Help after install

Rudy and his crew did a great job getting my system up and running. I was building in an area with no electrical service so Rudy installed the generator in advance for me to use. We were using a new generation battery, so after the install there were some manufacturing issues that were not due to installation. Rudy was on top of this working with the manufacturer and went above and beyond to get the issues resolved and me back in service. It has been a year now since the install and things are working great.

After several months of research and talking with multiple solar installers, I chose Wright-Way. Not only are they local, but their excellent reputation and 5-year "bumper-to-bumper" warranty stands out above all the rest. Included in our install was a back-up generator, and a hybrid water heater for greater year-round energy savings. I did not know how I would feel about the hot water heater, but now that it is up & running, I am pleased to say that I love it! Rudy and his team went above and beyond to complete our full install in a timely, well-coordinated and highly professional manner. The crew was friendly, courteous and never seemed bothered by questions. Post-install, Rudy took his time to thoroughly explain the monitoring and care of the PV array and inverter, and the care and maintenance requirements of the generator and hot water heater. My husband and I feel very comfortable after the final walk through, and we have every confidence that should anything go wrong, Wright-Way will assist us in any way possible. Everyone that we have dealt with at Wright-Way, including the office staff, has been professional and courteous. I have never been left hanging for answers or assistance through the entire process. Great experience with Wright-Way Solar Tech.

Of the three quotes I received, Wright-Way's was the most competitive by a wide margin. Rudy's philosophy of trying to get a homeowner's electric bill to a zero or low average over the course of a year makes more sense than overbuilding home solar in an effort to meet your highest usage months, which would create an excess the rest of the year. This approach lowered my upfront cost, as did Wright-Way's knowledgable use of local incentives and federal rebates. In addition, they are a local company with lower overhead and Rudy's long-standing industry contacts enable them to get good prices on panels. As a result the incentives paid half the cost. I had a good experience, the array is paid for, and now I don't mind getting my electric bill.

Rudy knows this tech inside and out. He explains the solar system components and recommended green modifications with great patience and in superb detail. Angela and the office team were awesome to work with as well. James and the install team did a great job, especially considering the challenges they met and overcame along the way. We’ve been on line only a bit more than three months and are absolutely delighted with the results. Again, solar done the WRIGHT-WAY is the ONLY we recommend.

Still very happy after 1 1/2 years of solar operation

Rudy has been very good to work with during proposal phase, installation and post construction support. He worked multiple scenarios to help me make the most efficient and cost effective investment. He took the time to answer all my technical questions and made the Interconnection agreement process go very smoothly. Project scope included tank less hot water heaters and a whole house generator in addition to a 15 kw solar system. Rudy and his crews were very professional, furnished quality equipment and good workmanship. System has been in service over 1 1/2 years and is performing well. Rudy always has been and continues to be responsive to any issues or questions. When the time comes to upgrade or make any changes I will go with Rudy again.

Professional, Knowledgeable, and Creative!

Yesterday was an exciting day for us! Why? We got our 1st NEGATIVE electric bill! We were told this would happen after 1 year but it’s been 6 months and last month wasn’t all that sunny all the time. It all started from a friend that told me to get solar. I gave him every excuse under the sun, but I let him get me a bid anyway because he was a friend I would do anything for. I got the bid for our ~13KW system. I laughed. I said thanks, but no thanks. Unfortunately, it did peak my curiosity and I went to one of those sites and asked for bids. I got 4 more bids from all over North East Texas companies. They all gave me similar bids for ~13KW systems for around the same price. I still wasn’t satisfied, so I tried one more local company because I truly believe in buying local small business whenever possible, even if it is a little more expensive. I found Wright Way. Not only did Rudy come to my house, but he answered probably 30 questions I had via phone or email promptly in a straight forward manner unlike the other sales pitches I had received. He came to my house not only to do an full assessment including roof line, tree coverage, attic insulation, and energy usage, but also came back when he delivered me two proposals. One of the proposals I sort of demanded based on my previous experiences, and another one that he had developed. He also proposed to me the same ~13KW system in line with everyone else which I specifically asked for because I was still ignorant and I had been told by over 6 “experts” that is what I needed. What really intrigued me, was that Rudy listened to me. Rudy only gave me that first proposal because I specifically asked for it. He also brought me what HE recommended for our situation, knowing that of course overall cost would be a deciding factor. I open it up, and I see ~7KW system. Again, I laughed… “Really Rudy?” Rudy knew the kind of person that I was, so he explained to me more about our home electricity and what actually consumes the electricity. He gave ME homework to do since I had been asking all of the wrong questions. After doing extensive research, and actually talking to 3 previous customers of his, we pulled the trigger. The cost was still an issue, but after doing extensive math, showing the savings in electricity usage each month would more than cover the loan payments, it was a no brainer and by this point, I trusted Rudy’s recommendation. Before install Rudy came over a 3rd time to check some specifics because what we were going to do was not only install solar strategically to maximize sun, but also replace the water heaters to the hybrid Rheem water heaters of which I had never heard. Installation was quick and the team was great. I would highly recommend them to anybody! (Original review truncated due to length limitations).

Rudy...and his crew at "Wright-Way Solar" was definitely the correct solar company. We are on the grid and have a net-meter. It is a fun thing to watch the meter run backward. Rudy gave us 100% of his attention and was aleways available when we called him. Our place is about 3.5hrs from Tyler, so, I thought it was going to be a challenge, it wasn't. Rudy made things easy. Rudy spent quite a bit of time over the phone explaining things in easy to understand terms. We did a great deal of research before selecting a Solar Company and found it in Rudy, “Wright-Way”. We took a trip to go visit his shop/office to make sure we were not getting into a deal with a shotty business. Rudy, his Team and “Wright-Way” were all top-notch ... The experts and a fair price

Rudy Wright and his team of installers are outstanding. He helped us get some state rebate money to offset the cost of the panels and installation. His prices were upfront and not inflated with a rebate that I got from someone else. He and his crew did an outstanding job of installation and, just recently, a solar panel cleaning job. Top notch.

One of the smartest decisions we've made

The initial cost outlay was hefty, but so have been the savings since Wright-Way installed our system. There are numerous reasons to go with solar, but just as important as making the decision to install it, is the company you choose for installation and support. I'm so glad we went with Wright-Way. The few times I've had questions, they were on the spot, answering and/or handling things.

In a word, integrity sums up Wright-Way Solar, Rudy and his team of professionals! We have an off grid installation with storage and a backup generator that performs perfectly and Rudy was 100% accessible, before, during and after the installation. The time and attention to our unique needs, interest and requirements that Rudy gave us exceeded all expectations. We retired to property in Anderson County from the Houston area so everything we did was from a distance, had finite timelines and was often complicated and frustrating dealing with various contractors throughout the project. This was not the case with Rudy and his team and we only wish we had found him from the beginning. Rudy spent the time to understand our needs taking into consideration both immediate and future expansion plans. He provided exceptional guidance in equipment choices and options fully explaining performance capabilities and real world expectations and budgeting options. Could not be more pleased

From the first time I contacted Rudy Wright with Wright Way Solar Technologies until my system was installed I was very much impressed with the professional way he took care of me. Anytime I had a question (and believe me I had plenty of questions) he had the answers. My advice to anyone who is looking to go solar, take the time to shop. If you are going to invest this much money you want to have a complete package ie: professional and knowledgeable staff, a system that is top rated, installed properly, fair price, and service after installation. I can say without a doubt that Wright Way is a complete package. I did shop around and Rudy Wright could not have done more to make me feel I was getting the best of the best of anyone I talked with. I have no doubt that I will have many years of reliable solar energy and if I have any issues Rudy will be there to take care of it. Professional and courteous. A great experience

After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at getting quotes, and getting bad or unreliable information, I found Wright Way. I could tell immediately that Rudy knew it stuff inside and outside. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining things before ever coming to an agreement. He and his guys were professional and did a great job, and the system is so far performing as intended and designed. Highly recommend Wright Way.

A fairly complex 20KW hybrid system

After reviewing solar installers on this site and also using the Energy Sage site, it was clear to me that the majority of installers only specialized in grid tie systems. If you wanted something more in terms of complexity, good luck. Nearly all of the installers that provided some form of battery backup used almost universally LG Chem Resu 10 batteries. These types of batteries were severely limited and not a superior battery chemistry and could only have a maximum of two batteries per installation. We wanted a highly robust battery backup that also had future expansion capability. With that criteria in mind, the choices narrowed down dramatically and Wright-Way came out on top. Rudy knows what he is doing and the system that was designed took into account high demand loads, along with critical loads to provide continuous power to all critical circuits in a grid down scenario. We have been so satisfied with the work, we will have him back next year to do our planned battery expansion to provide a total of 900 amp hours (46KW) of battery capacity. Although Rudy can install a regular grid tie system, he clearly specializes in the area that most installers will not even tackle, namely hybrid systems. His installers were very professional and polite. Would I/we use Wright-Way again? We already are.

I'm so glad I found Rudy! Trying to find a solar installer on the internet was a nightmare. A friend recommended Rudy and he was everything he was everything I expected. From the very first meeting Rudy was straight forward and very informative. He showed me ways to cut my electric use so I didn't have to have such a big solar system, things the other solar companies said weren't possible. Of all the installers I've talked to Rudy is by far the most knowledgeable and the only one who's only concern was getting a signature on a contract. I love my system and would highly recommend Wright Way Solar.

Very professional, from the bid to the install, even the elec co-op, noted the install quality. Awesome value, competitive price, honest and responsive. Could not ask for more...we have a 29kw system with Batt backup system, large system, not cheap, but worth every penny!

Great installation and service - beyond expectation

Each and every moment, I was given complete information concerning the installation: what and how it would occur, how it would affect our energy usage; the other things - such as types of household appliances, etc, times of day for best and most effectual usage, that would provide the most benefit,along with other means of saving in the installation itself. At no time did I feel pressured or forced to accept extras beyond what I was comfortable with. If anything, I was left at complete ease, feeling and knowing that the Manager and Owner of this business was obviously concerned about my own well-being to receive the most efficient service for the least cost.

He couldn't have done better ...

He was able to begin installation sooner than promised. The finished product looks great. The exterior industrial grade electrical work they did looks stylish. The workers kept a clean job site and fully cleaned up, leaving my place neater than before they began. The workers were knowledgeable and helpful. Other than wishing that it was free, I don't know what they could have done better. I give them my highest recommendation because of a job superbly done.

Wright-Way Solar

Rudy Wright, the owner of Wright-Way Solar installed my first system and panels about a year and half ago. Since then, I'd added additional panels and inverters and he will be adding some more by the end of this year. Every new installation can have a few "bugs", which I had some minor ones, but Rudy helped work through them and the system has been working great.
