Amazing experience!

Amazing experience. Yes Solar had us up and running within 2 months from our first phone call. No hassle whatsoever. Very friendly staff. Our system has been working flawlessly since we installed Summer 2022.

It's been close to a year and we've saved a good deal. The winters were a little less productive because of cloud cover but we still saved compared to the previous year. Overall we're extremely happy with our system. No breakdowns, no service calls, no issues really. Would recommend.

9 months of generation

Nine months has passed since Yes Solar Solutions of Cary, NC installed our rooftop system. The system has performed flawlessly. We love sending excess energy back to the grid. Also love sending less money to Duke Energy each month! What we really love is watching energy generated in real time via the SolarEdge interface. To date, our energy production has saved 7,720 pounds of CO2 emissions. If you are considering adding solar to your residence or business, Yes Solar Solutions is the company you want to do business with. Excellent service across the board. This is the second home for us that Yes has put panels on the roof over the past 10 years. We highly recommend them!!

Fantastic Assistance

Our system has been installed for about 9 months, any questions I have had after installation they have answered, and it is producing as they described.

A seamless operation from start to finish

We took a close look at two solar panel providers before selecting Yes Solar Solutions. I'm sure the other company would have been fine also, but our neighbor up the street had used YSS years before and their satisfaction clinched our decision. We had to get two communities to sign off on the installation, but YSS did all work providing the needed information. They also worked with Duke to get their approval. The amount of bureaucracy involved was amazing, but it all went smoothly. Our only job was really to decide who would do the installation and write the checks. Everyone we dealt with was competent and helpful. Our first Duke bill for $16 was proof that we were supplying more to the system than we were taking and meeting our goal of doing our part for the planet.

I am very happy with the solar panels I purchased from and had installed by Yes Solar Solutions. We have already seen the benefits in decreased power bills as a result. We also have decreased our gasoline expenses, due to the purchase of an all electric car, which we are able to charge at home. Our hope is a long term benefit both to our personal finances and the environment, as a result of the addition of solar panels to our home.

Excellent Company to Build a Better Future

I had Yes Solar Solutions install solar panels on my home in October of 2015 and in March of 2022 a Tesla battery to extend its ability to power my home during power outages and meet the coming changes in how we will all be billed by electric utilities as we move towards a more renewable energy future. Their service is excellent. They showed up on time and completed the installs competently and quickly. They provided very good support service answering questions I had and responding to any service difficulties I had. I think that they are model for how companies should treat their customers. And I will say that this feels to me more than a typically customer\service provider relationship. I look at as a collaborative effort to work towards a healthier and sustainable future for our families, our homes and our world. Keep up the good work YES!

It was a great process to get solar. They explained all the steps to get there. After installation I had some questions and when I raised my concerns they took care of it. Totally recommend it. Go solar!!

We Couldn't Be Happier

We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with YES Solar Solutions for our rooftop solar installation. After nine months of operation, the system has continued to work perfectly and has completely lived-up to our expectations. Thanks to the "net metering" we have in North Carolina, we only pay Duke Power the minimum connection fee each month; a huge monthly cost savings in an era when resources are becoming more scarce. YES Solar Solutions takes care of all issues related to the installation and permitting, including the necessary county permits and inspections, and the coordination with Duke Power to arrange for a smooth transition to net metering on their system. In the time since installation, there has only been one small glitch when one of the cosmetic baffle skirts came loose after a heavy storm. They had a crew out here in a matter of only a few days to take care of this small cosmetic problem. Performance of the system was never impacted, In addition to the Federal tax credit, we were also able to secure 18-months same as cash financing on our project. Our project was contracted last December (2021), installed in mid-January, implemented at the end of February. We took the tax credit on our 2020 tax return and will pay for the project in 2023. We couldn't ask for more favorable financing terms. I'd give a special shout-out to the installation crew who worked on our project for a week last January (2022). They were courteous, professional, arrived when they said they'd be here, and cleaned-up after themselves thoroughly at the end of each day. That is exactly the sort of thing you should expect from their installation team! My wife and I wholehearted recommend YES Solar Solutions as the answer for your solar project.

Great Solar Partner

We worked with Yes Solar Solutions while building a new house. They were able to design a custom system while the house was getting built. They worked with our builder to get pre-wiring done and then with various inspectors to make sure that the house build was not held up and that they got their final inspections done in a timely manner to get the system energized shortly after we moved in. We had a fairly large array of 60 panels installed, two inverters and two Generac batteries with 36 kW of storage capabilities. It has been almost 9 months in use and the system has been working great. We've had a couple of power outages and the system kicked right in. Generac has issued a few part recalls and Yes Solar has been on the spot to get the needed parts swapped out. I've been happy with the system and happy with the service that we've received from Yes Solar Solutions.

Exceeded All Expectations

Getting solar panels is a no-brainer. The hard decision is choosing the company to handle the installation. Yes Solar Solutions could not have been better to work with during the whole process. They took the time to educate me about what was going to happen and in what time frame. When I did have more questions, they happily answered them. Even after the installation was completed and my system was up and running, the company followed up with me on several occasions to make sure I was content. I highly recommend using Yes Solar Solutions for your solar power needs.

Responsive to Issues

Yes Solar has been very responsive to issues that arose post-install, all of which were the result of hardware problems unrelated to installation. My system has been operating flawlessly since their service team fixed them. Going solar was a good decision. In addition to cutting my power bill in half - thus providing some protection from inflation, if you get a battery, you can have backup power which, unlike using a gas generator (to my knowledge), the government will give you a tax credit on (double check this with a CPA - not giving financial advice of any kind).

Almost a year out and it's everything we hoped it would be

The solar panels have worked out so well for us. We've only had a couple of months in the summer when we've had electricity charges from Duke (and even then, it's maybe $25). We've been running the AC constantly and have 2 adults working from home (and a teenager who spends a ton of time on his computer and TV when he's home). It makes me feel so good to know that I'm minimizing our reliance on fossil fuels AND saving money in the long run. It's been problem free and it's so easy to forget we even have them, as the panels are so unobtrusive. With the federal tax credits and the rebate that Yes Solar Solutions was able to help us get from Duke energy, it's been a frugal, sustainable solution for us and I know we'll love it for decades to come. If you're on the fence, just talk to them. They were very low pressure and answered my (many, many) questions factually and honestly. This was not a heavy-handed sales pitch but an informational conversation from a company that takes pride in what they do and in helping prospective customers find cost-effective ways to make solar happen for them.

Loving Solar

YES Solar has now been in service for 10 months and we are loving it. The solar panels performed above expectation and we over produce the entire summer and are still going strong into Sept. We had 2 brief and 1 hour long power outages but thanks to the TESLA backup batteries we continued to enjoy TV, the internet and AC. Richard

Still working perfectly

Yes Solar Solutions installed our solar panels almost one year ago. The system is working perfectly and I find that I check out the Energy website with my phone app at least once a day to see how much power we're making and how much we're using. It's shocking how much power is generated on cloudy, rainy days. Yes Solar Solutions stays in contact and answers every question!

This past November our new solar power system with battery backup came online! Our project kicked off in June and involved several changes to major system components (both battery and solar panels) due to supply chain challenges. Yes Solar did a fantastic job of keeping us informed, discussing component alternatives, managing the installation and providing support to us in dealing with our utility company. They were patient, professional and responsive to our many questions along the way. We recommend Yes Solar without reservation to anyone considering a transition to solar power.

Solar system working well after nearly a year

I've been generating a lot more power than I'm using - so much so that I plan to buy an electric car. And so far it's like I've planted 76 trees! I've had no issues and the online monitoring is very easy to use. I'm very glad I used Yes for my new house - previously had used them ten years ago and their services and warranties are even better than beforel

Yes Solar Solutions is exceptional!

Yes Solar Solutions has done an outstanding job of putting solar panels on our second Chatham County home. We partnered with Yes in 2015 for panels on a previous home. Our new system went live in May and is preforming flawlessly. Each Yes employee who contacted us was super professional, friendly, and respectful. We were advised often of the progress on our project and always knew who to contact if we had a question. Kathy and Stew Miller, company owners, are invested in moving NC toward a sustainable energy future. They work with NC Warn and other organizations to promote solar friendly legislation and to keep a constant watchful eye on Duke Energy as they submit various proposals to the North Carolina Utilities Commission in an attempt to slow solar panel installations by making it less affordable. A group-purchasing program for 11 local communities, Solarize the Triangle, launched on August 10. This program reduces the cost of solar installation substantially depending on how many families and businesses participate. Yes Solar Solutions was selected as the installer for this regional program. I highly recommend Yes Solar Solutions. Their customer service and knowledge of solar systems is beyond compare. You won’t be disappointed. If I could, I’d give them 10 stars!!
