Excellent and Professional Team

I have to say this is the Most professional team, I have ever come across. They have exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Been a veteran, I am so happy to know that a fellow veteran, was handling my solar needs. Then I was even surprised when 90% of the installers were veterans.

Excellent Choice

Installed solar on my house over a year ago. Have Realized over $2300 in savings in the last 14 months, producing to date 13.72 MW of free power. My May 2015 electric bill was $6.69 and I drive an electric car. Extremely happy with this investment. Scot Arey and his guys at Solar Centex are great and know what they are doing. They make it easy and they care. As important, they maintain a continued relationship with their customers. Your only regret will be that you didn't jump on this earlier. Up front cost? Think of it this way. Take what you will spend on electricity in the next 6-7 years and use it to improve your house, tax free. These guys will hook you up! (excuse the pun)

Excellent Solar Installation

Scott and his excellent crew did a fantastic installation. As a retired Code Enforcement Officer and Building Inspector, I can truly say this installation is the most superior of any of the systems which I have observed. Every aspect of the installation was accomplished in a very professional manner as proposed all throughout the installation. Thanks again Scott.

Excellent Company!

Scott and his crew were fantastic. They showed up when they said they would. Did what they said they were gong to do and did it well. I put in a 10.8 kW system and it is regularly generating 50 kWh of energy when the sun is out during the day. The quality of their work was excellent. The warranty is great. I recommend that everyone install the eGAUGE monitoring as you can easily see what is going on with your system with it. I also have the ECO METER installed and it is excellent to determine when you are positive for energy generation as well. This is quite simply an excellent company and I highly recommend them.

In the spring of last year, I contracted with Air Wind & solar out of Stephenville to design and install a 3.5 Kw system to help offset the consumption of the geothermal heat pump I was having installed, and to give me a battery back up to power the system if the electricity went off. This turned out to a disaster with Air Wind & solar proving themselves to not only be incompetent, but contentious. The project ended with them defaulting on the contract, and me having to contact Outback Solar for technical support in order to complete the system myself. With this unpleasant experience in my recent memory, I began searching for a competent solar contractor who could check out the system that I had installed, and be available to provide maintenance support, should I need it, in the future. Even though Scot knew that he was entering into possibly the worst situation for a contractor to be in, that being; facing a disappointed customer, and a system installed by a someone of questionable ability he proved to be a true gentleman and made a courtesy call to my house the same day that I called him asking for help. We discussed my situation, what I expected out of the system, and he agreed to send his crew out to do an assessment of the system. A week later Fred and his associate arrived and spent most of an afternoon going over the system with me. I’m still not where I want to be with the system, but feel much better about what I have after having someone that was obviously competent, and willing to discuss the shortcomings of my system with me. I’m looking forward to working with Scot and the crew in the future, and fine tuning my system to finally get it to the level of performance that I asked for when I began the project.

The company that did the installation was very professional, courteous, and thorough. I was pleased with the completion of the job and am very happy with Solar Centex. I highly recommend them to all persons interested in going solar.

Worth the Effort

We have had our panels on the roof since June of 2014. We live in an HOA community that is NOT solar friendly at all. Scot went the extra mile to work with us to get our panels up despite the road blocks the HOA put up . We only have enough south facing roof space to install 14 panels, but we are still seeing a reduction in our bill. Scot and his crew were great to work with. If you are on the fence about solar - do it.

No Electric Bill for 10 Months Straight!

Our central Texas 1-story home is 2,207 square feet and is constructed with ICF (insulated concrete form) technology, so we are very well insulated to begin with. Our energy bill before solar typically ran $90-140 per month. In 2014, we actually generated more electricity than we used from March through December, and had a $24.33 check sent to us from our utility company, Barlett Electric Co-operative, for the difference at year's end. The Centex Solar crew did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Two of the owners are fellow West Point graduates, so, I felt going into the process that there would be no issues with ethics/integrity, and I was not disappointed. From the initial visit, to the assessment on payback period, through the installation, and to the followup afterwards assisting with the Federal tax credit and system checkups, we've been nothing but satisfied with the product and the process. Go Solar! Beat Navy!

Great service and a perfect product! All of my questions were answered and the whole team did an amazing job on my home! I did my homework and I know this is the BEST solar company to work with! My home has never looked cooler!!

I love my electric bills!

I have received two bills from my electric company - and wish I had more so I could jump higher with joy. My panels were installed in August and although they affected my bill for September, it wasn't particularly noticeable. But my electric bill for October was $59 and for November was $34. I am delighted to have such a significant drop in my bills from last year. I can highly recommend going solar.

Very Happy with Solar Centex

These are a great team to have install your solar system. I had a 6 K system installed six months ago. I just went over 3 Megawatts today. My system faces East more than South. I just had Ben out yesterday to do an estimate. I want more on my South roof. Scot and Ben do all the hard work. All you need to do is be willing to make the investment. Filed my IRS papers yesterday. I expect the full 30% credit. Turbo Tax had no trouble with the paperwork. Yep, very happy with Solar Centex.
