Aegis has been an incredible partner for our solar panel installation on our home. From Salesperson Nathan Hernandez to operations/compliance/project manager extraordinnaire Sarah Moore (AND the installation team) everyone has been quick, clear, helpful, and supportive along the way. Pricing was competitive, drawings were clear, they knew how to manage the compliance/approval/permit process, and provided us with the guidance we needed to get the project done. I am so glad we decided to work with Aegis for this important investment in our home.

Getting solar panels was a major decision for my family and me, and some of the concerns we had were related to the quality, experience and professionalism of the solar company we chose to go with. Dealing with Aegis gave us confidence that the job would be done right. From the beginning, their client manager Nathan Hernandez was knowledgeable and responsive. He was sensitive to the aesthetics of the panel grid on the front of our house and scaled the system to accommodate our new plug-in hybrid car. The Aegis install team consisted of experienced individuals who have worked with the company for many years. Their office staff answers the phone directly and they address your questions immediately. Everything about this company is well done. We actually started down the solar path with a different company but soon realized they didn’t pay attention to details which was disconcerting, so we made the switch. Very glad we went with Aegis!!!

My day job is running a solar power firm based in Massachusetts, even though I live in Connecticut. We're not licensed to work in CT, when I wanted solar power for my home, I had to find a local company for my project. Suffice it to say, I knew what I was looking for in a solar power firm, and Aegis fit the bill perfectly. From beginning to end, they were great, I highly recommend them if you're looking to go solar in CT!

Despite some delays (COVID, supply chain etc) once work started, it was completed in a timely fashion and everyone who came to work at our house was polite, professional, and competent. Aegis designed and installed a ground mounted system to provide power for a geothermal HVAC system and household electric. The solar panels have provided on average 90% or more of our energy needs based upon four years of in place experience. The process of selecting panels, design for our homesite, installation, participation in receiving government subsidies, and making financing available was timely, professional, and understandable for non technical people. From the sale to final installation of the monitoring software, each function of Aegis was superlative. This investment rewards us every day.

Aegis patiently walked me through the entire process, both salesman I worked and their install team. Every employee I interacted with was professional and helpful. Yhese folks do nice, clean work and will guide you every step of the way.

I shopped 3 different installers including a large national brand. They were clueless about the state incentives. I liked the manufacturer that Aegis offers compared to others. I hammered Leslie with every question I could think of including scheduling preferences. This guy was fantastic. He really knows the ins and outs of what's important for the homeowner and his professionalism is second to none. Well done guys. The installers were efficient and respectful. The panels look great!!!

Aegis was really great. Leslie maintained really great communication from the very early planning stages through the finish and it looks like that will continue!! He's a peach. Elliot also was very responsive and their electrician, Steve, who did the electrical was stellar. We're very happy and would recommend them to anyone.

I received multiple quotes and compared to the other big national installers they had the best price and equipment. Leslie my salesman was excellent and explained everything upfront very well. They provided a very detailed and easy to understand quote within a day or two. The national installers were some of the most high pressure salespeople I have ever encountered and provided nothing upfront on paper. I experienced the complete opposite with Leslie and Aegis. Everything moved along very smoothly and they were very quick on moving the paperwork and applications along. I had my panels up in running in a little over 2 months. The final install was excellent quality. I have a building trade background and they did an excellent job properly attaching the panels to my roof and running all the wiring. I researched all the equipment they installed and they are using whats considered top of the line stuff in the solar industry. They are also a local CT company located right in my town that have been in business for a very long time and its nice knowing I supported a local business.

Both Aegis Solar and Sunpower were the very best to work with regarding this conversion to solar ! Leslie Higgins, as the representative for Aegis, was very professional and patient as he explained the conversion and was thorough in explaining the time and our responsibilities in this process. My wife, Suzanne, and I would recommend them to anyone interested in this process. Our first bills are in: $ 109.00 from Sunpower and just under $ 20.00 from Eversource ! The upfront sales team and the overall installation manager are professional. The crew they have doing their work appears to be untrained teenagers. Some are knowledgeable, but others lack competency and caused significant damage to my roof. They then tried to cover this up but my GC called them out and the manager made it right by calling in a roofing company. Time line is 4 months plus from the time of ordering. Some delays are due to electric company side of things, but others are due to poor project management. Seems to be a lack of oversight on the project. There are certainly cheaper companies out there, and my expectation was for a top quality install when paying top dollar. I am disappointed with my choice of solar provider and wont be using them for my planned expansion.

Like many others, I was only interested in well established solar companies, that are state or region focused; that quickly limited the potential bidders. Another factor was warranty coverage, both labor and parts, where Aegis excels. I had a solar thermal system installed several years ago, and was impressed with their timeliness and professionalism, so I invited them to bid on a solar energy system. I agree with my neighbors, the system not only looks great, it produces as promised and with the several electricity rate increases, I will recoup my investment in short order. Competitive prices, but much better service and installation than other friends have experienced.

I opted to buy the system and wanted my entire roof to be panels. They were accommodating and dropped the bathroom vent back under the roof line, repaired the roof line and popped it up through on the rear of the house. No wires. Ended up with an 11,000 Kw system. I like the look from the street. Definitely would recommend. I had an agreement from one other solar company but when I did my research with the state website and knowing my town would benefit from my purchase with Aegis Solar, I quickly closed my contract and switched over to Aegis.

From the initial sales visit through project completion and beyond . . . the salesman and surveyors- the team of installers at my house- the supervising engineer- the office staff - ALL VERY PROFESSIONAL!!! EVERYONE I worked with or spoke to at AEGIS was helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt to return calls and or e-mail. Any changes or issues were quickly communicated to my wife and I with possible solutions at the same time. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar solution to holding back the utility companies.

A fine group to deal with. Mine was a small installation but I feel as though I was as important as there larger installations.

Chris and staff are very professional and a pleasure to work with. I hope I have the opportunity to use Aegis again. The process was completely seemless from start to finish, Chris took care of everything so i could focus on other parts of the building construction.
