Highly recommend the Solar Energy World if you are think about getting solar panels on your roof. I just got my and got my energy bill down to 0. I am starting to making money by producing electricity. This company has great teams from sales, manufacture, installation to post sale support, quality and efficient! The solar panels look pretty on my roof like a piece of art without those ugly white strips. Working with them, you can only gain.

I am so happy I had my solar panels installed today! My salesman, Sean Grieves, was very professional and knowledgeable. His in depth presentation was informative and and covered all the information I needed to know about the solar industry and easy step by step application procedure. The installers were very friendly guys and very neat and clean while doing the install. SEW helped me to cut my PECO bill to almost 1/2 of what my monthly charges would be . Ty to the staff and SEW for helping me save money in these tough financial times.

The installation process was smooth, they showed up on time, and cleaned up well after the installation was complete. Smooth and guided

From first meeting to finish of hookup, Jeff was very present and helpful, guiding us and connecting us as needed, simplifying the buyers role incredibly. The installation was a joy: careful, caring for us and our home, the finished product is so aesthetically pleasing, functional, fairly priced and freeing. We give SEW our highest commendation and recommend them to family, friends, everyone who want to know about solar.

My Solar World

After contacting more than half a dozen companies for information on their systems, and processes I got fed up with the lack of info or even a return call. By the time I got to Solar World I was really skeptical. But after having their rep John Roberts come out to give one of the best explanations on the product and industry, the real time satellite imagery, and drone survey, I was in. The savings projection was very accurate. Even with financing it made sense. The timeline needed for the permits and scheduling was as projected. The installation was very well planned and coordinated with a fairly large crew. Everyone had their specific job. Everyone was friendly and explained any questions I had about their role. Even the techs that came to validate the system later were very engaging. Clean up was impressive. Perfect? Close. My first bill without admin costs or gas: $10.52. Boom!

A Reliable and Responsive Solar Installer

My wife and I chose Solar Energy World for our house's solar installation in Columbia, MD based mostly on the ratings from various internet sites. We found that the high ratings were (and are) well deserved. Less than 24 hours elapsed from the time we visited Solar Energy World's office and showroom in Elkridge to the time that their field representative Mr. Seth Tobin visited our house. Mr. Tobin was very personable and obviously highly knowledgeable - he thoroughly explained both the benefits and the costs a solar roof project. While sitting in our dining room, he was able to pull overhead pictures of our house with the surrounding trees and landscaping in order to make some preliminary sketches of variously sized systems with estimates of electricity generation and cost savings of each. With his guidance we actually made almost all the decisions needed to initiate our project right then and there. Furthermore Mr. Tobin explained in detail all the steps that would follow with what turned out to be very accurate time estimates. He did not promise unrealistic or overly optimistic starting or completion dates. His initial estimates actually turned out to be accurate to within one week. The quoted pricing was comparable to other estimates and was fully honored despite some additional work modifications (see below). Solar Energy World then did all the leg work to file the project approval application with our notoriously picky homeowners' association and architectural committee. Once approved, the installation of the solar panels and electrical work went very smoothly. Despite some spats of bad weather the installation work both inside and out was completed in less than four days. We were not home for the last day of installation, and one thing we noticed when we got back was that one of the conduits connecting two of the solar panel arrays on the front roof were more visible than we had hoped for. Before we could call Mr. Tobin, he called us (to ask how everything had gone), and after listening to our concern and talking to some of the installation managers, he determined that that conduit could be rerouted through the garage roof dormer attic space. A crew was sent the very next day and the project's appearance was much improved. This responsiveness alone allows me to give Solar Energy World high marks compared to many other contractors we have worked with for our roofing, our deck, our landscaping, etc... Now fully completed, the project more than meets our expectations. The electrical runs are much less conspicuous than any of those of our neighbors' installations. All the outdoor electrical boxes are conveniently placed without disturbing any of our shrubs or garden beds, and the basement boxes are also well placed and easily accessible. The electricians fully explained all the boxes and switches that we would need to know about. The one thing I will have to add to this review is the electricity production and cost savings when we finally put the system on line (we are awaiting final county inspection and electrical meter upgrade). Based on our experience to date, I expect to be fully satisfied. I am also confident that Solar Energy World will stand behind the system - they have a 30 year warranty and will replace any component under warranty even if the manufacturer goes out of business. Highly recommended !

Easy Process

Jeff Made the process of having our panels installed easy and pain free. His communication was excellent and explanations and timelines given were on point. I would definitely recommend using Jeff and his company to any friends or Family who are interested in going Solar.

Highly recommend going solar and using Solar Energy World

I can't say enough about how excited I am about these panels. I check the live monitoring app all the time and am really appreciating how well the system is working. There were lots of steps to getting this system but Zach from SEW was available at anytime to walk me through it all. I'm consistently asking him why more people are not jumping on this opportunity and getting the tax benefits of going solar. Granted, I have almost the perfect set up to enjoy non-stop sunlight on the back roof of my house from 7am-7pm. SEW is a local Baltimore company and, in my opinion, are a much better service company than going with one of the big solar companies. If you are at all considering going solar, I highly recommend giving SEW a call!

Have had a great experience

Started working with Carson Landis back in Nov 22 about setting up our solar unit. We own a manufactured home so the panels could not be placed on the roof, so we decided to go with a ground mount. We went back and forth a few times about the placement of the panels in the back yard but came to a great location. Carson was very responsive to any questions I asked and always got back to me in a very timely manor. The unit is up and we are waiting on some final things but I am very excited for it to start working and getting the very low electric bills.

Solar energy world is a top notch company to deal with for getting solar installed. They are reputable, competitive and stand behind their product. They're a major player in the mid Atlantic states and have been around for a long time. They have the best warranties and guarantees and help you get the most for the least. They also do roofing which was a steal of a deal to prep for solar. I highly recommend them to anyone in this past of the country looking to go solar.

Excellent and professional process throughout

Very smooth process from start to end with clear, accurate and professional information, no rushed sales pressure and in-depth communication throughout the process. Detailed system sizing and energy generation estimates. Responsive installers who made sure to create a very clean and unobtrusive install that does not detract from house features. Did a nice job with the critter guard all around (included in price). Equipment appears top notch, Enphase monitoring software works quite well, much better than the Generac system I had on a prior home. Getting utility company to let us operate took a few weeks longer than expected but still smooth overall with consistent communication from Solar Energy World. Would highly recommend to others!

Home Installation-Happy outcome

VA PV system installed is- 51 Silfab 370w module, 18.87 kW.-Inverter Brand-Enphase-in 2023. Starting with the Solar Analyst (Jon) and the final installation within a period of 3 months (Jan 11-March 22-2023) is absolutely unbelievable because the expected finish date was in May. The main office kept in touch with me to report the progress biweekly. The installation team of Dominique and Shae (Electrical) and Steven and Anthony (Roofers) worked very efficiently. For all three days the team arrived on time and left the place clean each day. It is my pleasure to provide them 5/5 rating for the professionalism, demeanor and courtesy exhibited by all members of the team. I will not hesitate to recommend this company for the Solar Energy System Installation.

Working with a great team!

From the moment we spoke to Jon, to the installation of our solar panels...we received the most professional and friendly assistance. Not only were each of the team members attentive to our questions, but they made it a very easy process to navigate. The on-site team led by Kerns (including Brian, Logan, etc) were extremely friendly and made it a point to explain the process in easy to understand terms. They showed up on time (early actually!) each day of the project. We have already recommended them to other neighbors and friends, and have no doubt that they will also experience the same level of care in their own process. Great job team!

Great Installation

Great installation, friendly efficient and effective crew, and super Field Energy Advisor, Jacques, who kept me informed of the process the entire time. Solar system seems to be producing more than original estimate, which was mentioned by Jacques. The only thing I did not like was that that the Company asked for a review (before I wrote this review) as soon as the system was physically installed, before it was even turned on. How was I to make a judgement on a black glass on my roof that I had no idea if it even worked? They even had the financing company pay for the system before it was turned on and before installation was approved by the county, which I found odd as well. Glad it works, guess they were confident on the system operating as it does.

I met SEW through the solar coop in Arlington and so had a steamlined invitation and then entry into the world of solar energy. The entire process went well for me and I am now waiting for the last step - the power company authorization - to be completed and then I can engage the system. The only hiccup was several bits of discarded materials left in the yard - so the entire process was not perfect, but the imperfection was one I was able to address without much trouble. Overall, I have been very pleased so far.

From start to finish, Sean Grieves was professional, responsive and patient as we learned about solar energy offerings. We received bids from 4 companies and went with Solar World not because they were the cheapest, but because Sean was able to explain the system and package and answer ALL of our questions (many, many questions) with expert, honest and detailed information. We felt the system, service and package offered by Solar World was the best quality and value for our home. Installation was accomplished with the same professionalism and care.
