A neighbor, who is a professor and spent her career in the energy sector, first suggested I consider Yes Solar. From the start I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. More importantly, they never tried to sell me on anything. The approach was very consultative. Yes Solar created financial models for me to review. Their projections were tailored to my home, and conservative regarding what I could expect. They left me with information and time to decide. The project manager surveyed the site before the day of install. We walked through where everything would be placed. He considered and accounted for my requests regarding aesthetic and placement of equipment. When it came time for the install, it took a day for a 7.8kw system. The solar system is now producing 89% of our annual solar needs. My bill has gone from $155 to $20 monthly, and the pay-back will far exceed expectations. Easy and affordable

I was very happy with the service I got from Yes Solar Solutions. Their folks walked me through the estimate process and were very helpful as I navigated getting permission from my condo association HOA. Their techs were knowledgeable and professional. They had to remove a legacy solar hot water from our roof and they did a great job with that too.

Locally-Based, Excellent Installation and Ongoing Support

When we picked Yes Solar to install our solar panels nearly three years ago, one of the primary reasons was that they were a locally based company and were very responsive when we contacted them. Fortunately, we’ve not been disappointed. They handled the entire installation process smoothly, including their assistance in getting a federal tax credit and helping us apply for (and receive) a rebate from Duke Energy for our system. Our power bills have been much lower since then, which is particularly helpful now that we have an electric vehicle. Yes was very responsive recently when we had a problem with an inverter board which failed, going the extra mile to get it replaced and to ensure we were happy with their service. I highly recommend them!

Excellent service in an unknown environment

I always thought solar was extremely expensive and would never do it. Then a door-to-door guy with another company kept me believing that. Then my neighbor had Yes Solar install on his home. I was very reasonable with the Federal and local rebates. I inquired about it with them through the referral. They came to my house explained everything in detail (about 2 hours). After more independent research, we go the nerve to go with it. Other than being installed over a holiday, everything went smoothly and they kept me informed every step they were at. I couldn't have been more happy...then I got my first bill. It went from $225 to $18. That's right, over $200 down. That savings covered the loan payment.

Solar Installation

Soon after moving into a new house, I explored having solar panels added to my house. Yes Solar Solution was chosen to install the panels. A project manager kept me informed of the schedule. On the day of the installation, a crew of at least 6 people arrived to install the equipment. The installation was completed within several hours, and the panels have been supplying power to my house without any problems for 4 years. We were happy to have selected Yes Solar.

Had a great experience with Yes Solar

I had a 12.24 KW rooftop system installed with Yes Solar in March 2019. Everyone I talked to was very knowledgeable and generous with their time to help me understand in as much detail as I wanted to know. I liked that the people were communicative, gave thoughtful answers, and gave me confidence that they would do a good job. The system has been rock solid, and I noticed an immediate impact in my Duke Energy bills. The monitoring is very addictive, and fun to see. Seriously if you are looking to buy solar panels, you will not find anyone better than Yes Solar to install them.

Outstanding and complete job!

I talked to a number of local homeowners with existing photovoltaic to learn about their experiences. Next I met with 2 of the most highly recommended companies and got detailed estimates and overviews of what they could deliver. I went with Yes Solar Solutions who did the installation efficiently and on schedule. They handled all permits with the town and interactions with Duke Energy seamlessly. When it came time to apply for the Duke Energy rebate in January they were right there to help with any questions or problems. They system has been in place and operating for 6 months without a hitch, so I have no experience with post installation service. I will happily recommend them in the future.

Professional and personal solar installation company

We chose Yes Solar in part because they are located in our home town, so we felt that they would be responsive and available if we had any questions. That has completely proved to be the case. They did the work when they said they would, they performed the work professionally, and they have been very responsive to questions we have raised since the installation.

One of the best home improvement experiences ever!

From the not-at-all-pushy sales experience to the punctual, polite installation to the visit from the CEO after completion, this was about as close to the ideal home improvement experience. At all points, there were clear lines of communication, schedules were kept, and things happened exactly as I was told they would. After talking with and comparing estimates, we decided to go with Yes Solar Solutions, since they were a local company and were the lowest of the bids we received. We also felt that the representative we talked with at the outset provided the most detailed information, including the fact that if the company's installation didn't provide 90% of what they estimated for generation, they would compensate us. That's a pretty amazing guarantee! The different people who worked with us, from solar design to installation to follow up were all highly capable and easy to reach. I definitely recommend this company to anyone exploring solar.

Had a great experience with Yes Solar

I spoke with a few local solar companies to install an array on our house. I went with Yes Solar because they came recommended by a neighbor and had a very professional and detailed solution presentation. They were able to answer all of my questions and accommodated my desire to place as much cabling and conduit in wall as possible. Yes Solar had a very low pressure approach and even suggested we wait on install to better qualify for the Duke Energy rebate program. Other companies were more concerned with getting us on the schedule sooner even though it would decrease our chances with the Duke program. I felt this was a good indicator of Yes Solar's motivations and how they placed the customer above all else. I would definitely use Yes Solar again, and likely will as we now have an EV and I'll want to increase our array size to offset the additional load. If you're considering a solar system for your home or business I'd recommend Yes Solar without hesitation.

I chose Yes Solar Solutions because of their reviews, proximity and my interaction with them initially. They helped me determine my needs, make the plans, install and handle the details. Most appreciated was dealing with the electric company to connect to the grid. They were helpful, friendly, responsive and efficient. They also helped when we had a near miss lightning strike and went over and beyond to get the replacements made on warranty. I highly recommend them.

Awesome solar system, awesome customer support

Yes Solar Solutions (YSS) did an outstanding job designing, planning and installing our solar roof. First, YSS was instrumental in securing the Duke Energy rebate for our system, bringing the cost down significantly. YSS was extremely flexible and responsive to our changing requirements during the planning process. Based on our requests, they designed the perfect solution for our location and roof size. The installation was done on time as planned. Everything looks great and works great. The solar production is monitored online and usage stats can be accessed on a smartphone or computer. Overall, the installed system exceeds our high expectations. It feels great to drive a solar powered car and have most of the energy needs for our home covered by solar energy while saving money in the process. Our estimated payback time for the installation is less than 10 years while increasing the value of our home. Can’t get any better.

I wish we had done this sooner

We kept waiting until prices came down and ended up missing the NC tax credit. But Yes Solar helped us analyze the size system we really needed, waled us through the federal tax credit, recommended the technology within our budget and really acted as a consultant rather than a sales process. They helped us identify some trees we could trim to make the system more productive. We knew from the first visit from Jay that Yes was the right answer, and their install team could not have been more professional, clean and organized. They were done in three days and it was the best construction project we have ever experienced. I would recommend Yes Solar as your installation company. Katy
