Stellar Solar

Great to work with

We have been extremely happy with our experience with Stellar Solar. We had our first installation done in 2015 and recently added more panels. Each time they were professional, courteous, timely and went above and beyond in making sure we were happy with the equipment. They worked with us in coordinating the install while other work was being done at our home. They have always been quick to respond any questions or inquiries.

Excellent & Happy with Stellar Solar

Referred by my brother, as I was speaking with a few other solar providers. I was originally thinking about one of those no cost programs to save on the initial costs, but after running the numbers, it made more sense to purchase. Tom Woods was my initial contact, and the whole experience was terrific. However, the solar got switched on a little later than expected due to oversight in paperwork. Stellar made the experience a customer first experience by covering my electric costs due to this delay and have won me over. If you are looking for a referral, I give all stars available to Stellar ... with thanks to Tom, Jeff and the team. I'm keeping an eye on production, and thrilled I won't be writing a check to SCE for so much use of my AC during these hot hot hot times. Great job, well done. I'm a happy Stellar Solar customer.

Honest company with a great product and service

I highly recommend Stellar Solar if you're thinking about getting solar panels for your home. At first I was very skeptical about the entire process, especially about the installation and warranty of the panels. The Stellar Solar staff were highly trained and answered all of my concerns and delivered on the promises. The panels they offered were of high quality and had the warranty I was looking for. The same goes for the workmanship on the installation. I liked the fact that I could track the progress of the installation with specified milestones given beforehand. The job was professionally done and completed in a timely manner. I've had my solar system for the past 2 months and everything's running smoothly. I'm very happy that I had my solar system installed by Stelar Solar.

Hire the Professionals

I am surprised that it has already been five years since we decided to install solar panels and contracted with Stellar Solar. At that time we were getting daily calls and an overload of mail and emails desiring our business. After getting bids and researching various companies, we chose Stellar Solar. The team was professional and answered all our questions in an easy-to-understand, timely manner. Installation of the panels went smoothly and efficiently. For the past few years, we have had no concern about the cost of electricity. The number of panels installed has been sufficient for our needs. We are extremely satisfied with Stellar Solar.

Roof-Top Solar installation by Stellar Solar

Finally went solar! With electric rates going up and San Diego sun it only makes sense. I contracted Stellar Solar of San Diego to install my system. They came highly recommended from a very tech-savy friend and have been rated The Best Solar Solar Company 8 out of the last 10 years in San Diego and highly rated in SolarReviews. They also had the best price of the other contractors I reviewed. My installation was quick and professional and I was on line within a week. I was also able to get a free panel in the array. I now have 10 panels putting out around 23 kWh of power so far in July. And I don't have to pay an electric bill for a year, if then. It's important too because the more local generation and supply we have the less we will need long dangerous power lines that can fall and spark wildfires. But hurry, the California Utility Commission has provisionally approved allowing the utilities to charge roof-top solar systems with a high monthly fee to try to discourage competition. If your system is installed before it takes effect (if it does) then you will be covered by the current net metering agreement. In San Diego I can recommend Stellar Solar whole heartedly.

Best Solar Company!

Installed my solar system years ago and they were great from consult to installation. They were so great that I referred some family to them and had 2 other systems installed by them.

Great choice for residential solar

I was pleased with the process of getting solar panels up and running at our home; from start to finish, it went more quickly and smoothly than I'd anticipated. It was important to me that the panels and inverter be installed on my detached garage instead of the house. Robert and team worked to incorporate that into the plans without charging extra, which I took as a sign of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. During the installation, I also had a strong preference for where and how the wiring should be run within the garage and to the service panel on the house, which Michael accommodated much to my satisfaction. Overall, I found the entire Stellar team committed, responsive and responsible. I hadn't received quotes from other installers, in large part because of the favorable reputation Stellar enjoys. From my experience, they've earned that rep.

Absolutely great experience

What can I say about Stellar Solar that hasn't already been said. When we purchased our home, the previous owner installed solar with Stellar. When we transferred the title to us, we contact Stellar to let them know and set up an appointment for a tutorial for our system. They came out and were very knowledgeable and assisted us perfectly. I was initially solicited by another solar group that works here in San Diego (won't say who) who told me of the benefits of the SGIP program and having powerwalls for backup power. They quoted me a price and to be thorough I contacted Stellar to see if they also installed powerwalls. To my great joy, they did and offered a price $3,000.00 less than their competitor. Connor, Serena and their office staff is professional, courteous and made this process a breeze. Additionally, their installers/inspectors were professional and always available to answer questions or discuss concerns. Overall, they deserve 10 stars, not 5. Use them, use them now!! You won't be sorry.

Stellar Solar is Stellar

After getting 3 quotes for solar, we decided to go with Stellar Solar, and they really have owned up to their name! We worked with Brian throughout, where he explained everything in depth, answered all of our questions patiently, and kept us up to date throughout the process. We were up in the air about updating our electrical panel, and decided not to do it based on his recommendations that it wouldn't be needed to run solar. I never felt like I was being up-charged, and he was trying to find the best plan for our home. They got us scheduled quickly, worked fast on the day of install, and communicated throughout the whole process. We were kept in the loop about the inspection, and minutes after we got our PTO from the city, they had our solar on and were monitoring. They helped us get set up with the best TOU plan with SDG&E and now we are enjoying our AC without the high cost of electricity. Thank you Stellar Solar!!

Stellar Solar is Awesome!

Far and away the best experience I have ever had with a contractor of any kind. There are several steps in the process of installing solar power, which may seem intimidating so some. Stellar Solar guided us through each step with outstanding communication and without any prompting from us. They were very professional in all aspects of the project. I was particularly impressed that they had different people work with us in every phase of the project (sales, project management, installation, obtaining the city permit, and obtaining utility approval) and every single person performed in a truly professional manner. We interviewed many companies - some of which I feel were less than completely honest. Many want to re-roof your house as part of the solar project, one wanted us to sign a contract before performing a site inspection, and one offered to give us a better deal after we told him that we had signed a contract with another company. Stellar Solar has none of these issues. Further, they had the best price. After the installation we had a problem - not with the panels - but with the monitoring App. Stellar Solar sent out a technician who quickly resolved the problem. I highly recommend Stellar Solar.

Great Service and Price

I researched numerous Solar companies and received multiple bids. Stellar Solar was the most responsive and provided the best price. Dave Gersz provided valuable information and constant communication throughout the process. He worked with me to ensure that my system was built to meet our current and future energy needs. The literature he provided was easy to review and understand. When an issue arose following installation of the electrical panel, Gary Takahashi went above and beyond to resolve the issue and improve some of the wiring in our home. I'm very happy with the end result and the system is easy to monitor and looks great! I highly recommend Stellar Solar.

Positive Recommendation

STELLAR SOLAR installed my new solar equipment a few weeks ago and it was an excellent experience. They kept me well informed and installed my panels in a discreet location. The process took one full day with a variety of workers and I was impressed with how courteous every single worker was.

Very impressed with service and employees

We were referred to Stellar Solar by a family member. From our first experience we were very impressed. They were very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our start to finish was quicker than estimated. The employees were very professional while they were at our home. We are very happy we used Stellar Solar.

Great experience, highly recommend!

Amazing experience with Stellar Solar! We recently moved into a new home with an existing, undersized solar system. We got three bids to expand it, and Stellar Solar was the most professional, most clearly-explained and best value. Installation was amazing - the roofers ran into some unexpected problems with our existing system, and Stellar Solar took care of that completely for us! Their crew was professional, friendly, and courteous. They took excellent care of our roof and property. The met/beat all of their timelines and we were up and running with our new system in two weeks. What a great experience, I definitely recommend them!

Great service

This company was recommended thru a friend. Very happy with my decision.

Fantastic all around

I had an excellent experience with Stellar Solar and would recommend them to my family and friends (and have). I did my research and got proposals from three companies. This was by far the best product and the best service. Every person with whom I have dealt is so helpful, knowledgeable and very quick to respond. I couldn't be happier with my decision. This is a big decision and you want to go with the right company -- this is the one.

Stellar Solar Great Experience

Communication and the options of several brands of solar panels really made it a great purchase. They gave me a planned outline of time estimates for the process and finished the entire process way ahead of schedule. Glad I went with them.

Great Service

We were very satisfied with Stellar from start to finish. Our representative Marc Cirelli was very professional and custom tailored our proposal to fit our needs. Install process was smooth without any unnecessary hassles.

Ready to do the job without the power pitch

they have been good. Marc Cirelli made it happen I'm really happy with the system

Very professional and knowledgeable solar company

Best purchase! I am a realtor and I’ve seen many poor solar systems with roof damage. Marc Cirelli patiently explained the technology of the system and backup. He surveyed my property for the best application not the most expensive. We are very pleased with the service and highly skilled installation crew.

Solar install on new San Marcos house

Another positive experience with Stellar Solar. They installed solar on our old house in 2015 so when we moved this summer, they were the first call we made. Once again, Marc Cirelli provided excellent customer service. I told him I wanted to move quickly and he made it happen. The install was quick and painless and we received our permission to operate yesterday. For reference, I have neighbors who contracted with other companies well before I did and they're still waiting for an install date. Highly recommended. If we move again, Marc will be the first person I call.

SunPower and Marc Cirelli are a spot of sunshine!

We had great sales service and education from Marc Cirelli with SunPower. My co-worker went through them years ago...and about 5 of her neighbors did, too...and the customer service referral from their long history is what sold us. We did get a few other quotes, but all were pretty close. There was no hard sell, in fact, it was almost a year since our first contact with Marc to when we decided to move forward. He was informative and low-pressure. It was funny because on our install day, that went super smoothly, our neighbors across the street were getting solar installed with Baker...the Baker team was 3 trucks, a porta-potty...took 4 days and seemed like 20 guys...(though we learned later they had a total panel install and they guy fell through their ceiling...it was a mess!)...we had a solid team of about 5-ish and all extremely nice and they wore masks and were super great! Well, we had a smooth install, inspection with the City went well, and connection with SDG&E was easy...we even got set up weeks before our neighbor because they had an installation nightmare and then paperwork miscommunication that delayed it all. Needless to say, I feel confident about using SunPower and working with Marc Cirelli was fantastic. Personable, informative, responsive (SUPER QUICK!)....and I love the app on my phone to track our energy generation!!

Great!

Thanks to the great folks like Hector, Jeff Warren and Marc Cirelli by making the approval process easy and the install super smooth.

Stellar solar did a wonderful job installing our solar.

Stellar Solar was extremely proficient and efficient in installing our solar system. Marc our sales rep was very helpful explaining the process, the technology, and the warranties. Once we signed the contract, the entire system was operational in less than a month! I was very impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of all the installers and we are very happy with the results! I would highly recommend Stellar Solar if you are looking for a solid company that sells a good product!

Terrific From Start to Finish

Connor was our rep and from the first meeting he was professional and easy to work with. He provided great info about what we were getting and the pros and cons compared to other possible systems. He worked to smooth out zoning issues and was extremely responsive to questions. The install crew did amazing and even replaced a few broken tiles they found on the roof that were NOT because of their install. Since turning the system on, it has performed extremely well.
