Overview of V3 Electric

V3 was founded as a response to the stagnation within the energy industry. We are California’s largest local solar company and intend to become the nation’s best energy provider. We believe in choice; Americans should be able to choose where and how they buy their energy, the same way we choose to buy everything else. Without the driving force of competition, utility providers have become slow, overpriced monopolies. Join us in revolutionizing the energy industry and take back the power of choice with solar power. This is the future of energy. This is our way of life.

Highly unreccomended. Dealt with years of roof leaks from a poor installation and still not resolved. Couple months ago solar completely stopped working. Had to call four times in three weeks to finally get a service tech scheduled. Tech not available for another month. Basically an entire summer of paying PG&E rates. Looking to cancel my contract now. No fun having to contact legal services.

Absolute worst

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. It has been a fiasco from the lying sales pitch, 5 month over due project time, zero communication, production and monthly cost nowhere close to promised. Our latest issue, typical of V3, is a potential arcing or fire inside one of their electrical boxes on our wall. We sent photos of the torched box and requested emergency service on Friday and still havent seen a tech at our house on Monday afternoon. Safety hazard and we still can’t get proper service???!!! This is V3, period. Don’t fall for it

Do not do business with this company. Still awaiting for the tech to call us and schedule service. Whenever we call they notate the issue, say a tech will call and schedule an appointment. And that’s where it ends. No contact at all from V3 until the next time you call asking them to please service the panels you are paying for them to service. They’re supposed to be monitoring my system but panels have been off for months and no contact from V3. I call and get the run around and I guess they just hope I forget I’m paying crazy electricity prices and not being able to utilize our solar panels we are STILL PAYING FOR. Do not do business with this company.

Waste of time

Waste of time. Spend close to an hour explaining how much cheaper our bills will be , that first need an inspection blah blah and that there will be no hidden charges or upfront cost at any time. They hound you by text to see if your available and I still didn't get called until a week later just to find out that I was approved and that it would only cost $5500 on our part to have it installed.

We decided to go with V-3 and Bolin Roofing. signed a dual contract for Solar and roofing combo approximately in the summer of 2022. Roofing messaged V-3 several times asking, if they would like them to install brackets during installation of Roofing with no response and the job for Roofing Was completed around March of 2023. We were not told until Roofing was done that this had taken place and I was not happy because I could’ve reached out as well to get an answer cause I’d rather have had Roofing place the brackets for the solar company. I notified Roofing that they had created some damages to our property during the installation of the roof . The owner Tommy came out, accepted responsibility, but only came and completed one of the damages. Solar then had completed their job the end of summer of 2023. I was told by Calaveras County In 2024 that when installing gutters you have to provide means of gutter protection. The code was implemented in 2016 which Roofing never notified us, never asked us and we’re never placed during Installation of the gutters. I notified Roofing of the code, which is R337.5.4 under Roofing Guards. The owner came out. I spoke to him and he agreed that they would install the gutter guards for free. He said he would get back to me with a date. When i did not hear back, I notified him back in May 2025/ June 2025/And August 2025, never to hear from the Roofer again I reached out to V-3 made a complaint along with the plates of my solar were lifting up, that was in the beginning of 2025. They failed to follow through. I called again and it wasn’t until July 2025 Omnidian was involved. Once following through these claims on a weekly basis so I could continue to work with them because I kept slipping through the cracks finally after sending numerous times pictures and videos of the damages, they finally completed their end, which was the solar end and in August she told me to reach out to Roofing again, which I did second time in August 2025 to no follow through. When I initially filed the claim in regards to the roof, I had asked if they could come and put a drone up to show me the entire roof after V3 completed their job to make sure there was no damage or existing damage of the roof because I’m on a five year window for my warranty on the roof . We are now March 2026 and yet to get a committed follow through with The promise that V-3 Would send their people, not Roofing, but their people to come and do a full analysis and presented back to the company, the request that I was asking of V3 now, because I’m no longer getting the roofers to respond. Now they’re walking back their initial statements of sending a team from V3 to physically send out a team to do their own analysis and present it back to the Company and basically pass the buck and wipe their hands clean. I feel as both companies are trying to run out the clock on the 5 year warranty. So I say to anybody who’s looking to get solar from V-3 and your option for roofing is Bolin Roofing my opinion based solely on my experience with these two companies, I would not!

Misleading salesman and terrible customer service

Was promised a sufficient system to get rid of my electric bill with a Solar discount program. Unfortunately the quick easy process I was sold on required seven visits in six months to do. Once they finally turned it on, I started getting two bills for the solar and then from my electric company. I found out after research on my own since they don’t answer the phones or help you out in any way shape or form that my batteries were vastly undersized, and I was buying power from the electric company still. I’ve asked for help multiple times, but they basically told me too bad you’re stuck with what you got. I would not use this company.

Zero accountability, Zero Leadership 5 years ago this was a much different company, it was one I would even recommend. Now you are connected to a call center with no way to talk to anyone who has any power or knows what is going on. V3's new way of doing things is that someone will call you back at some time eventually. They installed solar panels on my roof which the roof ended up need to be replace before 5 years. So they uninstalled the panels at a discount since they acknowledged that it was not meet there minimum viability of a roof standard. The roof was replaced within the week and then it took them over 6 weeks to reinstall. They showed up saying they were only going to install half of it because the other half should already be installed which it wasn't. Then tried to blame us that it was our fault because those weren't V3 panels, which was wrong. Then they mis-measured so they stopped and said we will be back within the week maybe if there schedule person cancels on someone else. No one to call, no one to fix the situation just wait to see what happens. The employee's said they couldn't get a hold of their field manager. I have no way of contacting anyone to solve this issue just wait a week and see if someone calls me or shows up. Leadership at this company are cowards that hide behind customer service so they never have to speak to a customer and aren't held accountable at there poor planning and management. The first time they installed panels there was a thunder storm and the only way I was able to get a hold of anyone was through my sales rep. the employee's were scared and I said that they needed to get off the roof if V3 wasn't covering the liability if something happened. The sales rep called the field supervisor and made him take his guys down till the storm passed. Issue like this happen over and over again. Do not recommend. The photos below show v3 quality with miss measuring, inability to match panels, and patching your roof of there mistakes without your knowledge or approval.

I've had at least three different incidents of V3 salespeople come to my house. All three times I told them I was not interested, and don't come back. The latest incident was by a salesman named Jonah. I was working on my truck and really didn't have the time, but he was very pushy. I finally agreed to speak to one of their engineers just to get him to go away. The appointment was for the next day at 3 PM. We received a call from Jonah stating that the engineer was running behind schedule and that he would arrive between 4 and 4:30. 4:30 came and went. We contacted Jonah and told him to cancel the appointment, and that we were not moving forward. He persisted by texting my wife three more times wanting to reschedule the appointment. I told him to leave us alone and not to contact us again. This harassment is in called for. No means no.

Sales Harassment-Upland

I am writing to formally address an ongoing issue with your sales employee, William, who has continued to harass us despite our clear request to stop. On several occasions, we have informed him that we are not interested in his services and explicitly requested that he not return. However, he came back on both Friday and today, disregarding our prior request. During his visits, he falsely claimed to be a government employee, stating that he was required to inform us about rising Edison rates. I am unsure if this is part of your employee training, but his actions of misrepresenting himself as a government official and ignoring our clear instructions are completely unacceptable. We reiterated that we do not want him or anyone from your company on our property, yet he continued to insist that another salesperson might visit if there are any changes with the rates. Please ensure that your sales team, particularly those in your Upland office, are properly trained on the legal guidelines for sales practices in California. Misrepresentation and failure to respect a customer's request to not solicit are serious issues. For your reference, we have recorded this interaction, and we made William aware of this fact during the conversation. We expect immediate action on this matter and do not want any further contact from your company.

False in misleading business practices

I am incredibly disappointed in all areas of this company. I was told that I would be purchasing my electricity through a hem and at a lower rate than PG&E. I was shown my monthly usage and promised my system would produce enough for my needs. However this was incredibly misleading and is not the case. I now pay two electric bills. One to PG&E and one to V3. This is one of my issues. I was never told that I was required to have WiFi for the system. I now have another bill for that. The instigation was incomplete and the rep i initially spoke with told me my panel would be replaced. At the first power outage I called V3 because I was having an issue. It was after hours and I was directed to call the after hours emergency number. I did so and no one ever called me back. I have had issues with the system and apparently who ever installed it wired it backwards and it was showing I was as drawing from the grid and not sending to the grid. I feel lied to and cheated. I hate this company

Explained us how we will be saving money on our trip bill. be already had 22 panels and threw up bill was around 1500. so be signed up for eight more panels and battery. it took them almost a year to install. But the biggest scam be found out this month August 2024. When we received a bill from PG&E for $586. on top of this we are paying hundred dollars to this company. What happened was we were at NEM 2 and because they installed more than 10% of the grid, it automatically changed us to NEm 3. so now we are struggling to find out what’s gonna happen to us because our bill is 500% more. OMg for the scam artists. They did not care that this would happen. It will change us to three, which is a rip off from PG&E. Now instead of getting through a bill from PG&E, we will be getting bill from them every month. God knows how much it’s going to be every month. Please do not use this company. I am in process of seeking legal help, and I will be complaining to BBB. it is a total mess. It is a disaster. if you want to save yourself, please do not ever let V 3 scam you. BE WARNED: DO NOT USE V3 (a solar panel company) FOR YOUR SOLAR PANELS PROJECT. It all started at the end of January 2023 when a salesman sold me into adding additional solar panels through V3. He promised that within three months the panels would be installed and operational. After signing the contract and sending a deposit, I spent more than 3 months trying to get in touch with V3 to find out when the installation would take place. After several calls, texts and emails, I finally received an email in August 2023 (7 months later) stating that I was scheduled for installation. V3 installed the panels on my roof with virtually no permits from the HOA, Riverside County, or from the city of Temecula. Given that no permits were received, the panels remained non-operational. It was not until the beginning of March 2024 and after I paid 90% of the remaining balance that the panels were turned on. It took V3 almost 14 months to finish the job. My next door neighbor used a different company. It took 3 months to get the panels installed and working. The culture of this company is based on taking advantage of customers by using very aggressive salespeople. The employees that I interacted with are dishonest, liars and have no integrity.

Customer service, managers and all in office personnel are a compete joke, they do not communicate with each other resulting in us having to contact them very often for the simplest bits of information. The company overall is solely in the business of screwing their customers over, nothing else. Customer Service here is non-existent. We rushed to get our home reroofed for the solar install and they damaged our brand new roof. I wonder if they get credit from the government for installation of solar panels. Otherwise, why would they take the time and cost to do the installs if they don't bother getting them connected.
