Solar Bear

Jeff our salesman did a wonderful job at explaining to us all the great benefits of going solar. When speaking to Jeff he also did mention that they are a roofing company and that they could help us out with a brand new roof as well as spray foam insulation all bundle together.

Install team from solar bear did a wonderful job. Very professional and cleaned up after themselves. We also did spray foam I insulation and those guys also did a great job, very professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, we’re very happy with the installations from both departments.

Highly Impressed with Solar Bear I recently had the pleasure of working with Solar Bear to install solar panels on my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Solar Bear

Much appreciation for Tom, Hugo and the install team for solar education, efficient workmanship and pleasant experience.

After several months of an evaluation and selection process with over a half dozen solar providers, we are finally live with Solar Bear today. We selected Solar Bear based on our excellent experience with Will McLean. My wife was initially against solar, and did not want to hear any more presentations. When Will came to our house and explained how it all worked, she finally listened and changed her mind. Will was a consummate professional- patient with all of our questions and highly responsive as we navigated the factors that were important to us. In fact, we even purchased three back up batteries. Patricia was our project coordinator- she was also very responsive and provided excellent step-by-step updates on what to expect, and when to expect it. The installation crew was top-notch! They worked tirelessly throughout and completed the panel placement in two days on a tile roof. Often times when you have work done on your home, you are told one thing and experience another. That’s not the case when you work with Solar Bear. It was a pleasure to see this crew work so well together as a team, and for them to deliver on their commitment to us. We ran into a slight delay getting our net metering turned on. When we raised the issue with Will- he was able to quickly escalate the issue to his leadership team, and it was resolved literally in two hours. Today- Chris a member of the installation team came back and provisioned the batteries. He demonstrated great technical skills, and it was clear that he has a level of mastery in his trade. He gave me his personal phone number in the event we experience any issues. The last member of the solar bear team we worked with today was Wilfredo. A highly personable and professional team member, he helped us install the apps on our phones and walked us through the dashboard, so we could understand all of the technical monitoring components that come with the app. He was a pleasure to work with- explaining technical information that was very new to us, in easy to understand terms. It was a long process, and it is very exciting to now be live with Solar Bear! If you are in the market and interested in switching over to solar- we highly recommend talking with the team @Solar Bear.

It’s been a great experience the communication was great. My sales man Aaron was great very professional and not pushy at all. He really knows his stuff and glad we went with him and solar bear.

Patricia, our project coordinator did a great job at helping us get us through the finish line. we did have some issues with permitting and getting revisions done but after it was all set and done, everything did get corrected and we did finally pass inspection to go to interconnection. Troy our sales guy was very professional and very informative on the process of going solar. overall, we did have some difficulties, but we are very happy. We still made the decision to go solar and are now glad our system is overproducing and we’re sending a lot of power back to the grid.

Solar Bear have kept their promise, to solve all the issues, in the past. And, I thank them for correcting, the solar panel connection problems. And keeping to their promise, in their contract, I have been reimbursed for an issue. So, I clearly release them, from the previous bad review. And give them a thumbs up, on a good job, well done. keep up the good work. thank you and God bless you and your families.

DO NOT Use Solar Bear if You Don't Live in Central Florida

We went with this company over local companies because they get such great reviews. Our experience was very different from most other companies. The salesperson, Michael, was great. That's it. Everything fell apart after we signed the contract in October 2022. We were told we would have solar panels within two months, and we ended up waiting more than 6 months for our solar panels to be installed and another 6 weeks to be hooked up to the grid. As soon as our project was handed to Patricia, we were in the dark. She basically ghosted us for 2 months and when she did respond to our requests for updates, she did not take ownership of her failure to keep us informed, sent us information about other projects, or provided inaccurate information. When I attempted to reach out to the company via the phone number and chatbot on the website, I could not directly access representatives. I left messages, only to never get calls back. We finally received a call from one of the owners, in February of 2023, within 2 hours of me writing an email threatening to cancel our contract for not completing the work, after more than 3 months of waiting in the dark. I had to contact our city department to get updates about our permits because we weren't getting info from Solar Bear. On multiple occasions, when I called the city's permitting department, they informed me that they were waiting for something to be corrected or submitted by Solar Bear. On the day we were finally getting the panels installed in April 2023, a team drove 4 hours to Tallahassee, only to find they didn't have the materials they needed to complete the installation on a metal roof. They had to wait to start the job until someone brought them materials from Tampa. The inspection failed and we had to wait another several weeks for Solar Bear to send a tech to Tallahassee from Tampa to fix all the mistakes. In the meantime, we were making payments for 2 months on solar panels we couldn't use. We signed a contract October 11, 2022, and started using our solar panels on June 29, 2023.

Team Salsa should be called Team Perfect. These gentlemen were happy and smiling and polite. They worked quietly and efficiently. Are you ready for this, they cleaned up after themselves. Solar Bear, you have a great team and I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you Team Salsa! Great job!

First day of Install

Thanks so much to the install team: Brian the lead, Bo the electrician, Alec, Anthony and Skyler the roof installers, etc. They were so smooth and neat! I am so happy. The team showed up on time, Brian explained the various processes regarding battery and storage placement and ensured all was good for the first day before leaving for the day. I look forward to tomorrow and the completion of the Franklin panel changing out the electric meter and getting my system up and running. Thanks Solar Bear!
