Skyline Solar

I’m a 76 year old widow and they lied about everything. I now have a $78, 000 loan. My monthly bill is over $500.00 a month, should be $230.00 at the most. My system is not working…I’ve tried calling, emailing and writing and nothing. I need help and there is no one out there to help. I was hoping the Attorney General of Colorado’s office would help but NOOOO.

Let me begin by saying that this company doesn't understand anything called "Customer Services." After I sent them my roof design, they returned with a design of the solar panels' layout. I approved it. On the day of the installation, their installers found out that there was a big discrepancy in the layout design. For example, they designed to install nine panels on one area of the roof, and it can only fit four panels. Their installers tried to explain the problem to the people in charge, and no one understood what the problem was. I had to reach out to a VP on the East Coast. They re-designed and installed it. Here comes the serious problem. One month after installation, they still can't send a person from their company to host an inspection. I kept texting and calling them to schedule one. They kept coming back with some nonsense excuses. Up to this point, there are still no inspection appointment and no words from anything about inspection. This is the worst after-sales service I have ever experienced in my life.

Apparently this company 'no longer services our area' the area that they came into and installed systems with a 25 year warranty that THEY were to uphold. My friend has half of her panels not working and we can't get the company to honor their contract, answer their phones or emails. All of this after the sales rep flat out lied to four of us on multiple occasions and then stopped responding to any calls and emails. I was told 3 months later that he had left the company.

We are in Grand Junction Colorado. Since our system was installed in November 2024, we have not seen any significant savings because our system is not fully working. We have a total of 16 panels installed and only half of them (8) are working. The sales person no longer works with Skyline Solar. We were told by the sales person before he left the company that someone would come to our home to explain how the Solar Edge app works. This never happened. We assumed our solar system was operating correctly since the last worker at our home stated our solar system was up and running. After several months we still have not seen any savings, come to find out only 8 of the 16 panels are not working. We have contacted Skyline Solar, their response was, we unfortunately are not servicing your area, and supplied some email links for us to find someone ourselves. This is not the kind of customer service we believed we would receive for Skyline Solar who was able to have a salesman and an installation team show up and complete the install, but not support their product. We have opened up several support tickets per the request of Skyline Solar, and as of today we have not had anyone help us out yet. We have also reached out to Solar Edge who said that Skyline Solar needs to have someone come out and check and repair our system. This is not Solar Edge's responsibility they stated. They said the installer needs to fix this. Our system is still under warranty and per Skyline Solar guidelines, the repairing company must be Solar Edge certified to maintain the warranty coverage. We are not able to locate a Solar Edge Certified company to come to check our system out. We don't want to have our warranty voided by having a non-certified solar company do any repairs to this system. Skyline Solar needs to do what is right and support the warranty/ product. PLEASE HELP US. This is a below one Star at this time.

Skyline did an excellent job at every stage of the process. They were always available for questions. Installation was completed in a timely manner and I always felt like I knew exactly were we were in the process.

I would not go with this company! The salesman told us that we would get a $10,000 back with taxes and we just give it to the finance company and our payment would not go up. He stated we would probably get get it with in 2 year span. He was wrong! It is a non refundable credit which means we get credit but it is not a refundable where we would get $10,000 back. I called and told the finance company they told me I had to call a lady at Skyline. I called and left a message and she sent my husband information on taxes. I called her back left another message telling her I didn’t need information on taxes that I had already talked to a tax expert that explained things correctly unlike her salesman who lied to us. I wanted to know how she was going to make it right. I still haven’t heard back so I’m guessing we are just stuck and our payment will now raise. Never go with this company! I would give no stars if allowed!

I had a great experience and a smooth process. Everyone was great to talk to and help with all the questions I had.

We need to add another star to this company, they did an amazing job from A to Z, from the inception to the end everything went smooth, the communication was top-notch, and they kept me in the loop every step of the way explaining this daunting process so I could understand how it would help me in the long run. The techs were nothing short of phenomenal, explaining everything, being quick with the installation, and respecting my property and my time. A value you don't see nowadays. Thank you Skyline Solar for a great experience.

I had spoken at lengths before agreeing to get solar and was told multiple times that the panels I’m getting would more than cover the energy I use. That was absolutely false, I’ve had my panels for about 18 months now and they have covered my electric bill TWICE. They say they are working properly and everything looks perfect. When I ask what the point of them is, if I’m still paying electric on top of it, I was told “to ease the financial burden.” I’m literally paying twice as much as I used to… they don’t care about customers or helping anyone. Beware before you buy

Skyline solar was a good company to start with. But after the system was turned on. I got an electronic bill that was double any bill I got before. Come to find out. They had been receiving warnings that the systems grounds was not working. So not only was the system making power and driving it into the ground. It was also pulling power from the grid and sending it into the ground cause it was never programed correctly. They have refused to compensate me for the wasted power it was pulling from the grid. Cause the system was never working right. This put me past there 120 day Guarantee. I had already made 3 payments beforeit was working right. They only paid for one. I will never recommend this company. Clearly they don't give a damn about there customers.

Skyline was not the cheapest quote I received but I liked their ability to support both the install and the permitting. I have not needed service yet but I know there are local support people available. This is very important to me. Who needs to wait for support from a remote location. Thepanel layout was better than any other suppliers I talked to. Got all the panels on my south facing roof. Others had panels on the west side where they were partially shaded. When I wanted to change from a loan to full payment upfront they were very willing to do this even tho I had signed a previous contract.

Skyline Solar was such a great company to do business with! They made me feel reassured and comfortable throughout the entire process. They always informed me on where we were in the process and got things done diligently. Charles was the best to work with!

Good Communication throughout and delivered an experience that the sales person described. Very happy with with the process, took 3 months for install of the panels but was communicated as each step went along.

I was referred to Skyline by a friend and I’m more than pleased with my experience a year in. Installation is very well done and clean looking.

The process was simple from the beginning to the end of the project. All staff was polite and done their job well.

Everything started off great. Then the problems. Oops here, oh its a new guy there, oh that person yeah you got me now ill fix everything. Well it's not working yet. The follow up is terrible. Even when I'm trying to refer people as I was trying to do in the beginning. 4 months now not working yet. Come on you have my house as a service on your website COME FINISH THE JOB

Started out with promises from salesman that evidently were never meant to be fulfilled. The price we agreed to was supposed to include a new interior panel updated from our current Federal Pacific panel. Skyline had 3 different electricians that told me the panel was unsafe and not up to code, also 3 electricians and the electrical inspector told me it was not safe, I guess Skyline doesn't care about their clients safety. We never would have signed for the $ 45,000.00 dollar cost if that promise was not made. They took advantage of us from the get go as we are senior citizens and still believe in a persons word. They also cut 3 irrigation lines and supposedly fixed them. I had one leaking so bad they dug it up again and sent a man out to fix it again. He couldn't fix it so I had a guy come and help me fix it. Makes me wonder if the others are fixed correctly. They also cut a 220 line when trenching, also wonder if that's fixed correctly. The office people & project manager has been totally rude and unwilling to even listen to our concerns. I asked to speak to their supervisors at least 6 times and none of them ever called back. It has cost my wife and I over $3000.00 just to get their mess ups and our system safe, The mental anguish has also been very difficult to deal with. We are both retired and on a fixed income and are trying to figure out how to pay for these extra cost and the 45K plus for the solar. I am truly sorry I ever called Skyline Solar, and would never recommend them ever. The only pleasant part was working with their installars and one office person named Amanda who all seemed to try to help us . Also we have asked for an itemized invoice before installation and after, Brenda our Project manager said she would work on it, but we still have not received anything from her, and probably never will. I can't believe Skylines owners / supervisors let this kind of terrible service go on.

We've been working with Lindsay to get our panels installed and have had a great experience! She was very helpful and answered all of our questions very well. Skyline Solar has made the whole process super easy, taking care of all the forms and giving regular updates.

The representative from skyline solar for me was Lindsay and I don't honestly think I could've gotten someone better out there to help me with this process. It all started out with me running a little late on the way back and she was very understanding in this happening, while also letting me know that she would wait and get things ready while she waited. Once I got there she was fully prepared did a walk around of the house and showed me what would be worked on and gave me an idea of everything that would look possibly different. Once inside she was able to answer any possible questions I had about what would be going on and she even explained step by step everything that would be needed and possible timelines to expect. While there she even got in contact with the engineer team about a possible question I had and was able to bring down the amount of solar panels that were gonna be required for my home. I'd give a 10/5 stars as a total rating for this experience.

This was the first time my husband and I ever did anything like this, but we were able to get through the process (which was not lengthy) quite easily thanks to these guys! They helped contacting our electrical company and explained things in a way that was easy to understand! The actual installation was a quick affair as well, and to top it off... we got our first bill just the other day and it was about $100 cheaper than our normal electric bill!! 10/10 would recommend and would do it all over again if given the chance.

I worked with Lindsey from Skyline Solar in Des Moines. This was the first time I considered the possibility of any other energy savings options. Lindsey was super helpful working around our schedule and providing details on costs, as well as what the process would entail. I have still been receiving updates along the way and are very close to the install date. I appreciate everyone being able to provide comfort and security on the choice we made. I would definitely recommend skyline solar if you consider the switch.

When I met with the local representative, Miss Lindsay Reyes, she explained the program and process to me. Miss Lindsay was VERY professional, VERY knowledgeable, and VERY respectful and courteous.

We worked with Julie and she was a very energetic and nice young lady. She explained how everything works and was happy to answer any questions we ran across. Easy process, would highly recommend Skyline Solar.

Amazing company to work with!

Excellent to work with. Quality product and respectful contractor. The whole process was simple and well explained to me. I was well informed of all the steps during the process. The engineer fully explained the design and the expected production of the system prior to installation. The panels appear to be extremely efficient.

Our system was installed with an outdated modem (3G) when it was installed in October 2019. As a result, we have no way to verify whether our system is functioning. Grand Valley Power does not have any way to inform you if, in fact, they are "purchasing" power from your system. I have contacted Skyline Solar to help get a new modem installed, to the tune of around $900. They were able to tell how much it would cost, approximately, but have taken no action to get it installed, despite my repeated calls & messages. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Skyline has been great to work with thus far. Our project has had a few hiccups causing delays in getting it up and running (at no fault of Skyline) and they've been extremely communicative.
