We chose Solar NorCal to install our solar system three years ago. The quote was competitive and we felt very comfortable with Heath Kirin and his team. We have been happily generating power until recently, when I received an email from them stating that there seemed to be a problem with our reporting and it appeared that we were not generating power. Heath came by the house and checked out our system. Turned out I had inadvertently left the solar breaker turned off when I recently replaced another breaker in our power panel! A flip of the switch and we were back in business! Thanks so much to Solar NorCal! We are very glad we chose them for our solar needs!

The owner, Heath, came to our house well prepared, presented everything clearly, answered all our questions, and had a competitive price. The installation was smooth, his crew was professional and kept us appraised on the progress. When it was ready to connect to PGE, Heath came over and did all the work and paperwork. In short, Heath walked us through every step of this complicated process. Now 8 months in, we can see our True-up is spot on and we have had zero complications. Excellent Solar Installation

I compared 5 different solar companies, big and small. I selected SolarNorcal because they provided the best combination value, quality, and warranty at a competitive price. My installation was a little more complicated than average since I was supplementing an existing solar system and the system was being installed on a metal building. The installation is very clean and they even managed to integrate monitoring of my existing system on the new system's website. Professional Work - Highly Recommended!!!

Great Company to Work With

I interviewed 9 solar installers and SolarNorcal was very competitive with their bid. Also they were very upfront on what could be done and the number of panels it would take to accomplish the results. They were very informative on what would take place, the time frame and what I would need to claim my rebates. They met all of their scheduling dates and their installation crew was top notch. They also helped me with a home generator I purchased and connected it to my electrical panels. In summary they were price competitive and did an outstanding install on time. Great Company to work with

Heath and Steve at Solar Norcal were great to work with. We got bids from 10 or so solar companies and Solar Norcal came in the 2nd lowest...the lowest company reminded me of a used car salesman. They got the system installed, installing the inverter on my house where I wanted it even though it meant more work for them. When they were unable to get the wattage panels that were quoted in my bid in time for my install date, they installed higher wattage panels for the same price. There were able to hook up the solar system to the breaker box without requiring me to install a new breaker box (new box can be expensive) since we were over the legal limit for feeding solar in through a breaker....everything upto code and passed inspections. After everything was installed and they received final payment, they've continued to answer all my questions. Recently when my inverter stopped uploading data, I emailed them and they updated the inverter's firmware and everything is back to working as it should.

Top Notch Proposal; Top Notch Product; Top Notch Installation

I must admit that I'm a nerd, and Heath's extensive knowledge and very detailed proposal appealed to my inner nerd. Several other proposals we received focused almost exclusively on the out-of-pocket cost hardly mentioning the products to be installed. I also appreciate the quality of the PV products Heath recommended: the Panasonic panels produce more watts per area and they degrade less over time, plus he sized the inverter which would allow additional panels for future expansion. Other proposals we received used less-than-prime products to achieve a lower initial price point which I determined was not in our best long-term interest. Ben and Cody were very professional in their installation; we're very pleased!

Most knowledgeable and responsive

I had multiple quotes on my solar job. Heath's quote was very competitive (not much difference in the five quotes received). His knowledge of the industry and forthright presentation was far superior to the competitors. The installation was excellent and timely. Heath continues to provide timely response to any questions I have more than a year later.

Excellent Company!

SolarNorcal was excellent to work with from getting the bid through activation. They provided the lowest bid with suggestions on which trees to remove before the installation of panels on our roof. They were on time, on budget and on schedule. They kept a clean site and the work crew were friendly and helpful.

SolarNorcal really understands the solar market & technology. Two competitors quoted 60% to 80% higher price tag for the same system offered by SolarNorcal. We are very satisfied with their services & the installation. Our overall PG&E bill for 2018 year was less than $200 saving us more than $3000 in the first year alone. I had Heath and his team from SolarNorCal quote me originally after reviewing a number of companies. The fact that 80% of my cul de sac already has his solar on the roofs was fairly convincing, but I still looked around. And after weeks of searching I ended up going with him. The install was done before the due date, the execution was flawless and I have been saving monthly since. They had actually quoted me two sizes and suggested the CHEAPER size. I still went with the big one just to be safe, but that is me.... There was NO hard sell and instead I was given accurate information to make my decision. The knowledge base of Heath was impressive and I felt very secure with his experience. 9.4 kW system.

System installed September 2018. This was a long process for me and I wanted to ensure I did my homework, not only on the installer but also with quality, efficient panels with the best warranty. I had limited space to work with so finding panels with the best efficiency rating was important. Heath and SolarNorcal worked with me for over a year from our initial visit to getting everything installed. I had many other companies give me bids and talks about their products before I made my final decision. I ultimately went with SolarNorcal because the panel selection and my confidence in their knowledge with these panels. A bonus was the price was very competitive, which is surprising given how good of a product they use. Went with a 9.4kW Panasonic system. SolarNorcal knows they have one of the most efficient panels with the best warranty's. My monthly finance cost is almost the exact same I was already paying and the system will be paid off in a small number of years. It was a no brainer choice in the end! Heath was easy to work with and very responsive to all my questions... and trust me I had a lot! Install crew was awesome and got the job done in 2 days. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a system with the best warranty and one of the highest efficiency ratings.

Extremely Happy with our System from SolarNorcal

We are extremely happy with the rooftop system what SolarNorcal installed on our house in El Dorado Hills. Heath was great to work with throughout the sales and engineering process. In fact, he was the only one of the 5 or 6 companies we talked to that provided the engineering right up front, so we knew exactly how many panels and where on the roof they would be placed. He even worked with us to move some of the panels around to make the system more efficient. The quote we received from Heath was the lowest cost of any of the bids we received despite the fact that it was a larger system than any of the other companies proposed. So far (since mid-May 2018) the energy production has exceeded our expectations and it has performed flawlessly.

My experience working with Heath and the team at SolarNorCal has been extremely positive. I have been in my home for the past six years and have seen a steady increase in my electrical bills. I knew I wanted to go solar but I didn’t know with whom. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews, but I was still unsure which company and what type of system was best for me. I wanted to make sure I was getting the best possible solar system and warrantee available. The design, layout and workmanship was also a top priority. I was very concerned about possible roof damage or broken tiles during the installation process and didn’t want to find out about leakage or problems years later. I also did not want a spiderweb of conduit all over my roof or the side of my house. I was also concerned about building a system that could comfortably support my family in the future without having to feel like I always had to turn things off and be uncomfortable just to minimize my electrical bill. I got several quotes from different providers. One of the quotes was from a large wholesale warehouse company which seemed to be the best deal until I contacted SolarNorcal. SolarNorcal beat that bid by almost $6,000 and it included a slightly better solar panel system. Another company said they can beat any solar quote so I let them know what my offer was and they were shocked at the price I was getting and told me to go with SolarNorcal. I also appreciated Heath’s patience answering all of my questions and explaining each step in the process. At no point did I feel any “high pressure” sales tactics and I even sat on the offer for a few months before deciding to move forward. The installation team was also great. The installation took a few days and it easily passed the city’s building inspection process. The layout was logical, conduit placement was minimized, and NorCal even painted the conduit to match the paint along the side of my house. So in the end I am very happy with my solar investment with SolarNorcal and looking forward to saving a lot of money with my electric bills. Great Product, Great Service, 100% Happy After 9 Months

We got our system installed in September 2017 and couldn't be happier 9 months later. Their prices were the lowest out of the 7 companies I talked to. Solar Installation

I chose SolarNorcal after considering several different vendors and multiple different products. Heath and Steve were both very accommodating in meeting our needs. Heath responded quickly to all of our questions and concerns with several re-designs in part due to our complicated roof as well as street exposure aesthetic concerns. The installation went very smoothly. We chose high efficiency Panasonic panels due to limitations of rooftop space with a mixture of Black on Black (street exposure) and Black on White together with Solaredge inverters/optimizers. Steve ran an efficient crew and was hands on for all critical aspects of the installation. The system has been up and running for over a week and is performing up to expectations. In summary, I chose SolarNorcal based on their expertise, high quality equipment and warranties, stellar reviews as well as fair pricing. I was not disappointed and they have my highest recommendation.

In looking into Solar I had done my research and then reached out to several local Solar contractors and requested bids. I let them know that I had done my research and wanted their best offer along with warranty info. After reviewing the bids I reached out and asked questions and in turn answered questions from those companies. I found that Heath from SolarNorcal had not only the best warranty but also the best price! The other companies were surprised at the bid that I received. My Solar is now up and producing (I check in online several times a day) and I could not be happier! I have already recommended SolarNorcal to several Family and Friends. We had SolarNorcal do our solar in October of 2017. We had a great experience all around! Heath is knowledgeable and we NEVER felt pressured, he patiently answered all of our questions. We had four quotes done by area companies and the level of service we got from SolarNorcal was well above the norm - and their prices were at or below the competitors. When we had the installation done the crew was amazing! They were nice, clean, and quick! They were also doing our next door neighbor's solar and I had a question - they came right over and answered it right away.
