Stellar Solar, excellent upgrade to a 10 year old system.

I have been a Stellar customer for 10 years, I recently upgraded my original system with extra panels and a Tesla Powerwall +. The installation added six QCell panels in two orientations, the old panels were upgraded with Tesla MCIs and tied into the new inverter. My installation was a bit of a pain as we have the S-Tiles and the roof has many orientations. I did bid the system with 2 others. One was slightly cheaper, but was a somewhat unintelligent suboptimal design. The other was as I asked, but $20K more from the guys who say OORAH, if you catch my drift they seemed shady. Stellar listened to what I wanted, and even accomodated letting me clean the old panels before reinstallation. However, it isn't just price, although their price is fair for project, they will take care of you if there is a problem. In fact I know that they took care of me for several internet connectivity problems on the old system, no charge. Albeit swamped with the changes to NEM2 to 3, they had time to get the details right in the system. I also believe they are more likely to be around to support the system should there be a problem in the future. Also to note the system they installed, including the Tesla Powerwall plus, works well, and is able to shift TOU power, saving me money. These guys are the real deal.

Stellar Solar is awesome. We shopped around and looked at a few other companies and Stellar Solar is without a doubt the best option for anyone in the San Diego area or any place they operate. From the initial site evaluation and measurements to panel and electrical design, permitting, loan applications and approvals, dealing with the HOA and state rebates, they did it all. I think maybe the best part about Stellar Solar is that it's easy to reach anyone that you need to. Customer service is paramount when doing something like installing a major component to your house or complex and Stellar Solar caters to to this need. Premium Service

This company is AMAZING!!! The entire process from start to finish was easy and pleasant. My wife and I compared prices and initial interactions with a sales rep/consultant from Stellar Solar, Baker Electric, and another solar company. It was an east decision for us to go with Stellar Solar. We installed solar panels and an EV charger. The price is reasonable, especially when considering the high quality experience working with their team and products. My experience started with Bryan Stevenson, Energy Consultant. He is very knowledgeable, proactive, and a true professional. He provided all the information we needed to make an informed decision. He was always ready and willing to answer any questions we had. Perfect Project!

I keep hearing horror stories about solar projects. Ours, with Stellar Solar, was the best project we ever undertook in our house. Key highlights: - amazing sales person in Connor Smith. He knows the market and the technology extremely well and gave us great advice and customization - quick design. Took less than one month between first contact and finalized design. - super fast installation: only three weeks between finalizing the design and the system connected to the grid and up and running! - high quality job. The execution was incredibly clean and high quality - great technology: the system runs perfectly. Cannot recommend Stellar Solar more.

Excellent Experience with Stellar Solar

I've been a customer of Stellar Solar since 2007 and was the first person in my neighborhood to install a solar system. Since then I have upgraded my system two times as my needs increased and Stellar Solar has done all installs. I now have a 10 kWh system with a backup battery and EV car charger and everything works GREAT! With all the solar companies out there, Stellar Solar has a track record for successful research of what system is needed, a great installation crew, and timely customer service response. Above and Beyond!

I received excellent service every step of the way! We have a metal roof that many other solar companies were not willing even consider. Stellar, however, had a great working relationship with a trusted roofing company and the two of them worked together seamlessly to get our solar up and running fast. Stellar went above and beyond, even picking up trash and screws another contractor had left behind. Every point of contact I worked with was knowledgeable, dependable, and quick to respond to my questions.

Stellar Solar Was Fantastic

Stellar Solar installed my 11-panel system on January 23, 2023. I bid this job out to 5 different solar companies and Stellar Solar was not only the least expensive of all 5 companies, they were also the one most recommended when I checked out their references. They did solar installations for 4 of my neighbors who live on the same street as me. I spoke with all four of those neighbors and they were all happy with the job and service they've received. All of my interactions with Zac Dowell (Sales Manager), Jeff Warren (Project Manager), and Eddie (My Installer) were extremely efficient, cordial, and professional. They went significantly above and beyond my expectations. With their assistance, I received my "permit to operate" from SDG&E very quickly on February 1st and have been extremely satisfied with the 26 kWh of power my 11 panels have been generating on a daily basis. As it happens, San Diego has seen a lot of rainy days so far this year. Yet I still received an overall "credit" from SDG&E during my first two months of operation...meaning that I've actually been using less electricity than what my panels have been generating. Outstanding! Bottom line, I would highly recommend Stellar Solar to anyone. As a matter of fact, I did refer them to three of my friends who ended up using them. And Stellar was very generous in sending me a $500 Amazon gift card for each of those three referrals. 5/5 stars to Stellar for their excellent product and service!

Stellar solar is known among the best companies providing solar in San Diego. I compiled a list of such companies and distributed among colleagues in our company. Those who chose Stellar were happy with the process and satisfied, so I stand by the best company list I created. Personally, I talked with them for my own solar project and obtained a nice quote. Although I couldn't get solar from them due to my own budgetary reasons, the process of obtaining quote and their subsequent work plan was straight-forward. I do recommend giving Stellar solar a try for your solar project. Try to reach Dave Gersz and get a quote from him and decide.

Fantastic

The team and experience of working with Stellar Solar are among the very best I’ve ever known. Their salesperson Kenny was incredibly thorough in walking me thru the process - the technology, scheduling, financing options and payback expectations. Although we were under a tight scheduling deadline which was exacerbated by my own schedule, Stellar Solar was still able to get me hooked up and operational well within the deadline for getting the benefit of the best rates from my local power provider. I am pleased with how smooth the entire process was, the warranty and on-going level of customer support and the fact that I am now selling back excess energy production to the power company, all within 2 months from the time I picked up the phone to kick off the process. I cannot say enough in praise of Stellar Solar and I can recommend them with in the most confident of terms. I am completely satisfied with this project!

Stellar Solar has completely changed my family’s life! Not only was the installation quick and easy, but the quality explanation given by the reps also took away all the confusion surrounding the mass amount of information on solar energy. We have had Stellar Solar panels for years now and still, we have no complaints! We just had our panels checked by the Stellar Solar team and are still up and running. Excellent Solar Experience!

Stellar Solar did an incredible job from opening to completion of the project. I was weighing Stellar against two other companies when deciding. Stellar had the most flexible options, and the highest quality product. I especially liked that they had been around so long, that you knew they were not going to go out of business and mess up my monitoring. Connor Smith responded quickly, efficiently, and professionally throughout the process. Once we got int contract, the process was seamless. I had a battery installed, then the solar installed the next week. Waiting for the permits was the longest part, but that’s just city bureaucracy. They scheduled install, inspections, and were present to wait for the inspector so I didn’t have to waste my day being there. The technicians answered all my questions very quickly – and I had a lot! From signed contract to up and running, it was about 10 weeks. Which was right in line with the timeline I needed when I first spoke with Connor. I highly recommend Stellar Solar to anyone looking for solar in San Diego. They were reliable, responsive, efficient, and an overall joy to work with!

Excellent service

We had such an amazing experience with Stellar Solar. We searched other companies, and nothing compared to the excellent customer service we received. Stellar Solar is committed to excellence. From day one our rep came to our home, and we discussed and reviewed our options. We discussed electrical usage and our yearly spend. We were spending $1,000 a month on our electricity bill. We also received datasheets, projected cost and our current usage. We went with the SunPower 360 and we installed 36 modules. We then went through the SDGE meter adapter process on our property. We also had to work with our HOA application process and our rep even offered to assist in filling out the form. There is paperwork that needs to be filled out with the electricity company and I received several emails keeping me abreast of my status from Stellar Solar. We then received our final design layout, and it was detailed and easy to read. I was also informed once the city had approved our final inspection. We then received a letter regarding FAQ regarding our next meter bill. We decided to pay our total solar in full and we are so pleased with our lower bill. We went from $1000 a month to a total of $700 for the entire year. Keith D CEO spent a lot of time with us and truly went the extra mile. We also received the 25-year workmanship warranty from sun power, 10-year roof warranty and a 10-year conditional monitoring warranty. I just can't say enough. I highly recommending Stellar Solar

Stellar Solar - Quality Work

My solar system became operational in March 2021. Since then I have not made a payment to SCE. I actually net a credit at the end of each year of around $350. Considering my average SCE bill was $120/month, I'm saving on an annual basis approximately $1800/year. Working with Stellar Solar through the proposal and installation process was hassle free. I had 4 bids including Stellar. All were within the same price range. What made the difference for me was talking to neighbors that had solar by Stellar. I received nothing but positive feedback about Stellar and their attention to detail. In the two years since the install, I've had no issues with the panels. They are still producing the same electricity as when first installed. Also, I've never had to call Stellar for any kind of fix regarding the installation. There has been no leaks in the roof.

We got solar over 5 years ago and we researched and met with several solar companies. Stellar was the least pushy, had the best responses to all of my questions and did everything they said they would do, including staying on the timeline. Great Experience with Stellar

From start to finish the Stellar team was great to work with. I was impressed that the installation team painted the conduit to match the color of the stucco on my home. That attention to detail is what makes for a great customer experience.

Made it easy to expand our system

As a previous customer it was a no brainer to contact Stellar when we were ready to expand our system. They were patient as we were in the middle of the ADU build when we contacted them. They went above and beyond to resolve our financing issue (a bank issue, not our issue) and locked in our rate when rates were starting to climb.

Solar and Tesla Powerwall

We decided we wanted to explore solar energy due to the increased cost of electricity as well as the frequent planned/unplanned power outages. We run our business from home and were interested in the stability that solar energy could provide. While researching solar energy companies, we received several bids but Stellar Solar stood out due to its competitive pricing. Trustworthy, followed through on their promises

This summer, we decided to get solar panels. I got quotes from a handful of solar places, Stellar Solar was not the cheapest, but I am glad I went with them. I'd read there are many businesses trying to cash in on the boom in solar and are happy to get you signed up quickly but then don't follow through on installing the system in good time. That was something I wanted to avoid. A friend had recommended Stellar after installing his system; they managed the whole process really efficiently, everyone I spoke to was knowledgable and never felt like I was being 'sold to'. It felt more like they were giving me information rather than trying a sales tactic. I spoke to Zac first and he quarterbacked everything from there; we had roof work done at the same time, and he arranged quotes from different roofers. We were happy with the roof work, the very next day after that was completed, a team came out to install the solar system! The timelines were much quicker than I first expected after hearing of newbie companies who don't follow through and can't get your system turned on. I think ours was inspected a week after installation and then turned on 3.5 days after that. The staff were all very friendly and we were happy to have them around the house. The system is very subtle on the roof, and we've been very happy with the experience.

Great Experience

We have been wanting to install solar for some time now but the process was overwhelming. You google solar and there is a flood of information online and you aren't sure what to believe. Initially we thought we were headed in the right direction using online platforms like energy sage. We thought we were doing our research and decided on a company. Luckily, a coworker referred us to Erin Presley from Stellar Solar. We began to understand there was a huge difference from buying from a solar company versus a 3rd party who contracts their work out. This is a big investment and it is not something you want to trust using any company. We felt very at ease with Erin from the first meeting. She was patient, explained everything in depth, understood the materials inside and out, and knew the answer to everything we asked. The product Stellar Solar is top of the line, made at their own warehouse, and installed very quickly. From signing out contract, we had our solar panels up and running within 5 weeks. The process was easy, seamless, and we did not have to lift a finger. Some friends waiting 6+ months for their solar installation. The app is easy to use, communication was amazing throughout the whole process, and we feel very at ease with all the warranties and customer support. This is the direction our world is going and to have freedom from the energy grid feels amazing. I would recommend Stellar Solar to anyone who asks.

After many research on solar energy, I finally decided to made an offer to one of the best solar company: Stellar Solar to install 10 solar panels on my roof. They did an amazing job to complete the design and installation in a month. They helped me to establish the best efficient way from setting up the accounts to smoothly started the power generation with SDGE. Now I enjoyed so much by setting up the best room temperature and all electric utilities around the house, almost FREE! I am sure I will receive money refund by the year anniversary.
