Great service and pleased with install.

A+ for Texas Solar Outfitters

Texas Solar Outfitters (TSO) is a technically sophisticated, mechanically capable company of the highest business integrity. We are particularly pleased with the system they helped us design and build. They are certainly one of the best companies that we worked with when building our new home. We dealt with several other solar companies and unfortunately their numbers were soft, at best, their designs and customer support were disappointing. TSO helped us understand solar economic incentives, and they worked with us and Kyocera, to design a 26 panel system with inverters in the panels. After the installation was complete, they continued to support our system utilization. They have also helped us monitor in real-time and optimize our panels’ performance. We couldn’t be happier with the installation or its performance. We have recommended TSO to several of our friends and they are as happy with them as we are.

Very good experience

Our overall experience was wonderful. They handled everything from initial visit, proposal, engineering, permitting, installation and startup. Cal Morton was a joy to work with: very responsive, knew the technology (I checked), and helped correct the few minor issues that cropped up. The entire process was really very painless! Cal spent quality time with me during the final startup. His explanations were very good. The system is completely automatic and a joy to monitor the iPhone app and/or website. During the first month of operation our electric bill was 25-30% lower! It's so nice to see such a cost effective way to reduce cost and help with the environment. My wife and are very pleased. Great work Texas Solar Outfitters!

Rural Installation

Our situation was a special challenge for any solar installer. We wanted the panels installed on a workshop located 145 feet from our home. In addition, we were one of the first members of our electrical co-op to "go solar" which brought with it special challenges. TSO provided exactly what was promised. Their installers and electricians were professional and stayed on schedule. In addition, TSO stayed involved from start to finish, including working with our co-op to provide all of the documentation that they required. We are very pleased with TSO and the service they provided.

Great job - no hassles everything works as promised

2303 Bauer, Houston

The process was relatively painless. Communication was professional and respectful. Very 21st century company. The answers to our questions were realistic. TSO handled the permits and design. The planning was thorough, the documentation is easy to follow. The installation crews (electrical and panel) were very professional and informative. The installation went smoothly and was completed in a day. The system passed inspection the first time.

Howes residence

Nothing short of a positive experience from a professional solar installer. The first contact with Walker Fair was what I would expect from an experienced company in the business. As I moved through each step in the process they stayed in contact and provided a reasonable time frame to complete our 5.2 KW system. I had taken many solar courses through SEI and new the professional credentials of Texas Solar Outfitters put them above and beyond the competition. We look forward to adding another 5KW solar pergola in the coming years. Thanks for your help!

Outstanding responsiveness and customer service and support. Painless process

solar install

Working with solar outfitters has been a dream. This was the very easiest part of building the house. The sales rep was on top of everything and the techs were courteous and extremely well trained. I had total confidence in them from start to finish.

Grid tied system - rooftop - 26 panels

They installed a 26 panel solar system on my roof - took them just a few days. The system was just as advertised and is working perfectly. The system was explained clearly and they answered all my questions. The more I have learned about solar systems the happier I am with mine. I got quality panels and inverters (REC and Enphase), the roof looks great and the inspection and connection agreement went smoothly. Couldn't have been a better install.

5 Kw DC system

Texas Solar Outfitters did and excellent job of installing our system. I am a contractor, and I was impressed by their work: they were courteous, clean, neat and timely. Our crew paid close attention to details to make the installation really clean. They handled all permitting and inspections. The hand-over was smooth.

7Kw solar system

7 Kw solar system installed. The whole process was really smooth and only had people working at my property for 2 days.

half a megawatt-hour later...

Had a trouble-free, professional installation. System is running well. I specified American-made panels, and was accommodated with no problems.

27.5 kW install

Texas Solar Outfitters where fantastic! They are professional, well organized, prompt, and very thorough. It was a great experience and Walker Fair really stays on top of the project and makes sure everything goes smoothly. We are very pleased with the product and the install.

My Home Installation

Texas Solar Panels provided efficient, reliable installation service. They performed thorough evaluation of my roof design, and quickly designed a system. Installation was performed with minimal hassle. Cal Morton is my primary contact and he is a pleasure to work with.

Houston Residential Install

The whole process was extremely pleasant from start to finish (except perhaps for writing the checks). They work to earn your business and that is so great! I did plenty of research before investing in solar. The salesperson I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to answer my questions and provide me with information. Calls were return promptly and everyone involved in the process could not have been more courteous. (I even got good advice on growing my tomato plants from one of the installers.) I was involved in planning where the conduit and electrical boxes would go and it looks good. The inspectors and everyone involved showed up when they said they would. When completed I was given a very well organized book with a lot of good information on my system. My system has only been running only a few days and I am still learning about it. I have not gone online yet to see all there is to see. All said and done Texas Solar Outfitters exceeded expectations.

Working Sunshine in Spring, TX

All staff we encountered were great. There are actually live people answering the phone! If you do have to leave a voicemail (rare) you are usually called back within an hour or two. Walker was so patient and really too as much time as we needed and answered our hundreds of questions as we made our decision between a ground or roof mount. He also made great informed recommendations which met our needs and our budget. There were no surprises and the price was as expected. The installers showed up and worked. We had our system installed in much less time than we thought it would take. The after care has been great as well. They still answer the phone and questions even after they have your money. The entire process has been great. We will definitely use this company again when we expand the system.

Travis High school

TSO worked with us at the high school to implement a great installation. Attempting to install this amongst all of the bureaucracy that comes with a public institution provided quite a challenge, but TSO (and especially Cal Morton) were incredibly professional and patient in navigating through all of these hurdles.

Own Your Energy with Texas Solar Outfitters - Pearland

A very pleasant experience from start to end. Texas Solar Outfitters was exceptional at procuring the required permits and inspections (City of Pearland, TX Windstorm, HOA, T&D). We opted for the US made PV panels from a US company and Cal was very accommodating in changing the project to meet our desires. The installation crew was large enough to get the job done quickly.

Installers Revies

The installers were very professional and courteous.

Texas Solar Outfitters

I am extremely pleased with the installation of Solar panels in my house by Texas Solar outfitters. Mr. Cal Morton assessed my roof and gave me complete details of the system and was willing to answer all the questions I had for him. The installation was done very professionally by his technicians and was on schedule. The price was reasonable by looking at the long term advantages and the return for my money. Good quality LG solar panels and Enphase Micro inverters were used in the installaion. All the installers and the Electricians were very courteous and friendly. They also installed the Envoy and the software to monitor the generation of Power which can be monitored on my computer and Smart Phone. Overall I was highly satisfied with Texas Solar Outfitters and would certainly recommend them to anybody. I would encourage more homeowners to install Solar Panels which produces clean energy and helps the environment by reducing the carbon footprint. Think Solar Chittur Balasubramanian

Positive experience

Texas Solar Outfitters did a great job on our installation. All personnel were friendly and professional, questions were answered promptly, job was done as specified. I highly recommend them.

Saving money AND the planet

Texas Solar Outfitters is a great company to work with. We recently finished building a new house, and started talking with them early in the construction process. They answered all of our questions and designed the perfect system for my home. We ended up deciding to expand our system after their initial proposal (but before it actually got installed) and they were very accommodating in getting the revisions in place. I was very pleased to find that solar power has finally become affordable (though not cheap) and strangely am actually excited each month to get my electric bill! I have not yet had a summer electric bill, but thus far my solar system is generating MORE power than the original estimates and is around 85% of my total bill. We are saving a ton and LOVE the system! I don't understand why there is not solar on every single roof in Houston...so much sunlight being wasted. The sales staff at Texas Solar Outfitters are great, the installers were prompt and professional. Overall we are thrilled and 100% recommend TSO to everyone!

Seamless Electric Power

We wanted consistent power to help us through outages. We looked at portable generators and decided we couldn't count on getting gasoline to run them. We looked at whole-house gas generators and decided it was noisy plus a lot of $ plus the daily cost of gas and not used most of its life. So we decided on a small solar off-grid system with battery storage that would give us sun power all the time for certain dedicated circuits and we're very happy with it.The neighborhood had an outage recently & we didn't even notice it--computer ran seamlessly--no downtime at all. The offset of reducing our power costs is an added bonus to the back up system that generators would not have provided us. We are totally pleased with our decision to go this way for power back up.

C'mon Sunshine!

They installed as promised, worked with our schedule, and the price did not change from the quote. The installation is aesthetically pleasing and functioning with our generator.
