Our first encounter was with our consultant, Paul Antoshak, who was both knowledgeable and professional. With his support, and the team at Solar Energy World, we successfully navigated the various administrative gates (including our HOA) to begin the actual work. Our installation is a 16 kWp system with 15 kW backup battery. The online app allows us to monitor our system's performance, and provides the information necessary to report our generation numbers to SOL Systems to recieve our SREC payments. In short, we are very happy customers.

Solar Energy World was very professional, with excellent communication throughout the whole process. From the initial Zoom meeting where Jay Randall explained all of our different options, to the installation, to the final inspection, we have felt confident that everything was professional and completed to the highest standards. We initially reached out to a national solar company that was unaware of local building code changes that had occurred in our county that Solar Energy World already knew about and was able to incorporate into our design. Great Service Start to Finish

I put Solar Energy World on my list of companies to contact because they are one of the larger and experienced installers in the area. I selected them for the project because of the quality of their proposal and straightforward approach by Jeff Nachman their representative. From the start, Jeff listened to my intentions and proposed two alternative systems, both at competitive prices. He was up front about scheduling and possible delays. In the end, the system was installed within a few weeks of the promised date. The installers seemed to enjoy their work and left the worksite clean at the end of each day. The panels are now producing electricity, and we are waiting for sunny days and low electric bills.

Great experience with Solar Energy World

I found Solar Energy World through my county's solar program, and have already recommended them to my neighbors. The sales process was informative, and the warranty is very good. I felt confident in the design after engineers came out to look at my roof - because of my unusual roof they actually had to cut a hole in the ceiling (which they patched and painted) to check some things. Installation went very well: the crew was polite and kept the worksite clean, and were happy to explain to me what they were doing. I was also glad to see them consistently use safety gear on the roof. Now that the system is turned on, I enjoy using the website to monitor energy production.

There were some issues related to the work to be done. Sales specialist and coordinator of the project, Pete Barnes, resolved the problems by consulting with specialists at Solar Energy World and effectively communicating with me. He is to be commended for keeping me informed throughout the planning and construction process and responding to my concerns and inquiries in a timely fashion. He certainly left the impression that he cared beyond the basic job requirements. The construction crew was outstanding, checking in with me every morning during the installation days and keeping me informed along every step of the way. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I judge the quality of the work done to be nothing short of excellent.

Friendly, step-by-step, detailed service

Our sales rep, Pete Barnes, clearly knew about the system and the process, was very friendly and attentive, and was available (at all times) whenever we had any questions. He articulated all of the details to us prior to us making a decision on getting the system. He then was with us every step of the way to ensure that everything went on without any issues and that we are on well informed of what is going to happen next. The system was installed in December of 2021. From day one (after inspections were complete and the system was turned on) we have started to generate power. Even in December we were around 30% energy independence. Given that we are heavily working/schooling from home - multiple rooms, multiple laptops, and entertainment devices on - I was pleasantly surprised to see that. It will be a while to see the impact on the bills, probably around summer, but perfectly happy with the purchase and the service from Solar Energy World.

Happy I Went Solar

I have been very pleased with Solar Energy World. I researched and got quotes from several solar companies. I went with Solar Energy World because of its 30 year triple platinum warranty that covers the panels, inverters, and all service related issues. Everyone that I have interacted with has been a pleasure to work with. Solar Energy World has a dedicated resource for each step in the process, and I was always notified and kept updated by the person handling each step. I always felt confident that everything was being handled quickly and efficiently. Solar Panel Installation

We are absolutely delighted with out new solar panels. Solar Energy World and it's workers skillfully and carefully installed our panels. Paul Skorochod guided us from the very beginning, sharing his knowledge of the product, understanding of our needs, and brought in all the parties necessary to complete the task and its evaluation by the power company.

Two systems installed by S.E.W

I had researched multiple vendors before finally deciding to go with S.E.W. My first install was a ground mount consisting of 42 panels in my rear yard. I was so pleased with the installation and performance of the system that when I needed more capacity due to some changes I made to my home I went with them for the second system. The second system was a smaller roof mount on my garage and S.E.W took the time to achieve the pattern and look I was going for considering this system was directly on the front of my home. During the course of operation I had one optimizer fail and solar energy world came out and replaced it completely under warranty. I am very pleased with both systems!

Worth the wait!

I talked to at least five different companies as part of installing solar. Everyone I talked to wanted to sell me different systems and made conflicting claims, ranging from an 8kW system covering 120% of my power needs to needing a 15kW system to cover 95%. Pete Barnes was incredibly patient with me and helped me understand how he came to his numbers. His numbers have been right on, and some of the other quotes would have been off by more than 40%! Once I was able to figure out what I really needed, Solar Energy World had very competitive pricing - and was the only company that set out an honest timeline. Several claimed I'd be generating power within a month, but that is impossible with my utility. The actual install was done in under two days. The crew did excellent and neat work, especially the electrician. I would highly recommend them. Generation started after the peak season, but it took until December before my daily use was higher than my daily generation. I'm very happy! I had an inverter die and it was replaced quickly.

Assessment of solar installation: excellent job!

Both sales and technical staff have been a pleasure to work with. All questions over the course of the installation were answered promptly and competently. Our sales rep., James Nasraty, is a credit to your company. Zachary and Abe, the electricians on the job, displayed a ready knowledge of their tasks and the technology behind their work. The installation crew worked very diligently and with little disruption to our lives here at home. We would be glad to recommend SEW to friends and neighbors for their own homes.

Top notch customer service from initial consult to post-install

I truly rarely write reviews but happy to do so for Solar Energy World and Pete Barnes. We had considered solar last year and was approached by a door-to-door sales person for another company (yes, during the height of the pandemic). We wanted some time to do our own research but this sales person was so pushy that he actually wanted me to sign a 19 page contract on his tablet (i.e., no ability to read the fine print) just to allow his team to access the roof for a more accurate assessment. We refused to sign and I am glad that we waited. I decided to reach out to SEW after seeing that they were part of Solarize Nova. We worked with Pete Barnes and could not have been more pleased. We had a lot of questions regarding the different panels and Pete was always available to answer our questions. We are lucky enough to cover 100% of our electricity needs with solar so switching was a no-brainer. The installation crew were fantastic - they completed the work as promised, leaving nothing behind. Each day, they met with us to describe what work was left and at the end, went over how to run the system with us. We have enjoyed paying only the Dominion service fee since August. We also had a scary issue where water was coming into our electric panel when it rained. We reached out to Pete who escalated the issue and SEW sent a service consultant to our house to deal with this issue. It turned out that the water had nothing to do with SEW's work (an underground conduit from the back yard had broken so rain water was leaking in). The SEW consultant still remained on site to try to help us figure out where the water was coming from. Pete followed up with us on a regular basis until we were able to call in an electrician to fix the issue. We have yet to find any contractor or service as incredible, trustworthy, and conscientious about their work as SEW.

Solar Energy World - One of the Best

Experience has been a pleasure. It began and ended with "Nick", the very knowledgeable, courteous, and human salesperson who was my primary contact throughout the experience. SEW won the bid because their competition simply fell by the wayside one by one. They were clearly the best on a number of fronts. I have previous experience with solar panels, having leased panels from Solar City (Tesla), which has generally been a good experience. Solar City was a prime contender for my new home, and I had a slight bias for their product, but their less than complete human interface eventually doomed their bid. My experience with their local technical staff was good, my inability, time and time again, to speak to someone who could help was frustrating. The deal killers were their two flawed demands, the first mandating the purchase of their $15K battery system, less some discounts. The second deal killer was their decision "to keep the Solar Residential Energy Credits (SREC)". If your state gives SREC's, this can represent more than 50% of the annual electricity you generate, a significant factor when purchasing the panels. All of the other companies provided SREC's, except Tesla. Two competitors overbid by about $8-10K, while the 3 other competitors, who were price competitive, could not match SEW's superior warranty, or failed to follow-up with me. I was also surprised how many companies refused to consider panel installation because I lived in a townhouse. There were several strong and technically accurate sales presentations, but I am still waiting for a follow-up from one of the companies, and Nick was consistently there with the answer whenever I had a question. The final compliment was when I did follow-up with one of the other companies and told them I had selected SEW, there response, "Sorry you did not select us, but they are a good company!"

Nothing but a joy

Working with Jeff Nachman has been nothing but a positive experience. If he didn't answer the phone on the first or second ring, By the time I was finished leaving a message, Jeff was calling me back. That shows true dedication, any and all questions I had, Jeff provided an answer to my question, If he didn't know the answer, he would go back and get the correct answer to my question, that is a trait I truly admire -honesty.

I'm very happy with my solar installation from Solar Energy World. Pete B did a great job explaining and and answer all my questions. He is local and very knowledgeable. I was impressed that they knew all the local regulations unlike the other quotes I received which did not know you can't put solar panels in certain areas on the roof. I was glad the paperwork with the HOA and the state went smoothly. The installation went smoothly and it works great. The installers were great at communicating at every point that I needed. I'm glad they scheduled and finished the project before the summer so I can soak up all that summer sun in the first year. It's saving the environment, it's saving me money on electricity, and it increases my home's value. We even got some drone pictures! Thanks guys.

Seamless process from start to finish - Top notch service

From my initial consultation, through assessment, contract, design, installation, inspection and final interconnection the process couldn't possibly have been smoother. Every scheduled appointment was made on time. Every promised timeframe was either met or beaten. Each person that I contacted, was contacted by or met onsite was extremely professional and answered all of my questions from the basics through the more technical aspects of the design and install. Each and every person is genuinely committed to not just the product, but also the customer and it shows. My install wasn't simply done to be good enough, but far surpassed my expectations. I couldn't be happier.

WOW! I am so happy!

My solar panels went in in Apr (2021) and I could not be more pleased! The process was flawless and Jeff Nachman held my hand all the way (not that I needed that much as I have been considering solar for a long time but was not able to do it until now. Glad I waited and went with the right company! The installers were professional and courteous; they cleaned up after themselves (and even went a little beyond because my yard looked neater afterwards than it did before). All my questions were answered with clear explanations and they didn't seem to mind me asking what to them were probably frequently asked questions. To give you a greater picture of my experience let me tell you about my electric use. First, I live in a 54 year old, ALL-ELECTRIC house. From May through Oct of this year my KWH from Pepco was 0 (zero). In Nov, I started to pull more electricity from Pepco then I put in BUT it was less than 1/2 of what I used in 2020 for the month of Nov. I expect that as the winter continues this trend will continue until early Spring, but that is expected and I firmly believe that the total by next April will continue to be far less than the previous years. I highly recommend Solar Energy World and if you are just wondering if this is for you - take it from me, it probably is!
