Great experience

We selected stellar solar after meeting several solar installers. By the time we met with stellar we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, so our sales rep cut straight to the chase on estimates for a few different sizes of system installations. Of all the installers we met with, Stellar had the most comprehensive warranty for any damages incurred by roof penetration during install. They also had the best financing packages with a local credit union. Once we selected the system we wanted to install, the actual permitting and installation process proceeded with out a hitch. At each step a representative from stellar was there to let us know what was going to happen next, and when it would happen. Once we got our permission to operate there was a small issue with production data showing up in the monitoring app. Stellar had a service technician out the same afternoon to fix the issue. Since we started the process with Stellar Ive recommended them to two close friends looking for solar systems for their own homes. If youre in the market for a solar system, and Stellar serves your area definitely give them a call!

Excellent experience!

We researched several companies and Stellar Solar was the most responsive and competitive on price. They installed a 4kW system and over a year later we have had ZERO issues and are thrilled with the Sunpower panels. The monitoring app is very easy to use and works well. I was concerned with our delicate tile roof, but the installation and workmanship was top notch and completed in one day without a single broken tile. Stellar staff was professional and extremely knowledgable, guiding us every step of the way from beginning to end and they have followed up frequently to make sure we are 100% happy. I highly recommend Stellar Solar if you are looking for a reputable company that sells an excellent product!

job well done

I waited a few months before posting a review, because I wanted to see how they operated their business after the job was done. I'm happy to say that they continued to be professional, responsive, and courteous. David was our point person, and he was terrific. All of the rest of the team members were excellent as well. They performed the installation in a timely fashion, far exceeding my expectations (and even their estimation). They even came back to make sure the wiring was the right color for our stucco. The system has been operating smoothly. I will update this review if there are any issues moving forward, but I'm confident that Stellar Solar will continue to be the industry standard in San Diego.

I chose Stellar Solar over 7 other solar companies even though the company’s bid was not the least expensive. Bryan, Energy Consultant, is not only pleasant and friendly but also professional and knowledgeable about solar system. He answered all my questions and was very prompt with his email responses. We had to remove the pool solar thermal to install solar panels and wanted to check the roof condition as well. Since Stellar Solar took care of everything all along the way, we didn’t have to hire someone else to remove the pool solar or to fix the roof. Installation was quick and problem-free, and the entire process went smoothly. I’m really pleased with our solar system and highly recommend Stellar Solar. Great experience and definitely worth the price!

Great service

After much research and obtaining 3 quotes, we decided to go with Stellar Solar and purchased the SunPower 400W panels.  The entire process was very smooth, from the design phase to the actual installation.  Each person we had communicated with, to include the sales rep, office and service personnel were very courteous and responsive.  The installation took 2 days for 15 panels and the team that came out did an amazingly “clean” job.  The foreman was very thorough and meticulous, explained everything as we did the final walk through. We’ve had the panels for a couple years now and we have definitely seen a huge savings on our gas/electric bill.  In fact, we took advantage of a SGIP program last year and had Stellar come out again to install our Tesla Powerwalls.  And again, they did an amazingly “clean” job.  I would definitely recommend Stellar Solar!

As I was searching for different Solar companies (searching and asking friends and family) a friend suggested Stellar Solar. They had already had them for over 10 years and have not had any issues so I decided to do my research. After going back and forth between Stellar and a solar broker (stay away) I decided that Stellar was the one for me. Keith, my rep, was so informative and dealt with my millions of questions, some that were above his "pay grade" but he gladly took the time to find the answers for me. He made me feel comfortable about choosing Stellar. From start to finish everything went smoothly and a lot faster than anticipated. Everyone was very friendly and I couldn't be more happier with my decision to go with Stellar Solar. They also have a great referral program which I am hoping I can get a few friends on board to take advantage of! I highly recommend Stellar Solar to anyone!!

Great Solar Experience

Once we made decision to go solar, we researched several local companies and made the decision to go with Stellar Solar based on their positive ratings and extensive experience working on Spanish tile roofs. I’m glad we did, because every interaction them has been a great experience. They took the time to explain the entire process - from design to installation and operation - and they answered all of my questions, of which there were many. Throughout the process, I found everyone I dealt with at Stellar Solar to be very professional and helpful. I highly recommend them them to anyone interested in adding solar power.

Highly recommended!!

The Stellar Solar team are consummate professionals from start to finish. I highly recommend them if you're considering adding solar to your house. We installed 14 panels a little over 2 years ago and the system works fantastic. The first year my total electric bill was $69; the second year it dropped to $10 (after my neighbors decided to cut down a palm tree that was casting a bit of shade on my panels). The sales and installation team are prompt and accommodating. Highly recommended!!

Great Experience with Stellar Solar

We just had 17 solar panels installed by Stellar Solar on our home in Kensington. They did a fantastic job. The service, communication, and responsiveness was excellent. Would definitely use them again!

Very happy with Stellar Solar

I was extremely satisfied with our experience with Stellar Solar at our home in Poway, CA. We had never used solar before so it was very reassuring to have Kenny Rutherford, the sales person we worked with, walk us through the process step by step. He did a mockup of the layout and number of panels we needed based on our electricity usage, the all up costs involved, and the number of years needed to recover our investment. The entire team at Stellar has been very professional and responsive – in fact we intend to use them again at our new home in San Marcos, and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a solar system.

More than what I expected!

My story of switching to solar has begun after we moved to our new home in April 2021. I have communicated with several solar companies to quote me the price to cover or reduce my electricity bill. I will start with Keith Davey, he is one of Stellar Solar’s representative. I really can tell that he is a hard-core representative, very intelligent, and really knows what he’s doing. My first impression about Keith is that he treats you as a person, and not just a customer. He requested a video chat at the beginning, and that established a good communication between us. He was so opened for any questions, he explained to me all the ins and outs about the product and how that would benefit me. I almost landed on signing a contract with another company offering me a more competitive price. He asked me to give him a day and that he would fight for me. Finally, he called me and offered me the same price as the other company offered. I couldn’t resist his offer because he is representing LG panels, and as we all know, their reputation is way ahead of them. Furthermore, he was in contact with me in every detail, including the design, which I refused the traditional rectangular arrangement, and I proposed a kite-like design. Keith did his best and made it go through. Going forward, Jeff Warren stepped in, he was the project coordinator. He did an amazing job to make the process so smooth without any issues, thank you Jeff. Zachary Hood, the construction manager worked so hard with me. The construction team couldn’t install the production reading feature due to the complexity and limited space on my electricity switch board. When I called him and expressed to him how important that is to me, he didn’t let me down, he tried all his best and send the technician again to make it work. Thank you so much Zachary. Finally, I would like to thank Seth Rockwell, Stellar Solar’s inspector, for his patience and doing a great job to put everything together. In sum, it was a very nice experience with the Stellar solar team. They all worked hard and have a great customer service. I am so happy now, the solar unit is operable now, and I can monitor the production versus the consumption on the minute, which is really cool to have. I would highly recommend Stellar Solar.

Great Service, everything as promised!

Robert took the time to explain pros and cons to the various solar options, and from my initial meeting with him to everything being turned on took just over a month. Every department that worked with me was nothing but professional. I'd recommend Stellar Solar to anyone looking to reduce their SDG&E bill.

Love Stellar Solar

I've used Stellar Solar TWICE now. Both times went very very well. I highly recommend using them. The first house I had done years ago and they still answer and help with anything I need. Very good people at all levels. They walked me through my needs and any applicable rebates. They also have VERY friendly rates if you want to pay monthly. My electric bill NEVER goes up now. If you have an electric car imagine just putting sunshine into your tank. I love them and Solar!!

Great service

Had a great experience working with Stellar Solar for installation of our solar panels. Communication was prompt and easy to sign documents, our salesperson was informative and helpful, and we got our panels installed much faster than what we had anticipated. We had a hiccup with the city coming out to inspect our panels so that they can be turned on in terms of scheduling, but Stellar Solar worked with us to get our panels up and running as quickly as possible.

We had a very good experience with Stellar Solar. Dave was our contact and he very patiently explained how the process would work and what kind of delays we should expect, due to inspections, etc. After signing a contract, we were assigned contacts at Stellar for each portion of our project, which included a roof and electrical. We had a few hiccups along the way, but Stellar took care of those. Overall, we were pleased to work with Stellar and would recommend them.

Good communication and service

I just added on to my solar. I got a Plug-in vehicle and wanted to stay ahead of SDGE with electricity. Several years ago I had Stellar help replace my old original system from BP with Sunpower system. Their service was great and beyond expectations. So I decided to go with them for my additional add on system last month. Communication was very good, straightforward and honest. They didn't upsell and kept to our plan. I got regular updates and they stuck to the timeline perfectly. I feel confident I got a quality system and service. If an issue arises I know they will back the work as they have in the past. With so many Solar companies out there I wanted to stick with one I knew was reputable and had good service.

Very god company to work with for solar install

Would recommend Stellar Solar to anyone seeking to install a solar system. They were very efficient, showed up when they said they would and did a very clean install. The county inspector said this was one of the nicest installs he has seen. And their price was about the same as several other quotes we had received.

No Pressure Sales with Outstanding Customer Service

We had the pleasure of working with Stellar Solar for the installation of our PV Solar System. We interviewed MANY companies that offered a wide range in prices, products, warranties, and service levels. Stellar Solar and our sales manager (Dave) were outstanding. They offered a great product (went with SolarEdge) at an outstanding price and were very helpful and honest throughout the whole process. One of the things that i really enjoyed about Dave and Stellar Solar is their no pressure sales team. They provide their product information, price, any promotions, and let you make the decision for yourself. There were MANY other solar companies we spoke with that would call daily trying to pressure you into a decision or threaten to revoke a promotion or lie about current CA solar policies like NET metering or tax credit deadlines. I couldn't recommend Stellar Solar enough and i HIGHLY encourage you to reach out for a quote from them if you are interested in getting information.

I just got solar this month with Stellar Solar. It was super quick with permits and installation about 30 days. Went with them for the newer LG panels, and the way they help you through the process. The entire team at Stellar have been wonderful. They communicate every step of the way and keep the process moving super efficient. Highly recommend!
