The right way to do solar

Solar Tech handled the entire process from beginning to end. The team had the components delivered and within a week the install was completed. Any questions since install have been responded to very quickly. The system has been through a few hurricane seasons with high winds and did not a single issue. Production has been right on target and will provide decades of free energy. Pricing was of course very competitive and the components were top notch. I highly recommend the Solar Tech team.

From the first interview with Ross where he patiently explained every step of the process before my installation to a house call a week ago to help me set up the app on my phone, Ross and his team have been amazing. Great customer service, guys!

All I expected and more!

Solar Tech Elec LLC did my solar installation in October 2018. I couldn't be happier with the results. Ross answered my many questions and explained the entire process to me before signing. The crew that performed the installation was friendly, efficient and cleaned up everything following their work. I'm happy to report my electric bills for my home and the in-law sweet have virtually disappeared. Based upon the results thus far, I expect the payback period to be exactly as proposed if not better. Thanks Ross!

Quite a salesman, good at under delivering!!!

In 2017 I purchased a 15.12 kw system from Solar Tech Elec, Ross D. The sales pitch sounded great, for every 10kw of solar panels you will get about $300 of power. My power bill averaged about $430 for the previous year, so whe purchased a 15.12kw system. Ross told us we should have zero bill. We told Ross we were thinking of installing a new roof and may wait a year or two before we purchased the solar. He told me he would remove the panels and reinstall them for the cost of two days labor. I asked him how much he replied $800 - $1000. Since we were expecting to get more than $5000 per year in power savings, we decided that would be cost effective to get the panels installed now, and deal with the roof when it was time. Fast forward six months. We just haven't seen the savings Ross promised. I contact Ross with my concerns, he says wait a year, it is so hot right now the panels are not getting maximum efficiency. At a year I contact him again and he says well you got more kw produced than I quoted. Which was true, but that only added up to about $2400 in power. A far cry from the over $5,000 he promised. He had installed another system of the same size in my area and had again put out on his Facebook page, this system will produce $5,000 in power. When I asked him about that he replied "That's just advertising." Then at 15 months we decided it was time for that roof. I didn't discuss price with him because we had already been told the price upon sale. He had a different guy pull the panels and the roofing contractor replaced the roof in just three days. It took almost three weeks to get Ross to get the same guy to come out and reinstall the panels. Then he sends me a bill for $4,000. My system haven't even produced $4,000 worth of power at the time. Ross quoted me for a six to seven year payback on the system he sold me, however when I do the math it comes out to be 11 - 12 years. Come to find out he started out at 14 cents per kw even though the average in Florida was 12 cents and my power company only charged 10 cents per kw. Then he makes the claim that power cost will go up 10 percent year over year. Sorry but those numbers are laughable. Also, he would never tell me what report he was getting those numbers from. Ross says he has no negative reviews all the time on Facebook. But every time I write or read a bad review he deletes it almost immediately. Now he has even blocked me and my wife from his Facebook. Ross is not the guy you want to do business with. He company is built by buzz on social media and it is a con job.

Panels are Going Strong!

Ross and his team did a great job and our solar array is working as we hoped. We got an excellent price and were happy with the job. There were some hiccups with scheduling, but Ross got it fixed and we are very happy with their work, the quality of the equipment and installation. And most of all the near zero electric bill!
