seasonal discount", I was compelled to purchase. From decision to installation, the experience has been amazing. I'd like to thank my installation team: Brian, Jake, David, and Josh who were in and out within 4 hours. The install was professional and the guys were well informed. Overall - 5/5!

We just had our 30 panel ground mount solar system installed. Brad, Gallon, Phil, Larry, Todd, Jake, and everyone else who helped get this installed was amazing. I thought that the process from sign up (with Brad Klipner) to 'power up' went well overall. Of course, there were some glitches to be ironed out but the staff kept me in the loop as to the how, what & why of it all. Everyone was professional & courteous. The company was able to work within my work schedule.

American Sentry Solar installed 15 roof panels in Oct., 2021. We were very impressed with everyone we spoke to. Our salesman, Will Randow, explained clearly and completely all we needed to know about the process in order for us to make an informed decision. We never once felt like Will was trying to 'sell' us these panels. It was just the three of us sitting around the table and talking to each other. The price was very reasonable and budget-friendly. He spoke honestly with no B.S. That really stood out for us. The panels are also made in the USA, which we liked. We spoke to Adam (scheduler) to pick a day for installation. Installation day arrives and so do Casey (foreman) and his team of Matt, Jake and Josh. They were on time as promised. They worked well as a team and were very polite and respectful of our property and cleaned up after they were finished. We are already seeing some savings with the installation of the panels. We anticipate bigger savings during the Summer months when it will be sunnier.

American Solar Sentry is a reliable company I can trust. They have been in business many years, have top ratings in the solar industry, and use quality materials. On average the cost of going solar is no different than the cost of my electric bill. Once the panels are paid off the return on investment will be fantastic. What I appreciate most is that American Sentry Solar handles all the details including permits, financing, and installation. Aside from the initial consultation, all I had to do was schedule the surveying/planning, installation, and final inspection. All went off without a hitch and in just over a month I had solar and an app on my phone where I could track how much energy my panels were producing compared to how much I was consuming. It's a very cool app and I feel good about using a clean, renewable energy source which is friendly to our increasingly precious environment.

Seems it may pay for itself after 10 years or so. I had an electric bill that was approx half what it regularly was, but that was before the upgraded meter was installed. Since that was installed, it has been running in reverse more than forward, so that is a good sign. The panel installation looks good as well.
